A Duo Is Born
“What is it with you?”
“I’m the one who should be asking that… I thought you would be at least a little mad about what happened yesterday, you know? Things sort of went off script… Aren’t you a little bit upset?”
“I am upset! Definitely! But… Huh… Listen! You slaughtered my entire bandit group and basically made me unemployed. I doubt I can get back into another bandit group at this point! The others might recognise me, and I would rather not deal with the possible bad blood my old gang accumulated. So… I guess I’ll take another job”
“Which is…?”
“You muttered about a few things after we… Did stuff... You said that it was best to have sex with men for your technique. Is that right? Well… Give me a little bit of money, and pay for my basic necessities, and I’ll follow you around! You’ve already used me once like a whore, so messed up for messed up, you won’t mind doing it some more, right?”
“I’ll admit that I am a twink, and a very feminine one at that. I was reluctant to use any of that before, but now that you’ve pounded me once, I guess I can go through it again for something in return… Deal? I am basically the least masculine man you can get your hands on right now. Besides, I would like to get my arm fixed”
“Huh…”
Linfeng looked up and down at Mala. The young cultivator would rather not admit it, but the system had been right. Even now that he wasn’t lost in a state of uncontrollable lust, he still found the twink alluring to the eyes. He had tasted the forbidden fruit and enjoyed it. His mind might want to refute it, but his mind and spirit were adamant about his profound enjoyment of it all.
Perhaps it was because this had been his first time, but most likely, the system had just been right on the money. As he often was…
“Sure, I guess that’s good. But I hope you’re ready for it. My ‘needs’ will probably keep getting stronger and stronger, so you’ll have to take a lot”
“I’m ready for it–I mean… As long as the price is right, I’ll do it”
“Right, then we should probably buy you some proper clothes. Your bandit attire smells like boar shit”
“...You better not make me buy anything girly. I am willing to put my twinkish services to use, but I still want to be treated like a man by other people!”
‘It will be difficult with your cute face and long hair…’
Linfeng kept these words to himself as he felt like they would upset Mala a fair bit due to how true they were.
In the end, Linfeng got Mala to buy a few sets of new clothes. Although the twink seemed satisfied, it was undeniable that he totally looked like a pretty girl, even though he had bought traditionally male clothes. Even by taking baggier clothing to conceal his feminine curves, it actually ended up working against what he wanted, by making it seem like he might actually have breasts due to the space it created around the chest area in particular…
So while Mala concealed his round butt well, he created an even bigger problem with his ‘disguise’... But being a nice fellow, Linfeng advised him to buy a cloak to throw on top of it all and actually conceal everything better.
He still had to deal with his soft facial features and long hair, but at least, if he used his usual voice, he could just pretend to be a young man who happened to have a pretty face. With his typical rash and rude demeanour, he shouldn’t have much problem tarnishing his alluring looks and make it clear that he was a man.
…Or so Linfeng hoped. He felt like Mala would cause problems if any man tried to hit on him, or even dared to look his way weirdly.
“By the way, are you not a cultivator at all, Mala?”
“Not at all. I’m not even a bottom-of-the-barrel cultivator like some bandits are. I think those shitty techniques and dubious pills they take are more adverse to health than they are any good”
“I see… Well, then stay close to me, alright? I’ll probably be fighting cultivators, and I don’t want you to get hurt”
“R-Right… Funny you would say that when the only damage I have received came from you!”
“It was just business, Mala. Maybe you should have dropped your weapon when you saw me destroying your fellow in a single blow each?”
“I was too stressed out to drop anything! My muscles were tense as hell. My hand would have been clenching the sword’s handle even if it had been chopped off!”
“If you say so…”
Linfeng and Mala returned to the place where they had first met, only to discover that the corpses of the other bandits and the entire camp had vanished, leaving only blood splatters and disturbed nature as proof of what had taken place.
“...Did scavengers already take the remains away?”
“Doubt it. Way too clean to have been done by animals or amateurs… I’ve seen things like this a few times while travelling as a bandit. One time, the rest of the gang and I were hiding near the edge of a battlefield in another country, just near the border with Leynlornd. We wanted to rob some of the corpses of their armours and weapons at the end of it, but we were completely outpaced by bastards in pale white robes and their cadaver servants”
“Who were they?”
“Who else? The Sect Of The Old Decay, obviously. In Leynlornd and the surrounding countries, they are the only fuckers who deal with necromancy on such a large scale. All necromancy groups, sects, and whatever the hell, were absorbed into them soon after they pledged total allegiance to the Elt clan… Do you not know this? It’s literally basic knowledge”
“I know of the sect, but not their history… I don’t think it’s actually common knowledge”
“It is! Have you never taken a history class or something?”
“Have you?”
“Of course! Don’t tell me you never went to school”
“School? Isn’t that where the kids of rich people go? Were you a rich kid, Mala?”
“Huh… Forget about that, alright? Just know that, as far as I am aware, the only ‘scavenger’ who works so quickly and cleanly is the Sect Of The Old Decay! I’m not saying this was them, but perhaps a group that works to collect corpses for them. Who knows, really?”
“Could this mean that the Elt clan is somehow involved?”
“Heh… I wouldn’t say so. As far as I am aware, they let their vassals do their own thing for the most part. For the most evil of the great clans, they are weirdly big on allowing freedom for their servants”
Linfeng rubbed his chin.
“I guess they are so evil because they allow themselves and those close to them freedom beyond what is moral…”
“That’s quite the deep thought from a muscle head like you”
“Hey, are you trying to get yourself pounded roughly tonight?”
“...Definitely not…”
“That’s what I thought!”
Hey, Linfeng. Are you incapable of reading between the lines or something?
‘What do you mean, System?’
You know what? I’ll give you a little more time to realise
‘Realise what? System?’
Linfeng shrugged and got Mala to direct him to where more bandit groups should be located…
