[Yuito's POV]

"That's impossible."

"Does he have a death wish or something? Please at least four people spot him."

"No, no. He did 400 right before with ease. I think he might get this."

"400 pounds?! That's insane!!"

"No boss. Kilograms."

!!!!!!!

"Madness!!"

"Yeah, I was surprised too. I haven't even done my workout. I am busy watching him. Throwing around that kind of weight is insane."

I smiled as I heard the chatter around me. I was happy for two reasons, one I could already understand them perfectly and two, it was always nice to hear words of amazement when you lift.

[Korean : Intermediate]

As I expected, it took only a day for me to level up my Korean. It was awesome to have the system's assistance because it was kind of like a boost whenever I level up.

I stared at the bar and the bright ceiling as I got ready for a bench press. I was lying on the bench in perfect form as I found my shoulder width where I gripped the bar.

My form was almost flawless because I have this skill after all.

[Powerlifting : Intermediate]

I heard the comments of amazement but I did not see their faces. Right now I was attempting a 500 kg bench press with no straps. The world record, if I remember correctly was around 700 kilograms. So while this was an impressive lift, it was not impossible.

But it might as well be with my build. 6 feet with lean ripped muscles, around 85 KG.

Even though I had just reached Korea yesterday, I could not stop my training. That was why I came to this gym which was not too far from the hotel I stayed in.

I had my own gym back at home so it has been a long time since I went to a regular gym. I missed the atmosphere and the attention I get when I lift heavy.

It's nostalgic, to be honest.

"You ready?" The big guy who had volunteered to be my spotter asked as I nodded in affirmation. I honestly did not need a spotter at such a light weight but no one would believe me if I said that.

The spotter helped me get the bar up and he carefully let go of his hands, as if he was afraid I would drop the weight the moment he took his hands off.

But he was wrong, the bar was still suspended in the air even after he took his hands off. I slowly lowered the bar onto my chest and I let my muscles stretch as I slowly hit the full depth.

I stopped right before my chest to feel my muscles but it looked as though I could not get it back up to the people. Four people immediately came to help me.

'Annoying.'

"No!!" I told them as I began pushing the bar up slowly again. They watched with their mouth hung open in shock.

A person of my weight, benching 500 kg? It was almost funny just saying it out loud but seeing it in real life had them in shock.

But their shock soon turned into disbelief as they heard my words.

"One."

What's more surprising than a person hitting 500 kg? It's a person hitting 500 kg, for reps.

"Two."

Not enough.

"Three."

Hehe. There was a loud silence and only my counting could be heard throughout the gym.

"Four"

I have taken their souls.

...

...

"Eight!!!" I said and finally put the bar back on the rack. I could've gone for more but I didn't want the onlookers to pass out.

I sat up as the people crowded around me in amazement, with their phones recording the whole thing. The girls, like always, were the most enthusiastic ones.

They touched my muscles and the men checked the weight on the bar to make sure what they had witnessed was real. Their eyes shone in admiration when they found that, indeed, it was real.

But it was just the beginning as I continued lifting weights they had never seen before. I deadlifted 450 kilograms for reps again and squatted 500 kg.

After that, I began practicing my martial arts and almost all the people in the gym watched my training with astonishment.

At one point it was no longer a gym but a cinema where they watched me train. I was like a celebrity as people took out their phones to record my training.

I also put on a show as I hit the bags. My punch sounded like gunshots and my kicks thunder. My perfect techniques entranced them like nothing they had experienced before.

Korea was known for producing fighters after all, so they could comprehend just how amazing my skills were. I even sparred with some of them and although they were stronger than my sparring partners back at home, they stood no chance.

They had many questions like who I was, where I was from, do I had a girlfriend, my age etc. I, in good humor, answered, and as expected, they were surprised to find out I was Japanese.

During the process, I also told them that I was competing in the upcoming tournament 'Absolute Championship'. Then the hype around me intensified.

I spent a good three hours in the gym before I took my leave and returned to my hotel. I left feeling relieved and content but I was sure that I would never go back again.

I have attracted too much attention. I wouldn't want to return.

But that was no problem because my hotel also had a gym, and although it lacked good equipment, it was better than people crowding me like today.

Today was a one-time thing.

"Hah, what a good workout."

********

What I did not know at the time was that people did their research on me and when they found out I was some martial arts prodigy from Japan, they posted pictures and videos about it.

All the things I had done in the gym were recorded and they spread around the internet like a forest fire.

They posted videos of me powerlifting and showing my insane strength and my training where I showed my perfect techniques.

People posted photos of their selfies with me under the caption, 'I met a Japanese prodigy at my gym today.' or 'Young monster from Japan, is Korea ready for him?'

Then they even made edits to my sparring videos and soon enough, my fans from Japan got a whiff of it as well.

Their martial arts prodigy was going to participate in an MMA competition? My fans from back home showed full support and old edits of me surfaced back again in full hype.

Many of them, especially my fans from school, booked a plane ticket to Korea to support me as well.

Then the hype train continued and overnight I had become viral. My handsome appearance and my aesthetic body that shows through my tank top did much to boost my popularity as well.

I even got fans from Korea already, mostly girls.

The Korean internet could not get enough of me, and overnight I had become....

Viral Hit.
