Battle of the Emperors Part 2
"Wororo! You two want to fight me?"
[Hot Breath]
The massive Azure dragon came down from the sky and opened his large mouth. This dragon was none other than Kaido.
Its body was similar to an Eastern Dragon, more like a snake. But it was majestic, with flame clouds around its foot, sharp scales around its body, and large horns on its head.
As he opened his mouth, a massive blast of flame erupted from his mouth. It moved like a gigantic energy cannon, melting everything in its way.
"Luffy, let me!"
Liam stopped Luffy, who was ready to fight back and unsheathed his sword. He stared at the upcoming blast and raised his hand.
Snnn!
The Armament Haki coiled around his arm and attached to his sword. The sword turned dark purple as he pulled his hand down.
[One Sword Style- Flame Cutter]
Whoosh! Bang!
His sword released dark purple sword energy, which moved toward the flames. It split the flames in half before moving toward the gigantic dragon.
Boom!
The split flame exploded in the middle as his sword energy reached the dragon and got dispersed the moment it hit.
"Sure enough! Only attacks infused with Conqueror Haki can hurt him."
Liam spoke as he placed the sword back into its sheath.
"Shishishi! Hey, Kaido! Take my attack."
[Gomu-Gomu No]
Luffy immediately ran toward the gigantic dragon as his body swelled and entered Gear Fourth.
Several large bolts of black lightning emerged around his hand as he punched forward.
The gigantic dragon didn't let him hit. He instantly returned to his human form and charged forward.
Kaido was holding a large mace. The Armament Haki and Conqueror Haki coiled on his mace as black lightning charged on it.
[Red Roc]
A large number of flames gathered at Luffy's fist, followed by several bursts of black lightning.
[Thunderclap Eight Trigrams]
The purple lightning coiled around Kaido's move showed a domineering effect, destroying the ground underneath.
Bang!
Kaido also dashed forward, their Observation Haki giving each other the perfect location of their enemy as they clashed.
When they clashed, the flames and lightning didn't even get to touch each other. A vortex emerged between their attacks as the black lightning generated from the collision spread out.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The black lightning began destroying the ground and splitting the sea. Even the dark clouds above their heads were separated by their collision.
'Clash of Conquerors!'
Looking at the cloud that was split, Liam couldn't help but feel amazed and bitter.
Although he forced Luffy and the Crew to do training most of the time, it did prove to be useful.
Not to mention the crew, Luffy had already reached the peak of this world. He might not be the strongest and might not even be able to defeat Kaido on his own.
But he was sure that Luffy or this crew wouldn't suffer like in the original timeline.
Unfortunately, he wouldn't be here to enjoy the smooth sailing.
Because he had changed so many things, he would pay a price, and that price would take everything away from him.
A few seconds later, that bitterness in his eyes disappeared, replaced by a stronger determination.
He had already considered the consequences of changing the future. Even if he was able to save himself by putting things back to normal, he wouldn't do that.
He had always asked himself one question.
Why did he come here?
Why did he come to this world? He was just a normal person living in a normal world.
He shouldn't be in this world, much less in the world of a fictional pirate manga.
So, why exactly?
Sometimes, he even questioned his existence and even thought it was a dream.
But after he began to suffer the consequences of the changes he brought, he realized this world was neither a dream nor a fiction.
It was a real world, a world that was far away from normal humans and the normal universe.
Maybe there was some secret of the universe he didn't know about.
But it didn't matter. Because he was satisfied with what he did.
After changing one more thing, he was going to leave.
Thinking about it, Liam took a deep breath and focused his eyes on the battle in front of him.
Bang!
A fist and a mace collided, creating a large shockwave, flames, and lightning.
If Luffy and Kaido hadn't kept their attacks above the ground, the island beneath them would've split in half.
Several rubbles tried to push him away, but Liam stood tall.
He was holding the sword in his hand, ready to fight Kaido at any moment.
Luffy was enjoying this battle. Although every time Kaido seemed to have a stronger impact on him, he realized his fighting strength was growing.
They had only fought for two minutes, but neither wasn't able to cause damage to the other.
Suddenly, Luffy's eyes flashed with red light. His Observation Haki worked even faster as he dashed next to Kaido and smashed his fist forward.
Bang!
Kaido didn't let his attack reach him. Turning into his Dragon Form, he created several large tornado around him.
[Dragon Twister]
These tornados worked as a defensive barrier, stopping Luffy's fist from advancing.
Seeing this, Luffy frowned and pulled back his fist. He didn't see this coming.
Although he had been fighting Kaido on equal terms, he quickly realized his shortcomings.
His Armament, Physical Strength, and Conqueror coating was stronger than his.
Kaido also seemed to have a similar level of Observation Haki as him.
But he had one advantage over Kaido.
It was Internal Destruction.
Kaido wasn't even using Emission. Although he didn't know why, he knew Kaido wasn't using Emission and Internal Destruction.
He was relying on Advance Conqueror to inflict.
But with an equal level of Observation, he wouldn't get a chance to launch an attack on Kaido.
Suddenly, he blinked his eyes, and a large smile appeared on his face.
He bounced in his Fourth Gear and dashed toward Kaido. Kaido used his Future Sight to see Luffy's movement, but the only thing he saw was a simple attack.
Yes, Luffy dashed in front of him and punched out.
The compressed fist charged forward while Kaido also swung his mace.
Kaido subconsciously used a normal attack when he didn't sense any Conqueror Haki on Luffy's fist.
But this fist still carried Armament Haki, especially Emission and Internal Destruction.
Bang!
With the help of Emission, Luffy managed to push away Kaido's mace, and his fist continued to charge forward.
Suddenly, several black lightning bolts emerged around his fist, and his punch landed.
Bang!
Kaido felt an immense force on his chest. He instinctively used Armament Haki on top of his tough skin, but this attack contained Advance Armament Haki.
Luffy's Armament Haki pierced through his skin and entered his body, destroying him from inside.
Normally, it wouldn't be so easy. After all, Kaido not only had a strong body but also used Armament Haki.
This was where Advance Conqueror came in use.
Because of its unique ability to improve his strength, Luffy's Armament Haki managed to break Kaido's Armament and destroy him from inside.
Thud! Cough!
Kaido was sent flying several dozen meters, crashing through the forest and landing on the other side of the island.
As he rose from the ground, he spat out blood and returned to his human form.
He used his left hand to wipe the blood and stared at it for a moment.
Then, a large smirk appeared on his face.
"Finally! Someone who can fight me."
He stood up, and the damage in his body started recovering. This was the advantage of having the Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit.
His recovery was faster than most people could inflict damage on him.
That's why he couldn't be killed.
Kaido was skeptical of Luffy's strength. But considering Admiral's strength, he decided to fight at his fifty percent.
After all, only when drinking could he bring out more strength. Without drinks, he could only perform at fifty percent, but with drinks, he could perform at eighty percent.
Of course, without even drinking, he could perform at a hundred percent, but that was his trump.
Luffy, at this stage, wasn't worthy of using that trump card.
So, besides not using a hundred percent of his power, he wasn't even using more than fifty percent of his strength.
"Worororo! Monkey D Luffy, let's enjoy this battle."
He understood Luffy's smile. This wasn't going to be an easy battle but rather something very enjoyable for both of them.
In a simple jump, he appeared in front of Luffy with his mace slamming down.
Of course, Luffy wouldn't let him attack. His feet tapped the ground, and his body blurred.
In an instant, he appeared next to Kaido. Because Kaido was still attacking, he quickly noticed Luffy, but he was too late to dodge.
As his mace struck the ground, Luffy smashed his face with his feet.
[Gomu Gomu No]
[Rhino Schneider]
Bang!
