Battle of the Emperors Part 5
At the time of watching One Piece, Liam was confused. He didn't understand why Luffy would lose so easily.
As he learned about Advance Conqueror Haki and Advance Armament Haki, he was able to find the differences.
But he had never experienced it. So, he always believed that Advance Conqueror Haki was just an amplification.
He didn't understand what that Amplification meant.
Now, he does.
If a person with the force of 4 used Advance Conqueror, his force would improve to 20. At least, it would be a five times improvement in strength.
But if a person with a force of 20 used Advance Conqueror, his would improve to 100.
At this moment, he understood why Kaido called his Willpower weak. It wasn't just because he had no dreams.
It was also because Liam didn't go through hardship to obtain his Haki.
Talent aside, Luffy went through battle after battle, unlocking different Gears and different forms of Haki.
Even then, Luffy wasn't able to fight Kaido at his fifty percent. He had everything except for Gear Fifth.
This was simply because Luffy's base strength was still too weak compared to Kaido.
Luffy had learned a lot in his journey, but he was still a beginner. He had barely traveled in the seas for four months.
These four months might have been enough to give him different forms of strength, but it wasn't enough to increase his base strength by a lot.
If he hadn't used that medicine, Luffy would've been barely stronger than Katakuri despite learning Advance Haki forms.
If Luffy had been this bad, Liam's condition would have been even worse.
Because, unlike Luffy, Liam learned Haki through cheating and a little bit of hard work.
The only hard work was when he learned Advance Armament. Except for that, he didn't work hard.
So, even with so many techniques, Liam's base strength was several times weaker than Zoro and Sanji.
"Luffy, it seems like we were too arrogant." Liam exclaimed as he felt a little bit of relief in his chest. His healing ability was working, but it was too slow.
Of course, he hadn't gotten stronger, which improved his healing capacity; it would've taken hours to recover.
"Interesting! Even though both of you don't have Zoan devil fruit, your recovery is faster than normal Zoan devil fruit users."
Kaido spoke as he walked in front of them.
He was considering how he should continue. He could probably take down both of them with ease, but they weren't going to war.
"Of course, if we didn't even have this ability, we wouldn't have fought you." Liam replied.
"I don't think you can fight me one-on-one," Kaido spoke.
Liam looked at Luffy and signaled him.
Luffy had a strong determination to fight Kaido on his own, but at the same time, he didn't want to risk the death of his crew.
If they were cornered, he would've no hesitation fighting Kaido one-on-one, but they had a chance to fight him together.
Seeing Liam's intention, Luffy decided to suppress his desire. This was what he learned after being together with Liam.
Suppress his desire and release it when the time comes.
"Then, let's go together!"
Liam nodded, and both of them prepared themselves. Luffy instantly entered Gear Fourth, while Liam also entered his strongest state.
[Fire Demon Mode- Blazing Fire God]
As his blood boiled and his Armament Haki coiled, his body erupted into flames.
"Worororo! Is this the move you used against that guy Kuzan? It might be useful against him but not me."
"Are you sure, Kaido? I have learned new moves for this mode."
Liam was bearing too much burden in his body. This move not only consumed his Haki but also a terrible amount of his stamina.
On top of that, he was going to use other moves that would result in a serious consumption of power.
Thankfully, he had found a solution for that. Liam took out a bottle from his pocket and drank.
Energy Potion!
It was something Chopper created after their battle against the Admirals.
He was the only one who realized just how much his crew's top powerhouses lacked stamina during the battle.
Of course, Liam also realized that, but he didn't have any solution. Zoro and Luffy were stamina beasts, while Sanji also had a lot of stamina, and he rarely went all out.
So, the only one who felt the lack of stamina was Liam and Chopper.
So, using the materials from the Haki potion and combining his ideas on medicine with Sanji's knowledge of food, Chopper managed to create a potion.
It was a simple potion that could potentially help someone stay without food for two months.
Of course, for someone like Luffy, it would barely work, but for normal people, it was one of the best inventions, especially for Sanji.
After all, Sanji was one of the few people who had suffered terrible hunger.
That's also why Sanji worked extremely hard on this project and helped Chopper make this potion in just two days.
Feeling the energy from the potion, Liam felt like he could fight for ten days.
But then he remembered the terrible consumption of this mode and decided to fight for three days.
Since Liam and Luffy entered their strongest state, Kaido did a similar thing.
He entered the peak of his fifty percent power, even reaching the boundary before his drunken state.
At this moment, their Observation Haki was scanning the future. Luffy and Liam had a close connection in their Haki.
So, even the future they saw was several times faster than Kaido. In an instant, both of them appeared next to Kaido from both sides.
Kaido also saw the future a little bit late.
He swung like a beyblade, swinging his mace around. The Armament Haki and Conqueror Haki-coated mace struck both Liam and Luffy.
But Luffy and Liam also struck Kaido with their attack.
Splash!
If Luffy's punch caused some damage to Kaido, Liam's slash tore his skin. The extreme heat generated by his blade almost burned his blood.
[Demolishing Wind]
Kaido jumped and swung his mace downward. Several powerful wind blades emerged from his mace.
Liam slashed those wind blades with his sword while Luffy just dodged them.
At the same time, Kaido rushed toward them and moved his hands extremely fast. In an instant, he had sent dozens of attacks with his mace.
[Kundali Dragon Swarm]
It was similar to his previous attack, except it had a more concentrated range and target.
The mace was attacking from so many directions that Luffy had to release one of his strongest attacks to fight back.
[Hundred Arms Cannon]
Luffy stretched his hands and started throwing them so fast that hundreds of different hands appeared next to his arms.
This was similar to his Kong Organ attack, except it was more hands.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Those two collided, creating powerful shockwaves around them. Kaido grinned and increased his speed, but suddenly, his Observation Haki caught a sneak attack.
At this moment, Liam appeared behind him and slashed at his back. At this moment, Liam was a speed demon.
Splash!
"You....."
[Evening Elephant- One Feet]
Kaido wasn't even able to process the information until the attack had already hit him. The blood gushed out of his back as he got distracted.
But Luffy took advantage of his distraction and punched with even greater force.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Several of his attacks landed on Kaido. Coating with Advance Conqueror and Advance Armament, his punches were able to cause some serious damage.
Thud!
Kaido was thrown several meters into the ground, but this was Kaido.
An almost unkillable being.
He immediately stood up, but before even he could react, a flash appeared in front of him, and a sword sliced his chest.
[Two Foot]
Before Kaido's Observation Haki could work, Liam appeared from the other side and slashed his sword once again.
Splash! Splash! Splash!
[Three Foot] [Four Foot] [Five Foot]
As three more slashes appeared on Kaido's body, Liam stopped.
It wasn't because he wanted to stop but rather because he had no choice but to stop.
That move cost too much of his Haki. With just five attacks, his Haki was depleted completely.
His Fire Demon Mode also stopped working, but it was okay.
Not because Kaido was injured but because this was the best he could do in this battle.
"Hiss!"
Liam screamed and fell to the ground. His body started to heal quickly.
In the meantime, Luffy jumped toward Kaido and sent a barrage of fists.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Enough!"
Kaido was already suffering from Liam's attack.
How could he let Luffy continue attacking him? He roared and transformed into his dragon form, creating several large-scale tornadoes around him.
"Cough!"
But as soon as he finished this move, some of his dragon scales opened, and blood poured out like rain. He even started coughing blood.
'That brat. If his Haki wasn't so weak, the heat of his flames would've caused more damage than that Akainu's Magma.'
'How did he enter such a powerful state? Was it the result of his devil fruit or something he created on his own?'
'Damn it, I am enjoyed but there is no Sake to enjoy.'
"Waaaaaa!"
Suddenly, in front of the dumbfounded looks of Liam and Luffy, Kaido started crying.
