"Hey Linmin, what do you think of some goat meat? I read that it boosts libido in men"
"La- Fanqia, although the idea does indeed sound attractive… I must once again question the source of your information, that is regular goat meat, could it really have any such effect? Especially on Lord Edrick, his libido is already exceptional, there could be double of us and he still would beat us in stamina…"
Whilst their husband was busy with another woman, Fanqia and Linmin were roaming the busy streets of Oie, the market was busy and always present, bustling with people and merchants, some regular faces, some passing through…
Oie and its sister cities, Poule, Canard and Caille, were all great trading hubs as well as production cities as well, Oie stood closest to the capital, Leynrex, and served as a conduit to trade toward the domain of the royal family in person, so what was available around the town was incredibly diverse, ranging from run-of-the-mill stores, to places were only the abundantly wealthy could possibly set foot.
The region was rich, Canard had access to an enormous lake, which might as well be called an ocean as it was partly salty and was linked to many rivers and other bodies of water, in fact, there was a tightly guarded, wide river that could lead directly to the true, vast ocean that went right through and underneath the mountains surrounding the country, enabling naval trade, as small of a business as it was due the dangerosity of deep waters.
Caille instead had access to mountains that were different from those serving as both natural borders and defensive walls for Leynlornd, they sat in the middle of vast expanse not so far from here and enabled the gathering of a great variety of materials, even with the mad mining projects and near constant presence of workers there, it was said that resources had barely received a dent.
As for Poule, it was instead situated near a great forest, which its how trover of materials and goods, most prominently, wood of course, which was also barely decreasing even with the lumberjacks employed by businesses did not even try to replant trees, this country was obviously not the only only one with such magnificent natural resources, but Leynlornd had multiple of them, in short proximity and in areas without much dangers at all.
So naturally, coupled with its excellent location, the kingdom thrived like no other nation of Cangea.
Though, such concerns weren't of much importance to Fanqia and Linmin right now, they were trying to buy some groceries for the week, although there were three of them at the residence, they had to account for the fact that their husband was basically two man, if not three, in one and had a ravenous appetite that was only exacerbated by his constant and limit-pushing training, it would only increase when he began cultivation for real too…
There was also the concern of possible guests, or perhaps even a new addition to the household, they both knew very well how enthralling Edrick was, if he set his sights on acquiring a new wife, he would do so without hesitation.
"Mmh… I suppose you are right, mundane aphrodisiacs are unlikely to be effective, he is too big and strong… And because of the sect's rules, we can't buy alcohol- Oh, what a wondrous thing it would, a drunken Lord Anoteros! In what manner would he have his way with us, in such a state, I wonder?" with sparkles in her eyes, Fanqia was seriously wondering about the possibilities.
"Well… He probably would want us to drink with him, and I don't think I can handle alcohol, I would probably just go limp on the floor after a single swing…" although Linmin tended to appear as the voice of reason, he shared Fanqia's enthusiasm about such ideas.
"...Anyways, I doubt that what might work to spice things up would be allowed within the sect, we can't be caught breaking any rules, that would put shame on Lord Edrick's shoulders… What do you think about that deer meat we saw earlier? Lord Edrick enjoys trying new food"
"Sounds good"
As they casually spoke, the vendor was literally just standing there, having gone still after understanding what their conversation was about, not wanting to move lest it was noticed that he had overheard, but the two wives did not give a single damn and politely said goodbye before walking to another vendor.
"Wonder who this lord is… Must be a big shot" his colleague walked up and spoke up.
"Obviously, any guy who bangs two beauties like that is a hero in my book, but seriously, he isn't even there and they are thirsting over him… My wife glares at me like I am a war criminal when I come home, I wouldn't want to know what she says when I am not even around" the man's colleague laughed and slapped his back.
"Aw, it's just tough love- And you already gave her children, too late to back away now"
"Don't remind me…"
When Fanqia and Linmin stepped out of the marketplace, the servant-wife was carrying two big bags filled with all sorts of food, as well as spices and the likes, some things could be easily conserved for a long time, so they might as well buy in bulk right now.
"Are you sure you don't help with that?"
"I am fine, now let's go over there" Linmin pointed to the side.
"You mean this shady alleyway?"
"Shady? It's not shady, shaded at best"
The alley in between two buildings wasn't home to random trash and rats, it was just a better concealed portion of the city, no typical shop would want to be out of the sight of people walking on the street, except for those whose clients would rather not be seen.
"Oh, I see! You want to buy accessories and toys? I read about those… Though, is there anything available that Lord Anoteros can not do better?" Fanqia stroked her chin, her elbow rubbing up against her bosom by the same occasion.
"I was more so thinking about… Well, let's say, some special outfits and garments… The sort you wouldn't find in regular places" Linmin suddenly felt embarrassed, a feeling that only got worse as they entered and laid eyes upon what this place had to offer.
Imagining himself dressed in that was rather weird, but most accessories weren't really useful, Edrick preferred to do things all-natural with them.
Looking around this small shop, Linmin stumbled upon a small shelf with rather lewd cultivation techniques, calling them that felt like an insult to the entirety of cultivation however.
One in particular however, caught his attention.
'Flesh Sanctum Purification? A technique created by an ancient foppoof-loving monarch for his harem?' he read the description.
'By the heavens… And so cheap?!'
"Pleasure Eel Pore Opening Technique… Look at this, isn't it incredible?" Fanqia had shown up in the same spot at one point and also noticed something of interest.
"Dear heavens… Fanqia! I know that we can not lie to our lord, but we must somehow keep the surprise until we actually can learn these techniques- We should keep them for his birthday, it's in around half a year, that should be enough time…"
Fanqia saw no problem with this, a surprise for the lord sounded like a great idea.
