"What do you think about your new life here?" he asked, staring at the water absentmindedly.

"It's great! I don't remember the last time I was this happy" she replied, her massage not slowing down, Jingyi was doing a very good job right now, it wasn't perfect, but for someone as inexperienced as her, this was a more than acceptable performance.

"I am pleased that you are enjoying yourself, say, do you ever think about the people you knew before coming here?"

"The people I knew…? Oh, no, not really… I have been too absorbed in my maid training, everything else just slipped out of my mind" hearing this answer, Anoteros smiled a little, truly, Jingyi was very easy to tame, he didn't even need to do any additional work, she was doing the whole job by herself, was this too, a quirk of her purpose in the script?

Right now, all that was on her mind was to learn and please her master, the more days passed, the more the position of headmaid and personal maid of Edrick was attractive, further heightened by the lack of 'action' that had occurred between her and Anoteros, since that fateful, stormy night, he hadn't done as much as slap her butt, grope her chest, or even make any raunchy remark, in fact, he hadn't even looked at her in any way to could suggest interest.

Linmin reassured her that it would happen eventually, but it was something the white-haired girl felt very concerned with, since he laid upon her, she had been wishing to experience that bliss again, it was only when in his firm hold and put at his mercy that Jingyi felt truly free.

Right now, just giving him a shoulder massage was putting the maid on edge enough for her to fear the panties she wore might be drenched.

Li and Yi had completely fazed out of her memory, so did her friends, although the resentment she once felt toward the latter due to leaving her to fend for herself against Edrick, had now been switched to gratitude, it didn't help them get on Jingyi's list of priority, every entry on the list concerned her master, her master's wives, or the residence itself.

"Is that so?" he asked a few more questions, but it was mostly just for the sake of it, until he finished his bath, although his excursion this time had been much less bloody than when he had given Golden Teeth a little visit, it was still important to make sure to get rid of all the evidence, even that which you didn't know existed.

"Jingyi" he stood up, water rolling down his bare body, the maid almost drooling at the sight, even when his back was turned to her, she could still see the dormant creature, looking just as alluring and powerful as it always did.

"Yes, Master?" she had to maintain her cool, however, even though she wanted to be nailed right against the ground, right now, a maid needed to know her place and act casual in all situations, if she wanted to take on the role of headmaid, she had to not commit any mistake.

"Go ahead and take the bag to be cleaned, and once you're done, join me in the main living room" he said, and Jingyi firmly nodded.

"I'll get going right now, Master!"

She controlled herself not to glance back and get a better look at Edrick's body, and swiftly exited the bathroom, moving as she had been taught, not too quickly like she was trying to get away, nor too slowly like she wasn't eager to fulfill the order.

Anoteros heard her steps getting further away from the bathroom, and then stepped out of the bath, grabbing a towel made from cotton of incredible quality, he thought for a few moments how it would be to have an army of maids just doing everything for him, although he wasn't a big fan of that sort of thing on the daily, every once in a while wouldn't hurt.

Though, for now he only had a single maid, but at least she was well on her way to becoming a great one, it was hard to imagine that the sobbing mess he had first decided to trounce on an empty floor of the sect's main building was now serving him and clearly craving for some attention.

'I feel like I have encountered quite a lot of unique individuals since I took over this body… It's probably due to being in places where scripts are going down'

Travelling to areas where no predetermined stories were in the work would probably be a nice thing, but for now, he had to remain, it would be a shame to just leave halfway through his current preparations.

He opened and closed his right hand a few times, this limb felt a little different from the rest of his body due to being where he had practised the Encyclopedia Of Self-Affliction the most, it was a rather slow and tedious process, even with the assistance of an expert like Ku Xing, each bone needed to be done one by one to begin with, and each bone had to endure a variety of damages, different types and to different extents, and bones also required even more than that due to certain factors, but even the smallest one was an arduous journey, and this was only the beginning, after the bones, there was everything else.

This technique was a thorough one, and he suspected that it wasn't restricted solely to the Xing family for the simple reason that actually trying to cultivate it without their ancestral knowledge and resources would deal far more harm than good.

However, Ku Xing had told him that once certain parts were done, that an even greater bonus would wash over him, like, once he was done with the bone in the hand, that it would trigger something, she had not precised what it was, clearly intending to let it be a surprise.

Edrick dried himself up, and tidied the bathroom himself before exiting, covering himself up in a bathrobe, and taking a seat in the living room, where he waited a few minutes for his maid to arrive.

"Take a seat, Jingyi" he said, and much to the girl's disappointment, he motioned toward a chair instead of his lap.

"Linmin mentioned it to you, didn't he? That I would procure the means to check whether or not you were in possession of a physique or anything similar… So here we are, do not be too stressed about the results, even if nothing turns up, it won't affect your qualifications to work here, you are a maid after all, I don't need you to be a cultivation genius" he reached out and casually punched her waist, Jingyi voicing a small yelp of surprise that sounded an awful lot like a moan.

"Despite feeding you in abundance and following the strict regimen of Linmin, you have barely gained any weight at all, coupled with the fact that you seem unable to cultivate, I am rather confident that something is indeed the matter with you, so let's find out if that issue can be traced back to a physique, or perhaps a bloodline?" he said, taking one of her hands and prickling it with a needle.

Although the reason for her problems could be due to many, many things, including things that are considered outside the realm of cultivation, he felt fairly confident that at least one of the tests would turn out positive.

He also checked her energy reserve and quality, and they both turned out fairly average.

"Ah, the results are here" he calmly stated.

Jingyi swallowed her saliva, hoping that she did have something, that way she could be more useful to her master.

Anoteros held the suspense for a few more seconds however, finding her nervousness very delectable, if not for what he was planning, he would have definitely played with her a little bit there…
