Chapter 20: The New Rick Lee!
Chapter 20: The New Rick Lee!
"Miss Feng, is this man currently threatening your life? If so, I will add a hole to his forehead. Just say 'yes' and I will pull the trigger."
Gulp!
The area had gotten so entirely quiet that the nervous swallowing of Chris Honda was heard clearly by everyone standing around the cars.
Tina Feng, who was certainly no stranger to seeing people get removed from the board, walked casually up to my right side. She looked at the white-haired plastic surgeon with a sharp smile, throwing a dangerous question right at his face.
"Dr. Honda, I am Tina Feng. It's nice to meet you," she purred, her golden Phoenix eyes locking onto him. "I believe you didn't actually mean to attack my personal bodyguard, right? Because attacking my bodyguard is definitely a direct threat to my own life, and the Feng family absolutely won't tolerate an insult like that."
Chris looked exactly like a guy who had just been forced to eat absolute shit. His proud composure fractured completely, and his smile looked more like he was about to burst into tears as he quickly began to backpedal.
"No, no, absolutely not!" he stammered, raising his hands in a frantic wave. "I just wanted to come over and quickly greet this young man, and I guess I just ran forward too quickly by accident, ha-ha!"
I turned my focus back to Hana, keeping a smooth smile on my face while my left hand remained wrapped firmly around her slender waist.
"Dear, reach into my front left pocket and show this good doctor my identification card as Miss Feng's employee," I said calmly.
Hana, looking thoroughly glad to see that I wasn't going to open up a fresh surgeon's vacancy at the hospital tonight, reached into my suit trousers and pulled out my wallet. With a smug grin, she flipped it open for Chris to clearly see the official government documents. Tina took that exact moment to address the entire crowd, though I am completely sure her words were directed straight at Scott Tang's ears.
"Rick, this time we will just call it a simple misunderstanding, so stand down," Tina announced loudly. "But if anyone ever attempts to actively attack my bodyguard or myself in the future, just kill them right where they stand. The Feng family will deal with the legal fallout."
Click. Swoosh!
With a fluid motion that blurred in the dim lighting, I clicked the manual safety back on and returned the HK P30 straight into its shoulder holster beneath my white jacket. I looked right at Chris, keeping my left arm anchored around Hana's waist.
"Sure thing, Miss Feng," I said, my voice completely casual as I held his gaze. "I guess I was just a bit twitchy. I honestly thought this guy was looking at my woman with the wrong intentions."
Hana's body felt instantly warm against my side, completely touched by the gesture. Tina offered a dry smile; she had no idea about my hidden plans, but it seemed our synchronized teamwork made her think the two of us were getting closer as business partners. My best friend James-Jim was actively rubbing his eyes in utter disbelief at the scene. And Scott? Scott couldn't understand what the actual fuck was going on with this new Rick Lee! This was completely opposite to the submissive pussy he was used to beating up regularly, right?
Tina leaned back against the hood of the car right next to me and Hana, looking over at my face.
"Rick, I have never seen you show up to the mountain pass before," she noted curiously. "What gives?"
I pointed directly down at the red Camaro the three of us were leaning on. "Hana here wanted to come out and see her friends tonight, and she wanted me to race her car down the hill so I can show her my real drifting skills."
Tina narrowed her eyes slightly. "During our contract negotiation, you explicitly stated you could act as my personal driver, but you didn't mention a single thing about being able to downhill race and drift. Why?"
I looked at her like she was being completely stupid, letting out a chuckle.
"If I went ahead and wrote down every single awesome skill I could execute, the price to hire me would have immediately quadrupled," I countered smoothly. "So I only listed the basic parameters of what I am willing to do for the money you're currently paying. Otherwise, you would be forcing me to go out and race for your family syndicates every single week."
Tina nodded her head in understanding. Just securing my high-tier martial arts, driving instincts, and precision marksmanship was already more than worth her corporate investment. But she still looked at me with squinted eyes, a sharp smile touching her lips.
"So you're still actively holding out on me with your true talent, right?"
Even though I appreciated this serious, analytical side of Tina, I had absolutely no intention of following her rhythm. I turned away, addressing my best friend.
"Hey buddy, are you planning on entering the race tonight?" I asked. "Oh, never mind, I forgot you're completely broke just like me."
"No way, bro!" Jim laughed, raising his hands. "If I went down that hill, I would literally roll straight down the mountain and die. My driving skills are only good when I am sitting in front of an arcade cabinet, ha-ha!"
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Chris Honda trying to silently slink back into the crowd. I immediately called out his name, and the white-haired doctor froze dead in his tracks.
"Harass Hana, talk to Hana, or make Hana suffer in any way shape or form, and even the police will never be able to find your body or figure out where you took a permanent vacation," I warned, my voice dropping into a dangerous, icy register. "If anyone bothers her from now on, I will come looking for you first. Do you get my meaning?"
Chris Honda couldn't figure out how a random high school kid could be this fucking vicious. His pride was stinging, and his mind immediately started calculating how to use his high-society connections with powerful corporate families to get an active revenge on me later.
Too bad for Chris, the single job I keep completely secret from everyone but the Ning twins is my master-tier computer skills. I was already planning to put his name straight onto my digital watch list the second I got back to my laptop to counter any retaliation he cooked up. Hackers are a scary breed!
Hana, feeling that Tina's intense interest was getting a bit too intrusive, offered a pleasant smile to the redheaded heiress to shift the focus.
"Hello, Miss Feng, thanks for defusing that situation for Rick," Hana said smoothly. "I really don't want a fun night out to be completely ruined for everyone. My name is Dr. Hana Chang from Star General's ER. I am pleased to finally meet you after hearing so much about you from Rick."
What Hana said to her was perfectly fine, but the moment the words left her mouth, she boldly wrapped her right arm straight around my waist and began gently rubbing my chest with her left hand. The tactile contact made me blush a bit in front of the entire crowd, and I could see Scott's expression turning incredibly bad. Never mind, I wasn't going to let myself be embarrassed now.
Scott jumped into our space, pointing a shaking finger at my white suit as he turned to Tina.
"When and why the hell did you make Little Dick Rick your personal bodyguard?!" he demanded, his voice cracking with rage. "Is this some kind of cheap joke? This guy is completely pathetic!"
Tina completely ignored Hana's presence, turning her sharp gaze straight toward Scott with a derisive, mocking smile. She pointed a finger at his chest, then back at herself.
"Then how about you send any of your personal family bodyguards to attack me right now, and let's see exactly how pathetic Rick is?" she challenged, her voice cold. "That's exactly what I thought, Tang. Your memory is incredibly short. Did you already forget what just happened to your enforcers at the front gates on Monday morning? Oh, don't go looking like a spoiled, crying child. You are the exact person who made Rick the man he is today, so we should really be thanking you, ha-ha!"
The mention of Monday morning triggered my own memory tracks. While Scott stood there looking completely frustrated and cornered, I stepped forward to remind him of another detail.
"By the way, Mr. Tang, I finally got all of my lost memories back from the day you first ordered your crew to beat me during our freshman year," I said, my voice smooth and dangerous. "I haven't properly thanked you for that milestone yet. Oh, and hello, Miss Mei Xia. It is truly nice to finally meet you in person."
The second the words left my mouth, both Scott and his personal maid looked completely horrified. I knew her exact name, and Scott suddenly got an intense feeling in his chest like something in his world was deeply, fundamentally wrong, though his brain had absolutely no idea what the problem was. I knew Nichole Ning was already planning to deport her, but I was fully planning to let Scott know that I was the mastermind behind the tip. That way, the arrogant heir would focus all of his rage on me, completely protecting the twins from him blaming their family for the breakdown.
If Scott had been smart enough to marry his maid or get her pregnant early on, she would have legally been allowed to stay in the country. But his severe fear of getting an illegal immigrant pregnant before his primary marriage to Linda Lang was finalized made him make massive logistical mistakes with her paperwork.
HOOOOOOONG!
Right at that exact millisecond, it officially turned 11 PM. A massive blast from a compressed air horn echoed across the summit, announcing to the entire rest stop that it was time for the downhill car races to begin. Hana, still held tightly in my arms, looked exactly like a little kid who was about to open up a pile of Christmas presents.
"Ah! Crap," I muttered, checking my trousers. "I just realized I don't have a thousand dollars on me for the baseline racing fee!"
And like pure racing magic, Hana reached straight into her designer clutch purse, pulled out a thick stack of clean bills, and playfully slapped them against my chest.
"With you sitting behind the wheel, I am guaranteed to get every single dollar back anyway," she cheered, her eyes shimmering. "And you get to keep the winning pot for yourself. Let's go sign up right now, Rick!"
The entire crowd watched in absolute disbelief as the beautiful, red-dressed doctor aggressively dragged me across the asphalt toward the registration station.
While we were standing in line at the sign-up table, the opening motorcycle races were already running down the mountain paths. The mechanical scream of the bikes echoed up the ridge. I really liked that scene as well!
"Rick, there are a few things I want to quickly say and ask you before our number is called," Hana whispered, leaning her head against my shoulder. "First of all... will I be flagging you off from the starting line tonight, or am I riding along in the passenger harness?"
I looked down into her expecting, hopeful eyes, offering her a firm nod.
"If I ever decide to enter the motorcycle races in the future, you can drop the starting flag for me," I explained. "But tonight? I am not out here racing for myself, Hana. I am here driving this Camaro specifically for you. So naturally, I need my copilot sitting right next to me. Plus, you need to do the active spotting for my corners."
"You have absolutely no idea how incredibly turned on those exact words make me feel right now," she murmured, her breath warm against my neck. "But sadly, tonight won't be a good night for us to go all the way. It isn't a safe day on my calendar, and I haven't taken the pill yet. It takes a bit of time for the medication to actually work in my system. Well... that's the whole reason I did what I did earlier inside the parking lot, ufufu."
"Wow," I chuckled, my face flushing slightly as I remembered her aggressive suction. "So I was actually close to staying over at your condo? Well, it's completely fine. I think the two of us are rushing our relationship tracks anyway. Plus, I have to be sitting at my high school desk in less than eight hours. What else did you want to mention, Hana?"
She leaned up, planting a quick, sweet kiss on my cheek before grinning.
"Next weekend, the exact moment you are completely finished with your high school testing, my safe days open up," she promised, her voice dropping into a low purr. "So you can spend the entire night with me inside my apartment, if you want."
"I absolutely want to!" I said, my male instincts locking onto the offer.
"Chris Honda holds a lot of influence in this city due to his influence," she warned, her expression turning serious again. "So please be incredibly careful about what kinds of schemes he might try to pull. He has the money to hire street criminals to deal with you, exactly like that total dick Scott Tang does. I'm really sorry that you had to step in and defend my past tonight."
I caught her hand, squeezing her soft fingers tightly as I willingly jumped right into her romantic trap.
"After completely charming me tonight, don't you dare say sorry to me," I told her, my voice deep and unyielding. "Beating off local pests is exactly what I will do for you from now on, because you absolutely deserve it. It is exactly like letting me open your car door, Hana... it makes me feel useful and necessary."
Then it was our turn to get matched. The woman handling the registration desk looked over her clipboard and asked about my total number of races, wins, and cars. When I listed zero for everything, she didn't look interested in our run at all, mechanically checking off boxes with a bored expression.
Hana mentally chuckled at her, imagining this clerk would all of a sudden want to throw her panties at me the second she actually witnessed my real skills down the mountain. Too bad for her, first impressions matter.
"Here," the clerk said, sliding a plastic tracker slip across the table. "You will be the first warm-up race of the night, and it will start at 11:30 sharp. Go get your car ready. Your opponent is a new racer as well, with only two races under his belt."
As we walked back across the asphalt to the Camaro, Hana thought I was disappointed about being relegated to a basic warm-up slot and immediately tried to console me. I just looked down at her and offered a calm smile.
"No, this is great!" I said, completely unbothered. "It's an incredibly easy one thousand dollars for us. Besides, you still get to ride passenger with me down the mountain, and that's all you really wanted from me tonight anyway, right?"
"You are completely right," she smiled, her eyes softening. "But will you be alright on this track? You haven't actually driven it before tonight."
"But I did drive it, on our way up," I countered, tapping my temple. "My instincts memorized the entire layout all the way up the mountain. I already saw exactly where the rain gutters are, where the loose sand patches sit, and the geometry of all the turns, so it's not a problem at all."
When we finally got back to our car, it looked as though most of the high-society crowd had cleared out of our immediate space, leaving only Hana's two friends and James waiting by the bumper.
"Rick, I see your number is first up on the big board," Jim said, walking over to slap my shoulder. "Good luck, brother, and I'll see you at your school desk tomorrow morning. I have to head back over to my group now. Oh, and Miss Minamoto... let's definitely hang out together later this week, and thanks for giving me your number!"
I patted Jim's shoulder as he walked away, a bit surprised to see that my idiot best friend had actually managed to smooth-talk his way into getting Akeno's phone number. But to be perfectly honest, Akeno doesn't exactly seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed if you get my drift.
Hana spent a few moments hugging her coworkers goodbye since they were planning to stay up at the summit to watch the rest of the night's events on the live stream screens, while she and I were going to head straight home from the finish line at the bottom.
I stood by the passenger side holding her door open, and when she finally came over to climb into the cabin, she stopped right in front of me, wrapped her arms around my neck, and deeply kissed my lips right in front of everyone before sliding into the bucket seat.
"That's for good luck," she whispered with a sharp grin.
I reached across her frame to personally fasten her five-point racing harness, pulling the heavy straps until they were very snug against her chest. She didn't mind the tight restriction at all. Then I climbed into the driver's seat and executed the exact same safety protocol on myself. Even though my instincts made me completely confident behind the wheel, I always check every single variable when it comes to field safety.
The moment I twisted the key and the aggressive roar of the engine filled the interior, the two foreign girls stood on the curb and waved us off as we rolled out of the stall.
Right on time, the staging personnel used light batons to flag the vehicles into their respective starting spots. I shifted into neutral and looked out my side window to inspect the competition.
The man's name was Blake. He was one of Scott Tang's noble friends from a lower aristocratic house, but I didn't care about his lineage tracks for a single second. He was sitting behind the wheel of a bright red Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, which is honestly a fantastic all-wheel-drive machine for handling tight downhill curves.
Hana and I didn't even bother looking over to acknowledge our opponent. We kept our focus locked entirely forward, anticipating the drop. I glanced sideways at her.
"Are you doing alright over there?"
"I honestly feel like it's my very first date all over again," Hana admitted, her chest heaving as she tried to regulate her breathing. "The unknown feelings of fear, joy, and pure adrenaline... I think completely entrusting my safety to you is a major part of the thrill. So make my heart beat, Rick."
Looking at the main line, I saw the digital countdown signal illuminating, and Hana placed both of her hands firmly onto her harness belts to steady her heart rate.
[ 3! ]
I aggressively revved the Camaro's engine, sending a booming exhaust note across the asphalt to intimidate my opponent. He immediately took the bait, his ego flaring as he pinned his own throttle to rev back at me.
[ 2! ]
"Hana..." I said, my voice completely calm and casual as my fingers settled around the gear shifter. "I am just going to drive."
[ 1! ]
I hit the clutch and smoothly shifted into first gear. But I was not planning to power out as hard as the car could physically manage. My tactical strategy was simple: I was going to tail this guy the entire way down the mountain, let him run himself ragged, and then effortlessly overtake him on the very last curve before the finish line. He had only logged two races in his entire life, meaning his lack of real-world experience was guaranteed to make him edgy and prone to making mistakes under pressure.
[ GO! ]
Screeech!
With a massive spray of burning rubber, Blake's tires spun hard against the asphalt, and his Lancer Evo bolted off the line like a crazy man. I slipped the clutch smoothly, immediately taking up a tight tracking position right on his rear bumper. This deliberate, calculated move of mine completely confused the amateur spectators up top, but out of the corner of my eye, I saw a few veteran drivers in the crowd nodding their heads in absolute approval.
As we reached high speeds, I could tell my leader was incredibly nervous because I was tailgating him with only two feet between our bumpers. I would only be screwed if he slammed on his brakes out of nowhere, but doing that at this velocity would throw his own car straight off the highway, and killing himself definitely wasn't on his list of things to do tonight.
"Ah! Rick honey, this is dangerous, is it not?"
Poor Hana was looking genuinely panicky as she watched me tailgate this driver Blake down the mountain. I focused entirely on the turns, a confident smile cutting across my face as I answered my nervous passenger.
"Hana, do you want your boyfriend to be completely passive and safe, or do you want the exact excitement you asked for? You told me to drive, and that's exactly what I'm doing."
Screeech! Screeech!
Both of our cars drifted side-by-side around a long bend, the tires crying out against the pavement. From her passenger window, Hana could clearly see the face of Blake, who was sweating literal buckets at my aggressive driving style. A sudden, wild smile broke across her face.
"I-I think my panties are completely ruined... I absolutely love this! Hah!"
I smiled under the dash lights because we still had four more major curves to complete before the finish line. After we cleared the fourth curve, right before the absolute last hairpin bend, I would make my move.
Screeech! Screeech!
As we locked into a synchronized side-by-side drift, Blake was trapped on my right side. When he glanced over and saw me completely executing the 'Raise the Roof' routine—holding both of my hands high up in the air and not touching the steering wheel at all—I bet some actual piss came right out of his dick!
Fortunately, Hana had already found out about my hands-free wheel trick during our first run, so her soul didn't completely leave her body this time.
Unknown to me at that exact microsecond, one of the high-tech drone cameras trailing our run caught all three of our facial expressions perfectly in a single frame. Hana had a confident smirk, I had a calm smile like this whole race was absolutely nothing, and Blake looked like he was about to face a literal death. Yep, I was guaranteed to end up on some viral internet memes and GIFs after this stream hit the network!
Screeech! Screeech!
On the third curve, which swung the Camaro's momentum back to Hana's side again, Blake didn't even bother to look over at us this time, completely afraid to see something heartbreaking. He only had one single thought left in his simple mind: getting this terrifying red car off his ass. His asshole honestly couldn't squeeze shut any tighter than it already was.
"Hana, hold on tight and don't make a sound," I commanded, my voice dropping into a focused register. "I am going to get completely serious now!"
Screeech! Screeech!
The exact second the fourth of the five major curves was completed, I reached out and completely shut off my headlights. Blake and the onlookers stationed down the ridge could no longer see my vehicle well in the dark! Driving down a mountain pass in the absolute pitch black like this is incredibly dangerous, and only top-tier professionals can pull off the maneuver without crashing. The whole reason I was following Blake so closely was to use his own headlights to my advantage, tracking his trajectory.
Blake got completely confused when the white glare that had been shoved up his ass for the last two miles suddenly vanished into thin air, making it look like I had lost traction and fallen straight off the mountain. He checked his mirrors frantically to see if I was passing him, but saw absolutely no lights. His immediate thought was that I ate it. Then, as the final hairpin curve came up, my headlights suddenly sprang back to life, and the full, unyielding roar of the turbocharged engine echoed across the rock walls!
Screeech! Screeech!
As I initiated my pass on the now relaxed and vulnerable Blake, I used the sudden burst of my high-beams to confuse his vision and slide right past his quarter panel. With zero issues, I completely overtook his Lancer Evo as we came out of the final bend. Now Blake was stuck behind my rear bumper, eating pure dust! Blake made absolutely no attempt to pass me back, probably suffering from intense fright and total confusion, but it was way too late for him anyway.
Passing the final line marker, I decided to add a perfect cherry to my debut race, pulling the wheel hard to spin the Camaro for a double 360-degree drift.
Screeech! Screeech!
After a flawless double-spin, the sports car came to a complete, balanced stop on the asphalt, with thick plumes of burnt tire smoke wafting everywhere into the night air. Poor Hana was aggressively biting her bottom lip from all the raw adrenaline running through her nervous system. That last high-speed spin had completely wrecked her insides.
I smoothly pulled the vehicle up to where the event coordinator was standing and rolled down my driver's side window. Another cute girl was running the book tonight, and she handed me my winning pot, letting her fingers touch my hands for significantly longer than normal.
"Rick Lee, that run was absolutely intense," she said, her cheeks turning pink. "Here is your money, and, um... my name is Amanda if you need anything at all during your next race entry."
"Thanks, Amanda," I replied, taking the stack of cash. "But I have to go right now. I have major tests tomorrow morning. See ya!"
I pulled out of the rest area and drove us smoothly back to Hana's high-end complex. Once the engine hum quieted down, she finally turned her smoky blue eyes to look at me.
"You literally gave me the greatest orgasm of my life in that race," she breathed, her voice completely tight. "I am absolutely drenched right now. If I wasn't completely sure that your biology would get me pregnant tonight, I would honestly take you right here in this seat, sigh."
I grinned, my advanced medical instincts letting me smell the distinct, sweet scent proving she had indeed finished during the run. I reached over, gently rubbing her soft thigh.
"You already made my night completely unforgettable earlier in the parking lot, remember?" I reminded her with a warm smile. "We can easily wait until next weekend for the rest. I am just incredibly glad I could make you happy tonight. Oh, look, we are back at your complex. Let's wait for the security guard to clear the arm."
After the heavy front gate swung open, I headed straight to lot 7 and entered her digital code into the secondary pad. When we entered the car park,
Hana pressed the button on her key chain, her garage door rolled upward, and I parked her Camaro safely inside the slot.
She reached across the console, tightly catching my hand.
"Just come inside the house for a single minute," she said, a brilliant smile on her face. "I have something specific to give you. Come with me, Rick."
I let out a small smirk because my eyes caught a slightly damp patch left against the red fabric of her miniskirt from the exact moment she finished.
When we stepped past the threshold into her home, she turned on a few ambient lights and pointed toward the living room. "One second, let me go get it for you."
Hana walked straight into her bedroom, and when she stepped back out, she was holding a second set of house keys in her hand.
"This is the proof of my absolute trust in you, Rick," she said, sliding the keys into my palm. "You can come over and work on the racing gear in the garage anytime you want, or you can stay here if you ever need a private place to escape. It will also make it incredibly easy for you to surprise me with a real, non-frozen meal after my shifts. I just hope you don't think this gesture is too sudden?"
I took the keys, slipped them safely into my pocket, and pulled this blonde angel into my arms to kiss her lips. After about three minutes of intense passion, I gently released her waist and looked into her eyes.
"This first date was completely life-changing for me, Hana," I told her honestly. "You are too amazing. I can't wait to fall madly in love with you down the road. And I will definitely be back here next week, for sure."
Hana smiled beautifully at my words, and then an impish, mischievous smirk crossed her face. She bent over slightly, reached beneath the hem of her red miniskirt, and rolled down her ruined red thong. She bunched the damp lace up in her hand, aggressively stuffed it straight into my right suit pocket, and winked.
"You need a proper trophy so you can always remember tonight's first date," she teased with a melodic laugh. "But don't go sniffing it later, you pervert, that's just completely nasty, ufufu."
After sharing a little more kissing by the door, I was finally sent off into the night with a beautiful smile by my brand-new girlfriend.
