Luffy’s Journey in Impel Down Part 20

This time, Luffy's Conqueror Haki surprised even someone like Bullet. After all, this Conqueror Haki was even stronger than his.

While Buggy did call Bullet equal to Rayleigh, that wasn't the complete truth. Otherwise, Marines wouldn't let Rayleigh live in Sabody for so long.

Not only because he could escape in the hands of the Marine Admiral, but also because they couldn't capture him with just a Buster Call.

Although there was a huge involvement of Garp and Sengoku, this wasn't the same as fighting Golden Lion Shiki.

That guy destroyed half of Marine Headquarters before he was put down.

On the other hand, despite a fierce struggle, Bullet was captured without any sacrifice or much destruction.

More importantly, Bullet couldn't even use Advanced Conqueror.

If Shiki couldn't use it because of his age and injuries, then Bullet wasn't able to use it because he simply couldn't.

So, his Conqueror Haki was far less compared to Luffy, who had mastered Advanced Conqueror.

That's also why Luffy was confident in subduing Bullet. Though that would cost him a lot of stamina.

After all, no matter what, Luffy's body was too weak to use Haki continuously.

His condition was similar to Golden Lion Shiki except in reverse.

But unlike Shiki, Luffy was able to improve his body to constantly use his Haki while also increasing its amount.

Luffy's Haki madę those prisoners tremble. Some of them even fainted on the spot.

After his outburst, the Level Six became silent.

"Let's go! We don't have time to waste here."

Luffy said as he put away his Haki. At the same time, he felt his stomach grumbling.

"I am hungry."

"You just ate four days' worth of rations for hundreds of prisoners."

Ivankov shouted upon hearing that.

Although Crocodile was stunned by his outburst, he suppressed his emotions and started using his powers to create a hole in the ceiling.

[Straw Hat, Ivankov, and Inazuma are all fruit users. Don't forget to have sea stone bullets ready!]

A voice came to the ears of those soldiers.

"We have arrived at Level Six!!!"

These soldiers were wearing gas masks and holding guns in their hands.

"Keep your guard up. We know the enemy is trapped in there."

"Huh?"

Suddenly, their attention was attracted to a strangely shaped structure that was carved into the ceiling of Level Six.

"What is this stone construction?"

"There is a gigantic hole in the ceiling…. Could it be that those targets are here? Get searching!"

At this moment, a deep voice came from a certain cell.

"You think they'd open a great hole and not haul their asses out of here, idiots?"

Those guards turned around and shouted in shock.

"Head Jailer Shiryuu!"

At this moment, a man inside the prison spoke.

"Well, what do you know… I guess you punks can't do a thing without me around. The sheer scale of this incident... You've brought shame on Impel Down."

"As for the three men you're looking for. After releasing Crocodile, Jinbei, and Douglas Bullet, they climbed straight through that hole, up and out to Level Five."

"Now, why don't you send a word to Magellan? That I'd be willing to lend him a hand!"

A sinister smile appeared on that man's face.

Monitor Room!

"Crocodile, Jinbei, and Bullet!" Hannyabal screamed.

"They are both missing from their cages." The soldier replied.

"In other words, we thought we had them trapped in Level Six, but they slipped out right under our noses? There are now six escaped prisoners on the loose somewhere on Level Five?"

"Would you say the responsibility for this will fall upon me?"

Hannyabal turned toward one of the soldiers and asked with a terrified expression.

"Since Chief Magellan is busy at the moment, I am afraid you would likely take full responsibility."

The soldier replied with sweat covering his face.

"Alright! I will face them myself! Recall all troops to Level Four!"

"Sadi-chan! Saldeath! Gather all your subordinates and hurry to Level Four! Even if you don't have any, just come here! This is a matter of life and death."

"I will become Chief Warden!!!! I mean to say… We will prevail in this battle!"

Hannyabal screamed while holding the microphone.

Level Five, The Freezing Hell!

"Is everybody ready?" Ivankov asked.

"Assuming we make it safely to the main entrance on the first floor, the real problem only starts there! We will be surrounded by the impassable calm belt."

"If we are to make it to Marine Headquarters, our only option is to steal a Marine battleship! Our most pressing requirement is the number. We must find ourselves more allies."

Hearing that, Luffy waved his hand and said.

"Leave that to Buggy! He has forged quite a good connection with the prisoner below."

At this moment, Buggy proudly stood up and patted his chest.

"Hahahaha! That's right. The Great Captain Buggy has hundreds of prisoners waiting for my command."

"It seems like you are not that useless, Buggy."

A deep voice came from the side.

When Buggy turned around, his eyes widened, and his body split into several parts.

"B-bu-bullet!"

He instantly rushed toward Luffy and held his neck, bursting into tears as he screamed.

"Why? Why would you scream at a monster like him? He will destroy us."

Hearing that, Luffy patted his shoulder and said.

"Don't worry, Bullet promised us that we won't fight until we rescue Ace."

Then, he took out the meat that Galdino had saved for him and started eating.

"You sure?"

"Hehe! What kind of person do you think I am, Buggy?"

Bullet walked straight toward Buggy. His presence brought too much pressure, but it wasn't directed at any moment.

Buggy froze in fear and ran behind Luffy.

"Anyway, we don't have time to waste here. Now, let us be off, Straw Hat Boy!"

Ivankov shouted.

At this moment, the entire team ran towards Level Four. The front was covered by Luffy, Crocodile, Bullet, and Jinbei.

"It's coming up to seven o'clock, right!"

"The execution is at three pm sharp!" Luffy shouted.

"They will be sure to take Ace-san's life at that exact time if at all possible! If Old Man Whitebeard is going to intervene, then he will almost certainly make his move hours beforehand!"

"Ace-san is out on the open sea, and the battle could break at any time!"

Jinbei spoke with a serious expression.

"It's only seven, right. We can reach there on time. As long as they don't kill him beforehand."

Luffy spoke.

"Door means nothing! This right hand of mine will turn them to dust!"

By touching the door, Crocodile absorbed the moisture on it, turning it into sand.

[Level Four]

"Shichibukai Jinbei escaped from Level Six!"

"Intruder Monkey D Luffy!"

"Former Shichibukai Crocodile!"

"And, the Demon Heir Douglass Bullet!"

"All four of them are here; we need backup."

"Shoot!"

Those soldiers started shooting fiercely.

Crocodile was completely unaffected. He simply let those bullets pass through his body and turned his right hand into a sand blade.

He swung his right hand and slashed forward.

[Sable]

"Fire Sea stone bullets!"

One of the soldiers shouted.

Luffy suddenly grabbed something on the ceiling and jumped above them.

While facing them down, he threw a barrage of punches, destroying all of them at once.

[Gomu Gomu No]

[Rain]

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

In an instant, most of those soldiers were down for good.

On the other hand, Bullet strolled around, smashing them with his fist, while Jinbei didn't even need to throw a punch.

"This won't work. We can't defeat them. We need to hold on till our reinforcement arrives."

The soldiers screamed, but they were defeated quite quickly.

At this moment, Ivankov took a different route and helped them quickly reach Level Two.

While Ivankov and others were busy freeing most of the prisoners, Buggy was making a loud statement.

"Come alone now, men! This is our ultimate chance. If you want to breathe fresh air once more, then riot like your lives depend on it."

"Let's go!"

"All right! Long live our savior, Captain Buggy!"
