Council Of Four

Whilst their beloved lord-husband was still in the woods, the four wives assembled around in the living room, a pleasant fire crackling in the chimney, the interior of the residence spotlessly clean as per usual, but despite the perfection of the work, it still retained that odd air.

Ask any of the four wives, and they would tell you that they think it was a sign of safety and comfort, but ask anyone outside the household, and they would tell you that it felt more like something was constantly brewing and that something simply seemed unnerving about the residence.

Since Edrick had first taken ownership of this place with Fanqia and Linmin, many things had changed about this place, it had seen much extensions, renovations and the likes, Linmin was always the one overseeing everything, but many changes had been made as per Anoteros's orders, and he had very precise ideas alongside the typical addition of more space and the creation of utility rooms.

There were actually secret passages and a hidden underground area alongside an actual basement, but some hallways were also purposefully made tighter or wider than they should be, and one could also end up in a dead end by walking up a flight of stairs somewhere, this had been achieved by having the people working be changed often and not disclose the real layout.

Naturally, everyone who actually lived inside the residence was well aware of everything and did not mind at all, this was meant for guests, be they wanted or not.

"Alright, we are once again back for our daily meeting… Any progress since yesterday? Lord Edrick's birthday will come up a month after the tournament, and I think we can all agree that we should provide ample gift to thank him, from what I read, married couples, or harems would probably celebrate by having lots of sex, and perhaps in a novel manner, but Lord Edrick already pounds us all thoroughly in many ways already, and we are much less knowledgeable and competent in that domain to be certain to surprise him"

Linmin was the first to speak, dressed in his typical light green dress and tights that complemented his eyes nicely, the servant-wife took this matter extremely seriously, to him and everyone else present, they were the ones benefiting the most from their relationship to Anoteros, even if their lord-husband may not quite see it in this manner, it was how they felt overall, and thus had the need to try and thank him for taking care of them so well.

"We have all of the costumes ready, and we successfully managed to get that Shu guy to sneakily get us the red-root beer and darkshine herbs needed for the event… How is everyone doing with the Pleasure Eel Pore Opening Technique?" Fanqia spoke up next, garbed in bright red robes that really, truly tried their best to cover up her voluptuous shapes, but failed miserably, although, the swinging sleeves were supposed to help attract the attention instead, the level of success being mediocre as the mounds were so large and soft that they visibly bounced.

"I think everyone managed to cultivate it, this technique barely even qualifies as cultivation anyways, as Lord Lucien's wives, we all naturally picked it up rapidly!" Hui put both hands up against her hips and puffed up her chest.

"Yes, all of us can really get all lubed-up in a matter of seconds!" added Luxuli.

"Oh, me and Fanqia we managed to get that aphrodisiac done, we tested it and it works like a charm, with The Lord's training to resist toxins and his strong body, it might not have much of an effect on him, but I'm sure he'll be delighted to have us completely cock-hungry- Well, more than usual at least" then it was the demoness who spoke up, garbed in a pure white attire with some hints of bright pink that was not quite a fit for the local dressing style and looked more akin to a kimono.

A very conservative and non-revealing attire, Edrick liked to see his wives well-dressed after all, not only did it drive home to anyone else that might looked at them that they belonged to him, but it also much more satisfying to unwrap to get a look at their naked body that way, even if Anoteros was far from opposed to more revealing clothing.

"As for me, I have been working to translate a bunch of cultivation techniques that were only available in other languages to try and find something that could suit Lord Lucien, and I think I found a body cultivation technique that he would like" naturally, each of the wives were also trying to bring something personal alongside the group effort, it was pretty hard to find something tangible that their husband could need as Edrick tended to just do things himself.

So they had to try and find something that he might need in the future, or something that was useful, but that he had not thought about just yet, this was a rather tall order, especially since he rarely forgot anything and had the money to get virtually anything he wanted.

But if there was one thing that Anoteros liked very much and that he could not obtain on whim, it was for his prized possessions to improve themselves, it might seem counter intuitive, but working on themselves was perhaps the greatest present they could give to him.

The librarian was really hitting the nail on the head with that one, her smarts and language expertise were her specialty, moreover, she would make sure that the translation of the technique would at least in part be attributed to her husband in some way, it was thanks to him that she could work so well and fast after all, having never felt so energetic and sharp in years.

She moved her hips from side to side as she showed off the manual for the technique to the others.

Meanwhile, Linmin had been working hard to improve his swordsmanship and cultivation, he was far from being as talented as his lord-husband, but he had made pretty good progress in a technique called 'Dao Fortress'.

Fanqia was definitely not good at all in cultivation, she had yet to find a technique that went well with her mysterious physique, but she had been working on learning how to brew potions, make arrays and the likes, turning out to actually be pretty good at it, hopefully, she would manage to create things that would actually be useful to Edrick.

As for Luxuli, she had just gotten into learning about magic for real and was a bit clumsy with it, she had also been exerting her appraisal ability on everything she could, as it could most certainly grow more precise and useful with intense utilisation, Anoteros might not be at that stage yet, but all cultivators, if they wanted to progress, would require special resources eventually, not to mention the many wondrous objects and such that could be greatly beneficial, if she could detect and clearly see what they were useful for, her husband would greatly benefit.

"That's great! With all of this, I am certain Lord Edrick will be very pleased with us…" Linmin poked Fanqia a bit, signalling that she should take the lead and do some matriarch stuff, as humble as Fanqia was, she was still the first wife and even if the voluptuous woman didn't think that there was any difference in status between any of them, and even if Edrick didn't think so either, others definitely would assume so.

There would be times when they would have to accompany their lord-husband around, Anoteros was a noble scion of a major clan after all, even if things were peaceful right now, with his growing power and relation to the Myriad-Arm Sect, the Elt clan would definitely have him represent them, or at least have him around for many official stuff.

As his wives, they would have to be there too, and they could not bear the thought of embarrassing him.

"Ah yes! Aherm… There is another important matter that we need to discuss, we wouldn't have pulled Hui from her job just to check if we were well-prepared for the birthday, that could have been done another time…"

"As Lord Anoteros's wives, we need to form cohesive and strong group, a sort of sisterhood, if you will… And, huh… I think we should help our lord-husband with the residence in a way we have yet to do"

The two who were not in on it yet leaned forward with interest.

"That is by trying to rope in some new women, or even foppoofs, doing so with possible wives would be a bit much, but at least try to find servants and maids, I am certain that we could easily lure- I mean, invite some over to the residence and save Lord Anoteros some time"

"I am not certain about servants, but the maids and butlers should definitely be to his tastes to be allowed here, and also, you can entice them with a salary, but don't actually give them any money, they need to understand that just living in the same house as Lord Anoteros is already more than anyone could ask for"

All four nodded, this was a given for them.
