How To Keep A Man

What just happened was a big, fat stroke of misfortune, with how uncommon and rare her coming out of the library was, the fact that Hui just had to run into Yin was incredibly unlucky, quite literally the one person, in the whole sect, who would not just try to initiate a conversation, but get so familiar with her, the librarian knew a few other girls who she was friendly with, but none would have gotten touchy enough to notice anything.

'I hope she'll let go eventually' thinking of something that would definitely not happen, Hui was already outside the sect, walking the streets of Oie with an uncertainty poise, there were way too many people walking and talking to her liking, it felt suffocating to be thrown into the maws of a crowded social space.

Thankfully, by being dressed as a disciple, she could get through the people relatively easily, slipping into a small alley, although it looked suspicious, this was not the blackmarket or anything even remotely illegal, Hui knew Oie a fair bit as she had been born here in the first place, having been raised in an orphanage, it was where she had first met Yin and all of the people that could be called friends of hers.

Life had been alright, Oie wasn't a dingy place at all, so the orphanage was actually properly ran, especially since it was a rather good source for new disciples for the Myriad-Arm Sect, although good backgrounds were nice, none at all was perhaps even better to teach cultivation.

How talented one might be was also relatively random, so it wasn't like random orphans made for poor quality cultivators, well, some did, like Hui.

Although strongly unwilling to tell the truth to Yin as she knew very well that the blonde wouldn't believe that the librarian was actually into the rough treatment at the hands of Edrick, but also because she didn't want people to know that someone of high status and as exalted as himself had anything to do with her.

Hui knew very well that she wasn't worth much, moreover, she knew now that Edrick already had two wives, for someone like him, if he wanted to, he would have already claimed her, since he had not, it meant that he was probably not even considering keeping her around.

At first, Hui wouldn't have minded too much, but after they had an actual relation and he choked her like that- She wouldn't possibly bear to not be treated like this anymore, it was simple, whether he had meant to or not, Edrick had fully claimed her heart, no other man would be capable of making her experience anything like this again.

Somehow, she needed to increase her value in his eyes, right now, Hui was but a lowly, spineless librarian, a mere outer disciple that had not been kicked out solely because she worked for the sect in another manner.

She had never even properly cultivated any technique in particular or excelled in using a singular weapon, Hui was a feeble girl, a right-handed person born with two left hands, certainly, there were qualities, just none that mattered in the Myriad-Arm Sect, it served no purpose to have an excellent memory or to be smart when you couldn't apply them to your training.

She had given up at some point as well, but thanks to Anoteros, Hui felt revitalised, she had a purpose to follow now, which was to become worthy of his attention, it didn't matter if he decided to keep her as a pet, she just wanted to stay by his side and get roughed up by him as often as he wanted.

Looking up, the bespectacled girl stood before a shop well-hidden from the main streets, though, even the dark alleyways were clean and safe in Oie, so the establishment still appeared respectable, if one did not read the name at least.

'Naughty Cultivator's Nirvana'

A rather evocative name, especially with the sort of items that could be seen through the front glass, such large bits of glass showed that this was a place that saw customers often, as the production of windows of the likes was monopolised and thus overly expensive on top of being done pretty far away from here.

Looking left and right before entering, making sure that no one was watching her, she might be taken for some kind of pervert otherwise, a small bell rung when she entered, causing the person behind the counter to jolt of their half-asleep state, generally, customers would start showing up after dark, not during the day.

"May I help you?"

"I- Huh, I'll take a look around"

As the name suggested, this shop was selling products for cultivators, ranging from aphrodisiacs of all kinds, pills and elixirs supposed to enhance certain aspects of the one taking them…

Stopping before a potion that claimed to be capable of increasing the size of one's trouser snake, she gulped, it was already miraculous enough that Edrick could enter, any larger and it would straight up become a weapon and nothing else.

Hui had some pretty good savings, since she worked as a librarian, she had a salary, and since she never left the library and only ate the free meals, quite a bit of savings were available to her, and the prices weren't exactly extravagant either, the effects of consumables were minor, to avoid any problems, the owner was only selling items whose effects could cause drawbacks, to avoid any disputes with customers.

Instead, Hui was more interested in the small sections with copies for most particular cultivation techniques, these were not available at the sect as deemed most inappropriate, indeed, most viewed cultivation as a way to get stronger, but due to how flexible the practice was, certain techniques could get very specific in their application and usage.

Skimming through the small collection available, the librarian couldn't help but blush and smile as she picked out two of them, jumping from being incapable of doing one to two might seem like a stretch, but Hui felt like they were just made with her in mind.

Picking these out alongside a few resources that should help in the cultivation of this sort of technique, she went to the counter.

"Erotic Cauldron and Resilient Manikin?" the seller couldn't help but mention "You read their effects properly?"

"Yes"

"I see…" when running such a business, one needed to know not to judge, but most who came here either looked for an enhancement of a certain kind, or for something spice it up with their partners, Erotic Cauldron and Resilient Manikin were techniques classified as 'all-cultivation' but with a strong lean toward body cultivation, both of which told a lot about the person wishing to purchase them and the sort of life they led.

Hui paid upfront, stashed everything into a bag and quickly left, feeling all giddy.

Thankfully, no one bothered to look or ask what she had done or bought, and she snuck back to the library's backroom.

Taking off the robes, her neck and forearms were indeed a completely different colour than the rest of her skin, Anoteros had only recently begun choking and pinning her down but he had already deeply marked her body, Hui hoped that he would be getting rough in more ways soon…

"Edrick… Oh Edrick… I'll make sure you want to keep having fun with me… Heheheh…"
