CH 4: FIANCEES?
As I walked towards the dining room alongside the two cute maids who had very disturbing and depressing secrets, I couldn't help but think about all the information I had obtained.
This world was without a doubt a crossover. One. Very. Large. Crossover. At the very least I had identified five Anime as of now. I refused to believe that it was all.
Even though this crossover destroyed some of the information he had access to as a transmigrator, it seemed like some of the basic backstory was still present though slightly modified.
For example, in the original, Ram was a devout follower of Roswaal L Mathers, the man who saved her and became basically her mana tank. In this world though, the one to save her and Rem was Mamako. He didn't know if Subaru existed in this world or if the witch cult also did.
'This is so frustrating. It is simply impossible to calculate all the variables with the amount of information I have. In the first place Shuka does not even have a brother. So it's clear that this body was specially created for me.'
I let out a sigh as I stopped the urge to pinch my eyebrows. I could feel Rem and Ram glancing at me but I really didn't care.
The second problem of this world was the coexistence of both Magic and science. The mana coming from the other world infected every human on earth. Nowadays every human could use some form of mana manipulation and some could even give birth to a special ability.
As an anime lover, I knew very well how absurd some Anime could be. If I had been sent to a purely scientific world, as so many harem anime are set in, I would have had an incredible advantage with my skills. But in a world where magic existed, the amount of work that I had to give increased greatly.
One could ask, you are obviously from a rich family, why don't you just use your money to create your own harem and live an easy life?
It was of course one option I entertained, but, as a transmigrator, how could I let go all those beautiful anime girls I always dreamed of having? Like Rem for example. Rem was basically my number one waifu. Cute and crazy. Though I respected Subaru and his sturdy mentality, because let's be honest, we may say that he is a pussy but few of us would have lasted more than 3 or so deaths before giving up and becoming a mess. Still, even if he exists in this world, there's no way I will let him get Rem. He should be happy with Emilia or Satella if they exist.
This is where the third problem happens. I want anime girls. But anime girls generally go through some serious shit or are super badass. How could you calm a berserker Oni maid without some power if you didn't have plot armor so many main characters had?
The fourth problem? Well both Darwin's game and Highschool of the Dead had apocalypse like settings. Darwin's game also had a whole multiverse setting. So would it happen? The Greeds from Darwin's game were awfully similar to *Them* from Hotd. A fusion could happen? Magical zombie? Re zero wasn't any better.
I hide a shiver at this thought.
'I seriously need to begin training. I don't wish to become the food of some zombies or some super flying whale.'
As I neared the room with the large door now visible, I stopped thinking about all those complicated issues. Right now I was living with four women I could only see through the TV. I could at least enjoy it for a short time.
“Onii-sama~!!!”
“Ouf~!”
The moment I entered, I didn’t even have the time to observe the room before a bolt of red barreled into me.
Name: Shuka Karina
Alias:
Race: Human
Affiliation: Akira
Age: 11
Affection: 95
Specialties: None
Abilities: Threads manipulation
Thought about you: Worried
Minor Secret: She began training secretly.
Major Secret: She looks at you every night while you sleep. She has nightmares about her parents’ death.
Most guarded secret: She sees you as her savior, a miracle that answered to her prayers.
As I kneeled down and looked at the little girl who will later become the queen of thorn, I couldn’t help but let out a large smile while patting her head,
“How is my favorite little sister? Were you able to make some progress on your ability?”
Shuka looked at me with sparkling eyes as she nodded,
“Ne ne, onii-sama what will my reward be? You promised to give me a gift.”
“I-”
“Fufufu~! Shuka, how many times did I tell you that a young lady shouldn’t run like that?”
Name: Mamako Oosuki
Alias: Hero, Sword Saint, Dual swords demon, Son-con, Never aging, Crazy mother
Race: Human
Affiliation: Herself
Age: ??
Affection: 35
Specialties: Swords, Reinforcement magic.
Abilities: Mother's power *Sealed*, Right hand of God(Vindalfr)
Thought about you: Worried
Minor Secret: She is a glutton
Major Secret: ???
Most guarded secret: She had feelings for her adopted son Masato
I got up and looked at her, I wasn’t surprised that I could see her most guarded secret but couldn’t see her major secret. After all, from the test I made, I needed an affection of 30 to see a minor one, 60 for a major secret, and 90 for the most guarded secret. Of course, this rule didn’t apply if I already knew the secret. Like with Ram and Rem.
“Good afternoon, aunty. Forgive Shuka, she is just happy to see me.”
Even though she was admonishing us, I knew that she didn’t mean anything bad about it. This Mamako was a little different from the one I remembered. You could say that she was closer to Hahako than her usual self from the anime.
‘I should be able to understand everything once her affection reach 60’
Shuka stuck her tongue at me in mock play before steeling her expression. What followed as we sat on the table was a rather silent dinner. Still, I didn’t forget to thank Ram and Rem for cooking the food as it was extremely delicious.
Once the dinner ended, Mamako wiped the little grease on her mouth before looking at me with a kind smile.
“How are you Akira? I heard from Yuko that your recovery was coming nicely.”
“Yes. Aunt Yuko created a diet and a training regiment that helped me recover swiftly. Thankfully thanks to my rather high mana capacity, my body wasn’t heavily impaired even while I was in a coma.”
“I see. Then this is perfect. As you know, the nobility has been rather perplexed that the last male heir of the Karino family was into a prolonged coma. I wanted to organize a party to show the world that everything was alright and calm the unrest. What do you think?”
I began to brood a little, in Darwin’s game, nothing was really known about Shuka's parents aside from the fact that they meddled in stuff they should have avoided. Though it was also clear that they were wealthy. Here in this world, the Karino family was one of the wealthy noble families. We weren’t the richest, nor the oldest, but we both had wealth and history. This made for a rather good combo.
“Will my fiancees’ candidates be present? Will I finally discover their identities?”
I had heard that I had some girls who had been proposed as my fiance since I had no memories of before my awakening, I was left in the dark about who they were.
Mamako smiled a little as she said,
“It wouldn’t be interesting if you knew what they looked like. Still, since you don’t remember them telling you their name it shouldn’t hurt. Just promise me to not make research on them. I want you to discover them.”
“Hahaha, don’t worry. I won’t.”
“Their names are, Saeko Busujima, Jabami Yumeko and Anna Nishikinomiya.”
*Clang*
The fork I was holding fell on the ground. A terrible headache threatening to split my head.
‘A sadist, a gambling addict, and a nympho yandere.’
I pinched my eyebrows in annoyance.
‘If I die because of one of them I swear to punch him into the face even if it’s the last thing I will do. Fucking Asmodeus!’
If there was one silver lining in this shitty situation,
'Those girls may be batshit crazy. But they are hot as hell.'
“Akira are you alright? You are a little pale”
"Haha, it's nothing. Just a headache. It seems like those names sparked something in my mind. Excuse me. I think I will leave the table."
Welp, this world reached another level of confusing.
