Ch145: Helping Out in the Garden

“Oh, my dearest love!” A wide smile spreads across Beryl’s face, her pointed ears wiggling with joy as she spots the barbarian heading her way. “Are ya ‘ere fer me?”

“Yup.” Krvavy warmly replies, shamelessly taking in the wonderful sight that is her sweet berry.

No matter how many times she gets to enjoy this view, Krvavy will never get tired of just looking at Beryl. It honestly doesn’t even matter if that tomboy is naked or not. She could easily spend all day simply admiring her Elf’s lithe beauty... And the skimpy outfit that Beryl is currently wearing will do nothing to change that. In fact, it might just give Krvavy even more of an excuse to stare, imagining herself unwrapping that lewd leather strap of a top or pulling down those wonderfully tight booty shorts...

The tomboyish Wood Elf’s bright blue-green eyes twinkle with a playful light as she cocks her hip to the side, striking a rather casual yet still so alluring pose.

It takes nearly all of Krvavy’s willpower to pull her gaze away from that tease, and Beryl’s knowing giggle nearly draws her back in anyway. The barbarian gently bites the inside of her cheek as she glances across the garden, taking in the various plots and plants that fill this part of the grotto.

Off to the side, almost hidden behind some sort of bush, is a patch of dark-blonde hair. Just as Krvavy thought: Adeline is down here. Guess putting on her loincloth before coming to visit was the right decision. Wouldn’t want to make that timid girl even more uncomfortable than she usually is by walking around completely naked...

“This place just gets more beautiful every time I come down here.” Krvavy honestly states, turning her attention back towards her Elf.

Beryl’s cheeks flush just a bit as her smile widens. “Ah did promise tha’ Ah’d make this a paradise fer ya, remember~?”

“Yeah, but its one thing to hear you say that, and another to see it actually come true.”

“Ach,” the tanned tomboy dismissively waves her hand, downplaying her hard work. “This is nothin’. Really. Ah’ve told ya my vision fer it before, and this ‘ardly compares. Yer paradise will still take some time ta grow, but it will grow. Ah can promise ya tha’ much.”

“It’s already a paradise to me, but I’m not going to complain if you want to make it even better.” The barbarian barely shrugs her shoulders before stepping forwards, arms held out in an open invitation. “Now come here~.”

Beryl’s eyes light up as she all but throws herself into Krvavy’s embrace, wrapping her arms around the Drakling’s waist and wholeheartedly returning that hug. “Ah love ya, my Krvavy~!” She affectionately coos, nuzzling right into her taller lover’s chest.

“I love you too, my sweet berry~!” Those honest words hardly make it past Krvavy’s pale lips before she plants a tender kiss atop her Beryl’s head, the tip of her nose ruffling and rubbing into those aesthetically messy strands of bark-brown hair.

“Did ya come just ta give me a hug~?” This Wood Elf woman warmly wonders, tilting her head back and looking up past the Drakling’s pale – and very bare – breasts, seemingly content to keep clinging onto Krvavy like this.

“Nope,” the barbarian playfully returns, making that ‘p’ pop. “I came down here for an even better reason: I want to spend some time with you.” She leans her head down to give Beryl another kiss, planting this one on the Elf’s forehead. “Is there anything you need me to do? To help make our paradise?”

“Oh~? Don’t want ta spend yer time diggin’ through stone, but ya’re fine wit’ bein’ made ta dig in the dirt~?” The tanned tomboy teasingly trails a finger down Krvavy spine, letting that hand come to rest atop the base of her Draconic lover’s rather meaty tail.

“Good point.” Krvavy tries to hide her impish smile under a façade of seriousness. “Guess I should go back up there and get back to digging out our home. Well, I’ll see you later then.”

“Noo...!” Beryl dramatically laments, breaking her unconvincing act with a giggle as she tightens her grip around the barbarian’s waist. “Ya’re not goin’ anywhere, my dearest love~!”

“Really~?” The barbarian smirks as she takes a step back, hardly even inconvenienced by the Elf hanging onto her body. “Maybe I’ll need a reason to stay down here~?”

“Ach, if ya insist~!” Beryl clicks her tongue in mock annoyance. Her face fills with giddy anticipation as she rises onto the tips of her toes, stretching her whole body to reach up and press her lips against those of her Draconic lover. “Mwah~!” That kiss is rather short-lived, but is immediately followed by another and another and another still, those kisses travelling down Krvavy’s chin, neck, and chest as Beryl lowers herself back down.

“Hmmmmmm...” The Drakling draws out her exaggeratedly thoughtful hum. “I guess that is a good enough reason.”

“Great!” The tomboyish Elf cheerily states, her beautiful blue-green eyes twinkling with joy as she completely pulls back from Krvavy. “I’ll get the hoe so tha’ ya can get right ta toilin’ away in the dirt~!”

“Ha. Ha.” Krvavy laughs in a deadpan tone, not taking her Elf’s teasing seriously. “Wait.” She raises her brow in surprise as Beryl actually hands her the hoe. “Are you planning on expanding the garden even more?”

“My dearest love,” Beryl’s lips curl into a smile as she raises her own eyebrow, meeting the barbarian’s gaze. “Ya are aware o’ ‘ow many new seeds ya brought me, aye? Ah’ve planted a few already, but there simply aren’t enough plots fer all o’ them. So go on, get ta work~!”

“Well... Alright.” Krvavy shrugs her shoulders. She said that she’d help, so she is going to help.

“Aw~! No need ta look so down~!” Beryl playfully nudges the bigger barbarian in the side. “Ah’ll be right by yer side~! Not diggin’ wit’ ya, o’ course, but workin’ in a plot right next ta where ya’ll be~. We’ll still be spendin’ time together, don’t ya worry~.”

A little bit of embarrassment enters Krvavy’s face, her pale cheeks flushing with the faintest shade of pink. “Right.” She idly comments, slowly nodding her head. Is she really that transparent...?

“Now, my dearest love, come along.” The tomboyish Elf grabs onto the Drakling’s hand. Their fingers lock together, if just for a short few seconds. “Ah need yer big strong muscles over ‘ere~!”

“Hahhh...” Krvavy slowly exhales, leaning onto the hoe as she runs a hand through her slightly damp hair. This isn’t particularly difficult or tiring work, but it isn’t easy either. Especially after going for a couple hours nonstop... At least she is down here in the cool air of the grotto instead of being up on the surface in direct sunlight...

“Gettin’ tired already~?”

“Not even close.” The barbarian shakes her head, glancing over to where Beryl is kneeling on the mossy ground. “It’s just... a little uncomfortable having to bend over like this for so long.”

“Do Ah need ta make the hoe longer again~?” Beryl teasingly asks, holding back a giggle.

“No, this is... fine.” Krvavy reluctantly sighs, glaring a bit at the wooden tool in her hands. The thing is already a little awkward to use with how long it currently is...

“Ahh, the plights o’ bein’ so tall~!” The tomboyish Elf’s playfully serious act breaks, sending her musical laughter dancing and swirling through the garden. “Hahaha~!”

The Drakling can’t help but smile as her Elf’s joy washes over her. “My, you’re acting awfully playful right now~.”

“Am Ah~?” Beryl smiles back, her blue-green eyes twinkling with joyous love. “Maybe Ah’m just ‘appy ta spend some time wit’ ya~?”

“I thought that might be the case, but now I’m suspicious~...”

“Ohh, my dearest love~...” An exaggeratedly dramatic sigh escapes past Beryl’s lips. “Wha’ is so suspicious o’ me wantin’ ta spend time wit’ ya~?” She asks, her voice underlined with teasing laughter. Which only makes Krvavy even more skeptical. “After all, Ah’ve barely seen ya these past few weeks, so it is only natural tha’ Ah’d relish the time Ah can spend by yer side~!”

The barbarian bites the inside of her cheek, unable to keep herself from looking a little guilty. She has been away from home for a while...

“Hahaha~!” The tanned Elf’s laughter rings out once more. “Ya don’t need ta feel bad about tha’~! Ah am the one who wanted ya ta go ta Raseyne, remember~? But if ya do feel guilty fer leavin’ me alone fer so long... then Ah won’t complain if ya want ta make it up ta me~!”

“I see.” The Drakling slowly nods her head, leaning onto the hoe and looking straight into her Elf’s beautiful blue-green eyes. “So it was all a ploy to guilt me into spending more time with you, huh?”

“Yup~!”

“Well... it worked.” Krvavy brings a hand up to her heart, deciding to play up her guilt and remorse. “I feel so terrible for neglecting you like that~.” A mildly malicious grin spreads across her face as she drops the hoe and begins purposefully walking towards Beryl. “There is only one way I could ever make it up you~!

“Oh~? And just wha’ would tha’ be~?” The Elf giddily asks, brushing some of the dirt off of her body as she rises to her feet.

“To cuddle and hug you so much that you can’t get anything done today~!”

“Nooo~!” Beryl dramatically cries out, unable to stop herself from getting grabbed and pulled into a tight hug, her laughing words quickly growing muffled as her face is once more buried between the barbarian’s breasts. “Ah ‘ave so much ta do~...!”

“Should have thought about that before enacting your dastardly plan~!”

“Ach~!” The tanned Wood Elf clicks her tongue and glances up into her Draconic lover’s eyes. “Maybe Ah should ‘ave, or maybe this was my plan all along~!”

“Is that so~?” Krvavy playfully wonders, trailing a hand down Beryl’s toned back. Her fingertips find the spot where tight leather shifts into caramel skin. Unable to resist, she gives that perfect ass a quick squeeze, followed by an encouraging tap of a slap.

“Oh~?” Beryl nibbles on her bottom lip as a lewd blush blossoms across her face. After a couple more taps she decides to jump up and wrap her long legs around Krvavy’s waist, completely giving herself to the barbarian’s embrace.

The though of immediately lifting this Elf up and giving her a quick kiss is very tempting indeed. But Krvavy holds herself back, waiting until she has lowered herself down onto her knees, letting that tanned tomboy sit comfortably in her lap. “I was serious about cuddling you~.” She whispers, their lips hardly having parted.

“Are we... goin’ ta stay like this fer the rest o’ the day...?” Beryl hesitantly asks, her brow knitting together as her desire to actually get some more gardening done today battles with her need to get cuddled and hugged.

“No, this is just a break.” The barbarian softly states, swiftly losing herself in those beautiful and bright blue-green eyes, each one like a glimmering turquoise gem~...

A dexterous hand glides across that Drakling’s fit figure, eventually finding its way up to a pale-skinned cheek. Nimble fingers trace along a strong jawline as a thumb caresses the patch of black scales resting beneath an emerald eye. “This is just a break, huh~? Nothin’ more~?” Beryl asks, her expression filled with unending love. She smiles as that question gets an idle nod. “Well... then Ah suppose it’s time fer some small talk~. So, ‘ow ‘as yer readin’ been goin’? Is Thea capable o’ teachin’?”

The barbarian blinks, taking a few seconds to let her mind start working again. “She’s... alright.” Krvavy subtly shrugs her shoulders. “It’s slow work, but we’re making progress.”

“Slow work? From wha’ ya said before Ah would’a thought it’d be quick.”

“It should be, but...” Krvavy closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. “Thea kind of has a problem seeing the letters, which causes her to sometimes mix them up, and then that makes me mix them up...”

“Ach. Ah’d bet tha’ the girl refuses ta admit tha’ ‘er sight isn’t perfect, aye?” Beryl idly wonders, not looking surprised in the slightest when Krvavy nods in confirmation. “Now Ah’m regrettin’ never botherin’ ta learn ‘ow ta read Human words...”

“It’s alright.” Krvavy gently reassures, her own hand resting comfortably in the small of Beryl’s back, feeling the warmth that rests beneath this tomboy’s caramel coloured skin. “I’m not really in a rush to learn how to read, so it isn’t much of a problem if it takes longer.”

“Aye, but tha’ must make the whole experience rather... frustratin’.”

The Drakling shrugs once more. “A bit, but more for Thea than for me. She spent most of the time squinting, and would get really annoyed whenever I pointed that out. We needed to take lots of breaks... But even then... Well, we still had to end early because she was getting a pretty nasty headache that left her very, very grumpy.”

“Tha’ girl...” Beryl’s brow furrows, her face scrunching up ever so slightly as the faintest bit of annoyance enters her expression.

“I’m considering getting her some glasses.” The barbarian plainly states, fingers bumping into her sweet berry’s skimpy little booty shorts, that layer of leather keeping her from directly groping those perfectly toned cheeks. “But... I’ll either need to get a pair from Raseyne, which means that she’ll have to suffer for at least another month, or from my points shop.”

“Almost feels like a waste fer ya ta spend yer favour on somethin’ like tha’...” The tomboyish Wood Elf gives her opinion. “But Ah think it is the right decision.”

“Really?”

“Aye.” Beryl replies with a nod. “Not only is it quicker, but she’ll ‘ave less reason ta refuse usin’ them. Ya know full well tha’ ‘er silly pride would be the main obstacle in gettin’ ‘er ta actually use any glasses ya get ‘er. Spending yer valuable favour, rather than some simple coin, ta get ‘er a gift gives that girl an excuse. She wouldn’t be wearin’ the glasses because she needs them ta see, she’d be wearin’ them so tha’ ya didn’t just waste yer points on nothin’. Tha’ll get ‘er to put them on, at the very least, which’ll give ya the chance to convince ‘er tha’ she looks even more beautiful wit’ them on! If ya do tha’, then she’ll ‘ave no problem wearin’ them!”

A tinge of concern fills Krvavy’s face as she meets her Elf’s gaze. “That’s... Should I be worried about the fact that you so easily came up with a plan to manipulate her...?”

“Nope!” The tomboyish Elf giggles, sounding and looking less than innocent.

Krvavy narrows her eyes and skeptically stares at Beryl, before sighing and shaking her head.

Beryl’s delicate touch back down the barbarian’s body, those wiry and toned arms wrapping around a rather buff waist. “Do ya think tha’ is why she is so terrible wit’ ‘er bow...?”

“No...” the barbarian slowly responds, gently nibbling on the inside of her cheek. “I’m pretty sure her eyesight is only bad up close. She seems fine seeing things at a distance.”

“Ach, so she doesn’t even ‘ave an excuse fer tha’...” The Elf slowly trails off into a comfortable silence, resting her head on Krvavy’s chest as she relaxes into her Draconic lover’s embrace.

Krvavy briefly tightens her grip on her beautiful Wood Elf, giving that tanned tomboy a gentle squeeze. It is nice to just sit like this, holding onto Beryl while Beryl holds onto her... She could stay like this all day...

“I know Adeline is... somewhere down here.” Krvavy idly states after a few minutes, unable to keep the thought to herself. They aren’t doing anything sexual right now, but the tiny blonde would probably still get flustered seeing the two of them like this...

“Aye, do ya want ta talk ta ‘er?” Beryl reluctantly pulls her head back, just so that she can look her lover in the eye.

“No, not right now.” Krvavy quickly replies, fingers lazily gliding through that tomboy’s chin-length hair. “Is she doing alright? I do still feel kind of bad about, well, kidnapping her.”

“Don’t ya worry, tha’ sweetie is doin’ just fine.” Beryl reassures, a gentle smile playing at her lips. “Adeline may look like she is just moments away from breakin’ inta tears at nearly all times, but she is actually a fairly resilient girl. Ah’m sure she still misses ‘er family, o’ course, but Ah don’t think she’s been dwellin’ on tha’ much. She seems... fairly content and ‘as adjusted quite well ta this new life ya’ve given ‘er. Surprisingly adaptable, tha’ adorable little Halflin’.”

“That’s good, I guess...”

“Ya should watch ‘er later, when she is cookin’ dinner. Not too closely though, wouldn’t want ta make ‘er nervous~.” Beryl playfully suggests. “Ya’ll see ‘er smile and look genuinely ‘appy.” She clarifies after a few seconds. “Adeline seems ta really enjoy cookin’, and ta be honest Ah really enjoy eatin’ ‘er cookin’. She’s great.”

Krvavy slowly nods her head. “And she’s been helping you down here as well...” The barbarian plainly points out, finding herself thinking aloud.

“Aye. Tha’ sweetie ‘as been a great ‘elp. Ah’d say tha’ she is a better cook than gardener, but tha’ might just be me ‘avin’ ‘igh standards. Ah don’t need ta tell ‘er what ta do, step by step, which Ah suppose is all tha’ matters...”

“So you’re saying that she’s more useful down here than I am~?”

“Ah’d never~!” Beryl responds to her Draconic lover’s teasing in an exaggeratedly scandalized tone, her eyes gleaming with a lively light.. “No one is as good at tillin’ the dirt as ya are, my dearest love~!”

“Is that so~? Guess I should get back to my very important work then, huh~?” Krvavy holds back a laugh as she sees her sweet berry’s expression sour a bit. “Or do you want to waste more of your day just sitting like this, holding onto me~?”

“Ach, spendin’ time wit’ ya isn’t a waste~!” The tanned Wood Elf responds in the most serious tone she can muster right now, which is not convincing in the slightest.

The barbarian moves her head close and gently bumps her nose against Beryl’s. “Well... Do you want to stay like this or not~?”

“Do Ah need ta be more clear~?” Beryl answers that question with one of her own, pressing her lips against those of her Draconic lover. Her nimble tongue leisurely invades Krvavy’s mouth, almost challenging the Drakling as her hands slowly trail over pale skin and black scales.

Unable to resist her favourite Elf, Krvavy gives in and passionately returns that kiss.
