Ch12- First Date

A.N: In the scene where Mokami talks about tomato and it being spicy;  I gave the explanation for this particular scene later, but I shall write again. When I am writing, I am not thinking of single sentence but the whole scene. I accept that my inability to show you all those scenes are something I should work on as an Author, it doesn't mean the scene is stupid or doesn't make sense. In this scene, Tomato is not spicy but the recipe that uses tomato instead of mayonnaise is spicy. While I was writing, this was obvious to me, I could instantly understand what Mokami meant, again, it is because I can see the whole picture while I can only show a little part of it.

"Moka-chan, let's go there too. Let's go there too! " Nejire pulled Mokami's hand as she made his way to the store. Nejire was 15 years old and was about to go to UA High, thus she was shopping. Since they were living a tad away from Musutafu, she would rent an apartment there. So before she left, she said she wanted to go shopping with him.

"Nejire-chan, wait. " Mokami stopped her as he looked into her eyes.

"What happened, all of a sudden, Moka-chan? " Nejire was flustered, as she lowered her gaze.

"I told you, this is a date, right. " Mokami smiled as he cupped her face. Although he was only 13 years old, his genetics were good. With the help of his new fat-storing organ, he was tall and muscular. He looked like a 16-year-old.

"You are bullying me, Moka-chan. " Nejire avoided her gaze but didn't escape from his embrace.

"Nejire, before you go, I want to know. " Mokami turned her face so they would face each other, "Do you like me?

"You know I do," Nejire whispered.

"I like you too, a lot. " Mokami smiled, much to Nejire's embarrassment.

"Really? " Nejire asked in excitement.

"Yes," Mokami confirmed. He stepped forward and hugged her.

"I'll be glad to go anywhere with you, Moka-chan. " Nejire smiled as she returned his embrace.

"I'll be glad to have you with me, but for now, I'll do this. " Mokami leaned in to kiss her.

Nejire's face turned red, as she started to fidget. This was the only thing she dreamed of since they were small children, and it finally happened. Why did it have to happen when they were about to get separated?

"But you also love Momo-chan, right? " Nejire asked after their kiss. Seeing Mokami's shocked face, Nejire giggled, "You think you are a world-class actor, don't you?

"Nejire, I—" Mokami didn't know how to answer. Was he so easy to read?

"It is okay, Moka-chan! " Nejire held his hand. "I don't try to steal you from anyone. I just want you to like me.

"Doesn't it bother you that Momo is my sister? " Mokami asked. He lately felt closer and closer to Momo and Mika and was sure that his feelings were beyond family love. He loved his sister and admired her character. She was one of the smartest people he knew. She was dedicated, strong-willed and cute beyond belief.  Despite their age, she still acted like a small brat who hugged his leg just like when they were small, and all those made it even harder for him to ignore those feelings.

"Why should it? " Nejire tilted her head. "Love is not something you can control, and his being your sister is beyond your control. You and I grew up together almost like siblings too, but I loved you for most of my life and you clearly do too. What makes it different when it is Momo-chan? Blood?

"I love you, Nejire. I will always love you. I hope you give us a chance because I would really be upset if I lose you. " Mokami honestly answered. He really loved this girl. She was curious, energetic, strong, and smart. Everything he wanted in a woman. Her beauty was a big bonus too.

"That is enough for me, Moka-chan. " Nejire kissed him, "So long as there is room for me in your heart, I will not ask more.

"Room, huh? " Mokami smiled as he cupped her chin and made her meet his gaze. "You can have all the room you want.

"I'll hold you to that, Moka-chan. " Nejire smiled back.

"Okay. Now, let's go shopping. " Mokami smiled, "Can you cook? You will have to cook for yourself in Musutafu.

"I don't know, but I can learn. " Nejire shrugged.

"Then I will teach you. " Mokami smiled as he held her next to him. "There are still a couple of months since the new semester, I will teach you until then.

"So long as I have you with me. " Nejire smiled back.

Nejire was the first girl to make Mokami feel this way. He felt she was his, and no one else's. He wanted to protect her from any danger, and tell her that he loved her.

He wanted to kiss her every day, hug her, and do many other things that he could do with her. But time was not on his side. He wanted to start their relationship a bit earlier, but he couldn't. Not when she was still young. Although he convinced himself that he was not an adult, he still wouldn't make a move on a child. He wasn't a crib thief... Well except for Eri, but that was different.

"Let's get you some pretty clothes. " He smiled and then walked to the store.

The school has nothing to do with it.

It was their first date, they held hands and kissed in a store.

It was the start of something good.

"Let's go and see a movie. " Mokami took all the bags and handed them to the chauffeur who was waiting nearby.

"Okay, what do you want to see? A classic or something new? " Nejire asked excitedly.

"Well, all the new movies are about heroes, and to be honest, I am a bit sick of them. Let's see a classic romantic movie. " Mokami suggested.

"Fine, but instead of a movie theater, let's see a play! I want to eat chocolate while watching a romance drama! " Nejire begged.

"Sure, let's do that. " Mokami agreed.

It was their first date, but it happened a lot of times after that. Whenever Nejire visited him, they always grabbed a chance and went on a date.

Mika and Eire also realized what was going on, and both were happy. Although Eire was a bit downcasted, she was still happy for her daughter. Mika on the other hand looked really thrilled about the idea. They had never talked with the kids, but the kids knew that their parents had already figured it out.

Nejire started learning how to cook from Mokami whenever they had time.  Although he wouldn't cook often, he had tons of experience in his mind, which literally made him one of the best chefs on Earth. He was too lazy to cook all the time, but when he did, the family would go nuts.

"Okay, Nejire. " Mokami put a pot on the stove, "We will start with cooking curry.

"Curry? What is it? I heard that it is spicy... " Nejire looked at him.

"Curry is a dish that has its origin in India, made with lots of spices, meat, and vegetables," Mokami explained. "I don't like spicy food, so instead of tomato sauce, I will use mayo.

"Mayo? What is that? " Nejire tilted her head.

"It's like a sauce made from egg and oil," Mokami explained.

"Oh, you mean mayonnaise!" Nejire giggled.

"What are you making? " Eri asked from the entrance.

"I will teach Nejire how to cook," Mokami said without missing a beat.

"... Did you say you are teaching her? " Eri took a step closer. "I want to learn too! Nii-chan, teach me!

"Fine, I can't say no to your cute face. " He sighed as he pulled a chair for her to see the oven. So, he taught two pretty girls how to cook curry.
