Bright Idea
"Edrick! The Ba- You are bleeding" Shu was distracted as noticed blood on Anoteros's neck.
"I certainly am, that bird woman sure is feisty for someone with hollow bones" without wait, he put his hand against the inner disciple's back and pulled him along to the exit, the opening of it brought in a blinding light, although it had felt like endless hours, they hadn't remained there for that long, the sun was still bright out.
Exhaling, Edrick noticed that his breath was visible.
It seemed that they were nearing the winter season, and from what he had heard, the seasons were no joke in this world, although they were a bit more random, which called into question a lot of things, as this implied that it wasn't, at least not completely, dependent on the earth's axis.
But questions about the fabric of reality could wait for later, he probably should get his residence better insulated fast, he wouldn't want one of his prized possessions catching a cold within the safety of his home, that would just be a bad look.
He stretched a bit, he had gone through a pretty tiring event just now after all.
"Huh… You didn't break her bones, right?" asked Shu, looking back toward the bar.
"Me? Breaking bones? Who do you take me for? She's just missing some feathers, is all…" Edrick smiled as though thinking about something funny.
"I-I see… Hum, the barman spoke to me about something…" he explained in as much detail as he could, making sure that no one was close enough to hear his murmuring voice at several points throughout, especially when mentioned the criminal charge associated with the special good the barman had offered.
"Docilis Succubus? Never heard of it" Shu could not spot a smidge of a particular reaction on Edrick's face, whether or not he was actually interested was a mystery, seemingly more curious about what a 'Docilis Succubus' was.
"Well… I don't really know the specifics either…" admitted the inner disciple, he had heard the two terms togethers before and did not have a clue what made that particular kind of succubi so desirable.
Anoteros just shrugged.
"I'll check it out the next time I come" he dismissed the whole thing like talks of buying a slave were as trivial as purchasing a loaf of bread.
"Though, from how he spoke about it, she would be especially valuable to a dual cultivator… Are you one?"
"What's a dual cultivator?"
"Heh? Well… A dual cultivation technique is one that involves, you know, doing the deed whilst training it…"
"Ah, I am not, there wouldn't be any of such techniques at the Myriad-Arm Sect" he casually stated, it was true, dual cultivation was viewed as vulgar, especially since it rarely actually involved benefits that went both ways, one of the participants would typically hoard everything to the misery of the other.
Had Edrick stumbled upon one of such techniques, he certainly would have at least given it a thought, but that was not something he had access to at the moment.
Afterward, Anoteros had Shu show him around Oie some more before going back to the sect and ditching the inner disciple, although not after reminding him to get him the items on the list.
For the rest of the day, Edrick practiced his two body cultivation techniques, ending up as a stinking, hairy beast by the end of it, somehow, it seemed like the hair growth was getting more and more pronounced, it was already heavy the very first time, but was starting to get even more sasquatch-like, than the actual sasquatches used as a basis to develop this technique, on top of that, he was starting to notice other effects on top of the stench and fur, which weren't supposed to occur.
Like, he would suddenly feel very inclined toward hiding after completing his cultivation session, as though wishing to emulate a mountain sasquatch and not be seen by others, but such thoughts and wants that weren't his were always easily squashed, though, another thing that would occur is his scaleless serpent suddenly rising up as though awakened, Edrick didn't quite see how that related to a sasquatch though, being solitary apes that did their best to remain undetected, they only mated on a rare occasion once a year, and always in swift manner as it risked leaving them exposed.
So perhaps it was the work of the other technique, which also showed effects, which was especially strange, it wasn't supposed to cause anything at all, and yet it did, Anoteros felt that his jaw in particular was growing stronger and seemed capable of opening wider than before, he also felt like dipping in water, another desire that was clearly not from him.
Guardian hippopotamus had less information about them than the sasquatch though, at least when it came to what they were up to in their day-to-day life, so perhaps that sudden rise in libido was due to it as well, in any case, that was hardly an issue, Anoteros knew how to control himself, and he always had three eager wives who did not mind at all if their husband was a hairy beast, in fact, Linmin in particular seemed quite fond of it.
The second wife enjoyed the bestial look despite prefering to be treat with tenderness, perhaps the gap in between the looks and actions was what truly interested him, Edrick couldn't be sure, since even Linmin seemed to not be certain what he found so enthralling about the whole thing.
"Aah… Lord Anoteros… Is it me, or your thing has grown a bit larger?" questioned Fanqia laying on her back in the grass, her chest heaving up and down, rubbing her sides as Edrick was truly merciless when he grabbed her chubby bits, he would hardly let go after latching on, which always made his first wife feel like something was missing when he finally retrieved his hands.
"Did it?" he wondered, his voice deeper than usual, he could probably make an immaculate impression of an ape if he wanted right now.
"I concur, it is slightly more lengthy and somewhat wider" precised Linmin, laying on his stomach.
"I didn't notice anything in particular on my end, though that smell is intoxicating~ I feel like going crazy" Hui stuck her face right against his chest, catching a good whiff of a smell that made it seem like Edrick had just rolled in animal carcasses seconds ago with how strong it was.
His third wife had come to find something to life very much about his sasquatch-self after cultivation, currently fasterned to Anoteros's chest using the long hair that had grown upon it.
"Heheheh… You could probably go into the woods and do whatever you want looking like this… As long as no one but us knows that you end up like that after cultivating the technique, who could possibly link a rogue sasquatch to you?" she added, all the while giggling, probably getting high off the rancid smell somehow.
Edrick blinked, grabbing her chin.
"That's a nice idea you just got there, Hui… Smart girl" he rubbed her head and spoke like she was a dog, which was precisely how she preferred to be praised.
