On a dreary and stormy evening, the sound of raindrops pelting against the roof and windows of Stark's facility echoed through the empty halls.

Suddenly, a shadowy figure appeared, shrouded in darkness and meticulously scanning their surroundings for any signs of danger. Every step taken was calculated, every breath drawn measured, as the figure prowled through the facility with an air of quiet confidence.

Their eyes darted around, searching for any traps or alarms that might alert the security team. The figure knew that one false move could spell disaster, and so they moved with the utmost caution, taking care not to make a sound that might betray their presence.

With the traps and alarms successfully disabled, the shadowy figure advanced further into the depths of the facility. Finally, the figure arrived at the vault, where several of Stark's most valuable and coveted inventions lay in wait.

A sly grin spread across the figure's face as they realized their plan was coming to fruition. Without hesitation, they opened the vault and carefully retrieved each invention, handling them with the utmost care to avoid setting off any additional security measures.

With the loot secured, the figure made a quick escape, using the cover of the rainy night to their advantage. They darted through the corridors, avoiding any patrolling guards and utilizing their expert knowledge of the facility to make a clean getaway.

Reaching the sewers, the figure swiftly disposed of the stolen inventions, knowing that the rain would carry them away from any potential recovery efforts. With the job done, the figure jumped into the murky waters of the sewer and swam away into the night, confident that they had pulled off the perfect heist.

The morning after the theft, the illicit goods began flooding the black market, with Howard Stark's inventions at the forefront of the shady deals. The authorities, quick to respond, summoned Stark to appear before the Supreme Court, calling him into question and placing him under a cloud of suspicion.

In the eyes of many, Stark had become an enemy of the state, his once-sterling reputation now tarnished by the theft and subsequent discovery of his technology being used abroad. As the situation grew direr, the United States Congress convened a trial that lasted for three days, attempting to uncover whether or not Stark was a traitor to his country.

In the hallowed chambers of the Supreme Court, Senator Webster stood at the helm of a committee tasked with investigating the troubling allegations of treason against Howard Stark. All eyes were fixed on the accused, as he sat with an air of nonchalance, his gaze wandering around the room.

As Webster began to speak, Stark looked at the senator's shiny bald head and could not help but snicker. "May I ask a question?" he quipped, interrupting the proceedings.

Webster's patience was wearing thin, and he retorted sharply, "Not until you answer the question already before this committee."

Howard, seemingly bored with the whole affair, rolled his eyes and remarked, "It's been so long, I don't even remember what it was."

Webster took a deep breath to steady himself and posed the pivotal question, "Did you knowingly sell military-grade technology to enemies of the United States?"

Stark sneered in response, "Not knowingly."

Despite the gravity of the accusations, Howard's response was laced with sarcasm and levity. He attempted to brush off the allegations by denying any wrongdoing, even if the means of such denial were somewhat unconventional.

Inside the bustling office of the SSR, Peggy sat at her desk, poring over the latest edition of The New York Examiner. The front-page headline read "Stark Fails to Convince - Third Day of Testimony Expected," while a smaller article below it bore the title "Captain America Ally Yet to Explain Weapons Sale."

Peggy let out an exasperated scoff as she read the article, her mind racing with memories of her time serving alongside Howard Stark during the war. She knew in her heart that he was not a traitor, but as an agent of the SSR, she also understood the gravity of the situation at hand.

Despite her conviction, Peggy's opinion was met with skepticism by some of her colleagues. They belittled her point of view, making snide remarks about her relationship with Captain America and teasing her about being a "liaison" for the legendary hero.

As much as she wanted to dismiss their comments and defend her integrity, Peggy knew that doing so would only serve to further undermine her credibility. Instead, she remained stoic and composed, letting her actions speak for themselves.

The bustling office of the SSR fell silent as a brown-haired man strode in, his authoritative presence commanding the attention of everyone present. With a sweeping glance around the room, he wasted no time in delivering his message.

"Stark is selling military-grade technology to other countries," he declared, his voice firm and unwavering. "This makes him the SSR's enemy and the most wanted fugitive. I am going to assign several teams to locate him."

The news was met with a collective gasp from the agents, who exchanged worried glances as they tried to process the gravity of the situation. It was clear that the stakes had never been higher.

The man's gaze settled on one particular agent, and he spoke again. "Agent Thompson is going to be in charge of this mission."

Thompson, clearly taken aback by the sudden promotion, quickly composed himself and stepped forward. "I will do my best, Chief Dooley," he declared, his voice full of determination. As he strode out of the room, the weight of his new responsibility settled heavily on his shoulders. The hunt for Howard Stark had officially begun.

As the day drew to a close, Peggy decided to unwind with a refreshing smoothie at a nearby diner. As she went to pay her bill, she noticed a small note left on her table. Curious, she read the note, which instructed her to meet someone at the back of the diner.

Intrigued, Peggy made her way to the rear of the building. There, she was surprised to see Howard Stark, accompanied by his butler, Edwin Jarvis. Despite the gravity of the situation and the cloud of suspicion hanging over his head, Howard seemed calm and collected, even managing a small smile as he greeted Peggy.

"Peggy, my friend," he said, extending a hand. "It's good to see a familiar face in these trying times."

Howard leaned in close to Peggy, his eyes shining with urgency.

"Peggy, I'm leaving for Europe soon to track down my stolen technology. But before I go, I need your help. I need you to clear my name and find out who stole my inventions."

Peggy's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Why me?" she asked.

"Because I trust you," Howard replied simply. "And because I know you're the best agent the SSR has. You can find out who did this, Peggy. I know you can."

Peggy nodded, her mind already racing with possibilities.

"How did this happen?" she asked, curious despite herself.

Howard sighed a hint of regret in his voice. "I was in Monaco with a certain... companion of mine," he said, a twinkle in his eye. "When I returned, I found that someone had wiped my vault and stolen all of my technology. And now, it's turning up on the black market. I need your help to clear my name and find the culprit."

Howard leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Peggy. "There's something else I need you to find, Peggy," he said, his voice low and urgent. "It's a document. A formula, to be precise. The formula for Nitramene. It's a highly potent explosive, and it's missing from my vault. If it falls into the wrong hands, it could mean disaster."

Peggy nodded firmly. "I'll do everything I can, Howard."

"Good," Howard said, leaning back in his chair. "Jarvis will be at your disposal, should you need any help. Even if you don't think you do."
