Chapter 84: Nadia and Nichole’s Happy Ending!
Chapter 84: Nadia and Nichole's Happy Ending!
Linda and I cleaned up at the restroom, working quickly to wash her face and scrub the stray marks off my jacket.
When the two of us quietly entered class and sat down, the atmosphere instantly shifted. Tina gave me a sharp look, her eyes narrowing slightly like she suspects something happened between us. Deciding to get ahead of the rumors, I pulled out my phone under the desk and directly text her.
[ Rick Lee: I have replaced Scott as Linda's fiance for the Tang and Lang marriage. I have accepted and you are the first to know. ]
I didn't get a response from Tina right away, letting the silence linger until an hour later when my phone vibrated in my palm.
[ Tina Feng: Make sure you marry me first. Then I might tolerate her. ]
I kept my fingers moving across the digital keyboard, shooting back a quick reply.
[ Rick Lee: Thank you dear. Did you want to come for the Life Statistics wedding? ]
Her answer came through almost instantly, revealing the underlying pressure of our current situation.
[ Tina Feng: I do, but I can't. You and I both know you have two fights to do before I can be open with you and the wives. But I still had you yesterday, so I can manage. Love you my Dragon. ]
I smiled faintly at the screen, typing out a final reassurance.
[ Rick Lee: And you my Phoenix. ]
Linda had been watching me from the corner of her eye, and seeing the sender's name displayed on the glass, she leans in close and whispers.
"Did you tell Tina Feng?"
I offered a simple nod, maintaining my calm exterior. Linda blinked, a trace of uncertainty crossing her features.
"Will she not cause problems for me?"
"Although you two did not get along in school, I would not love an unreasonable woman," I murmured back, keeping my voice low enough to stay beneath the instructor's radar. "She understands and won't make things an issue. You two will be sisters after-all, so try and get along if you can."
Linda relaxed slightly, looking ahead at the whiteboard.
"I said it in the hall... I will listen to you."
Class had ended a short while later, and Linda made a conscious effort to keep her distance. She did not act like we are getting engaged because it is not official yet, so she only treated me like a friend, the way Tina does to protect our private arrangements.
At the exit of the building, the hallway crowded with students as both Tina and Linda stared at each-other. They stood face to face for a long, heavy second, completely silent like they were reading each-other's eyes. Without a single word, they both just walked off in opposite directions, leaving an unspoken conversation behind them like two rival princesses drawing their lines.
James suddenly lunged from the crowd, throwing a heavy arm around my neck and grinning wildly.
"Business was so fucking exciting, cant wait for computers," James boomed, dragging me forward into the flow of traffic. "Now lets get the main male lead in there, ha-ha!"
All the way to my computer class, the hallway was a complete gauntlet. I heard the following from many students echoing off the walls, mainly the guys shouting over the noise.
"Congrats Bro!"
"Hey, nice cucking man, ha-ha!"
"Two hot twins, I hate you man!"
"Hey Rick, you really knocked them up at the same time, DAAAAAAAMN!"
The rumors had clearly spread like wildfire through the morning network, and some girls weighed in on it too as I brushed past them.
"Why, those girls are bitches..."
"Rick Tang, here is my number," another girl murmured, flashing a suggestive look as she slid a piece of paper near my binder. "If you are looking for another lover, I can make you happy, fufu."
"Congratulations, if they are your kids," a passing classmate offered with a shrug.
Not everyone was thrilled by the news, as a sharp voice cut through from the row of desks near the wall.
"You are a shameless homewrecker, I hope those are not your kids, jerk."
"Don't marry those twins, they are mean to me," another classmate whispered, leaning out of a doorway. "You can do better, trust me."
James just had a smile of understanding most of the greetings as he walked beside me, but I didn't take any of them to heart. Opinions are important to everyone, and I won't be pissed at them for giving it. My priorities were purely analytical; I can only be offended if my family is hurt by it.
When I entered the computer classroom with James at my side, my two brides looked at me simultaneously from their usual spot. They knew their little internet prank had made my morning interesting, turning the entire Star University hierarchy upside down. I caught the sly smile on Nadia's face, immediately deducing that she must be the one that made Nichole post the news online.
James stepped up to their desk, rubbing the back of his neck as he probes.
"Congratulations sisters. So can we all be friends now?"
Nichole didn't even look up from her monitor, pointing a sharp, manicured finger to his seat next to her.
"Nadia and I have been friendly with you all month, so are you saying we haven't been?" Nichole said, her tone dripping with smooth authority. "Now please let us have our Rick time."
James put on a defeated smile, completely collapsing under her gaze, and sat like she said while he mumbled.
"Yes mam, I am sitting now, ha-ha!"
Now I know some people looking at this would be like, stand up for your friend bro! But honestly they really have not bullied him like in high-school, and this is the only class Jim has not been in trouble for harassing girls or neglecting work. My Acting skill kept my face perfectly neutral as I watched him open his textbook; he actually has been doing well when he is disciplined. So I let it slide.
The moment I took my seat between them, both girls leaned in and each kissed a cheek simultaneously, moving with a fluid synchronization like they planned it out beforehand. They pulled back smoothly, leaving only Jim and the rest of the class aware of the two bright lip-prints from lipstick left on my face.
You win a gold-star if you thought this was Nadia's idea. My hardwired knowledge kept me completely unbothered, though I knew I will find out for sure in about ten minutes when my new teacher points it out to the whole room.
I leaned closer to the twins, keeping my voice restricted to our small desk area as the rest of the students filed in.
"And then that's what happened with me and Linda, then Scott's response to me," I murmured, passing them the brief summary of the morning's physical threat. "So be careful with your safety in public."
Nichole nodded in seriousness, her analytical mind instantly factoring the new information into her long-term planning. She is the one who always looks at the long-game and prepares, while Nadia remains entirely focused on the here and now.
Nadia leaned across my shoulder, glancing over at her twin.
"Sister, you really could read what Linda would do," Nadia said, her voice dropping into a playful register. "But I still know Ricky the best, fufu."
Nichole smiled faintly, her blue eyes scanning the classroom layout.
"Linda is an open book to me," Nichole told me and her sister. "We spent all of senior year in high-school with her and she is easy to predict. Now then-"
Her words and the loud chatter of the entire class had stopped when the door swung open, and the new computer teacher made her way into the room, struggling with a massive pile of supplies. She was actively dropping things from her overflowing arms, causing a series of loud thuds against the linoleum.
She kept picking up books she kept dropping, scrambling across the floor until she finally made it to the front main desk. Straightening her clothes, she then brightly smiled at the rows of seniors.
I looked up, and I was so shocked at who my new teacher was I completely lost my calm posture and blurted her name out.
"Kim?! Why are you here?"
Yes it was none other than Kim Smith, the foreign woman from the United Kingdom of America.
She was a good friend to my wife Hana, and she is also friends with James's Akeno. She is 27 years old with blond-hair and green-eyes, standing on the shorter side at 5 foot 6 inches with a bubbly personality that practically screams 'friendly'. Seeing me sitting between the twins, she excitedly waves and in her heavy English-accent says to me.
"Hello Rick, I am so happy to be your teacher, Mr Speed-racer, ha-ha!"
She turned to face the rest of the rows, clearing her throat to address the room.
"Hello Class, I am your new teacher, Kim Smith from the UK of America, and yes I am a citizen of Eurasia," she announced brightly. "I am not available for dating so you naughty boys can just lock up your fantasies of a sexy foreign woman right now. And Rick remove the lipstick from your face. It is distracting."
James looks confused because he knows this woman is single from the neighborhood news, but he kept his mouth shut and does not say anything.
So if you are confused about Kim's presence here, she has a deep historical background connected to me, without including Hana. The reason she came to Eurasia back when she turned 20 was she was engaged to none-other than Alex Renaldo.
After she completed nursing-school in the UK she moved to Star City to be with her fiance, planning out a traditional life. Everything was good till she refused to lose her virginity to Alex till she married him, sticking firmly to her principles. Yes his 1st wife spot is empty because it was supposed to belong to poor Kim.
Alex was mad he could not have sex with his own fiancee, and ended up neglecting her entirely as he pursued other women to sate his desires. Kim however ended their engagement when she found out that five years ago, he was actively vying for a 14 year old noble girl's hand. Ouch.
So at the age of 23 she had grown to love living in Eurasia and had been going to University to pursue her true passion, computers. Just this last school-year she completed her degree through sheer dedication, and apparently she stopped being a nurse to work for her University at this time before transferring down to our academy.
My father-in-law, the Dean, knows of Kim through Hana and the fact she is a fresh graduate, and most likely offered her the position due to knowing she is reliable and highly competent with local network architectures.
Well, she is the absolute opposite of Mrs Shen and is a bubbly happy person to have at the front podium.
Oh she had another interesting run with the local elite in the past.
Chris Honda also tried to date and sleep with poor Kim, deploying his standard high-level charm. But she was not willing to give up her virginity to even the super charmer, especially after how he and Hana ended in disaster. Her decision in both cases to not give up her purity made it so she successfully avoided two monsters of lust. In my book, she is smart to wait for love and commitment instead of falling for a honey-trap.
The end of class came quickly as we ran through the lab parameters, and she finished the period with a loud announcement.
"Thank you all for making my second class fun and welcoming," Kim said, packing her markers into a drawer. "Also remember if you have real questions, My door is open. Have a good lunch."
As my group of four was packing up our notebooks and briefcases, Kim waved me over from the podium, so I told the twins to wait for me out in the hallway. I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked down to the main desk.
"Hello Rick," Kim said, leaning against the edge of the hardwood table. "Hana and the Dean did not tell me you would be one of my students."
"Well they never mentioned you being a computer teacher as well, so we are even," I replied, offering a relaxed smile.
Kim pointed to her screen on her computer showing my terminal performance and completed registries.
"Rick, I mainly called you over to ask you," Kim said, her green eyes locking onto mine with absolute seriousness. "Are you also a genius in computers? This record of work even with your tardiness and absences, it's too perfect?"
"Well this class is a prerequisite for others so..."
I kept my gaze fixed on Kim as she leaned over the desk, her brow furrowing slightly as she seriously shows me something in a book and asks me to solve a coding flaw. It is a long, complex string of a custom program she is working on due to it being in her handwriting, but her foundational work is really good. My Master level Computer Use skill processed the syntax errors on a dime. I leaned forward, pointing a calm finger to one specific part of the bracketed lines.
"Your error is right here," I murmured, keeping my tone relaxed. "This 1 should be a 0 and it will make this script work fine. Everything else is perfect."
Kim’s eyes widened behind her green-framed glasses, her expression shifting from intense frustration to absolute, radiant relief.
"For King and Country!" Kim gasps, letting out a bright, melodic laugh that echoed in the quiet classroom. "Wow I struggled finding the one I messed up, thanks for that Rick, no really I was going crazy."
"No problem Teacher Smith, I will see you tomorrow," I replied, flashing a confident grin as I slung my briefcase over my shoulder.
"Bye-bye Mr Lee," she waved cheerfully.
I turned on my heel and smoothly exited the room, joining Nadia and Nichole out by the locker bay. After Nadia cleared me of impure-thoughts with a bit of her typical playful banter, my twins and I went to lunch and the rest of the afternoon passed peacefully through our standard rotations.
Fresh from the Kung-Fu clubs showers, I stood in front of the full-length mirror and adjusted my cuffs. I had changed into my nice black-suit with my gold- accessories and tie. Seems I have a fondness for the color gold and my wives noticed this as well over the past few weeks, though I preferred to view it as a practical choice for projecting an untroubled, upper-class presence.
Tina had walked me down to the curb where the limo pick up was waiting, her sharp eyes scanning the parameter for any signs of hidden corporate trackers. Mei was holding the door open for me, her posture perfectly rigid. Inside the vehicle's spacious interior, we could clearly see Mary, Hana, Helen, Linda, and the twins already settled into the plush leather.
Hana, seeing Tina look like she was being abandoned out on the pavement, just got out of the limo in her red-hot dinner-dress, took Tina's hand, and pulled her toward the step.
"Just call home and tell them you're going to a friend's wedding and dinner, and will be back later, even Linda is coming along," Hana said with a welcoming smile.
Tina put on a real smile at the wives pulling her along and felt warm in her heart, her usual defensive posture melting away on the spot. She stepped into the cabin, smoothing down her skirt.
"Then I am only going to keep an eye on Linda Lang then, humph, can't let my rival make a mess of my Bodyguard's wedding, right?" Tina said, casting a sharp look across the seat.
So after a quick call to her family estate, Tina climbed in the sexy-limo and slid onto the leather cushion.
The twins and I sat in the back while the rest of the women sat on the L-couch as we drove to the Life Statistics office to finalize our paperwork.
Helen sitting with Linda behind the drivers seat held her hand, her expression turning professional as she delivered the latest news from our intelligence network.
"I spoke with my father earlier, and the two Heads came to terms, and it for now is unofficial, but the two of you will marry in June," Helen announced smoothly, glancing between Linda and myself. "The Engagement Party will be at the start of October in a week and a half, the Saturday following this one."
Mary smiled brightly at the timeline, leaning across the console to address the front seat.
"See, I told you you were Rick's first crush, well even before me, ha-ha," Mary teased, her investigator instincts shifting into pure amusement. "But just remember, I had his first kiss, oh and second."
Nichole smiled like a demon, a calculated glint flashing in her blue eyes as she ended everyone's boasting on a dime.
"Rick and I gave each-other our first times, Ufufu," Nichole purred.
The two people in the car with the reddest-faces are me and my cousin Helen for finding out too much information! No I'm not embarrassed for the facts of what happened on the thirteenth floor, but only that Helen had to hear it in such a tight space.
Soon we all arrived at our destination and went into the main building for our appointments, filing past the security guards into the registration terminal.
Yes I had to marry them separately one behind the other due to that being the strict legal procedure. I and the clerical staff were completely speechless at the two women in white doing rock, paper, scissors right in front of the podium to see who went first... Nichole won.
Nichole stepped forward, her eyes locking onto mine as our vows went as follows.
"Thanks for forgiving me, and for ruining my first marriage, Mr Blackmailer," Nichole said, her voice dropping into a low, melodic register. "I will be your lawyer for life."
"Thanks for tricking me into loving you, Mrs Blackmailer," I replied smoothly, my Acting skill projecting perfect calm. "I will be the father and husband you dreamed of."
And with our formal kiss and the flash of the camera, it was final.
Then it was my unpredictable Nadia's turn to step up to the alter, and we said our piece.
"I love you! Rick, now hurry and say yes and kiss me already!" Nadia giggled, completely ignoring the traditional script.
"Yes?!" I stammered, entirely caught off guard.
Mwah!
And Nadia was the wife that took a photo of me deep-kissing and squeezing my neck with terrifying physical enthusiasm. The photographer could only laugh at her aggressiveness behind the lens. And Nichole had to step in and peel her off of me again, while the rest of the women laughed at me from the viewing benches.
So when our group of 8 walked out of the Life Statistics Building and back onto the public street, I looked around the concrete avenue and asked the question.
"So, where is the wedding dinner?"
Mary with a grin points to the 40 story building across the street, The Velvet Tower, her finger tracing the luxury framework."We have reservations in the Velvet Lounge for us," Mary said.
Hana, seeing me look dumbly at the second floor where the frosted glass panels were glowing, stepped up to my side.
"That's right honey, when your teacher heard you would be here getting married, she offered to treat us all to a celebration today, so let's go," Hana explained with a warm chuckle. "I have always wanted to eat there, Ufufu."
The Velvet Lounge on the second floor has two frosted-glass doors with the name etched cleanly on the glass.
The two bouncers seeing our group approach immediately stood at attention and both opened the door, and one was smiling while saying to me.
"Good to see you again Mr Tang and the Lee's, please the boss is inside awaiting you," he said, gesturing toward the interior.
The same over eager hostess also recognized me from my previous corporate visits and led us into the massive restaurant, club, and bar area.
All five U-shaped booths lining the main floor had signs on them saying... [Reserved]
The rest of the club still had business and was not closed for a private party, but no booths are available for normal customers tonight. Two familiar women sat in the center booth, always saved for only Victoria's private use. Both women seeing our group enter got up to greet our party.
The first woman was the Computer Manager of Victoria Long Inc, Lucy Shen, wearing a black-dress with her crimson-tinted black-hair tied up in a sloppy-bun. Her glasses are red-framed and she had a happy smile seeing all of us walk in.
The second woman was predictably my business teacher Victoria Long. She is wearing a purple-velvet-dress that matches her eyes and dark-purple-hair perfectly. She is sporting purple-framed glasses and her hair is loose around her shoulders. She warmly smiled at our group.
"Welcome all of you and thank you for letting me host you tonight," Victoria said, gesturing to the spread. "My employee and Rick know each other, so I hope you guys don't mind her being here."
Shen waves and says hello to everyone, her demeanor perfectly relaxed. Then Victoria pointed to the five booths and said.
"We don't have to use them all, but I have learned with Rick around, don't leave seats open for men that hate him."
So our group of ten sat in two booths and ordered from the menu.
Naturally no one contested the seats next to me for anyone other than the twins, who flanked me on either side.
A singer had come for the night's entertainment, her voice filling the lounge, and the twins made me drink a bit so I would relax and not be in constant combat mode.
But the jokes on my new wives because one martial arts style actually uses the drunken-state to generate explosive kinetic power... Drunken Style Kung-Fu! My Grandmaster knowledge was hardwired right into my muscle memory, meaning even if I was tipsy, the Drunken Step foundation was already active under the table. I could easily use the weight of my body moving around in small, fluid steps to shift my central line, dodge a punch, or generate raw power through a sudden curve attack. They thought they were making me vulnerable, but they were just unlocking a whole new set of lethal forms.
At the end of the meal, the dishes were cleared, and Mary looked to Lucy Shen and asked a quiet question.
"Have we met before? Honestly, you seem familiar to me?" Mary murmured, her brow furrowing slightly.
Lucy, a professional actress, just smiled smoothly and asked Mary.
"Well if you grew up in the Black State, then we have met before," Lucy replied, her voice remaining perfectly steady. "I only moved to Star City a couple of months ago, so did you meet me there?"
Mary shook her head and smiled, dismissing her investigator instincts for the moment.
"No, I have lived here all my life, me and my brother or rather husband, fufu," Mary said.
Lucy smiled warmly at Mary and asked another question, her gaze dropping slightly.
"So you're about three months pregnant already?" Lucy murmured, a soft look entering her eyes. "Man, I love babies. When yours is born I would love to see it, Ufufu."
Mary just smiled and asked.
"Do you have any kids?"
Lucy smiled and shook her head, her analytical mask briefly slipping.
"No, sadly I was at the wrong place at the wrong time when I was younger and a stray bullet ripped through my abdomen ruining my ability to have children, so I just have to play with others," Lucy explained softly.
Mary feeling she tripped an emotional-landmine just looked apologetic, her eyes widening in regret.
Lucy said to the depressed Mary.
"I was over it many years ago, so don't worry. Just be glad you have this wonderful gift."
Hana to the side, had heard many tragic stories like Lucy during her time navigating the noble families, and she too is glad to be pregnant before it was too late. She said.
"Well our Rick worked really hard to give us children, so if you're around when the happy time comes you will have to see them. It was nice to spend time with you Mrs Shen."
May Lee is really hating that she can't just come out and love on all of these amazing women her nephew found. Even the twins from file 13 are adorable in their own way when they aren't plotting a corporate cucking. She then looked at Victoria smiling at the lively other table, keeping her thoughts entirely private.
"Life is short ladies, so love your Rick as much as you can, especially before life keeps him busy in the future. Congratulations."
Our wonderful night at the Velvet Lounge came to an end and Victoria and Lucy walked us down to our limo to see us off. All nine women got closer this evening and gave hugs to everyone, even Helen and Victoria, two opposing houses are now getting friendly.
I was the last to climb into the limo and Lucy gave me a hug and said.
"You have been drinking so before your new wives kill you tonight, drink lots of water, Ufufu."
Then Victoria surprised me by giving me a light hug goodbye, and I felt like a static-shock hit me. Perhaps it was the velvet material from her dress? She said in her husky voice.
"Thanks for all of you keeping me company tonight, and will I still see you on Friday now?"
I smile and say to her.
"That's our agreement, so I will be there to help you like before, see you later and thanks for dinner."
I climbed in the limo to drop off Tina and Helen...
As our limo left, Victoria rubbed her exposed arms like she had goosebumps. Then Lucy asked.
"What is wrong?"
"When I hugged him... My heart skipped a beat?"
"Sorry boss but that's a bad sign."
"A bad sign for what?"
"He made your heart skip, are you telling me you can not feel it? Boss, I think you got feelings. It sucks but sometimes you just meet someone that makes you want to be with them even if it's wrong, sigh."
The two women just went back up to the 39th floor to work...
It was a bit later when we got home, and the twins saw our soon-to-be new home; their excitement was unmistakable. They have high aspirations for their lifestyle, but I love them dearly.
After spending the evening together, we finally headed to bed. It was an exhausting but happy night, and I can officially say that I was content to be outnumbered by their energy.
I did my best to keep up, but the intensity of the evening's events and the transition into our new life together was overwhelming in the best way possible. By the time the room fell silent in the early dawn hours, I was completely worn out.
When I woke up the next morning, I felt entirely drained but incredibly happy with how everything had turned out.
