CH 22: EXPLOSION!!

[Follow the hallway and enter the next door.]

This simple instructions showed something any reader would recognize.

A trial.

It was something rather common. weak as fuck MC enters a seemingly simple dungeon. Dungeon isn't so simple. Everyone dies. Mc gets cheat.

Well there was some variations depending on the story but this was basically the way of all Korean novels.

The problem with such situations was rather critical. Everything depended on luck, strength and intelligence.

So, I still had a chance to survive. This was a F rank dungeon. The one who set up this trial wouldn't increase the difficulty too much otherwise the F rank hunter who enters would simply die.

Of course there was also the possibility that this trial was created by some sick bastard who only enjoyed seeing people die as they suffered and lost hope.

…

…

…

Let's hope this isn't the case here.

----

Walk I was asked to, then walk I did.

With the deafening silence being accompanied by the gloomy shadows, this place came off far more eerie and ominous than a regular dungeon.

‘I can see no problem, but still…'

Just how long did I walk?

After walking for a long, long time, I finally reached the end of the passageway.

'Hum. Thankfully those armors didn't jump on me. I half expected them to do so.'

I watched the third large door I have seen in the interval of a few minutes.

The door was also full black.

*Thump* *Thump* *Thump*

I took a deep breath before exhaling. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't a little scared.

But more than anything, as I felt my heart accelerate and my blood pump so violently, I couldn't help but relish those feelings.

I didn't immediately enter the door but rather sat in front of it and closed my eyes.

I didn't know what was on the other side, but I knew that no matter what, I couldn't afford to fail.

Let's arm ourselves.

An LMG appeared in my hands before I put it aside. What followed was some light weapons that wouldn't be too heavy.

I debated replacing the Desert Eagle with a S&W but decided otherwise. I didn't know how long it would last, and I couldn't afford to use something that would sap all my stamina.

Once I was ready, I closed my eyes in order to rest my aching head.

'If I survive this shit, I will kiss Yuko.'

Yuko and her teammates from Black label were the reason I was so good at handling weapons.

One month wouldn't normally be enough, but thanks to my powerful vision and a rigorous training from true pros I was at least good enough to not miss anything in a certain radius.

Of course there were limits. But as long as they were within the limits of the third tier or just at the start of the second tier. I should more or less be able to shoot them.

Now… Whether shooting them would be effective or not was another story.

Sigh.

Slowly getting up, I took another deep breath.

"Let's do it."

-----

Behind the door was a vast and spacious cave. The very moment I entered,

[Welcome into the dungeon.]

[The trial will start from this moment on.]

Another message appeared in front of me.

Then,

*Bam*

The door behind me closed with a loud sound, but I didn't pay attention to that. The message in front of me continued,

[You have been locked in here. Survive this trial. A group of monsters will attack you every 30 minutes. You can escape if you successfully defend 10 attacks in total.]

[Your safety will not be guaranteed.]

[Escape is impossible.]

[The trial will begin in 10 minutes.]

Well.

I guess I did well in preparing myself so much.

A total of 10 attacks.

Perhaps the attacks would become stronger each wave. The minimum standard would be the ones that we had encountered earlier.

Well. 10 minutes was it?

A grin formed on my face as I began to walk towards the opposite door from where the monster would likely enter.

'Guess I can't waste those ten minutes.'

-----

[The trial will begin in 3 minutes.]

How friendly.

I dusted my hand before walking back towards the door I came from and stretching a little.

The cave was more or less circular. Which means that once the monster swarmed, I will not have any place to hide.

But.

[You have one minute left. Please prepare for the attack.]

I was ready.

I will not die. No way in hell I am going to die.

Trials? Survive? To hell with that bastard. I will show him up.

As the countdown reached five minutes, the door opposite shook slightly. As if it was about to open.

Grrr!!

Growl!!

The door opposite opened slightly.

The monsters’ cries could be heard from that door, which was left ajar. Although they couldn’t break through the door and rush in, I could guess that there were countless monsters beyond that door.

[10 seconds.]

I took a trigger in my hand and waited. I was ready for it.

[TRIALS START!!!]

Grrr!!

As the gigantic iron door opened, monsters came rushing out from behind it. The number of monsters was between 10 to twenty.

Still, even though they were rushing towards me, I didn't move.

Closer.

Closer.

Closer.

"NOW!"

The very moment they reached a certain place, I pushed the trigger in my hand.

The result?

BOOM!!!!!

"EXPLOSION!!!! Hehehe! HahaHAHA!!, this is great!! SUCK IT BITCH!!! ART IS AN EXPLOSION!!!!"

I couldn't help but laugh madly as I looked at the fireworks in front of me.

Man. I love technology.
