Chapter 164. Payback Time
Succubi Chapter 164. Payback Time
Her expression didn’t mock me.
She just studied me carefully.
I sighed.
“So…”
I gave her my best innocent grin.
“Wanna bang?”
She slowly shook her head like I was the most disappointing creature in existence.
“How,” she muttered, almost to herself, “could I fall in love with you?”
I grinned automatically. “Because I’m Evan Drakos. Of course.”
I expected teasing.
Sarcasm.
Something.
But she just stared at me.
Long enough that my stomach dropped.
Did I screw up?
Did I trivialize something that mattered to her?
My brain replayed my words. They sounded worse now.
She stepped toward the door.
I thought she was leaving.
I thought I actually managed to ruin the mood with strategic stupidity.
But she stopped.
Then slowly, very slowly, a naughty smirk curved her lips.
She glanced at me over her shoulder.
“Yeah,” she said quietly. “I guess it is because of that.”
Before I could react, she spun and pushed me back against the wall.
My back hit the stone with a soft thud.
Her hand came up, bracing beside my head.
“Payback time,” she said.
I swallowed. “P-payback?”
Her smirk widened.
“Yeah. Let’s have a nice sex, Evan. Something that could make you beg.”
“I don’t beg.”
“We’ll see.”
And then…
Her aura shifted.
The air thickened.
Her pupils dilated.
A soft crimson glow traced along her skin like embers under silk.
Her horns emerged first. Sleek. Curved. Elegant.
Then her wings unfurled behind her, not fully expanded but enough to brush the walls of my room. Velvet dark. Edged in faint violet light.
Her nails lengthened slightly, not monstrous, just… predatory.
Her succubus form.
The temperature in the room rose.
The scent changed. Sweet. Heavy. Something intoxicating and dangerously inviting.
She leaned closer.
“You think this is about leveling?” she whispered.
Her fingers traced lightly down my collar.
“You think this is some strategy?”
Her wings twitched behind her, brushing the wall.
My heart started beating faster.
I kept my chin up.
“Isn’t it?” I said.
She smiled slowly.
“No.”
Her fingers slipped lower, stopping at my belt, but not undoing anything yet. Just resting there. Teasing the idea.
“This,” she said softly, “is about teaching you the difference between using something… and wanting it.”
My breath caught.
She pressed closer, her body warm against mine, her wings folding around us slightly like a private curtain of shadow.
Her hand slid up my chest, slow and deliberate.
“I am not your training dummy,” she murmured.
“I know.”
“I am not your shortcut.”
“I know that too.”
She tilted her head.
“Then say it.”
I hesitated.
Her eyes locked onto mine.
Not seductive now.
Serious.
“I don’t want you just for power,” I said quietly.
The air shifted again.
The tension became something else.
She studied my face for any trace of manipulation.
Then her lips curved again, but softer this time.
“Good,” she whispered.
Her wings brushed my arms gently. Her body pressed into mine with intentional slowness.
“And if we do this,” she added, voice lowering again, playful heat returning, “it will be because you want me. Not because you want XP.”
I exhaled slowly.
“I want you,” I said.
There.
No smirk.
No joke.
Just truth.
Her eyes flickered.
The system pulsed faintly at the edge of my vision.
[Emotional Intent Verified]
[Warning: Pride Resistance Lowered]
“Oh shut up,” I muttered at the system.
She laughed softly.
“You arguing with your system?”
“Yeah.”
She leaned in and kissed me.
Slow.
Measured.
Not rushed.
Her lips warm. Her aura wrapping around me like silk and fire.
Her hands moved up my shoulders, sliding along the back of my neck, fingers tangling lightly in my hair.
Her wings tightened slightly around us.
She pulled back just enough to whisper, “I’m going to make you lose control.”
“You won’t.”
She smirked.
Then her lips traced down my jaw.
Slowly.
Deliberately.
Not explicit.
Just enough to make my breath shift.
Her hands slid lower again, this time hovering on my waistband, maintaining eye contact like it was a duel.
“Still think this is about leveling?” she asked.
My voice came out rougher than I intended.
“…No.”
She smiled.
“Good.”
Her succubus aura pulsed, subtle but heavy, brushing against my senses like velvet heat.
And I did not think about XP.
Not about survival.
Not about power.
Just about her.
And maybe that was the most dangerous level up of all.
The room felt smaller.
Her wings framed the space around us, dimming the lantern light until everything turned softer and warmer, like we were standing inside a living shadow. The scent in the air shifted again. Not overwhelming. Just enough to make my skin hypersensitive. My pulse picked up without permission.
Her tail slid into view.
Slow.
Intentional.
It curled behind her like it had its own personality. Smooth, dark, ending in a pointed tip that twitched lazily before brushing against my thigh.
I inhaled sharply.
“Oh,” she murmured. “Sensitive already?”
“Don’t start,” I muttered.
Her tail traced higher.
Not explicit. Just there. A warm glide along fabric, along the line of my hip, dragging upward like a curious finger mapping territory.
I swallowed.
This was different.
Before, she was responding. Meeting me halfway. Reacting to my pace.
Now?
She was hunting.
Her tail curled around my waist lightly, then slipped free, brushing across my stomach in a slow arc.
It felt unfair.
Like she had unlocked a third hand.
“You know,” I said, trying to sound unimpressed and failing, “why do I feel like a virgin boy about to be violated by his perverted stalker.”
She froze.
Then her smirk deepened.
“Oh,” she purred softly, tail flicking again, this time sliding under the hem of my shirt just enough to brush bare skin. “You don’t know how long I’ve been watching you, Evan~.”
I cringed.
Actually cringed.
“That is not hot,” I said.
“It is very hot.”
“You sound like a villain monologuing.”
“I am Envy,” she replied sweetly. “And also technically trained in reconnaissance.”
That did not make it better.
When your assassin girlfriend casually implies she has been observing you for an extended period of time, you believe her. You absolutely believe her.
