9. A Chill Wind

You awoke, feeling stiff and cold. Your bed flames had long since gone cold, and a chill wind was blowing into your chamber, making the water ripple. You stretched, trying to shake some warmth back into your limbs, but it was hopeless. You were after all, when it came down to it, a lizard. Your flames were purely magical, you had no inner furnace to warm you.

Luckily, that was easily solved. You exhaled another cloud of flame into your bed until the stones made the air above them waver.

Whoops, might have overdone it.

As you now needed your bed to cool down some before you would be able to lie back down, you softly padded out into your entranceway to check on Sapphire.

Her skin was pale, and she was shivering desperately, totally unprotected from the mountain air. You gently shake her, and she jerks awake with alarming speed, going from asleep to upright and groping for her bow in seconds, before she notices you.

“Wh-what’s wr-wr-wrong? Are we und-under att-tt-tack?” she shivers out. You shake your head at her.

“It’s cold, and you won’t make it through the night out here. Come on. I won’t have you freeze to death when I can do something about it.”

She follows you, unresistingly, until you clamber back into bed. She curls up nearby, back to the warmth of the rocks. You snort at her.

“They don’t keep the heat that long.”

Gingerly, she clambers up to the very edge of your bed and curls up tightly, but you can see the effect the heat has on her as her back untenses and her skin slowly returns to it’s healthy hue. You slither your tail up and poke her with it, so that she turns to look at you. You raise one wing invitingly.

“Tomorrow, we’ll get you a bed of your own, and try and get some furs. For tonight, just take the warmth.”

She nods, and you can see her stiffen up again as she slowly crawls towards you. You know what she is thinking. It can hardly be the first time someone has ordered her to share their bed for ‘warmth’. You cross your forelimbs as she gets closer, and gently lay your wing over her, trapping warm air against her body. It takes some time, with you lying very, very still, but slowly she relaxes once more, curled against your arms. You snake your neck around and under your wing, cocooning her with your body, and before long you drift off again, using your wing to keep the chill away from both of you.

When you awake again, it’s to weak sunlight dappling through your wing, tinting everything you can see in a rosy light. All you can really see however, is Sapphire, lying against your torso, moving slightly. You’re about to alert her to your wakefulness when your nose catches a familiar scent.

Arousal.

You suppress a twitch as you realise what the tiny kobold is doing. With one hand clasped across her mouth and her eyes tightly closed, she is gently rubbing herself. You watch, entranced, as her legs start to quiver. The light, filtered through your body, gives the whole affair a much more intimate air, as if this is a private show for you, and you alone. As the quivering gets more intense, Sapphire grabs hold of your arm with the hand that had been covering her mouth, and presses her forehead against you. The need for the muffling hand is quickly apparent as she lets out a series of high pitched, grunting moans. Before you know it, she bucks, hard, and lets out a long, low whine that tapers off to panting as she cums, her thighs clamping hard around her hand as she twitches through the aftershocks.

You give her a few moments to collect herself, shutting your eyes, before letting out a long yawn and blinking your eyes open, shifting your body far more than you normally would in the mornings. By the time you remove your wing to let in less filtered light, Sapphire is looking at you as if she too is just awaking. You struggle to ignore the wave of air, heavy with her scent, that rolls out of your cocoon as your stretch.

Without warning, you dive into the pool of water, enjoying the chance to bathe, and slake your thirst at the same time. The water is kept magically fresh by whatever strange mechanisms Lairs work on. When you surface this time, Sapphire is supping water from one of her cupped hands and form the smell of things, has also bathed.

You want to talk to her about what you witnessed. Hell, you want to bend her over and fuck her, but you know that with Sapphire, that would be worse than counter productive. Instead, you pull yourself from the water next to her, and list the days tasks for you both.
