Ch7- Dolly

"Kaa-chan, I want you to hire a private tutor for me and Momo-chan to learn combat and how to control our Quirks better. I decided to become a hero and I am sure Momo-chan would want the same, so we can make the best use of our powers! " Mokami said with a resolute face.

He knew he was young, but he wanted to become strong so no one would be able to bully him and his sister. He wanted to help people who were in need. To do so, he needed power. But his Quirk wasn't combat oriented.  Although power-wise it was broken —after all, if they wanted they could create bombs to blast a building — it wasn't always most appropriate. In anime, Momo would create cold weapons to battle with them and had some mastery over them, but she was still weak. He didn't want anything like that to happen again. He wanted both of them to be able to battle even when they were stripped from their Quirks.

"I think that is a good idea. We'll talk to your father after you recover. We'll hire the best tutor we can afford. And I am sure your father won't mind. He too wants the best for you and Momo. " Mika smiled at her son. She was very happy to see her son like this, especially when he wanted to help others. After all, she couldn't force him to become a hero. She had to let him choose for himself. She was glad he chose to become a hero of his own volition.

"Kaa-chan... I don't want you to consult dad for every decision. You are a strong, independent woman. You have a company that makes hundreds of millions. You don't need him, and to be honest, I don't think he will come again soon. Please, can you try to escape from his control? For me." Mokami said with a serious face.

"B-But I am still his wife," Mika said, guilt evident in her tone.

"Kaa-chan, I know you think you are duty-bound to him, but you can't just let him walk over you. He treats you like an object and he doesn't respect you. You need to put your foot down and show him the world. Show him you are not a doll he can do anything with. I know you can. I believe in you, and I want to see you change. Please. " Mokami replied with begging eyes.

Mika was stunned. She didn't know what to say. This was not common for her son to speak this way. He was so mature and serious.

Mika looked at her son and felt a little bit better. Maybe it was good to have her son home. And, as a mother, she knew she needed to be there for him, to support him, and to make him happy.

"Okay... " She said, and her voice was filled with determination and confidence. This time, she wasn't going to let anyone stop her from doing the right thing.

"I promise you, I will also work hard. I will be the ideal mother and the ideal businesswoman.

"You already are. " Mokami smiled at his mother. "And I am sure you will achieve even better in the future."

Mika felt warmth once more in her heart. Her son had such a positive impact on her. She couldn't help but feel happy.

"Onii-chan! " At this time a yipping alerted them to the entrance of the kitchen. A red beam tore through the air and hit Mokami in the chest. Momo hugged him and cried in happiness. "I em sow gled yu ar kay Ni-cha! " (I am so glad you are okay, Onii-chan!)

"There, there. " Mokami patted her hair with a smile. "I am all better, so stop crying, okay?

"Mm. " Momo nodded.

"Dolly? " Mika called out.

"Yes, ma'am. " The little humanoid robot said as she walked into the kitchen. She was a meter and twenty centimeters tall with a gray body. Her head was square and she had a very expressive face. One could see her emotions, and Mokami wasn't sure if it was coded or if she could really express emotions. "Do you need anything?"

"What's that? " Mokami said in surprise as he saw the cute little robot.

Momo looked at the little robot and smiled. "Dolly is a gift from father. She is our maid and she does everything for us."

"Ohh, that's cool! " Mokami said with a big smile on his face. He liked robots, in fact, he was infatuated with them. "Can I play with her?"

Mokami saw that Mika had given the robot some clothes so she wouldn't be naked. That was quite thoughtful of her.

"Sure! " Momo said and ran towards the robot, pulling Mokami with her.

"But please be careful. She is a delicate work of art. " Mika said as she watched her children play with the little robot.

"I will, mom," Mokami said as he made his way toward the robot. Obviously, there were hands of I-Island and his father on it, but his mother probably helped as well. All in all, it was good that they had a robot now. He could even duplicate it by studying it. That would be interesting.

He could study it and find a way to make his own robots, even the more advanced ones because he could use his Quirk to create delicate parts even the current technology couldn't. But for now, he wanted to play with the robot. Once he was done, he could build a whole army of them.

A few minutes passed and the three of them were absorbed in their own little world. Mika stood there and smiled. She was glad to see her children play so happily together. She was happy that Mokami was back. She heard her son's laughter and it was music to her ears. She knew, after all this time, Mokami had grown up mentally. It was probably due to Momo and her. He wanted to protect them, so he lost his childishness and naivety. It made her heart tinge with pain, but she was also proud. Proud of her son!

"Moka-chan, Momo-chan, I need to go outside again," Mika said with a smile.

"Aww, mom. Please stay." Momo looked at her mother with sad puppy eyes and a frowny face. "I want to spend some time with you and Onii-chan and play with Dolly."

"I know, but I need to get something. I'll be quick, okay? " Mika said. "Moka-chan wanted me to hire tutors for both of you, so you two can become great heroes in the future. You would like that, right?"

"Yes! I would! I want to become a hero! " Momo jumped up excitedly.

"Mm, work hard. " Mika smiled and left.

"So, Dolly, can you be my maid, too? And you can take care of my sister? " Mokami asked the robot with a smile.

"Yes, master. Dolly will serve you and your sister. " The robot replied. "Is there anything you want me to do for you at the moment?"

"Well, could you bring some milk for us? " Mokami asked the robot.

"Hai, master. " The robot replied and walked towards the sink to grab some glasses.

"Thanks, Dolly," Mokami said.

Dolly walked toward the fridge to get glasses of milk when the doorbell rang.

"Ah, doorbell," The robot said and dashed toward the door, but crashed into it instead.

"Dolly, watch out! " Mokami ran to the robot and grabbed it before it hit the ground, but all that did was hurt his hand and make him drop the robot.

"Ugh! " The robot said as it fell to the ground.

"Dolly! Are you okay? Are you broken? " Mokami looked at the robot, worried. "Kaa-chan will get mad at me if you are broken.

"I am just fine. I am sorry for the inconvenience, master. " The robot said as she fixed herself up.

"It's okay. But be careful, okay? " Mokami replied.  "Also, the head butler will answer the doors, so from now on, ignore the doorbell unless you are asked otherwise, okay?

"As you will, master," Dolly answered and went back to the kitchen.
