Chapter 192- Thank you
Things were back to normal? Yes, it seems they are.
Mom is in the spoiled phase.
She behaves as if she is upset with Dad but just to get his attention. Her eyes always turn cold when she looks at him but in contrast, Dad’s eyes always remain warm. He understood it well, what he needed to do to gain his wife’s forgiveness.
It has been a few days, and only seven days before the disaster would strike Tokyo.
Naturally, I was worried about that. But that's not the reason why I was here, in this familiar apartment flat of the silver haired huntress.
“The son of the demon Lord, eh?” Her eyes were scary as I informed her who the person was who became the cause of her father’s death.
“At your current level, I hardly believe you can reach him.” I told Yuna clearly.
Was it sympathy that I felt towards her? Maybe. After seeing her memories I got to know how broken a person could be yet so strong at the same time.
“You think I don't know?” She scoffed, “As much as I want to barge in that realm and slice that beast into several fragments, I know I can't.” She was very well aware of her current strength and how much she could achieve with the resources she had.
I sighed, “I guess, if you are going to hunt him down, you challenge him in some way. Assassinating the Demon Lord’s son seems impossible.”
She turned towards me, “Do you know any way?”
I shook my head, “I actually avoided bringing the Demon Lord or his son up in the conversation once I got the information about his identity.”
Shrugging, I added, “While I trust Seraphina, she serves the man whose child you wish to annihilate. I guess we need to move with caution.”
She looked up at me, her brows elevated, as she asked in a hesitant voice, “Can…you do it? You know I can't help you in any way, right?”
It wasn't like Yuna didn't want to. She simply can't meddle with the other side unless she wants to start a dispute between the realms.
Without invitation or unless it's an official meeting arranged by the two realms, a Vanquisher couldn't stop into the Dark World.
So, yes, she can't help me.
However, “Didn’t we sign a contract? Surely, I will find a way.”
I would be visiting the other side frequently from now on, for training. And during those visits I would get to learn more about their customs and tradition.
Or maybe, I can lure that guy to the human realm? That doesn't sound too bad~
“Hey,” I heard Yuna’s voice and just as I turned, I found her lips pressing against mine.
It was a rough kiss, our lips connected, and then got locked in a fiery embrace..
She held my neck and climbed my lap.
She was dominating me, her tongue in my mouth and her hips slowly grinding against me.
After a few seconds, she finally parted from me and said,
“Thank you. You are helping me reach my destination.”
“Your revenge is your destination?” I asked with my brows elevated.
She nodded, making me frown, “Don't you find it too…simple and small? Don't you want to achieve something more? Like to have a family or something?”
She tilted her head, “Having a family is an achievement?”
I rolled my eyes, “You need to rethink your life direction. Revenge isn't the end point, it should be one of the checkpoints.”
She remained silent but I decided to let her think this on her own.
Getting up with her in my arms I told her, “I will call you if I get my hands on any information.” before resting her back on the couch.
She nodded and soon I walked out of her house.
Naturally, I didn't tell Yuna about the ambush.
Though I trust her somewhat, not enough to risk my life.
If she ends up informing her organization about the ambush, which she might do considering hundreds of lives were on the line, then I would be fucked.
So yeah, no taking risks.
On my way back home, I checked my phone.
Ah, I have three phones now.
One for Akisu.
One for Koori.
And one which I normally use.
Koori had texted her goddess, eager to meet again.
Well, we had quite the moment the last time we met.
She broke up with Naoko so she didn't feel guilty about getting together with Kasumi.
With a grin, I texted her,
[Are you free?]
Not a minute passed and she texted back,
[When?]
I thought for a moment. Shiori is at uni. Dad at work. Mom went to meet her friends. Akisu is visiting his relatives. So,
[Like right now?]
There was another pause, this time shorter before she said,
[But my parents are home.]
I hummed, thought for a moment, before telling her,
[I have a place to show you. Tell your parents that you would be returning late.]
I have a perfect place for our date in mind.
