Liam’s Arrival
"Big News! This is the biggest news of the year, surpassing even the previous news."
"By the way, how is the printing process of the previous newspaper?" Morgan asked while slapping his feather-like arms on the table.
"Sir, we have finished printing, but is it okay to spread this news? After all, the World Government restricted us from printing this kind of news without their permission."
One of the workers asked.
"News doesn't belong to them. It belongs to the masses. It belongs to the people. We are not only the reporters but also the entertainers. Our job is to entertain people."
"Only the news of this caliber can entertain people. We must spread this news as far as well."
"By the way, we will spread this news this morning, and the news about the Straw Hat Luffy punching the Celestial Dragons and facing the Two Admirals tonight."
"We must make people feel excited for tomorrow's news."
Morgans shouted in excitement, as if adrenaline was flowing through his veins.
He knew this was a risky move, but he didn't care. He took this job to entertain people.
He was the DJ of the newspaper. It was his job to do whatever it took to make people feel excited.
And, there was no news better than Luffy punching the Celestial Dragon to a near-death state.
It could be said that Morgans was lucky that his reporters didn't become casualties of Luffy's attack.
Not only that they also got some real-time information about Straw Hats. Like how the Straw Hats were waiting for the Marines' arrival on Island 1.
Thinking about it, he couldn't help but doubt Straw Hat's motives.
He knew Marine's motives. With his birds flying all around the Sabody and Marineford, he had already seen the Marine ship approaching the Sabody.
Although he didn't see CP0 agents and Pacifista before, he saw the Admirals, which was enough for him to understand the Marines' motive.
They wanted to attack the Straw Hats, but they had already done it with their previous attack on Enies Lobby.
So, he didn't understand why they would use a similar configuration. Especially since they didn't even bring enough Marine soldiers and high-level Marines.
Just two Admirals shouldn't be enough to defeat the Straw Hats.
At least, not after their battle with Kaido.
While an admiral might have the power to fight an Emperor on equal terms, an Admiral couldn't win the battle.
On the other hand, if the Admirals were truly serious, then the Emperors had more chances of winning the battle than the Admirals.
Otherwise, if every single Admiral was equal to the Emperor, they didn't need to prepare so many forces just to fight the Whitebeard Pirates.
Liam had felt it firsthand. So, he knew he wasn't at Emperor Level yet, but he had the power to fight any Admiral to a stalemate.
Even if they used their Awakening.
Knowing this, Big News Morgans was curious about what forces did Marines brought to destroy the Straw Hats. He was surprised when he found the existence of CP0 agents.
These agents had no choice but to come out when they found the situation of the Saint Charlos.
Considering the power level of CP0 agents, he had the feeling that they might not be able to win against the Straw Hats with these people alone.
So, he had been working a lot to put more and more cameras around the battlefield. After all, this was Sabody, and he had pretty good connections here.
While Morgans was busy with his news, Sanji had gone to check the distance of the Marines' ship from Sabody.
After checking the distance and seeing the action of Kizaru, he immediately flew back to Sunny and informed Kuma.
Kuma nodded and disappeared.
Few seconds, he was already floating in the sky, next to Liam. Liam was wrapped in a bubble, but his eyes were open wide.
When he saw Kuma, Liam released his Armament Haki and broke out of the bubble.
[Geppo]
Before he could fall, he started kicking the air and floated next to Kuma.
"What happened? I shouldn't be that far from Sabody." Liam asked.
"Captain punched Celestial Dragon to near near-death state. Kizaru and CP0 agents appeared on the No.1 Island. Kizaru has left with the Celestial Dragon, but CP0 agents are already here."
"And, Sanji also found Akainu using Geppo to travel." Kuma replied in one breath and slapped Liam on the back.
The next moment, he also slapped himself on the back.
In an instant, they appeared on Island No.1. Because they were very close to Sabody, Kuma had no problem using this ability to teleport Liam.
On the other hand, there was one thing that Liam must do before the battle starts.
"Alright, where is he?"
As soon as Liam appeared on the island, he checked the surroundings and rushed toward the crew. He saw everyone in the middle of the island.
Some were sitting, some were standing, and some were talking.
"Liam!" Nami got excited when she saw Liam, but someone was faster than her.
Sanji threw Kid to Liam and nodded.
"Alright! Usopp, follow me."
Liam nodded and rushed toward the ship using Soru. Usopp had no choice but to follow with a similar skill.
Although he wasn't as good as Liam, he was fast enough.
The next moment, Liam placed his hand on Kid and released the bet. He didn't need to kill Kid because this process was going to kill him.
He didn't need to kill Kid, but he planned to do it anyway.
The reason was simple.
The moment Kid felt like he could fight an Emperor, he decided to target Red Hair Shanks to get his revenge.
During the process, he almost destroyed most of Shanks's ship. He would've done it if Shanks couldn't see the future in time.
Kid might not be good enough to threaten Straw Hats, but he had Willpower and reason to destroy anything related to Straw Hats after this encounter.
So, it was better to end him once and for all.
Kid wasn't like Rob Lucci, who had hatred against him. He was simply just afraid of Kid's potential.
No matter how much one could make fun of Kid, it didn't change the fact that he achieved the level of strength in two years that someone couldn't achieve in their lifetime.
Originally, he planned to give Blueno's fruit to Usopp, but he quickly realized the Kid's fruit had a lot of sniping possibilities if used correctly.
So, he decided to give this fruit to Usopp, who had amazing sniping abilities. It would also help him fight properly in melee battles.

(A/N- This chapter made me realize that Liam didn't take Lucci's Devil Fruit, but I used that in their battle against Kaido. So, let's just assume that was Blueno's Devil Fruit.)
Liam released his Conqueror Haki and released a small portion of his Luck. With these two alone, he was completely able to take Kid's power.
But that wasn't going to be enough. After all, Kid was a monster. If his vitality was passed on to him, he would have a better chance in his next battle.
So, he pressed forward his full power of Conqueror Haki against the Willpower of the Devil Fruit and Kid's Conqueror Haki.
When the two collided, his Conqueror Haki easily overwhelmed Kid's unawakened Conqueror Haki.
At the same time, his luck also overwhelmed Devil Fruit's Willpower as two different cards appeared in front of him.
Kid's body became older and weaker. His arms and legs turned thin and weak.
Thud!
He fell on the ground, still unconscious.
"Did you succeed, Liam?" Usopp cheerfully asked, without even caring about Kid.
Just like Luffy, he also understood Liam's intention. So, he decided to become more cheerful and suppress his kind side.
If Luffy accepted this action because he didn't want to lose one friend while saving another.
Usopp simply accepted it because he knew Liam cared for him and wanted him to have strong power to survive.
After traveling with the Straw Hats and facing so many powerful enemies, he knew the importance of strength.
Especially as the only remaining ordinary person on the ship.
Yes, Liam was no longer an ordinary person. His role in the ship was even greater than Luffy's to a certain degree.
So, he wouldn't let this action sadden his heart.
"Here!"
Liam threw the card at Usopp, who took it and broke it. The next moment, a powerful energy flew into Usopp, which was none other than the power of Magnet Fruit.
On the other hand, Liam also pressed the other card and felt a powerful vitality flowing through his body.
In an instant, a massive energy burst out of him.
Boom!
