Chapter 104: Personal Mei’d!
Chapter 104: Personal Mei'd!
After the meeting, it was time for my debriefing, both figuratively and literally. Victoria and I stepped straight into the shower, using the warm spray and our initial foreplay as a chance to discuss the core meeting points before we finally dried off to have dinner.
The two of us watched some television together in the living room before heading to the bedroom to finally make love for the first time since our initial drunken night together. Some strange chemical reaction in my brain just makes physical intimacy with Victoria feel completely amazing, like taking a powerful drug but with absolutely no bad side effects to the body aside from a temporary loss of stamina.
On Saturday morning, Vicky woke up early and curled up beside me in bed to show me something interesting on her tablet. She pulled up the initial traffic logs, revealing that Gretta Yang had used her own smarts to force every single employee under Victoria Cosmetics to immediately download and test the soft opening of our new application. Utilizing their own in-house staff to gather immediate feedback before a major public launch was a brilliant business move.
Gretta Yang was proving to be significantly more resourceful than I first thought. She did not even need the assistance of Star Entertainment or the advertising departments to make an impact. I had completely forgotten that her cosmetic branch employed dozens of top supermodels who could easily shoot custom commercials for the brand whenever necessary.
Diana Long might serve as Vicky's primary advertising arm, but all four major nobility blocks possessed countless media outlets anyway, making internal infighting and backstabbing entirely pointless. If I truly wanted to fast-track our expansion, I could easily make a single phone call to my fathers-in-law to get the platform promoted across the Tang and Feng networks. I just wanted to avoid doing it forcefully, knowing my own personal business experience would never grow if I cheated my way out of the real-world grind.
By the time afternoon rolled around, all of my wives, including Tina, had left the mansion together to spend the rest of their Saturday relaxing at a private luxury spa for some dedicated girls' time. With the ladies gone, Saturdays had essentially transformed into maid time. Mercy, Mei, and now Jenifer became much more present around the house the moment the wives vacated the premises.
I had previously purchased a season pass to the park for Mercy, but I recently had to scramble to get a separate pass for Jenifer since I had no idea she would be officially moving into my home so quickly. All of the maids and wives had been openly envious that I was taking Mei to Disneyland alone for the weekend, forcing me to promise a massive group outing in the future once the local weather cleared up and the current pregnancies permitted it.
If you were wondering how exactly Jenifer was trying to get closer to me, she was currently using her advanced secretary skills to teach me the inner workings of the Fire Birds.
She spent hours providing me with the essential infrastructure news required to effectively run the organization as the vice-leader, and eventually the leader, even when Tina wasn't directly handling the operations. The two of us had been completely stupefied when we first started collaborating on the paperwork.
Apparently, my Business Management skill was so comprehensive that it easily covered running the entire Fire Birds as a streamlined corporate enterprise rather than a standardized criminal gang. Every ledger book, payroll account, and logistics task under their daily operations was handled by my muscle memory without a single hitch.
Jenifer looked up at me like I was some sort of underworld vice-leader god, especially since even Tina frequently struggled with the complex financial sheets. The intense secretary fetish woman practically had anime stars shining in her eyes. Damn, who could have guessed that operating a massive syndicate would fall right into my professional wheelhouse.
Jenifer set down a stack of folders on my desk, her voice softening as she stepped closer. "Master, when I first was put in charge of keeping an eye on you, I had no idea you were born to run a Syndicate. My family has relied on me to make this group grow so my Han clan can grow. I knew Tina was the right person to follow, and that decision brought me to you."
I smiled up at the normally quiet and hard-working woman. Her natural charisma wasn't nearly as overwhelming as the other ladies in the house, but her brain was incredibly sharp. During our chaotic fight in the forest, she had maintained absolute focus and executed every single instruction flawlessly. Even when a stray bullet hit her, she had refused to panic under the intense hail of gunfire.
I leaned back in my chair, tapping a pen against the desk. "Well, Tina is still going to be the actual boss. She always wanted to run the daily operations, so I am really just the leader in name only."
Jenifer shook her head firmly, immediately spoiling my personal dream of being a completely hands-off leader. "No, Master. Tina can run the day-to-day tasks for you, but the entire organization is only loyal to you even if you step back. They will listen and take orders from Tina as your wife, but truly in times of crisis, you will be called. Even Tina has confided this to me and others. Even the current leader told you when we met him before, right? That is why I call you Master now. I serve under the winner of the Tournament. My job is to aid you and the Fire Birds for my Han family."
I nodded slowly as the pieces clicked into place, realizing she would have been forced to serve Alex or Steven Woo if either of them had won the tournament instead. She was essentially a secondary prize attached to Tina's inheritance, acting as a safeguard assistant to guide the new leader if he turned out to be a bit slow in the head.
"Well then, just keep doing what you have been doing," I replied, signing off on the final payroll sheet.
Jenifer shifted her weight, a sudden flush rising on her cheeks as she struggled to voice an embarrassing question. She bit her lip before finally letting it out. "Master, it seems you have a liking for maid outfits, and my family expects me to wear them. What do you wish for? I will listen to your preferences."
I shook my head, wanting her to be comfortable while she worked. "Sure, I like maid outfits, but I also really like business-lady outfits. Your personal dressing preference is already very stylish, and you naturally look more like a professional secretary anyway. I think if you are genuinely happy with what you are wearing, you will do a better job, right?"
Her eyes widened in surprise. "Really? I did not know you liked my outfits. Then you would be fine with this as my uniform?"
"Sure," I nodded, offering an easy solution to her family dilemma. "And if your family gives you any shit about it, just tell them that I explicitly made you dress this way. If you really want to compromise as a maid-secretary, then just dress in sharp black suits with clean white shirts, a crimson tie, and a matching hairband to represent the Fire Birds colors. Plus, black and white happen to be my official Tang colors anyway."
Jenifer looked like she was about to burst into actual tears of joy upon hearing me issue an official command that her traditional family couldn't legally ignore. She nodded rapidly, a bright smile breaking across her face. "Then I will order some of those for work. I will make sure they are in different designs, so no one thinks it is the same outfit, ufufu."
The complete nut-job of a secretary practically sprinted out of the study to order her new clothing line, acting exactly like a nerd rushing through a comic-con convention.
I watched the door slam shut, turning back to my monitor to mutter to myself. "Well, Harem-Chat is the start of my business empire, but so are the darker businesses of the Fire Birds. Guess I will have to help Tina out a lot more than I initially thought. Crap, she knew I would have to help all along, didn't she?!"
Unknown to me at that exact moment, the very first item Jenifer ordered from the manufacturer was a custom-tailored, female-matching version of the iconic black long coat I always wore. I was going to find out about that little detail much later, unfortunately.
On Sunday morning, I woke up early in Mary's quarters, holding her tightly in my arms and gently smelling her hair while we stayed warm beneath the heavy winter blankets. My hand traced the subtle curve of her now-showing pregnant belly as the two of us shared stories about our wild younger days in high school.
Mary shifted against my chest, her voice drifting out softly in the quiet room. "Rick, just this time last year, I was nursing you from one of your run-ins. It feels like a lifetime ago now."
"Mary, it was a lifetime ago for me," I replied, tightening my embrace around her shoulders. "But the fact that we are standing here now and in significantly better shape than before just proves we are keeping our promise to ourselves. Soon, this little terror is going to be born into the world, and we need to make sure we raise him or her with a good upbringing."
Mary let out a soft, melodic laugh, looking up at me. "Ufufu, Rick, you almost sounded confident there as a father. Mom and dad would be so happy to see we are going to be good parents like them."
I reached down to turn her face toward mine, noticing the sudden misty sheen in her eyes from the mention of our parents. I leaned down to kiss her lips gently before offering a playful tease. "Your pregnant hormones are making you emotional again, silly woman."
Mary gave me a playful push against my chest, turning over to tuck herself back into the mattress. "I am sleepy, so go get ready for your date with Mei. She won't shut up about the park, geez. Love you and be safe."
She pulled the thick blanket completely over her head. I smiled, sliding out of the mattress and tossing on my bathrobe before slipping out of her bedroom.
The moment I stepped across the threshold into the main hallway, I almost screamed out loud in fright. Mei was standing directly outside the door, waiting in pure anticipation like a little kid on Christmas morning.
"Master, you finally got out! Hurry and let's get you ready, fufu!" Mei squealed, immediately placing both of her hands against my back to push me down the corridor.
She literally forced me all the way into my own bedroom to start changing, completely ignoring the fact that the actual theme park didn't even open for another three hours.
By the time she was finished coordinating our wardrobe, Mei was dressed in a casual pair of blue jeans, a fitted t-shirt, and her absolute favorite bomber jacket. She had pulled on a pair of cold-weather winter boots with thick, fluffy interiors to keep her feet toasty against the morning chill.
She had forced me into a matching outfit, making me wear blue jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and my heavy black leather jacket. My hands moved down to my lower back, securely adjusting my late father's Beretta M9A4 pistol into its holster, ensuring the custom suppressor was tightly attached.
Mei proudly held up a small plastic baggie filled with her favorite treats, a handful of Tootsie Pops. Cherry was undeniably her number-one flavor. She immediately fished out a chocolate-flavored one and handed it over, instructing me that chocolate was exactly what a real man was supposed to eat. I couldn't help but notice that every single time I actually bit into the chocolate candy, a deeply warm, content smile would break across her face.
Finally, the two of us climbed into her White-Civic and made our way to the amusement park in the southwest of the city.
The two of us sat in the parking lot of Disneyland, eating breakfast combos while I gave her a look of pure annoyance. There were only about six other cars waiting in the entire lot, a full two hours early to even get inside the park.
"Sigh, Mei, I told you we came too early. Look now, what are we going to do for two hours?" I mumbled around a mouthful of food, leaning back against the headrest.
Mei cutely stuck out her tongue, a playful glint in her eyes as she adjusted her seat. "It is not a waste of time. We have the best spots, we will be first in the park, and spending time with a beautiful woman should be good. So Rick, just enjoy your girlfriend's company."
I finished a bite of my breakfast burger, shifting my weight as I decided to ask about her China Empire mission. "Alright, so now you said your handler would also be here today to see if you really have your target? What do you need to do, just meet them or something?"
Mei shook her head, her expression turning slightly serious as she glanced out the window at the empty ticket booths. "She and I have reported, and today is to see I have not wasted my time and you are enjoying my company. She will come to the park today and just accidentally pass us a few times to see how you act. This is to see if you are mad, ignore, or look bored with me. They have seen us together before at the mall when you took me and Mercy mall shopping as well."
I nodded slowly, understanding the surveillance angle. "So is your handler also a seducing spy?"
"Yup, she is a Eurasian woman and married into one of the subordinate families," Mei explained, tapping her fingers against the steering wheel. "She has been here for a while and is a senior operative. She belongs to one of the Lang subfamilies. I can't tell you more than that without looking suspicious."
I tossed the wrapper back into the bag. "Mei, how close do you want to act for your cover mission?"
Her brown eyes locked onto mine, any trace of playful teasing completely vanishing. "I don't want to act, Rick. But because of my past and background, you can't trust anything that comes out of my mouth, sigh. This is why I hate that you knew me before."
She grabbed a napkin from the console, gently wiping the grease from the fingers I had just held my food with. "Even if I told you I fell in love with you, in your heart you will always doubt my words. The worst part... you will always think of Scott if you do anything with me. I hate that. It is like I am guilty of a crime I did commit but wish I did not."
She reached out, her thumb catching a stray crumb on my bottom lip before she popped it into her own mouth, her eyes darkening with a sudden sadness. "Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. But I am a spy whose life is to deceive her target and make them feel love, so I can steal their heart for my mission."
Mei really carried a massive amount of self-hate. I had known for a while that she harbored real, genuine feelings for me. But she was right; I had thought of Scott at first. Now, it was mostly because we had become close friends that I intentionally kept her at a safe distance physically. I decided to ask the one question that had been bugging me.
"Hey, Mei, can I ask one question and get an honest answer from you? It is very important to me."
Mei tensed up slightly. In her heart, she probably assumed it was going to be the impossible-to-prove 'do you really love me' question. She offered a silent, hesitant nod.
"You once said we would be together till we are dead," I said, leaning in closer. "Does that mean you will never leave? What if you are ordered to leave me?"
Mei blinked, clearly surprised by the actual direction of the question. "Nothing in the world is absolute, but... I will never willingly leave your side. I will refuse and fight even if it means betrayal."
My mind processed her micro-expressions instantly. Thanks to a combination of my Advanced Medicine and Grandmaster Kung-Fu, I had trained myself to read obscure body gestures, biological tells, and muscle tenses to determine if a person was acting true or false. A highly trained spy could mask it under a heavy performance, but definitely not twenty-four hours a day. Living under the same roof as Mei had given me plenty of time to learn her baseline.
"Mei, I love you," I stated plainly.
She blanked, looking completely stupid as she struggled to comprehend the sudden shift. I let a small smile break across my face.
"Mei, I hate you," I added immediately.
Her eyebrows scrunched up into a tight, confused knot, completely unaware that I was actively reading her rapid physical responses to the conflicting stimuli.
"Mei, I love you." I grinned like a total prankster.
She opened her mouth to speak, entirely unsure of what my game was.
"Mei, I hate you."
Before she could form a coherent reply, I lunged forward, grabbing the thick lapel of her bomber jacket to pull her straight into a deep kiss.
Mei froze in absolute shock. This was the first time I had ever been actively, physically affectionate with her since she moved in. As my tongue slid past her lips, her rigid posture completely melted, her entire body relaxing as she felt the raw warmth of my actual emotions.
Before I could completely lose my own focus to the heavy lust bubbling up from my chest, I reluctantly pulled back, staring down at the misty-eyed girl.
"Now I have used my skills of seduction to trick your heart, Mei. Now tell me, do I mean it or am I lying? Can you trust my words? Maybe I am disgusted you were with Scott? So tell me, can you trust me now?"
Mei was completely thrown off balance by the rapid, rough delivery of my words. She stared intently into my blue eyes, searching my face until a knowing look finally washed over her features. "So words don't matter, is what you are telling me. No, you're lying to me right now, and you do have feelings for me."
I smiled, glad she was finally looking past the spoken words and tuning into the actual feeling. "Mei Xia, I have found you to be attractive, charming, and reliable. I love that you are a maid-spy. I also want nothing more than to make love to you for the rest of my life, so..."
I let out a goofy, unrefined smile, letting down my guard to show her the real eighteen-year-old guy beneath the syndicate leader titles. "Will you be my Personal Maid? And will you lie to me for the rest of my life, telling me you love me? Tell me you don't love me as well."
Mei looked at my goofy expression, a genuine laugh bubbling past her lips at my dramatic overacting. Her heart was thoroughly trapped now. "Rick, I have always been your Personal Maid. So I will just seduce you with all of my training and be the Personal Maid you want."
I shook my head, tapping her nose playfully. "Not for today. Today, you are my girlfriend and secret lover, remember? So let's act and live a lie that we actually want to live."
Mei didn't hesitate. She unbuckled her seatbelt, climbed right over the center console of the Civic, and manually leaned my bucket seat back. She hovered directly over me, her straight black ponytail brushing against the side of my face as she looked down with a look of complete defeat.
She leaned down, slowly locking her lips with mine in a soft, lingering kiss. My hands moved naturally, tracing the smooth curves of her hips and waist. I decided to say fuck it to my usual reservations, sliding my hand up to gently squeeze her breast through the jacket. Mei smirked against my lips, feeling my exploring hands. "The day I dressed you when you were drunk, you kissed me and told me you loved me. And the morning I woke you, you asked for a kiss in your sleep, so I did. So today is the third time we have kissed."
I wrapped my arms securely around her back, pulling her tightly against my chest. "I have wanted you from the very beginning, but I did not want to use you. I did not want you to look at me and just see Scott, or think I was only after your body. That's why I avoided getting physically close."
She squeezed me back, burying her face into my neck. "When I realized you were like the person who saved my life, I wanted to rip my own heart out for hurting you before."
I patted her back gently, feeling the heavy emotional block between us finally dissolving into the air. "I was incredibly jealous of Scott for having such a beautiful foreign Chinese Empire maid, and I constantly wished I was him. Growing up under his constant oppression, he had everything I wanted."
Mei paused her self-deprecating thoughts, lifting her head to look down into my face with surprise. "You mean you wanted me even when I had you bullied, and I was with that retard? You wanted me?"
I shrugged, offering an honest grin. "Scott did not deserve you. And I spent plenty of time fantasizing about how I would treat you significantly better."
Mei's smile blossomed beautifully. She leaned down to kiss me deeply, losing track of time until she finally pulled back just enough to whisper directly into my ear. "You already treat me better. Now let me take care of you from now on. That is my mission, and I always complete my mission. I will love you for my mission and myself. Just to remind you, I have not had sex for like five months already, so don't make me wait too long, Master~!"
