Boosts
If my calculations are correct, then this particular pill should be of help in mastering your two current techniques, Linfeng… However, I do distinctly remember telling you that seeking it out now would be a bad idea. And yet–Here you are
‘I know, I know! I’m not here for the Body-Building Pill just yet’
If I may ask, what is the point of being here then? Oh, is it about the rumours of bandits that you've heard? I suppose you wish to face them in combat to hone your skills... That makes sense, but the rumours spoke of well-organised and somewhat powerful bandits rather than the usual bottom-of-the-barrel fools…
…They might be beyond your current strength. Raging Bull Punch and Moon Hare Kick grant you pure physical strength and capabilities–Not technique or precise skills. I do not mean to talk down to you, but in terms of martial capabilities, you remain somewhat average... Below average if we factor in the techniques you were exposed to, rather than your true talent in the area
You do not yet have enough experience and martial knowledge to face people of your same strength level. You are too likely to be outmanoeuvred. Especially against several enemies
‘Come on, System… There were rumours about several bandit groups of varying strength levels in the area–Not just this one. Besides, isn’t it your job to give me what I need to progress? Your words, not mine’
I am only here to dispense wisdom and specific cultivation techniques. I do not do martial arts manuals or the like… You have innate talent in the area, however. You’ll be able to learn with experience. I am certain of it
‘I feel way too slow, System. How long has it been since that bastard took Fingmi? Can you imagine the sort of things he could have done during such a time span? It makes me sick just thinking about the possibilities… I know that you’re right and that I won’t be able to save her unless I become way stronger, but it doesn’t change the fact that it feels like I am leaving her in the den of a monstrous beast’
Whatever happens, happens, Linfeng. I do not claim to be an expert in understanding people, but this man–Edrick Lucien Anoteros, or rather, Zixuan Elt–Is not the typical sort. It was clear that he truly wanted you to come and find her… Trust me, she will be fine when you go seek her out
‘I hope you are right, System. I hope you are…’
Thinking about the man who had taken his Alrinir made Linfeng’s blood boil. It was only made worse by the fact that he could only agree to the fact that Anoteros was, in fact, way stronger than him at the moment. He was the perfect representation of a scion of a great clan.
He was almost inhuman in how tall and muscular he seemed, like he had the blood of an orc or something similar coursing through his veins. He had beaten Linfeng down with ease despite all the progress he had made with his two techniques granted by his system.
Linfeng had foolishly believed that he had become nigh unstoppable with the combination of those two techniques... That his strength would keep on soaring far above that of his peers, and that even the nobles would come to be taken aback by his incredible power… This foolishness was directly to blame for what had happened. He now understood very well that the only reason Anoteros had even learned of the existence of the lesser clan was because of the comment Linfeng had made toward the future lord of Oie.
Jania Oie was one of Edrick’s many wives, as Linfeng had come to find out. The scion of the Elt clan was a harem-builder, and one without the slightest bit of shame at that… Which only made Fingmi’s potential fate more likely to be horrifying…
The worst part about Linfeng’s unfortunate comment was that, due to his foolish mindset, he probably still would have made it even if he had been aware that Jania Oie was married to someone of such high status. He had simply been far too confident in himself to consider possible repercussions.
Things weren’t the same now, however. He would keep in mind things such as status from now on. He couldn’t allow himself to mess up again… Or at least, he couldn’t mess up for anyone other than himself. The worst part wasn’t the consequences brought upon him specifically, but the slaughter of everyone else within the lesser clan and Fingmi’s capture. He was fine with dealing with the blowback of his own actions, but to have it extend to other people was simply unacceptable.
The young man’s system did not say anything, but it found the change in mindset most pleasing. If anything, perhaps he should thank Anoteros for making Linfeng actually responsible and thoughtful of his actions.
Alas, he still remembered clearly how the noble had been carrying a system himself. This made things dangerous, as it was highly likely that if his system was one who could express themselves like he could, that the noble was also aware that Linfeng had a system.
Remain careful, Linfeng. As always, we are probably being watched
‘I know…’
The young man settled in the cheap room of an inn for the night. He had acquired some funds, but made sure to spend as little as possible when it came to such things. He could sleep on the floor if necessary. If anything, the worse the bedding, the more the night would be akin to a training session…
Although cheap, the room did feature a mirror–One that did not reflect much, but enough for one to see themselves.
Linfeng stared at himself after he undressed, preparing to step into a humorously small bath. He had changed quite a bit due to the progress of his two techniques. Training them in unison truly brought about massive changes, not just in strength, but in his physique as well.
Linfeng used to be a scrawny, short wretch… Now, he was a one meter and eighty-two centimeters tall, muscular man. If not for his youthful face, he would struggle to recognise himself at this point.
His musculature wasn’t exactly typical, however. His muscles were very compact, with his chest and abdomen being lean, but unusually similar in overall shape and size, making it look extra compact–Which was exactly what this was. His muscles weren’t expanding in size. They remained as they were and instead grew denser and denser as he trained, giving a rather unusual appearance.
His abs were also somewhat forward, as though his belly was rounded. This made him appear as if he were in possession of a barrel-shaped stomach area.
It was an unusual musculature, but nonetheless one that would greatly please the eyes of the ladies… Though there was something else that–As a man–Linfeng couldn’t help but notice…
‘System, you didn’t tell me that these techniques would make my dick bigger too…’
What, you don’t like it or something?
‘It’s great! But I just wasn’t expecting that to be a thing’
The third technique you’ll unlock–Primordial Yang Emperor Physique–Is a technique that relies on great amounts of Yang, or, since you aren’t from a cultivation area that is very into such things... It means that it has a strong side as a dual cultivation technique, since Yang needs Yin to be properly cultivated, and Yin is predominantly found in women...
...It is only natural to boost you down there beforehand… You’ll also notice boosts in libido and general carnal desires
‘Huh… How large of a boost are we talking about…?’
I am not going to lie, it is going to be quite large and sudden when it rolls around the corner… Using your hand won’t cut the deal when that happens, so I hope you’re ready to pop your cherry
‘What the hell, System?’
It is what it is
