Chapter 12 Kyla’s tragedy

**Present time**

*Knock* *Knock* It was midnight and Aron had just been woken up by the usual erotic dreams. Coincidently, that's when he heard a knocking on his door. Getting off his bed he opened the door to find a completely naked Kyla on the door. As soon as the door opened she fell in his arms. "Can I sleep with you today, Aron?" It was a dark night but the boy can still see the beating marks all over her body.

His heart pained at her plight. He put his arms around her and pulled her tight against his chest. What can he do? Both of them were nothing more than slaves, with not an iota of cultivation. Even if he tried to stand up for the poor girl, he too will be beaten down all the same. His best choice was to endure for the time being and try to strive for a better life. If someday he can raise his status to a student, then he can help out both Kyla and Caleb. These two were the only people he cared about here.

"Come." He pulled her along and they hugged each other in the warm bed. "Was that the same guy?" She didn't tell him but he knew, it must have been the same person from earlier, from whom he had saved her. Kyla was truly one of the most beautiful girls among the slaves. That must be the reason why she was targeted again and again.

She didn't reply to his question but her silence itself answered. Aron pulled her head in his chest. "Next week you are coming with me. I had found a job that will last a week. It sure will not deter him but at least you will be away from this shit hole." Kyla only replied with a slow hum. "I am working hard to become a student, Kyla. Please give me some time. I will take both you and fatty away from here."

Kyla pulled back from his chest to look into the deep eyes of the boy. "Are you telling the truth? You will take me away from here?" The girl was older than him by 3 years but right now she was no more than a kid with tear and hope-filled eyes. "Yes. Give me 3 months. Please endure it for this much time." Kyla gave a nod and placed her head back in his chest.

"Why don't you come here at night to sleep with me?" Kyla shook her head without a look at him. She was aware that if she did that continuously, one day or the other, those men will figure out Aron's location.

The boy didn't know the reasons why she refused him but she must have had her reasons so he decided against asking her more about it. "Aron, can you kiss me once?" Some time passed when the girl put forth her request. He can't refuse her in such a situation. "Okay, but I have never kissed anyone. So you might have to guide me."

Well, that was not entirely true, since from the last few days he had been haunted by those erotic dreams and kisses were the least sensual thing that they did. Kyla took the opportunity to get on top of Aron and without any delay, pressed her lips against his. She began sucking on his lower lip while their bare chest rubbed against each other.

Sure, Aron was mostly interested in the mature ladies as compared to girls but he was a man in the end. How long can he keep his erection in check? Kyla had forced her tongue into his mouth, allowing the boy to learn to suck on it. Just then, something poked against her crotch. "Hmmm??" Her hands caught the intruder. "Hain?" Kyla was so surprised that she had to end the sweet kiss.

For a few minutes, her mind short-circuited.

Was this his cock? It was huge. Kyla gulped in fear. "You are too big, Aron." The boy latched back on her lips, this time forcing his own tongue in her mouth, while his hands grabbed onto her big chest and began lightly squeezing them. "Mhhh.. mhhh.." Kyla moaned lightly whenever his thumb would rub onto her nipples.

"Don't worry. I know you have already been through a lot today. We will do it some other day." Aron tugged her long hair behind her ears, before pulling her in a hug and dozing off. Kyla can feel all the pain and loss she was feeling, dilute in his warm embrace. How good it will be if she could remain like this forever? With that, she too closed her eyes.

"Please know this, I can not guarantee that granny Nancy will allow you to enter. The best we can do is to try to persuade her by bringing your parents into the conversation. Granny Nancy lost her only son in a war last decade, so she is usually a bit weak when in family matters. Thus, that will be our best shot. Leave everything to me, if she tries talking to you, make sure you do your best to act hurtful at your loss." Julia gave him the complete monologue as they walked together towards the Central Library, next morning.

Aron was impressed with Julia's knowledge and how far she was willing to go, to help him out. "I can't thank you enough, Ms. Julia." The blonde shook her head. "Just do your best. If you can qualify as a student, then that will be the best compensation for all my invested time."

"You are truly a very kind girl, Ms. To tell you the truth, except for Mrs. Yana, I didn't have a good impression of the higher classes. But you and your friends have made change my outlook." She turned around to find the boy was sincere with his words.

"I know, a bunch of them can be real jerks. Anyhow, you need not butter me up, just remember whatever I told you and don't mess it up." Unknown to Aron, Julia was blushing a bit and she tried to hide it by looking away. The oblivious boy didn't notice it.

After walking for a few more minutes, the couple reached their destination. This was not the first time Aron had seen the massive structure that was called the Central library of Greenville Academy, but every time he will come across the magnificent superstructure it will evoke the same awe in his mind.

As expected he was a bit hesitant in even stepping into the building. "What happened?" Julia turned back to see Aron lost in thought. "Nothing!" He shook his head to soothing the turmoil in his heart, followed the girl.

They moved through the large corridor and Julia used her pass to get an entry for both of them. The guards at the entrance sure tried to create some problems for bringing a non-student in the property but Julia seemed to have a good impression on those guys and they let them go after asking some basic questions about Aron's background, all of which were promptly answered by the girl herself.

"Huff.." The blonde let out a long breath after clearing the checks and made her way to the inside of the building. "Keep your behavior at your best and remember all the points that I told you from earlier." Aron was overwhelmed with the size of the library premises. There were large wooden compartments that were filled with large stacks of books arranged neatly. He looked around to find only a few students sitting on the chairs in the halls. It must be because it was still early morning.

He didn't even realize when Julia had already brought him to a room, holding onto his hand. She checked with a maid to the side who told them about the room's occupancy. Taking a deep breath Julia forced the heavy door open. "Can I come in, granny?"

"Hmm? Ohh... it's you, Julia. Come in." This girl must be famous in the academy for even a senior faculty like granny knew her name. Thinking that Aron too traced Julia's steps and entered the room.

The old lady was working with some papers when they made their entrance so she put them to the side before addressing them again. "Ohh... I see you brought your friend with you. What's the matter?" Aron had seen this blue-haired lady with glasses for the first time in his life, but in a single glance, he can tell that she must be a rather amiable lady. She had a beautiful smile on her face. She wasn't particularly gold to be called a granny, according to him. He had assumed that the woman will be truly old but apart from a few wrinkles here and there on her face, the woman looked much younger than a typical 'granny'.

"Good morning granny. I got a favor to ask of you. Rather my friend here needs a favor from you but since he can't reach you on his own, I had to help him out." Nancy was checked the handsome boy behind the girl. "Hmm.. never seen this boy around. Don't tell me he is your boyfriend?"

Naturally, Julia blushed heavily before hurriedly correcting her. "No, no, granny. You got it wrong. We can be called friends." Aron took the opportunity to introduce himself since the girl had been left fuming from her head just with a single sentence from the older lady. "Good morning, ma'am. My name is Aron." He bowed his head down with regular courtesy.

"You are no student. Are you now? haha.." She laughed lightly leaving the couple confused as to how she made that judgment. The lady relished in their befuddlement, only explaining after a few seconds passed. "It's been more than 2 decades for me since I had started working at this place after my retirement. And to date, I have never seen a student of this academy bow down so deeply and with so much sincerity. That can only mean one thing. You are no student. Also, looking at your faces it's pretty clear to think I guessed it right. Now... considering you are not a student and that you are so young, that can only mean you are one of the slaves here. Hmm.. go on. Tell me what you did you find me for?"

Well, she sure was an experienced lady. Gauging so much about him just from a single gesture. "Ahem.. you got it right. Aron works as a slave at our academy but he wants to change it and apply for a student candidacy this year." Nancy nodded without interrupting, signaling the girl to continue.

"I had gotten his help with one of my projects, that's where I got to know him. In return for helping me, he wanted to get my aid in learning to cast magic spells. So, I advised him to rather focus on improving his cultivation and if he had a good aptitude, he will be selected. But even after my advice, he stuck to trying to learn magic." Nancy turned to scan the boy once again. She too was interested in knowing why would the boy do so, even after Julia's guidance. From what she had seen till now, he was quite a cordial child.

"Then, yesterday I got to know the reason when he brought this to me." She went ahead and placed the crumpled piece of paper with the strange symbols on the table. Aron knew they had no choice at this point then to reveal the existence of the ancient language to Nancy. Anyhow, from what Julia had told him it will be fine. She was one of the experts in the academy and the least likely to go after a kid, just for some knowledge of the famed language of gods.

Sure enough, they saw her eyes widen in wonderment. She had not expected their story to take such a turn. "Aron here is an orphan, he lost his parents when he was very young. This knowledge is the last thing they left him with. So now he wants to figure out about these symbols for himself, to learn if they left him with some message." Of course, Julia made the last part up.

She was good at lying, evident from the straight face she had maintained throughout her dramatic oration. Nancy had taken the paper in her hands to check the writings clearly. This was an odd development. She can tell that these were surely symbols from the god language but even she, with a fair amount of knowledge of this language, can't make sense of it.
