Ch28: Some More Mundanity & Levelling Up Again

Leanna rises out of her IVR setup, groaning as the exhaustion and pain of this frail body returns to her once more.

A quick glance at the clock is all it takes to draw a few frustrated and half-spoken complaints from Leanna. Much more time has passed than she expected. It must have been the bandit camp, as she was awake for around three or four in-game hours longer that day...

Kind of annoying, really. Because now she only has time for one more full day before she’ll have to head to bed. Stopping partway through a day is possible, but it can be a bit disorienting. And Leanna doesn’t even know when she would have to stop, so that doesn’t exactly work. Do it too soon and that’d just feel like a waste. Do it too late and... well, she’ll feel even more like shit in the morning than usual.

If she can only play through one more day, then is it even worth doing right now?

Leanna doesn’t even need to think about that, as the answer is obvious: yes. Because, at the very least, it gives her the feeling of having more time before she has to go to work.

Not having time for two more days isn’t so bad, as it means she doesn’t have to rush back as quickly as she can. In fact, she can use the bit of the free time that she has now to give her more time in the game later: if she cooks two dinners tonight then Leanna will be able to quickly reheat and eat the leftover one as soon as she gets home tomorrow. That way she’ll be able to stay in the game for three or four days in a row.

Mind made up, Leanna heads towards her small kitchen. Maybe she can watch a few of those wilderness survival videos or whatever in the meantime?

“Well?” Krvavy rolls her shoulders. “You know what to do. So get to it.”

Thea just rolls her eyes and huffs in annoyance as her delicate fingers wrap around Krvavy’s stiff rod.

If Krvavy is being honest, she doesn’t really need Thea to do this for her. She already got off using her Orc before waking the brat up.

But Thea doesn’t know that, and she could really use the practice. The girl is as unskilled as she is unenthusiastic. At least she isn’t unwilling? Well, entirely unwilling. She would obviously prefer to not do this, but she isn’t really complaining about it either... Verbally, at least. She has rather quickly accepted that this is part of her life now.

Honestly, there is a special kind of pleasure from making this stuck-up girl stroke her cock. Mostly a psychological pleasure though. This isn’t exactly satisfying. Actually, it doesn’t even feel as good as it did last time, which is saying something. Is Thea even trying?

“Hey, girl, put some effort into it.” Krvavy chides. “Don’t make me get more hands-on.”

“Ugh!” Thea dramatically groans. It seems like she is trying her best to ignore Krvavy, or at least not respond to her. Has the girl finally caught on to the fact that Krvavy enjoys their banter? If it can even be called banter when it is really just mean spirited teasing being met with slurs.

Whether the girl realizes that or not doesn’t really matter though. Thea doesn’t seem like the type that could stop herself from responding if Krvavy were to really provoke her. And it would be easy to do just that...

But for now Krvavy will just sit back and enjoy a nice bowl of stew, along with a disappointing handjob. Really, if Krvavy wasn’t trying to show Thea her place, she wouldn’t even bother making the noble brat stroke her off right now.

“What did I say about the effort? You don’t want me to give you some seasoning for your stew, do you?”

Thea rolls her eyes with a huff, but does begin to put some more effort into her ministrations. Hopefully she’ll get better at this with practice.

[Ruffled Moss Grouse] has been slain!+25 Experience

The bird falls from the sky with a soft thump. Krvavy was lucky enough to hit it with a stone just after it took off. Though does it really count as lucky if she tries it dozens of times? She is bound to hit something eventually.

Either way, Krvavy is happy to have caught some food. She really needs to find a better way to hunt. Maybe figure out how to make some snares?

Approaching the dead bird, Krvavy takes out her knife moves to gut it. But she pauses in realization just before the blade cuts into it.

She has a spell for draining blood and converting it into mana.

Just like she had forgotten about Seismic Stomp, Krvavy had forgotten about Transmute Blood.

She feels like an absolute idiot. But the most frustrating part is that she didn’t even think to use it on the bandits. She killed a dozen of them! That spell could have levelled up a whole bunch! Just how much exp did Krvavy miss out on?! And getting more mana would mean that Seismic Stomp could have also levelled up some more!

But maybe she is just getting ahead of herself? Maybe Transmute Blood needs a living target? She has been using Seismic Stomp every now and then to level it up, so she could use the mana.

Cutting into the grouse and testing out her spell, Krvavy just gets annoyed at herself. It worked. She only got two points of Mana from it, but the fact that she can use it on a dead target... Well, she isn’t going to go back and dig the dead bandits up, so there is nothing she can do about it. She missed out on an easy opportunity for exp. But Krvavy isn’t trying to play optimally. Which is what she has to keep telling herself.

At least Transmute Blood makes dressing her catches much easier. No need to worry about it dripping blood everywhere. It is kind of weird how the blood just disappears, but at least it doesn’t make a mess.

Still, Krvavy is a bit frustrated. Standing up, tying the grouse to her loincloth’s belt, she turns to the side. Krvavy has the mana, so might as well grind Seismic Stomp some more. She already scared the rest of her potential prey away while getting this grouse.

A single cast of the spell seems to cause it to level up, reaching level ten. Of course, Krvavy has it set so that those notifications don’t bug her unless she gets something new, which is exactly what just happened.

Sculpt Stone: Utilizing Earthen magics you can shape earth & stone to your will, forcing it to take the desired form. Costs 100 Mana per m³. Associated attribute = Willpower.

But she hardly has any time to register her new spell, as another notification fills her vision.

Level Up! You have reached Level 6. As a Drakling blessed by a divine power, you have 5 attribute points to allocate and have gained +2 to Might & Toughness. If not allocated by the time you fall asleep it will be done automatically.

Well, how nice. Krvavy has been waiting for that. She already knows where to put the attribute points too. So, without any hesitation, one goes into Endurance to get it up to twenty-five and the other four points go into increasing her Dexterity. She’ll be able to get the milestone trait for that the next time she levels up.

Enduring to the End I: Increases Endurance by 5% and strengthens its effect on Total Stamina & Stamina Regeneration. Associated attribute = Endurance.

This new trait isn’t all that interesting. Her stamina did jump up a lot due to it, but that was kind of expected and she doesn’t really need more stamina. Doesn’t hurt to have more though.

But her new spell is what catches Krvavy’s attention. At first it seems incredible, but the more she looks at it the more disappointing it becomes. It just costs way too much. She definitely won’t be able to use it in a fight. No point in spending all her mana to create a tiny pit that someone could just climb out of.

And thinking about it, why did she even get Sculpt Stone? She understands that getting level ten in Earth Magic is what gave it to her, presumably, but why that spell in particular? It honestly sounds like a lower level spell than Seismic Stomp.

That said, it is something that Krvavy can use to grind up some Earth Magic levels back in her cave. And maybe she can use it to try her hand at home design? The platform her camp is set on really could use some railings. Maybe that is why she got it?

Well, no point dwelling on that now. She would like to catch some more food before the sun sets.

Krvavy places her finished bowl of stew down on the ground beside the campfire. She should try getting Thea to do the dishes at some point. That girl has nothing else to do all day, so she might as well make herself useful. And Krvavy would rather not have to do them herself.

She stretches her arms high above her head, enjoying the sensation of her muscles pulling themselves taut without any discomfort or pain. How nice it is to be able to stretch without her spine popping painfully... The heat of the campfire caresses her pale skin as she rests beside it. So warm and comfortable... Her relaxation is short-lived though, as her semi-hard cock throbs between her legs. She is feeling rather horny again, and that is starting to annoy her.

This body may be amazing and enviable, but it is just too much of a sex addict. It is almost always horny to some degree. She can ignore the arousal well enough most of the time, but that just seems to bottle it up for later. She’d rather have sex because wants to do it, not because of some all consuming need programmed into the game.

And she completely blames the developers for this. Leanna is never this horny. Even if she wasn’t always exhausted, Leanna would never want to get off anywhere near this frequently. Doing anything even remotely sexual more than once a week, if even that, is rare for her.

As such, Krvavy is not even going to even accept responsibility for this. Sure, she chose the obviously perverted option of being a chick with a dick, but it had better stats! Not better by all that much, but she didn’t know that!

Either way, the developers did not need to mess with her mind and add to her libido! What if someone who already had a strong libido played this game? Would they be reduced to a drooling mess who spends all day masturbating?

The worst part is that she doesn’t even have the option to ignore it. She is pretty sure that is why she lost control so easily with her Orc that first time. Well, that and inhaling aphrodisiac laced smoke. But she can’t entirely blame that stuff, not with how her body has been acting since then. So if she tries leaving it to tomorrow she might just lose herself to the lust again...

Those thoughts only frustrate Krvavy, and as her frustration increases so too does her arousal. Which just further pisses her off... and that in turn makes everything worse. Damn angry and horny feedback loop...

Fed up, Krvavy decides that if the developers wanted to treat this as some sort of porn game, then so will she! At least for the moment, that is.

“Take your clothes off.” Krvavy demands, turning to Thea, who simply glares in response. “I am not asking.”

“Ugh, no!” The bratty noble girl sneers. “I already used my hands on you this morning! Go rape your Orc, or something!” What happened to her earlier solidarity? It didn’t take her very long to resort to casually throwing that poor Orc under the bus like this...

“I can’t just fuck an unresponsive slab of meat all the time,” Krvavy growls back, genuinely annoyed. How heartless is this brat? “It gets boring. Now go on, undress. Before I tear the clothes off of you.”

Thea glares furiously at Krvavy before stubbornly crossing her arms. “You cannot treat me like this!”

“I can and I am.” Krvavy states as she rises to her feet, glaring down at the very realistic and well-programmed NPC.

“No! I am the daughter of a Baron! I am better than you! Lowborn! Know your place! Man-thing bitch!” Thea spits out. Though not literally. Not yet, at least.

Krvavy narrows her eyes as she stares incredulously at Thea. The barbarian just wants to see the body of this young blonde, and she thinks that Krvavy cares about her being the daughter of someone slightly important? Is this girl an idiot? What makes her think that Krvavy gives a single damn about that? Especially since it hasn’t stopped her yet?

“I am of exalted blood! A part of the esteemed nobility of Nordmak! Filthborne beast! You are a lizard in the mud beneath me!” Thea furiously spouts out, pointing her finger accusatorily.

As the bratty noble blabbers on about how she is superior, a thought suddenly occurs to Krvavy. “You know, I’m something of a noble myself.”

That stops Thea in her tracks, completely flabbergasted by that statement. After a few moments of sputtering in rage, she finds her voice. “You are not! Do not lie to me you worm! Wanton degenerate! You are little more than an animal! A glorified beast! Do not even pretend that you are anything but that! You are an uncouth savage who does not even wear clothes!”

Krvavy grins sadistically, taking pleasure in just how upset that simple comment is making Thea. “I am the daughter of a chieftain, just like how you are the daughter of a baron. We are basically equals~!”

“That is not even comparable!” The noble girl shouts back, her face going red with rage as she jumps to her feet. “You are a savage from a tribe of savages! Perverted bitch! There is nothing special about your beastly birth! Lowborn!”

“Actually, thinking about it, you would be beneath me.” Krvavy mocks, really having fun bullying this bitch of a girl. “After all, you are just the daughter of a baron~! Not only is that such an unimportant title, hardly even nobility really, but you’ll never hold it yourself~! And you got married off to someone you don’t even like as well~! I, on the other hand, could have been chieftain had I wanted to!” she assumes, “But instead I went out to live my own life and do whatever I want!”

“You are delusional! Insane!” The bratty girl’s shout borders on a scream. “You cannot be serious! To claim that a lowly tribal chieftain is on par with even unlanded nobles from civilized societies, let alone a Baron! Madness! You churl! Savage animal!”

“Well, I’m clearly more sane than you.” Krvavy comments, reaching down and untying her loincloth. “Now stop stalling.”

“I am not letting you touch me! Filth! Stay back!” Thea sputters and stumbles backwards. “N-no! Go Die!”

Krvavy’s hand darts out, grabbing onto Thea’s left wrist and keeping the girl from falling. Hunching down, Krvavy’s mouth opens up as her long tongue slides past her parted lips, licking all the way up Thea’s sleeveless arm. Purely just to mess with the brat. “Last chance, little snack~. Take all this off or I’ll do it for you~.” She playfully whispers out that threat, nibbling on the furious noble girl’s ear.

Pulling back a little bit, Krvavy stares into Thea’s eyes as the girl makes up her mind.
