The Hunter And The Looter
The dull sound of knuckles crashing and shattering a jaw was swiftly followed by a body hitting the ground, accompanied by the expected spitting of blood and broken teeth. A few more strikes rang out into the quiet forest before Linfeng rose, wiping sweat and blood off his forehead–Only one of which belonged to him.
“Damn, you do realise that it would be faster to just break their neck when they are incapacitated, right? Or do you just enjoy beating the skulls of people into pulp? With how filthy it is, I can’t imagine that it is worth the trouble”
Linfeng casually stretched his arm, causing the articulations to pop as he turned to Mala, who–Much like a vulture–Was already crawling around, stealing from the corpses of the bandits Linfeng had just killed.
It had been a massacre. This group had been noticeably stronger than Mala’s group had been. However, even since Linfeng had experienced his lustful state of berserk, his progress with his two techniques had accelerated. It also seemed like with every fight, his power increased by a clear margin… Though it came with the side effect of provoking a rise in libido as well.
Thankfully, he had Mala to help take care of that.
“If I keep hitting them, then I don’t run the risk of them pretending to be dazed by my previous hits and attacking by surprise. This way, I am sure they can’t do anything sneaky… Why are you criticising my methods, anyway? You seem to be just fine with looting everything despite hanging back the entire time”
“...Hey, I’m already letting you have sex with me every day. Can I not enjoy the spoils of war? You don’t even know how to properly loot! When I see you trying to collect the good stuff… It pains my heart to see such an amateur at work!”
“Hearing you, it sounds like you don’t enjoy it… But you moan like you’re in heat every single time”
“Shut up! Try having your prostate pounded, and you’ll tell me if it doesn’t make you act weird!”
“To the point of agreeing to kiss during the act?”
“...Just shut up, alright? You just don’t get it! Anyway… Help me flip over this fat bastard. He’s their boss, and he should be carrying his cultivation technique with him! It’s a weird one as it fattens its user, but it is quite good and should sell at a high price”
“As well informed as always, huh?”
“What? Do you think I was a fighter when I was in my own bandit group? No, I was a scout and informant! The best of the best, might I add! In the underground information network, I am quite respected, I would have you know”
“Is that so? Who would want to buy such a technique, though? It didn’t feel that strong…”
Mala rolled his eyes as Linfeng approached and easily flipped the dead body of the bandit leader over. The man had indeed been quite agile despite his size... He hadn't been the usual kind of fat warrior. Usually, those had a layer of fat, but beneath, they still had developed muscle.
It was mostly a matter of maximising their weight… But this guy was truly all fat, whilst being tall and large as well, making him quite an imposing figure. Nonetheless, Linfeng had still defeated him without exerting himself much.
“You only think that because you were much faster than him. You literally scaled the guy and punched him in both ears at the same time. If you weren’t so much stronger than him, you wouldn’t have been able to outpace him, and you would have actually gotten to see how much damage he could soak up without problem. This fucker was known to be capable of handling a charging bull without doing anything”
“Is that so?”
“That is so! He was said to be basically immune to damage! He was a bit of a big deal amongst the bandit community of Leynlornd. He wasn’t the strongest, but his defences allowed him to take a spot and form one of the more effective bandit groups”
“Effective?”
“I hate it when you speak like this… Yes, effective! Seems like they got into some pretty big fights. There should have been way more of them. We should be careful. Not only are there bandits all over the forest, but this place itself is honestly giving me bad vibes”
Linfeng nodded. He had also been feeling like this forest was a bit off. The trees were tall and spaced out, and coupled with the fact that it covered a huge span of land, this place felt suffocatingly vast. The deeper he and Mala went, the stronger the impression of oddness became.
However, Linfeng couldn’t help but feel attracted to this oddness. It was as though something was waiting for, or calling out to him, deeper into the forest... But since the system wasn’t making a fuss about it, Linfeng could only assume that he wasn’t being tricked by some sort of mind control.
‘Right, System?’
Correct, if you were getting controlled like this, I would zap you
‘You can shock me?’
Only in case of emergency, of course!
“Aah… Jackpot! Fat Accumulation Method, huh? I expected a more flowery name for it… It might not sound very attractive, but it's a rare technique that many people would want to own, regardless of whether or not they actually want to cultivate it”
Mala hugged the manual with a smile on his face. The twink was definitely in love with money.
Like the expert that he was in this domain, Mala robbed everything he could rob, organising it all in a neat manner so that as much of it could be packed in the smallest space available…
The routine for the two of them had been simple: They would go into the forest and seek bandits to deal with.
Linfeng would gain strength by using his abilities in actual fights, whilst Mala would take care of selling everything off when they returned to the town where they were staying. They had accumulated quite a lot of money already, but Mala didn’t seem to be thinking about leaving, despite having more than enough money to leave the country, as he had originally hinted at wanting to do.
Which was good for Linfeng. He still needed the twink to warm his bed and take care of his restless equipment.
Speaking of which…
“This fight was actually quite intense… I am feeling it rising already… Mala, why don’t we do it right here?”
“In the damn forest? In the open?! Are you crazy, you crazy bastard?! No fucking way, it’s not only dangerous, but humiliating and gross! There are bloody remains all over the place! And didn’t we already guess that there were people looking to collect corpses as well? I don’t want weirdos looking as you pound me!”
“How about a quick blowjob?”
“I don’t suck your dick usually, so what makes you think I’ll do it in a fucking forest of all places? Besides, you’re freaking covered in blood and gore right now! You’re not touching me until you’ve taken a bath”
“Alright, alright… Don’t complain about it later, though. The longer I have to wait, the more lustful I’ll be”
“I doubt it can be worse than the first time”
“Worse? You loved it”
“Shut the fuck up”
