Luffy Versus Akainu Part 5

[Roc Gun]

Luffy coating his hand with Armament and Conqueror punched forward with so much force that it destroyed the magma dog and punched Akainu on the face.

Akainu was sent flying several meters across the ground until he slid a few times and stopped on his knees.

Akainu's fingers pierced the ground as it started boiling with magma. His eyes were red with anger, and the ground began to shake.

"Straw Hat, I will end you here."

He slowly stood, and his body began to drip magma. The ground began to conjure a massive amount of magma.

The heat coming off him was distorting the air as it began to melt the ground into lava.

Seeing this, Luffy also became serious. In an instant, his body began to enlarge, and he entered Gear Fourth.

After his mastery over Haki, he no longer needed to blow air into his body. He just hadn't forgotten his habit, but right now, he was too serious to make his movements slow.

[Gear Fourth- Bound Man]

His body transformed into an overweight Luffy with a large upper body and short legs. He wasn't even able to stand properly.

Boom!

The ground underneath Luffy suddenly erupted into a volcanic blast, but Luffy had already disappeared from there.

He appeared in front of Akainu with his fist clenched inside before launching it forward on his face.

Splash!

Luffy's attack pierced through Akainu, not even hitting his body as his body dissolved right in front of him, and he appeared behind Luffy.

[Hellhound]

Akainu didn't hesitate for a second to launch one of his deadliest attacks.

But his attack didn't pierce through Luffy. Instead, it was blocked outside, but the impact of his attack did send Luffy flying towards the sea.

Fortunately, Luffy could easily fly with Gear Fourth and stabilized himself in mid-air.

'So, his Gear Fourth not only increases the tensile force but also the hardness of the rubber. Then, I will hit him with an even stronger attack.'

[Tiger Claw]

Akainu covered his arm with Magma hotter than before and swung his arm. He released a massive claw covered with magma and coated with Armament Haki.

[Gomu-Gomu No Culverin]

Bang!

Two attacks collided in the middle, creating a powerful impact that almost shattered the destroyed land.

Luffy used his Gear Fourth speed to travel across half of the island and reached next to Akainu.

His feet kicked Akainu on the face and slammed him towards the molten craters.

[Gomu Gomu No Rhino Schneider]

But when Akainu landed on the ground, he slowly disappeared, and a massive volcano erupted behind Luffy.

Luffy's Observation Haki triggered and gave him a short future where he saw Akainu launching a powerful fist through his chest.

Although he didn't know why Akainu was able to pierce through his Gear Four, he didn't stay behind to test it.

He released powerful thrusts from his legs and flew into the air.

Akainu did appear in the exact place, but since Luffy had already left, he didn't continue to attack.

Instead, he raised his hand towards the sky, and several different molten rocks flew towards the sky.

[Meteor Volcano]

Those molten rocks transformed into large fists and covered the sky above the island, almost making it impossible to dodge.

Luffy clenched his fists, and six different arms appeared next to him. Unlike when he moved his fist too fast, this was almost a real arm, just like how Zoro created Ashura.

[Gomu Gomu No]

[Kong Organ]

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

As he continued punching those molten fists, they began exploding in mid-air. Though Luffy didn't need to dodge those explosions continued punching until all of them were destroyed.

Upon destroying them, Luffy turned his gaze towards the other island as he heard a loud explosion even surpassing theirs.

The explosion was so powerful that it destroyed the island.

Akainu also saw the explosion and muttered.

"It seems like Borsalino is getting serious. I need to end my battle, too."

"Straw Hat, you are using your Haki too carelessly. But I don't have the patience to wait. So, let's end this battle here."

Akainu muttered as he clenched his fists together. A large amount of magma began to generate on his fists, which slowly moved around his body.

Unlike when he turned into magma, this time he was focusing magma outside his body, creating a sort of armor.

[Magma Body Creation]

[Heat Wave]

A small dot of red light emerged from his finger that traveled towards Luffy so fast that even with Luffy's Observation Haki, he didn't detect it.

Bang! Boom!

That pierced through his skin and entered his body, denoting from inside and causing massive damage to his internal organs.

"Argh! Gahh!"

Luffy felt an extreme heat and pain in his body. When it exploded into his body, he felt his organs churning as he couldn't stop himself from coughing up blood.

He had suffered serious injuries because of his carelessness and distraction, but also because Akainu had a new attack that could pierce his skin from such a far distance.

Akainu instantly disappeared from his position and appeared in front of Luffy in the air as his legs were constantly releasing flame to propel him in the air.

"Die, Straw Hat!"

[Crushing Red Lotus]

His hand turned into magma, and he simply punched forward. It was a straightforward punch, but when it hit Luffy, it pierced through his body, letting flame burst out from the other side.

Luffy was covered in flames, but he bore all of it. He clenched his fists, gritting his teeth and coating his arms with Armament Haki.

He caught Akainu before he could dissolve into the element and hide in the ground.

"No, not here, not against you, Akainu!"

[Gomo Gomu No]

His right hand began to inflate like a balloon, reaching even a greater size than that of a giant as he punched forward with all of his strength.

[Over Kong Gun]

Bang!

This fist struck Akainu on the face. The sheer level of disbelief was enough to explain how he couldn't understand why Luffy was able to move after getting pierced by his attack.

Yeah, his attack did burn his chest, and even his internal organs. But it wasn't enough to take down Luffy.

At least, it wasn't enough to take down Luffy, who was determined to take revenge for Robin.

Bang!

Akainu got slammed on the ground, several bones of his being crushed, and his body splattering on magma.

He was bleeding from his chest, nose, and mouth at the same time.

Whoosh!

At the same time, Luffy also lost control of his Gear Fourth and fell to the ground, losing all air inside him.

Thud!

But while he was landing, he couldn't help but remember his conversation with Robin.

'Robin, I am gonna destroy Akainu.'

When Luffy said these words, everyone around him was stunned, including Robin.

Unlike others, Robin hated Akainu to the core because of what he did to those people from Ohara.

Her hatred towards him was so great that even Luffy could sense it every time his name was mentioned.

So, one day, he talked about Akainu with Robin and learned more about him.

As much as Robin feared getting captured by Aokiji, she hated Akainu for killing those people from Ohara.

Knowing this, Luffy wanted to destroy Akainu for what he did to Robin's people. He didn't say kill because it didn't suit him.

'Luffy, you don't need…'

Just when Robin was about to say something, Luffy interrupted.

'He hurt you, Robin. I won't allow anyone to hurt my friends. And, you are my girlfriend. A long time ago, Liam told me that if he were strong enough, he would've fought Arlong with everything he got for Nami.'

'Now that I am strong enough, why can't I do the same? I know Liam regrets missing out because they weren't in a relationship during that time. But we are.'

'And, I don't want to miss out and regret it later. I am going to fight Akainu, and I am going to destroy him. Because he messed with my girlfriend.'

When Luffy remembered his words, he said to Robin, he could grit his teeth to keep his eyes open.

Even with the wound through his chest and several burned skin, he stood up and closed his eyes.

'It's in there. I need to find it and release it. Where are you? For her, for my brother, for my crew, I need to find it and awaken it.'

Luffy started searching for his Devil Fruit inside his body. He mobilized all three of Haki at the same time, and continued to search for it.

It was hidden, somewhere in his body, but he couldn't find it.

Until he focused his Observation Haki on his Observation Haki. It stemmed from his forehead, and when he focused on it, he found a dark space.

A space where he saw a fruit, an image of a fruit that he ate.

At this moment, a new kind of energy flowed out into his body, and a white cloud appeared behind him and floated around his neck. His heart also began to ring like the sound of a drum.

The sound was melodic yet free.

Dhak! Dhak!

His body began to change as his clothes and hair turned white. His body started melting like a rubber and he subconsciously placed his hand in front of his face and started laughing.

"Hehahahahahahahahaha"
