Chapter 30: Imperial Dragon, The Immortal Yellow Emperor!
Chapter 30: Imperial Dragon, The Immortal Yellow Emperor!
As I woke up tangled in the sheets with my two beautiful lovers, I had absolutely no idea my actions from the previous night would send a massive signal flare straight to the rest of the world.
I had always been completely blind to the bigger picture. I never stopped to question why the System even existed in the first place, simply accepting that it had stranded me in this strange world. Who could have guessed the entire setup was just a giant cosmic joke meant to screw with mortals?
Yeah, if you ever find out you are some reincarnated guy, a transmigrator, or some random transferred chump, do yourself a favor and don't just shrug your shoulders and roll with it. The universe did not get bored enough to move you across dimensions just for basic entertainment. You are special to the world in some very specific way. I was that exact same idiot. But I would not find out my true reason for living for many years to come.
Elsewhere in the central government capital where the four states meet...
A stern man in a crisp military uniform sat in a highly decorated office behind his heavy mahogany desk, looking over confidential intelligence reports regarding active threats to Eurasia. Even though he was well into his fifties, he looked no older than forty. He was heavily built, carrying a dense, muscular frame that age could not touch. He exuded an effortless aura of absolute power that commanded the room. Even younger women would find his striking, powerful demeanor attractive.
The nameplate resting on the edge of his desk read exactly: [ SDF Commander Lee ]
A sharp, demanding knock echoed through the room. A woman in her early thirties stepped past the threshold, closing the door behind her. Her military uniform featured a name tag identifying her as a member of the Lee family. She shared the unmistakable traits of the true bloodline—striking jet-black hair and piercing blue eyes.
"What has you in such a rush that you lose your manners and barge in without my say-so?" the General asked, looking up from his documents. "Normally you are patient, May Lee."
"Father, look at this footage," May said, stepping up to the desk and sliding a heavy laptop directly in front of him. "We had to pull from multiple security angles to get the full view of what happened. The recording equipment on that helicopter was fully functional right up until its destruction. After I compiled all the files, I personally wiped every single piece of footage inside Star City that was even remotely close to the site."
A video began to play on the high-definition screen, showing a complete, brutal breakdown of the elevator drop and the rooftop shootout at the Hilton International.
General Lee watched the playback in total silence before closing his eyes to process the high information density. "Am I to understand he broke into the hotel network and controlled the entire area remotely to battle his foes? How does his technical skill stack up against yours?"
May blushed slightly, her cheeks turning a light pink as she looked like a top-tier student who had just brought home a bad grade. "He is equal to me at worst. But when I tried to breach his personal devices, my own systems crashed. He is definitely one of the top programmers in Eurasia."
"Did you have the marksmen look over his skill with firearms?"
"Yes, General. He is easily at our Elite Special Forces level in shooting. Look at this file retrieved from the FF Firearms shooting range."
After a few quick taps on the keyboard, the General stared at the target data in surprise. "Pull up his unarmed combat next."
The video changed to show the raw, physical exchange with Tony. The sight made General Lee sit up straight in his leather chair, his eyes widening.
"He is rusty, but that is indeed the Ancient Yellow Emperor's full form of fighting," the General breathed, studying the physical flow of the movements. "His physical body just can't handle the full strain of the style right now. I know my own son did not know this form yet before he left our house."
"Then who taught it to my nephew?" May asked, leaning in.
General Lee closed the laptop frame. "Naturally, he taught himself. Who could possibly teach the Yellow Emperor?"
May looked thoroughly pleased with his response, a happy smile breaking across her face. "Then can I go see my nephew and bring him back home?"
The older man shook his head firmly, his expression turning stoic. "He is no longer a part of our clan. Besides, the four noble families already know he exists, so it is best to let them do what they are there to do."
May's smile vanished, her face tightening with dissatisfaction as she scolded her father directly. "Is your pride so fragile that you are still offended by the words of a ten-year-old child? No wonder my brother left this place for that tiger woman."
"Enough, May," the General snapped, his voice dropping an octave. "He is gone, and no amount of words will repair the damage. Let the kid grow on his own terms. We have been stagnant in this capital for so long that we have forgotten our roots. He is spreading his wings, so leave him be."
"I still want to see him again!"
"Then do not go as his aunt," the General sighed, rubbing his temples as the weight of the family drama caught up to him. "Make up some other identity if you want to meet him. Do not interfere in his regular life. Just keep tabs on him and cover his tracks so the China Empire does not get wind of his existence."
"Then I will create a false identity and transfer to the local government in Star City to work remotely from there," May decided, her mood instantly shifting back to bright and determined. "He is joining Star University for business soon. He scored perfect marks on the entrance exams, which is no surprise."
"How could regular school work possibly challenge the Yellow Emperor?"
"Well," May chuckled nervously, scratching her cheek. "My nephew has also been busy with some other complicated things."
"What do you mean?"
"Look at this next file."
General Lee opened the laptop once more. As the playback started, the expression on his face turned completely priceless. A look of sheer shame settled over his features, and he looked down at the desk. "Are those not the new Tang twins? No... never mind. I do not even want to know. What kind of nonsense is going through that brat's head?"
"I honestly don't know if the Tang family is lucky or unlucky to have my nephew in their midst," May giggled, enjoying her father's rare loss of composure.
"I just remembered something else," the General said, shifting back to a serious, commanding tone. "The Long girl is going to be teaching business courses at that university. Do not let her hurt the kid over the past. He might be an emotional runt, but he should not pay for his father's mistakes. Give that woman a warning."
May stood up straight, a protective fire burning in her blue eyes as she assumed a firm posture. "My brother is already dead, so they better know their place. I will make sure she understands that her older sister's situation has absolutely nothing to do with my nephew."
The General handed the laptop back, completely ignoring her as he turned his attention back to his paperwork. May left the office in a much better mood than when she had arrived.
The Yellow Dragon had finally returned to the world, choosing the one single family member who was no longer a part of the clan. The universe truly had a twisted sense of irony.
When my eyes drifted open, the soft morning light was filtering through the high windows of Hana’s bedroom, casting a warm glow over the massive king-sized mattress. I was completely pinned down, comfortably trapped in heaven.
Mary was curled tightly against my left side, her breathing rhythmic and slow, while Hana anchored my right, her blonde hair spilled across my bare chest. Before I could even shift my weight, I caught the low murmur of their voices filtering over my head. They were already awake, whispering quietly so they wouldn't disturb me.
Feeling the muscle in my chest tighten as I stirred, Mary paused her conversation and looked down at me. A lazy, beautiful smile spread across her face, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Bro—damn, that is so hard to stop saying," she let out a soft, melodic chuckle, shifting her weight to press closer against my side. "Fufu, how are you feeling, husband?"
I looked at the two women who shared my life, a deep sense of satisfaction settling into my bones. I reached out, wrapping my arms around their waists to pull them both into a tight, lingering embrace, planting a warm kiss on Mary’s lips before turning to do the exact same to Hana. "Honestly, that was the best sleep I've had in years," I said, my voice still slightly rough from sleep.
"Great!" Mary grinned, her playful, demanding side instantly breaking through the morning softness. She gave my chest a light tap. "Now get your butt out of bed and go make us some scrambled eggs and toast, ha-ha."
Hana sat up from the pillows, the silk sheet slipping down slightly as she stretched her arms overhead. She looked over at Mary with a knowing, professional look. "Nope, we have to handle our workout first, then eat, then take our showers. Don't worry, Mary, I already drew up a specific routine tailored for women who are trying to get pregnant. We want to keep your core strong. You don't want to lose your incredible figure after having a child, right?"
Mary slid her legs out from under the heavy comforter, standing up on the hardwood floor with a completely motivated expression. The mere mention of keeping her edge was all it took. "You're completely right! Getting that second kid will be a massive pain if he doesn't find my body attractive anymore. Let's do it, let's workout."
I leaned back against the headboard, watching the two of them dominate the room's energy. I couldn't help but chuckle, throwing my hands up in mock defense. "Ladies, you're crazy. I am still going to love you even if your bodies aren't absolutely perfect."
Mary whipped around, giving me a sharp, playful glare. "Stuff it, Rick!"
Hana burst out laughing, grabbing a hair tie from the nightstand to pull her blonde locks into a quick ponytail. "This is a matter of a woman's pride, dear. It has absolutely nothing to do with your opinion."
And that was exactly how my incredible morning kicked off. Once the workout and breakfast wrapped up, a quiet, peaceful routine took over our lives for the next seven days.
During that week, Mary became noticeably extra emotional and clingy. She would seek out my touch out of nowhere, holding onto my arm tightly whenever we were resting on the couch. My medical instincts told me the hormonal environment in her body was already shifting, beginning the early groundwork of pregnancy. We wouldn't know the definitive truth for about another week, right around the window where she would miss her next period or start dealing with the classic waves of morning sickness. Thanks to the deep medical knowledge the system had permanently stamped into my mind, I could effortlessly monitor every subtle change in her health, keeping her stress levels completely managed.
Hana took full advantage of our evenings together. She spent hours in the spacious living area teaching me the foundational steps of classical ballroom dancing. Thanks to my hardwired coordination and physical muscle memory, the complex footwork, spins, and pacing felt completely natural, almost like learning a new combat form. We even spent an afternoon at a high-end boutique, picking out perfectly matched, tailored formal outfits that screamed we were a committed couple for the upcoming Hospital Ball. Since she was navigating what would likely be her final period for a very long time, our physical intimacy took a breather. She playfully stuck to siphoning my gas tank to keep my edge off, and we spent the majority of our nights tangled up together in deep, comfortable cuddling sessions.
Work didn't completely stop, either. Tina Feng contacted me to handle two quick, one-day driving jobs around Star City. To my immense relief, the assignments were entirely harmless and free of rogue syndicates, airborne assassinations, or life-threatening gunfights. It would be highly annoying if my clothes got ripped and my body got wrecked every single time I clocked in to assist her. Watching her scroll through her phone in the passenger seat, I genuinely started to suspect she was just overpaying me an absurd amount of money just to chauffeur her around in her custom armored Hummer.
I also made sure to carve out some time for my brother. Jim and I met up at the central plaza mall, spending a whole afternoon hanging out and indulging in pure, unadulterated guy nonsense. We walked the commercial strips, grabbed greasy food at the food court, and spent hours scoping out the attractive girls walking past, casually rating them on a strict scale from one to ten. I know it sounds incredibly stupid and immature, but that is exactly what real guy friends do when the pressure is off. We leave the heavy world behind and just enjoy the moment. Over burgers, Jim leaned in with a massive grin, telling me that things between him and Akeno were moving incredibly fast, getting seriously hot and heavy. He proudly let me know that he would be attending the Hospital Ball right alongside her as her official date.
By the end of that wonderful week, the mail finally arrived, bringing a massive milestone. I opened the heavy envelope to find my formal acceptance letter—a full, unrestricted scholarship to the prestigious business course at Star University! Jim called me a fraction of a second later, shouting into the receiver. He had successfully made the cut right next to me, securing a partial scholarship that covered a solid eighty percent of his tuition fees. It was a massive win for both of us.
Then, my phone buzzed again, bringing a completely different kind of update. Tina called me directly, her voice dripping with smug satisfaction as she informed me that both she and Jenifer would be enrolled in the exact same business course this term. Yay. Terrific. Big fat sigh.
Before I could even process that headache, my screen lit up with messages from Nadia and Nichole. The twins dropped a massive bombshell, letting me know that Scott Tang had officially pulled some strings to get into my specific business class as well, all so he could hover right around Linda Lang's side. Damn it all. That meant the universe was forcing me to spend my college years staring at the exact same high school idiots all over again.
Since our major acceptance letters were locked in, we had to officially log into the university portal to select our elective classes on top of the mandatory business modules required for the degree.
Tina completely weaponized my phone lines. She called and texted me non-stop for three straight days, relentlessly bugging and nagging me about joining the university's Kung-Fu club. She wouldn't take no for an answer, tracking my response times until I finally threw my hands up and agreed to sign the paperwork. So, it looked like I was officially joining the university martial arts team.
On the other side, Nadia and Nichole double-teamed me with their own demands. They cornered my chat apps, insisting that I sign up for the exact same advanced computer course they were taking. Their logic was that my expert skills would allow me to tutor them through the tougher coding projects, and as an added bonus, Scott Tang didn't have the technical brains to test into that specific classroom. I was fully prepared to skip the extra workload entirely, right up until Nadia sent me a string of heartbreaking puppy-eyes emojis followed by a direct text.
[ Pweez Ricky! ]
I stared at the screen, letting out a long sigh. I knew deep down that letting the twins drag me into their regular schedule was a recipe for chaos, but she really was too adorable to turn down. I clicked the register button.
The only person I successfully shut down was Jim. He spent half the week trying to recruit me onto the university swim team, explicitly arguing that we could spend our afternoons checking out hot girls in skimpy swimsuits. I shut that down instantly. For goodness' sake, I already had two drop-dead gorgeous women at home actively working on wanting to carry my kids. My plate was completely full.
According to the academic calendar, Star University was scheduled to kick off its first semester during the second week of August. That placed the start date exactly two months after our high school graduation wrapped up. With just around five weeks left of summer vacation, I needed to lock in, train my physical conditioning daily, and maximize every single moment of quality time with my lovers.
In the absolute blink of an eye, the summer calendar flipped, and the day of the highly anticipated Hospital Ball arrived. The administration always scheduled the massive event for the first of July, operating it as an exclusive, high-end annual fundraising gala. The massive event hall was designed to draw in a dense crowd of the city's most powerful, high-influence nobles, all of whom were eager to flaunt their wealth and secure massive corporate tax cuts—I mean, generously donate to the medical facility's public image.
I had stayed over at Hana's place on Friday night so the two of us could handle our morning prep together and hit the road early to beat the massive traffic lines. Fortunately, her high-ranking status at the clinic meant she possessed a permanent, VIP assigned parking space right next to the venue's private entrance, saving us from having to navigate the chaotic public parking lots down the street.
As I was packing my gear, she caught my hand, her expression turning serious as she delivered a critical boundary. She told me that I absolutely could not bring my firearms inside the gala. Security teams were setting up high-density weapon scanners at every single entrance hall, and weapons were strictly banned from the property, a rule that applied heavily even to licensed private bodyguards. At least the playing field was completely even.
As the morning sun broke through the curtains, I held Hana closely in my arms. She stirred against my chest, a beautiful, radiant smile spreading across her lips as her blue eyes opened to look up at me. "Not only will tonight be an incredible date for us, Rick, but this event marks the official beginning of my chances for our future family, so work hard. Though it's going to be a bit sad to put away my favorite miniskirts for a while, I know I'll get my body back right after the baby arrives."
I looked down at her, smiling gently as I smoothed a stray strand of blonde hair behind her ear. "I don't mind the change at all, Hana. But I know your vanity is going to suffer a bit, ha-ha!"
She shifted her weight, her expression softening into a vulnerable, deeply personal look as her fingers traced the line of my jaw. "I just want you to know, Rick... I am only planning to have one child, whether it turns out to be a boy or a girl. Immediately after that, I am going to have the surgeons tie my tubes. Is that completely fine with you?"
I leaned down and kissed her deeply, pouring all my affection into the touch. I knew her medical background and her natural vanity made her genuinely anxious about the physical toll of multiple pregnancies, but it didn't bother me in the slightest. Mary was already fully committed to bringing two children into our household, so having three kids running around the house total was a perfect number.
"I am completely happy with whatever makes you feel satisfied, my dear," I murmured against her lips, my voice steady and reassuring. "I grew up as an only child under my father, and since Mary is going to have kids as well, our home will have plenty of playmates running around. Don't stress about it."
Hana let out a long, visible sigh of relief, her posture completely relaxing against the mattress. "Thanks, Rick. I know some men are intensely obsessed with building massive families and demanding a ton of children."
"Ha-ha, no way in hell," I laughed softly, tightening my grip around her smooth, bare waist. "I am going to be stressed out out of my mind just managing three of them. I would probably age twenty years overnight if we had any more than that. I am just glad you and Mary know exactly what you want out of life, and I will always support whatever choice the two of you make. Well, except for ever trying to divorce me. That is a total dealbreaker!"
Hana let out a beautiful, ringing laugh, tapping my nose playfully before throwing the covers off her legs. We finally got out of bed, leaving the warmth of the mattress behind as we officially began our day, prepping our outfits to face the high noble society at the Hospital Ball.
