Chapter 109

Sai'nen's massive head that had streaks of fae light tilted to the side before a regal female voice spoke out with amuesment. "Hmm a child born of the stars and blessed by foriegn divinity. One of the sands, of the hunt, and of knowledge. Why are you here little starborn?"

Even though the fox lord's voice was filled with amuesment. I could feel the power in the fox lord radiating casually that was a clear warning to not do anything stupid.

So I answered respectfully. "I wanted to find peace for some time, to find myself and what has changed in myself within this grove, before I continued my adventure."

The nature spirit/god gave me a long searching look before she asked rather bluntly. "Do you bring the madness of the stars, some form of corruption, or... Blessing with you?"

I shook my head, though. I could do such a thing by putting down blocks of Corruption or Crimson, but still I most certainly woudn't do that.

"The only trouble I bring is the new's that a Noxian invasion force is but a hundred something miles to the south west. Of which to be clear I am not part of. I even came into conflict with them."

The fox spirit's silent gaze as I spoke drifted off before she looked into the distance and said. "Yes... You are right in that those humans and barbarians are on the shores of Ionia once again. But still, the lands of Omikayalan are not nearly so easily found even with the aid of an army."

Which was fair enough. With so much magical and spiritual power running through this eco system. I woudn't be suprised that only champion level people could find it due to their will and magical power allowing them to see past the magical effects that surrounded the forest.

Then there was a moment of silence as Sai'nen's heavy eye's strolled back over to me and thus there was a heavy silence as we just stared at one another.

Until she broke the silence to say quietly. "The spirits of the land say you are a man who has slain over a hundred thousand life forms... Yes has also created structures that will support themselves for millions of seasonal changes. I am unsure what to think of you."

My face twitched at that and I said with a wry smile. "If it helps... The life forms I killed were monsters with just as much of a mind and personality as the invaders of the void."

The fox spirit blinked it's large glowing eyes and said rather frankly. "Your words are spoken with clear truth. And the mass slaughter of monsters akin to the void invaders are only a net positive in all aspects. So yes, that does make the spirits happier."

There was another heavy silence with Sai'nen seemingly content to just stare at me and see me with eye's that saw beyond the physical world until she finally relaxed slightly with her swaying tails became less puffed up as well as she said calmly.

"You may have your respite within the land of Omikayalan. The spirits welcome you for up to a period of four hundred seasons but ask that you leave a small temple with details of yourself so that the forest may not forget your arrival."

Before I could further respond to the great nature spirit. She faded away in a flurry of fire flies that blinked in a song of fae lights as they split apart and went everywhere.

"Well that was something." I muttered blinking before I sagged into a rocking chair, then I took out a large jug of Soma made wine back from Danmachi that WAS not his divine Soma wine that would fuck people up.

And I just began sipping it as I rocked back and forward on my porch as I stared at the wonderful duality of spiritualilty and actual life that were in perfect concert in front of myself.

'The entire multiverse is open to me, the Hoyoverse worlds of Genshin, DC, Marvel, DXD, and so much more is open to me. Yet I am so content here sitting in a rocking chair as I stare out into a forest filled with too much life.' I mused to myself.

Sure my goal was to get strong so that I could roll over Danmachi more fully. But what was my ultimate goal honestly? Kill the enhanced bosses and making super accessories from my Terrarian Skill?

Why? Why did I need that power even in Danmachi honestly. As with Alfia saying that dying is cringe and dragged her sister from the afterlife. And accepted me as her son-in-law basically.

What did I need to fear in the world of Danmachi? The One-Eye'd Black Dragon? If that bastard came near me, even if it sent them back up to Tenkai, I knew that Hestia would flip her shit and blast the dragon into ashes to protect Bell.

And I felt something let go as I chuckled at a new realization. "Haha, I gain strength because it feels good to be strong. I get stronger because strength allows me to reach for new things. It's such a simple thing really."

The wine crafted by a god burned as it went down as I turned a sip into a heady gulp and then I staggered to my feet as my vision crossed as I had chugged down half of the large jug.

"A temple huh... Let me make a memory of myself here then." I whispered to myself before I giggled and whispered to myself. "No putting dicks on the walls Jake. Even if it would be funny to have an unbreakable wall no one can break that depicts a bunch of dick jokes."

I then got to work building a small open air temple and as I worked, I felt the gaze of spirits and other entities as I worked my trade. Soft whispers filled my ears that advised me to follow more along the lines of the eastern Ionian style of building.

Trailing fingers of smoke tried to guide my hands, succulent lips tried to steal the wine from my lips, and soon with the dense spiritual energy in the air, I just let go of my three cores of mind, body, and soul. As I joined the revelery.
