Dark And Unsavoury
Edrick’s visit to Cult Of The Heart Of Darkness was a rather unusual one. His older Alrinir had told him about how people were there, but hearing and experiencing were two very different things. They were formal and respectful for sure, but incredibly cold and seemed to lack all forms of emotion.
The disciples, elders, and even the sect leader all looked like pale dolls… The paleness was to be expected, as they spent their time in both natural and unnatural darkness, but the soulless stares and deliveries seemed more like a way of life than a direct effect of their training.
He had seen some outer disciples who had joined recently, and the difference was quite noticeable. Not only had they not yet turned as pale as sheets, but they were also clearly struggling with maintaining the sect’s idea of decorum.
The leader of this sect was called Vlesper, and was a young-looking man whose manner of holding himself betrayed an advanced age. Apart from the fresh outer disciples, he was the only one who displayed a slight bit of emotion throughout Edrick’s visit. He slightly smiled for a second at one point, and by the time they were done speaking, his eyes shifted slightly with what had seemed like gratitude.
What little he had shown had been vivid and easy to understand... Anoteros felt like this was the point of their emotionless display. The emotions they did end up projecting were clear to their interlocutors, allowing them to communicate with odd efficiency when necessary.
The deals the scion and sect leader came to ended up being quite basic, but they had seemingly been a source of great joy for the sect leader. Certainly because visits were scarce. Even Zhenluo–Who was learning the techniques of the sect–Wasn’t exactly a common visitor.
Edrick supposed that things probably got quite lonely, especially since Cult Of The Heart Of Darkness was actually hidden away in what first appeared as a natural cavern. One needed to venture into an absolute darkness that swallowed and destroyed all light to be able to enter the actual sect grounds.
Anoteros quite liked his visit, even if he didn’t get the chance to bed anyone there. Clearly, they were a bit frigid when it came to amorous affairs, so he didn’t push beyond his typical honey-laced words directed at anyone he found to his tastes.
His charisma had had no effect, which was a shame. He had been quite interested in testing just how well one of them could maintain their cold decorum whilst having their insides rearranged by his mighty club.
It would have to wait for another day…
Nearly immediately after visiting Cult Of The Heart Of Darkness, Edrick found himself at the foot of Xiaode Mountain Sect–A sect that anyone ‘in the know’ avoided ever visiting for fear of being associated with some of the darker happenings taking place there.
Anoteros had been visiting all of the vassal sects, so it stood to reason that he would do the same for Xiaode Mountain Sect.
The sect was more in line with how Xiaolie often described ‘typical’ cultivation sects. It was situated on a mountain with several different peaks and areas. The way up was only a single flight of stairs, which appeared unguarded, but since the gates opened on their own when he approached, Anoteros could only assume that guards were nearby.
He didn’t pry with a spell or otherwise, and instead stepped in with his hands behind his back. No one was directly around, but he immediately spotted a small figure hopping down the stairs toward him.
The figure was humming a song in a pleasantly small voice and behaving in a manner so cute that most would feel compelled to scoop the girl up in their arms. However, Anoteros was pretty good at recognising certain traits, so he knew that he wasn’t dealing with an Immunubil or Bloomin.
This was an ‘artificial’ Rococoli. He didn’t know exactly how he knew that she wasn’t a natural one, but he supposed that it was thanks to having Yaling at home.
“Greetings, Young Master Anoteros! Are you feeling alright? Did your travel tire you? The way to Xiaode Mountain Sect can be a bit arduous at times! Would you like to eat something? Maybe you would like to relax in a medicinal bath, or… Maybe you would like to ‘eat’ me~?”
Edrick smiled.
‘She’s a Rococoli, so…’
“I wouldn’t mind eating you, Miss, but I wouldn’t want to be too distracted from the original purpose of my presence here. I have a lot to speak about with Sect Leader Jolie”
“Heheh~ I see that the Young Master knew I was a Rococoli immediately. Sect Leader Jolie told me that I should show you around first thing. Do you mind me giving you a visit, Young Master?”
“Not at all, Miss…?”
“Millia. I am an elder of Xiaode Mountain Sect!”
“Miss Millia, I’ll be letting you guide me, then”
Anoteros was used to youthful ‘elders’, but here, it was on a completely different level. Especially since it seemed like they did their best to act according to their looks, which was dangerously alluring to Edrick’s secondary brain.
‘Mmh… There’s no way your average Immunubil or Bloomin has such a well-defined figure… Those are some nice hips, with a plump ass, too…”
He ogled Elder Millia shamelessly, and if she noticed it, she wasn’t making any effort to stop it.
To Edrick, it was clear that there was a difference between Rococolis and the ‘real deal’. The former typically had shapely proportions that would be unusual and rare in the latter. It became evident as he followed Millia into the areas with actual traffic.
Disciples were abundant, and while some had clearly not yet taken the leap to transform, many were Rococolis–Some artificial, some natural, and some of them were also clearly not Rococolis, despite having the height to match.
‘Bloomins and Immunubils… So many of them’
Though most of the artificial ones went for looks that were what was often expected from the typical Immunubils and Bloomins, some instead went for the appearance of late Bloomins.
Bloomins close to losing that title. Indeed, although most people would pat themselves on the back and claim that they wouldn’t even bed Bloomins, the vast majority actually found their favoured range to be late Bloomins. At the stage where it could be reasonably said that they already seemed to no longer be Bloomins, but were still youthful.
Most commoners actually got married as late Bloomins. Which was probably why it was that period that was considered most attractive by most.
As for Edrick… He looked around at all the members of Xiaode Mountain Sect currently around, and couldn’t help but find them all to his taste…
