Chapter 94 – End of Trip (2)

Chapter 94 - End of Trip (2)

...

As our group of three walked our way towards the exiting queue, Jorah seemed to have regained her max level tension as she hopped around and exclaimed,

"Wah! I am so happy and excited right now! Hey, Big Sis? How good it would be to go some place together as a whole family, with mother and other sisters too, right?"

Celesta smiled at Jorah's jubilant self as she then began to ruminate over something as she spoke mysteriously,

"Hmm... about that... Mother has spoken about something similar sometime back. Also, she had ask us to be home by six in the evening today too. She must be planning something, I think."

Jorah's animated self stiffened immediately, as she swiftly approached Celesta's side and asked curiously,

"Really? That sound so mysterious. Mom has been so unpredictable lately. I wonder what she wants to talk about... Well, it's good that she has more time away from work now. Right, Big Sis??"

Celesta nodded in agreement as she glanced at me once before she spoke,

"Yeah... and I noticed that Mother has changed her attitude towards you very significantly as well, Carene."

Jorah's big eyes began to shine mysteriously again as she stared at me and exclaimed,

"Oh, yeah! Big Sister Carene, how did you do it? Is there some secret way to win our Mother's heart? Is there something that you know and we ourselves don't know of?"

Oh shit. Don't tell me that I dropped hints to Isla and mine's secret relationship?!

No no. Keep calm, Carene. There is no way they know about it. Just act normal and dismiss their stray arrow calmly.

"I-I... don't know anything about that. I have just been... acting normally with her."

Shit. I couldn't stay calm at all! What if they find out that I had been boning their Mother behind their backs all this while??

They would kill me for sure! At least, Celesta surely won't let me off that easily...

Celesta stared at me for a good while before she began to speak up her own thoughts,

"Hmm... that's kind of surprising. Even I don't think I have seen her being so expressive... at least ever since father passed away."

Jorah tilted her head in confusion as she gave her own remark to the conversation,

"Really? I don't know much about that. Still, ever since Big Sister Carene arrived, Mother has been really cheerful! And that is undeniable, Big Sis!"

Celesta nodded in agreement to Jorah's words as her gaze full of appreciation and warm thoughts turned at me, and she spoke,

"Yeah. That's true. It must be thanks to you in some manner, Carene."

P-Please don't thank me for it. I... already feel very guilty of doing all that behind your backs.

I-If you two find it within yourselves to forgive me even after knowing everything... then I wouldn't have anything left to ask God for.

I tried to laugh it off to dismiss the whole situation and avoid any further embarrassment. Still, the guilt within my heart didn't seem to die out at all.

"Ah... hahahaha... I-I am not so sure about it though..."

...

It didn't take us long to get out and after refusing their request for experience surveys, the three of us started to walk away from the Inner Zoo area.

That was when my eyes caught a public cash dispensing unit next to the zoo entrance. Since I knew cash is useful emergencies, I decided to withdraw some from my bank account. For what kind of emergencies? Well...

"Ah... um, Celesta, Jorah. Sorry, but... could you wait for me here for a while?"

As I quickly relayed my intentions to Celesta, Jorah turned back to look at me curiously as she asked,

"Eh? What's wrong, Big Sister Carene? Oh, is it a bathroom emergency~?"

Geh... it's nothing bathroom related. Rather, this one is parents related.

"N-No, it's not about that, but... I just need to get some cash withdrawn from my account... just for some little things. I-It won't take long, I promise!"

As I didn't want to explain them the reason behind my anxiety, I hoped that they wouldn't ask me anymore about it.

Thankfully, Celesta had probably realized my intentions as she spoke with a calm look,

"No need to be so tense, Carene. I think there is still a while before we need to be back home. So, no need to worry about it. Um, we will be waiting for you right here then."

A surge of warmth erupted within me, that I couldn't hold down no matter what.

Such blind trust Celesta has in me... I must never break it. Ever.

"Okay. Thanks!"

...

After telling Jorah and Celesta to wait for a while, I quickly took some cash out and kept it securely within my wallet. With that I also checked my current account balance. I had been a bit worried about that since my Parents have Internet access to the account, and remembering their past behaviour, I couldn't help but be worried about the amount suddenly decreasing or vanishing away without notice. Of course, it was their money from the beginning, but...

I couldn't help but feel a little more secure with myself after having the paper notes. I do have cards, but what if they suddenly became unusable?

The desire to earn some for myself also began to foster within myself as I stored the wallet and walked out, making my way towards the two cute sisters waiting for me.

"Thanks for waiting."

Celesta had been standing in the queue maintaining our spot, when she found me approaching her and replied,

"Ah, Carene. Are you done with your stuff already?"

Standing back to line up in the queue with Celesta, I merrily replied to her,

"Yeah, I am good now. Jorah, let's catch a bus back home now."

Jorah raised her arms in agreement as she happily exclaimed,

"Sure! We were just waiting for you to come back, Big Sister Carene. Hey, Big Sis? Should we get some snacks for the way back home??"

A troubled expression appeared on Celesta's face as she shook her head in refusal and spoke to Jorah,

"No, we already had enough to eat just before. Don't worry about those things and wait till we get home. I would make something special that you have been wishing to eat when we get back, alright?"

Hearing what Celesta spoke, Jorah's body trembled visibly, as she turned back to hug Celesta tightly from the front and asked hesitantly,

"Really..? T-Then, having a meat dish in the evening is okay too?? And, what about barbeque?"

Celesta smiled wryly as she glanced at me once before she sighed heavily and spoke in a tone full of resignation,

"Now look at you... with your eyes sparkling and all that... Fine, fine. I will do something about it. Happy now?"

As soon as Celesta said that, Jorah began to jump around in happiness as she quickly planted many kisses on Celesta's cheeks and spoke happily,

"Hurray~~!! Big Sister Carene, for being so good to me today, I will get you some extra servings of the best pieces of barbecued meat! Tonight, before anyone else gets the chance, I will sneak some out for you!"

Such a good child. Yup, our Jorah is definitely the best! Our super cute angel!!

"Hehe. Thanks, Jorah."

Jorah smiled merrily as she turned back to line up again while she replied,

"Hmm! You are welcome. Anything for you~~ Big Sister Carene~~!"

Amidst our conversations, Celesta, Jorah and I alighted the Bus heading towards our Home and hurriedly occupied some good seats.

...

The ride back home was mostly uneventful, other than me secretly taking some good pics of the two sisters. Although I couldn't tell them about it, I just too shy to show them my own secret pics. Also, there was another reason why I kept them to myself, and that was... these pics would become my most prized possessions, my most prized souvenirs of the day.

Having fun with the two girls felt amazingly great, but the most important thing today had been my own decision... to pursue Celesta with all my might. And this resolve... I would never let it be shaken by anything, no matter what.

While staring at Celesta's beautiful side profile, I vowed to myself to fight for what I wish for and not to relent under any circumstances anymore.
