Luffy’s Determination

"But, that's not the case. Those doctors from Ohara and scientists like Vegapunk have proved that our world is three-dimensional."

Robin frowned and retorted.

"That's exactly what I meant. What if it was a problem of perception? In our perception, we see things in a certain way and use science to prove it."

"Once it is proven, we use it to get a certain result in our experiments. But why don't we ever question why it was proven right?"

"It's like like calling a fruit 'Apple'. From our perception, we have been calling it Apple because it is the name that has been used for generations."

"It has stuck with us. We don't question it. What if Liam sees our world in 2D and sees his world in 3D? But for us, this world is 3D. So, should we accept our perception or his perception?"

"If we accept our perception, that means Liam might not be outside the book. If we accept his perception, why does he have so many emotions and free will?"

Saying that, Sanji turned toward Luffy and said.

"Captain, we are not sure what we are dealing with. This could either be all ruse or simply impossible. It could either force us to face a powerful enemy or the world."

"If it's just a powerful enemy, we can get stronger to fight it. But if it is the world, can we continue with our actions? Because that would lead to the destruction of the world."

Hearing that, Luffy didn't understand much, but he did understand one thing.

He gave Sanji a serious look and said.

"Sanji, I love heroes, but I will not become one. I don't care if this world is destroyed. I just want my friend back."

Hearing his words, the seriousness in Sanji's eyes disappeared as he chuckled.

"Yes, Captain! We just want our crew back."

Luffy smiled and nodded.

"That's right. Now, enough of that talk! I am hungry, Sanji."

"Yes, yes!"

Sanji chuckled and walked toward the kitchen.

Bonney also didn't understand much. She raised her hand and said.

"I'm hungry too."

"Your food will be ready soon, Bonney-chan!"

Sanji's foot turned into a whirlwind as he rushed to cook the food.

"Luffy, until the very last moment, let's not talk about this to Liam."

Zoro, who had been silent for a long time, spoke.

"But if we ask him, can't we understand his situation better?" Nami immediately raised an objection.

"Because Liam has made up his mind. The moment he decided to save Ace at the cost of his disappearance speaks of his determination."

"So, what we need to do now is to focus on saving Ace. Only after saving Ace can we talk about his situation." Zoro replied.

Luffy thought for a moment and nodded.

"Yeah, I don't want Liam to feel sad. Since we have made up our minds to bring him back, we will do it. We can just ask him before he disappears."

"Luffy, did you feel his disappearance?" Robin curiously asked.

Luffy nodded his head.

"Sanji should've felt it too. His body partially disappears as if he weren't present. I thought he was training to block his presence from Observation Haki."

"Is that even possible? Doesn't that mean Observation Haki is useless in front of those people?"

It was the first time for Law to hear something like that, so he immediately questioned.

Luffy replied.

"Shanks can do that. I didn't know it before, but Liam told me. He also used Conqueror Haki to talk to you before."

"So, it should be possible. That's also why Shanks is as strong as Kaido despite not having a Devil Fruit."

"When I fought Kaido, I realized something. Despite having all three advanced forms of Haki and high mastery of my devil fruit, my strength was not even close to Kaido."

"Even after that battle, I should only be equal to Kaido. And, Kaido hasn't even awakened his Devil Fruit."

Luffy didn't know Kaido's strongest move, so in his eyes, he was equal to Kaido in terms of strength.

But when Kaido uses Drunken Eight Trigrams, then he would understand Kaido's strength.

Law thought for a moment and said.

"If that's the case, with speed and strength like yours, he should easily be able to deal with anyone weaker than you."

Luffy thought for a moment and replied.

"Unless they can withstand a full blow of Conqueror-coated attack, Shanks should be able to deal with anyone with a single strike."

"Ahem!"

Robin made a sound and instantly attracted their attention towards her.

"Anyway, since Liam is disappearing slowly, we can ask about his situation while we are in the Marineford, right?"

Luffy raised his eyebrows and asked.

"Where is that?"

"It's the Ace where they are going to execute him. They want to execute him in front of the world for some reason. They also want to fight and destroy the Whitebeard Pirates."

"Luffy, I know you want to save Ace. But we shouldn't try to save Whitebeard. Because this is a strategic attack from ...…"

Just when Robin was about to continue, they noticed a ship closing in. It was Buggy's ship with the Straw Hat flag waving on top.

"Buggy!"

Luffy instantly forgot about Robin and shouted at Buggy.

"Captain Luffy!"

Buggy jumped to the deck while stretching out his arms.

It wasn't easy to earn his respect, but despite his careless attitude, Luffy managed to earn Buggy's respect with his strength.

It was also thanks to Liam giving most of the treasure they got from Sky Island to Buggy.

Of course, it was also an expenditure for the Straw Hats Railway.

"Luffy!"

Alvida came flying towards him, but before she could reach him, Robin's arm appeared in mid-air, caught her, and threw her into the sea.

Robin walked next to Luffy and caught his nose. She saw how Luffy was carelessly going to let Alvida hug him.

But as his lover, she wouldn't let that happen, especially since Alvida was in love with him.

"You are not allowed to hug her, understand?"

Luffy instantly saluted her and nodded.

"Yes, Ma'am!"

Originally, he thought Nami was the scary girl.

But he soon realized the person that he found scary the most was Robin, especially when she was angry.

That's also because he loved her like a lover instead of a crew.

Because of that special feeling, he didn't want to make her mad under any condition.

"Wow! I never thought you were that kind of person, Captain."

Buggy's jaw almost dropped to the ground. He clearly remembered what kind of person Luffy was.

That's exactly why he couldn't understand how Luffy was able to make hot girls fall in love with him.

You know, Buggy had seen just how cruel and arrogant Alvida was in front of other guys.

He didn't get much respect from her. If he weren't strong, she wouldn't even look at him.

So, he couldn't imagine how someone as hot and strong as Robin would fall in love with Luffy, to the point of being jealous of some other woman hugging him.

"Puff! I never thought you would get so jealous, Robin."

Seeing this, Nami chuckled.

"Because someone here doesn't care about other people's feelings." Robin pulled his ear, adding a bit of Armament Haki to her finger as she pouted.

That kind of expression looked a bit strange in the face of someone as intellectual and beautiful as her.

But it didn't look bad.

Suddenly, Alvida, who was soaked in seawater, walked toward Luffy and Robin with an angry gaze.

She pointed her finger at Robin and asked.

"You woman, why did you throw me into the sea?"

"Because you are lusting after my man." Robin embraced Luffy tightly and stuck out her tongue at Alvida, which made her a little cute.

Because of Liam's intense training, Luffy had grown a bit taller, almost as tall as Robin.

(A/N- This height change was something I added.)

"I'm sorry, Alvida. I can't love you because I am already with Robin."

Luffy also understood that he couldn't be with other women since he had accepted Robin's confession.

He also didn't want Robin to feel bad by acting carelessly towards other women's love, so he decided to reject Alvida.

"You————— Wahhhhh!"

Alvida got so stuck that she couldn't even get a proper sentence out. Although she was playful towards love, her love for Luffy was real.

Especially after their last encounter. Her love/lust for Luffy grew even more.

Now, seeing all of that break into pieces, she started crying.

She couldn't even bear to stay in the ship, as she ran back to their ship.

Robin watched all of it happen with a straight face.

'Sorry, Alvida, but since I have decided to be his lover, I won't share him with anyone. This crew is no longer an asylum for me.'

'It is my home and Luffy is the man I love.'
