Did Garp Just Say That?

His voice was quite loud, reaching the ears of every single marine, pirate, and even the celestial dragon behind the Marineford.

At this moment, all of them had the same thought in their minds.

‘Do you think you are Red Hair Shanks?’

But then they realized something.

‘No, you are even worse than him.’

It wasn’t that Luffy was bad. It’s just that his current feat surpassed even the likes of Shanks.

So, they naturally considered him worse than Shanks.

Mihawk’s lips twitched, Hancock raised her eyebrows while trying to control her heartthrob, and Doflamingo was holding back his anger and fear.

Only Liam had the urge to laugh. Because even Luffy knew he had no face in this war, but he still followed his idea and did it anyway.

Although he was sure it wouldn’t be accepted, he still found it incredibly proud.

Just looking at one hundred thousand marines on the ground, Liam knew Luffy had achieved the same strength as Shanks in Haki alone.

After all, he also had a God-Tier Devil Fruit whose power he hadn’t been able to show.

But it was also due to this Devil Fruit, he could contend against powerful fighters on equal ground.

Luffy was young, too young from the perspective of the world. At such a young age, he was able to achieve this level of strength.

It wasn’t just due to his talent but also his Devil Fruit.

This was a mythical Zoan. It didn’t turn into a mythical zoan after awakening.

It was always a Mythical Zoan. It’s just that the mythical person wasn’t an animal but a human with rubber powers.

So, why couldn’t he change forms before?

From Liam’s perspective, Nika and Joyboy could come from different races, but they must retain human form.

Only this way could they fit Luffy’s current Devil Fruit.

As for the incredibly stretchy powers, this could simply be the stacking of desires.

After all, the first person to eat and awaken this Devi Fruit was Joyboy.

In other words, it was with his death that the Devil Fruit became complete.

Nika gave the mythical zoan capabilities to the fruit while Joyboy increased its stretchy powers beyond the body, reaching the state of awakening.

That’s why this fruit had two different states.

Normal state, which could change based on gears, but these changes depended on a person’s imagination.

Awakened state, which had one form where the hair and clothes would turn white, gaining a cloud around their neck.

In the normal state, Luffy could pretty much endure most hits that didn’t have Haki on them.

Even when he was beaten to the extreme by the likes of Crocodile and Lucci, he still managed to get up.

That was the durability of the mythical zoan.

His ability to use Red Hawk, Thor Elephant, was a manifestation of the different elements that the mythical fruit could bring.

After all, not all fruit could bring elemental abilities, right?

Marco’s Phoenix Fruit couldn’t create lightning or ice. Yamato’s fruit couldn’t create fire.

In short, some mythical had multiple abilities while others had one or two at best.

Luffy mainly had rubber power, but it wasn’t an elemental power. His elemental power was manifested through Red Hawk and Thor Elephant.

For Luffy, the rubber body was a hybrid transformation where he could remain in his normal form while still retaining the rubber body.

So, most of Luffy’s strength had always been the result of his using the mythical zoan.

That’s also why, despite not training much, Luffy was still able to become Yonko at the age of nineteen in the original time.

This was an age still lower than when Garp was chasing after Roger and Roger was chasing after Shakky.

So, Luffy was the result of ‘Mythical Zoan’ + ‘Crazy Powerful Genetics’.

At least, that’s what Liam believed in.

In his mind, Luffy should give most of the credit for his strength to his Devil Fruit, just like him.

After all, Liam’s strength also came from his Devil Fruit. Even if he didn’t use his Devil Fruit like most people.

“Shut up, Straw Hat Luffy! Ace must be executed here, and nobody, not even you, can stop it.”

Sengoku’s expression turned ugly as he shouted at Luffy.

Then he turned towards Kizaru and said.

“Wake up, Sentomaru, at any cost, ask him to use Pacifista to send our marines back. They can’t withstand the upcoming war.”

“Oh! This is quite a trouble.”

Kizaru said as he prepared to move, but a dark lightning circle suddenly appeared in front of the execution platform.

When Luffy sensed this, he narrowed his eyes. He was almost ready to move, but he was also expecting these people.

After all, Liam had told him about Im, Gorosei, and Holy Knights in great detail.

At this moment, Liam stared at the circle and clicked his tongue as his thoughts wandered.

‘Tsk! Tsk! From Devil Fruit to Haki and now magic. Although it hadn’t been confirmed, it feels a little bad.’

‘One Piece power system was unique. It wasn’t unique because of the powers but rather how you get it and how you use it.’

‘Whether it was devil fruit power or Haki, there were many instances where weaker fruit could win against stronger fruit, and Haki wasn’t divided by age.’

‘Despite the fact that stronger fruit should stomp weaker fruit, and Haki was related to one’s Will and physical strength.’

‘Even Lucci’s Animal fruit was awakened while Kaido is still using his unawakened forms. Pica was forty while Zoro was twenty-one, but Zoro’s Haki was stronger.’

‘Kaido had superior fruit while Pica had more Armament Haki, but Lucci and Zoro beat them in fruit development and usage of Armament Haki.’

‘So, despite one’s Devil Fruit and Haki, the fights are still a lot more fun to watch. But with these Gorosei and Holy Knights, their regeneration makes it a lot less fun.’

‘Still, though if Oda didn’t have to finish One Piece faster and could write for longer, he definitely wouldn’t make Five Elder Stars easy to defeat.’

‘Even then, he would give Five Elder Stars to someone other than Luffy as an opponent. Luffy’s endgame opponent was bound to be Im or Blackbeard.’

‘I wonder if Luffy is ready to face these guys. He missed the lessons with Rayleigh on Conqueror Haki, but then again, his Conqueror Haki has grown significantly stronger.’

While Liam was busy thinking, Saint Saturn had arrived on the scene. He was using his Hybrid as he arrived with his cane.

As soon as he appeared, Saturn spoke.

“Pacifista, get the unconscious marines off the battlefield!”

When he gave those orders, Sengoku was stunned. He didn’t think Saturn was a kind person.

He considered humans nothing more than ants. There was no way he would let Pacifista help those fallen Marines.

He was even ready to let Kizaru do the job of waking up other marines and help those who couldn’t wake up escape.

At this moment, the damage hadn’t been done. Almost one hundred thousand marines could be saved.

So, obviously, Sengoku would do whatever he could to keep these marines safe.

“Garp, Sengoku, Aokiji, Kizaru, Akainu, attack the Straw Hats! Royal Shichibukai, you will help me and my colleagues stop Whitebeard Pirates.”

Saturn spoke with a strong, authoritative voice.

At this moment, Hancock was staring at Saturn with extreme hatred, something that only Luffy caught.

On the other hand, Garp’s eyes widened when he heard Saturn’s order.

If he were given the order to stop Whitebeard, he would do it. That was his job as a Marine.

But instead of that, Saturn actually asked him to stop Straw Hat, most likely to stop Luffy.

At this moment, Garp shouted.

“Saturn!”

Saturn angrily turned back and shouted.

At this moment, Garp raised his middle finger and said.

“F**k you, son of a bi***h!”
