Chapter 142: Earth Girls Are Easy!
Chapter 142: Earth Girls Are Easy!
"Alright class, just like at the start of the year, I will have a few of you come up in groups of two to read some lines together," Mrs. Song announced, her voice bouncing off the high ceilings of the auditorium. "It will break the ice and let me see what on-the-spot acting skills each of you possess."
She reached down to place a large box onto her desk, which contained the shuffled names of 19 distinct groups. She gestured for all of us to take one to see who our partners will be.
Kate pouted when she saw she didn't get the same number as me, her eyes scanning my paper.
"Now everyone, find your partners," Mrs. Song called out, waving her hand to clear the stage floor.
I look to see, my number is #7! Soon in the confusion, I found the person with my matching number. She is a tall woman with long-brown-hair and green-eyes. You guessed it, Ana Zi. Oh and the look of jealousy coming from the death-god behind Kate, directed to Ana is palpable.
Ana stands next to me and whispers, "Well, I am happy we can test some lines together, because if you get the role, we will have many fun scenes together, fufu."
I kept my eyes on the stage area, keeping my voice low as I replied, "Sure, but it is only acting."
Ana smiles and says suggestively, "But acting is just an expression of ourselves, so for a short while, we became someone else. So it is like role-playing. We get to be those characters for a bit. I like my Vampire noble character, she is strong, sexy, and aggressive. I can relate to her. Naturally I can't tell you the plot unless you sign the nondisclosure-agreement, but you could say there are love triangles in the next movie, fufu, and it is rated-R."
The two of us watch the six groups ahead of us, and Kate with another girl are doing a scene from a romance comedy, of two girls fighting over the right to be a 1st wife for so and so. I can tell, most of these scripts come from old drama or soaps, back when the teacher was still acting.
Funnily, both Sam and Logan are in the same group, so the teacher had to use a rarely used skit with two men in it. This time both men are fighting over their childhood love. I can actually tell, Logan is freshly into Advanced level, while Sam is only at the peak Basic level of acting.
I could tell the Teacher Song and many of the girls in class were surprised at the talent of Logan. Well, he came from a Temple, and they train hard in everything they pursue in life.
Sam was taken-aback at Logan's skill, and felt he was still better, but now he has to show up this older man now. But I warned Logan about Sam, so no big deal.
"Number 7, please come up," Mrs. Song called out, checking her paper.
So when Ana and I walked up together, a lot of the girls gossiped due to both of our identities, like an ugly-prince is up with a swan-commoner girl. Not that bad but we actually look good together on stage.
Okay, that was a stretch, but the girls like the name Tang, and my dressing style, so I am automatically seen as desirable even with my just above average looks. Ana on the other-hand, has all the looks, but a common background. She is a Cinderella to the other girls.
"Here, I think this scene is good for you two," Mrs. Song said, handing over the script.
I swear to God, I think June Song just winked at me. So I looked at the scene and noticed Ana has a smile on her face. Yeah, this is a damn romance scene of a young man confessing, sigh. I think I just saw this scene at lunch time, right?!
So, with my Acting Advanced, it was very easy to memorize this scene, well with my Education Basic assisting as well. So the Teacher Song says, "Alright, Rick stand on Mark 4, and Ana, stand on Mark 2."
When acting, in a play or a movie, they put Marks on the floor to show where the actors must stand during a scene. This is so the audience, or cameras always have a clear view of the acting going on. Also, if a scene needs to be re-done, you can find out where in a set you need to be, so the many cuts look natural.
Ana and I ended up two feet away from one another and faced a bit to the audience. It is not the natural way we would stand talking to one another, but the viewers see our faces better.
"Okay, both of you start now," the teacher commanded, leaning back in her chair.
After the teacher said her words, Ana switched to a different person, a cold high-school noble girl, who has a fiance. I am playing the part of a childhood friend, who wants to convince the girl to elope with me, and leave her family for true love.
Ana on her mark put her back to me for the start, and I had my hands held out palms up as she starts the scene, "Kris, why have you come, I told you to stay away from me."
I stepped closer to match her stance, pouring emotion into my delivery, "Alice, you are all my heart dreams about night and day. This pain in my chest cannot be cured without you!"
Ana looks over her shoulder and snorts derisively and counters, "My family has already made the decision, I am to be Scott Zhang's wife, now leave."
I then approach and spin her around to face me, and take her hands. Oh, they are soft as a side thought. Anyway I tell her my feelings, "But I joined the Military for you, and in two weeks, I will be sent to the Africa Battlefield, so please, Alice, let me love you as a husband! We may never see each-other again. You are my childhood love, after-all!"
My Acting Advanced let me add the raw emotion of those feelings of desperation, to share my last moments with my true love. Just like my Kung-Fu Animal Styles, I get into the characters mind and pretend I am him, while remembering my lines.
Ana, feeling my tightening hands, began to get lost in her role, like when the perfect prop is helping you, your two Skills Synchronize making both actors better, it is chemistry.
She squeezed my fingers in return, looking up at me as she delivered her line, "You are an idiot! Who told you to do something so stupid, to throw your life away?!"
I stepped in even closer, raising my voice to match her tone, "Alice~! The moment you accepted Scott Zhang's proposal, my life was already over! I was desperate to get a job, you would be happy with it! A widow, of a soldier that dies in battle, will want for nothing, so, please marry me, my lovely Alice!"
While holding her hands firmly, I got on one knee, like a proper proposal in my first Earth, this was a bit spontaneous and was not in the script, but my Acting Advanced said it was the right move for this scene. Teacher Song noticed this move as she is a peak Advanced Actress.
I channeled desperation into my voice, and even managed to make some tears surface at the corners of my eyes, like I would be devastated if she rejected me as Ana delivered her line, "I-I cannot love you the way you want! Get out of my sight! Kris, I hate you!"
Ana expertly added a tremble to her voice to show she is faltering, and then it was my line, so I stood and pulled her into my chest, with both her hands on my chest. This move allows an actress to retain their dignity, of not having to rub their tits on another actor. Well some actresses don't care and would do it for realism.
I held her gaze, dropping my voice into an intimate whisper for the final line, "No Alice! You love me, if you don't, then push me away!"
Ana's green-misty-eyes, and my emotional-blue-eyes, slowly advance to one another as a dramatic super-slow-kiss would ensue, but the script tells us to stop just as our lips would meet.
But unfortunately, the audience does not know this.
Just as Ana closed her eyes, and our breaths mingled, there were two shouts from the crowd.
A woman leaped to her feet from her row, screaming out, "Rick, don't kiss her!"
Right beside the stage, a man also stood up frantically, yelling in an angry tone, "Ana, don't you dare kiss that trash!"
If you guessed the two frantic standing students yelling, are Kate and Sam, you win a gold-star.
Clap Clap Clap! June Song stood up and clapped for me and Ana, who are an inch away and looking at each-other, due to knowing we rocked it!
Teacher Song said, "Both of you followed that scene perfectly, and Rick, nice mood improvement there with the kneeling, it was fresh. You two were so convincing, that even the stars of Entertainment Tonight, could not help but participate, fufu. A+ to both of you."
So Teacher Song asked us both followup questions, turning her gaze toward me on the stage mark, "Now, Rick, what made you kneel down for the proposal? And it seems you are comfortable with that character."
I smile and admit, scratching the back of my neck, "Actually, I have a bit too much experience with proposing to wives and lovers. As for the character, yeah, my past led to the emotions of desperation that Kris' character felt."
Mrs. Song nodded in deep understanding of that point, turning her gaze from the stage mark to look directly at Ana, "And you seemed to relate to Alice, so how did you channel that?"
Ana smoothed down the fabric of her skirt, her green eyes reflecting a cold, analytical precision as she answered, "Alice is a woman throwing love away for security and her own family and personal happiness. In the end, I felt she was going to use Kris for the benefits, then after, return to Scott. Probably with broken chastity and a baby not Scott's. That is the type of woman Alice was, I believe."
Mrs. Song shook her head slightly at the dark interpretation, looking down at her clipboard with a nostalgic sigh, "I played Alice a long time ago, and she actually loved Kris, and the two married, had a child, and Kris survived the war. Well that was how the show wrote it, but your interpretation is your projection into the character, and It was still very good."
Yup, and that is the exact reason I would not fall in love with Ana in real life. Her acting is fucking amazing though, a complete master of her craft.
Doing intense love scenes with her on a professional set would be completely fine, but in actual reality, I would never love her due to her incredibly jaded views on relationships.
Nadia and Nichole almost ended up exactly like Ana, but something deep inside them completely changed the moment we met. I like to think my presence changed their hearts just a bit, softening their rough edges. Well, Nichole specifically told me that in private when she boldly declared her love for me was stronger than Nadia's, a bold claim indeed. But I think they both love me the exact same amount, just in entirely different ways.
Teacher Song, now in an exceptionally good mood after the high-level performance, turned her focus back to the audience and locked eyes with Sam, "Mr Sun, first never call a fellow actor trash in my class again, mkay! And second, what made you call out so passionately in that scene?"
Sam sat there looking both incredibly pissed and heavily embarrassed, shifting his posture defensively as he spat out his justification, "I could see in Rick's eyes he was going to kiss her without permission, so as a fellow actor, I had to alert Ana to Rick's intentions of taking advantage of her."
Ana rolled her eyes hard at Sam for calling the kettle black, completely unamused by his fake chivalry. Then Teacher Song pivoted her attention across the row, checking her attendance sheet as she asked Kate, "And I guess you felt the same way, Miss Kong?"
Kate blushed intensely at the sudden spotlight, her hands fidgeting with her bag as she struggled to find an excuse that didn't admit she just got a bit incredibly jealous, right?
"Ah? Well no, it is because Rick's wife is my Boss, Victoria Long, and also Ana's Boss, so... Well it might not be good for the Boss's husband to kiss the employees, right?!"
June Song, a veteran to intense actress-rivalry and an absolute old fox in the entertainment industry, easily saw completely through this little girl's transparent deflection. She offered a small, knowing smirk as she tested her, "Perhaps you are right? Maybe I should not have you or Ana do any romantic scenes with Rick to be safe?"
The Idiot-Girl now panicked completely, her defensive wall crumbling as she blurted out, "No, no, it is fine, I see Mrs Long in the morning and after school, so I will let her know for the future, and it will be fine!"
Kate realized too late that with the explicit removal of the two boys and our two specific roles, that still left a massive total of 31 other women in the Drama Club for me to do romantic scenes with, just to keep Ana away from me.
Mrs. Song let out a soft chuckle at the frantic reaction, tapping her papers against the desk to restore order, "Okay, we are running behind, group 8 come on up."
So I sat quietly and watched the rest of the student performances for the remainder of the period, with a heavily pouting Kate occupying the seat directly next to me.
As Kate and I left the drama class later that morning, she was looking incredibly glum, her eyes staring down at her shoes as she asked, "Did you want to kiss Ana?"
Kate was purposely asking her question right now before Ana could successfully catch up to our pace in the busy corridor, so I decided to tell her completely honestly, "No, but if the script calls for it, I don't care, because it is only a kiss without feelings. I will never be in a porn, so sex will never happen. So don't worry. I only think she is a good actress."
"If you are talking about a good actress, is it me, Rick?" Ana's smooth voice suddenly chimed in from behind, a playful smile on her face as she stepped in line with us.
I nodded calmly, extending a hand to point back and forth between her and Kate to deliver my honest appraisal, "Out of all the young actresses from all four major companies, you two are on top for talent. Both of you attract different kinds of fans. Plus share a Vampire crossover with fans."
The three of us made it smoothly to the campus limo-pickup zone, and I easily spotted my white Tang family limousine waiting by the curb, so I turned to Ana to deliver a quick tactical reminder, "While I am watching, get into your car, and look in the backseat before you get in, in-case someone sneaks in, see you tomorrow."
Ana knows I am in strict security business mode right now, nodding seriously as she waved a brief goodbye to me and left the school area in her vehicle.
Then my other wives all began to show up in sequence, with Vicky smoothly getting into her signature Velvet Tower limousine. She splits for the evening to handle her corporate duties, leaving us until later before bedtime.
After I finally got back home to the mansion, my smartphone immediately started vibrating, displaying a call from Hana that I picked up on the first ring, "Hello, Hana, are you feeling well?"
Transmitting directly through the earpiece, her voice sounded clear and completely relaxed, [Honey, I am fine. I have Kim here in my office, and we had a talk about your agreement. Is this what you want, or are you doing it to be kind, like normal?]
I let out a soft smile because I can tell Hana has already fully accepted the situation, and she clearly has me on speaker phone right now for Kim to hear my raw reaction, due to the teacher being incredibly nervous about whether I genuinely meant it.
I adjusted my phone against my ear, making sure my tone was resolute as I answered, "I have feelings for her, and I most definitely would hate it if she was with another man, how's that?"
Hana let out a soft laugh on the other end, her tone dripping with amusement, [I told her you would say something like that. Also, I already told Harem-Chat about it. So you need to talk with both Tina and Linda. They are both waiting for you in the living-room, good luck honey, Ufufu.]
The line went completely dead before I could reply, the phone emitting a sharp tone indicating she had hung up the line, [Click... do do do...]
I looked down at the dark screen of my smartphone, a vein throbbing on my forehead as I cursed out loud at the digital network, "Fuck! You just turned on your creator! I thought all day on how I would broach the topic, and they already know!"
With a bit of cold sweat breaking out across the back of my neck, I slowly turned toward the main hallway to leave for my official interrogation.
Walking into the spacious living room, I saw Mei, Jenifer, and Mercy sitting up at the bar-counter, all three of them wearing completely indifferent, masked expressions.
Mary, Nichole, Nadia, Tina, and Linda were currently sitting together on the central couches waiting for my arrival, so I walked up and stood directly in the center of the floor like a convicted criminal ready for final judgment. Fuck, are Mary and Nadia seriously eating a fresh bowl of popcorn right now?
Linda looked up at me from her seat, her grey eyes delivering her stance flatly, "Everyone but Tina and I are fine with Kim Smith, we all like her, but..."
Tina sat right next to her with her arms tucked tightly under her boobs, her legs crossed with one foot actively bouncing in the air as she delivered the final condition, "You may not marry her until both Linda and I are official wives, there is no budging on this dear. That is our bottom line."
I nodded my head in immediate agreement, stepping closer to the couch to explain the reality of the timeline, "Her parents still have to be met in person, and I am sorry this was so sudden. But I am doing it for my feelings, and not her situation."
Nadia reached into the popcorn bowl, offering a cheerful confirmation as she chewed, "Yup, Ricky likes Kim, so I feel he loves her. I am fine with her, she is fun, fufu."
Nichole rubbed her prominent seven-month belly with one hand, letting out a slightly distressed sigh as she added her own perspective, "That woman was so clueless of her feelings, so I left her class so she would make a move. I don't hate her."
Mary leaned back against the cushions, a smug grin spreading across her face as she completely shot down my secrecy, "We already knew she would join us, it was just a matter of the two of you noticing. Oh and one more as well, but that is it dear."
I blinked in utter confusion at her cryptic wording, asking immediately, "What one more? And I was not planning on more, I am at my human limit."
Fuck, is she secretly talking about Lucy right now?! I still have absolutely no clue how to bring her existence up to the household, like at all.
Nadia looked up at my stiff expression, turning to her sister with a giggle, "Ricky is confused sister Mary, you need to be direct."
Fuck, Nadia's psychological knowledge of my internal panic is practically supernatural at this point! Mary nodded her head, understanding both her sister's hint and my confusion before delivering the blunt truth, "It is your childhood friend, Miss Kate Kong."
No, it wasn't Lucy after all, but Kate that Mary was explicitly talking about? I rubbed the back of my neck, letting out a heavy breath as I admitted, "That-, is really complicated for me. Especially right now."
Linda adjusted her position on the couch, her tone softening to ease my tension, "Take your time, Rick. Dont rush matters for your heart. You will know when you both feel it. We are just telling you that we see it as a possibility, not a certainty. But."
Mary suddenly held up the smartphone resting on her side table, displaying to the room that Victoria was currently active on speaker mode, and Victoria's authoritative voice filled the living room, [Hello dear, I wanted you to know, Lucy made it so there is a 12 woman limit for Harem-Chat, so we as your wives and lovers are agreeing this is a limit society should abide by. Oh, but Lucy said that a Dozen is more than most men can safely handle, and the 13th would be a forbidden number, fufu.]
Did Lucy seriously just subtly call herself the forbidden thirteenth lover through a software update?!
I stood straight in the center of the room, looking toward the speaker phone as I answered solemnly, "I promise, I will engrave this into my heart."
And just like that, my wives and lovers successfully put an absolute, definitive end to my grand plans of world domination over the female population of Pangaea!
