Chapter 84: Melody’s abilities…

Following my CS class—which basically ignored the system-related things this time and focused entirely back on computer science basics, of which I knew most, so a little boring—I met back up with Melody at our dorm, where I began stripping as I should've yesterday, with Melody watching carefully. Thankfully, I was, uhm, used to it by now so it wasn't too awkward. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Once I had my pink clothes and blue shirt off, leaving me in my black lingerie and thigh highs, Melody's hand gently crept onto my shoulder, sending a little shiver through my body. Hot—no, cold. "You don't need to strip anymore."

"Hmm?" I glanced over at her, standing to my left, my hands frozen in place behind my back.

"It's been seven days." Really? Already? School just started… yeah I guess it has been seven days. Huh.

BDSysteM, open my status.

Say please?

Fuck you. Please.

Scarlet Diamond's System is a unique X tier, currently at level 7, with 8% progress completed towards level 8. She possesses 7914.06 credits. Her health and mana are both full at 560/560. Her strength is 560 and her agility is 560. Additionally, she has 40 submission and 20 points. Currently, there are no active effects applied.

I guess it really is gone. I got it… last Wednesday? After our zoo trip, I think. It was pretty late at night though, well past dinner and at the very least later than five thirty. "Did it end early?"

"I just made it day-based. Ended the moment we hit midnight." Melody replied as I dropped my hands to the sides since they were no longer needed. Makes sense. So last Wednesday counted as a full day, even though it wasn't. I kinda want to be naked though. Well, no. But naked or fully clothed. Now I'm just in my underwear. It's more embarrassing. I don't know.

Back to the topic at hand. "You can do that?"

"I can do a lot." Melody nodded, then made her way over to the couch. I followed behind without putting on my clothes since Melody never told me to. So. Yeah. If she wanted me in clothes she would've stopped me sooner. Horny Melody.

"You've got a decision to make." Melody paused right before sitting down. "Well, we've got a decision to make. For me."

As she sat down, I tilted my head questioningly like a good puppy, then sat down right beside her. "Another ability for you?"

Melody replied by sending me a status panel.

A Status Share originating from Melody presented a choice between two potential unlocks, described as gifts from her pet.

The first option is the Level 1 Mistress Ability 'Confidence Catalyst'. This ability increases the recipient's strength and agility based on their proximity to Melody's pet. The provided boost is 2x when within one meter, diminishing by 0.01x for every two centimeters of additional distance, down to a minimum multiplier of 1x. There is no resource cost associated with this ability.

The second option is the Level 1 Mistress Ability 'Always Together'. This allows the recipient to summon Melody's pet to their location at any time and from any place, conditional upon the pet's consent. Utilizing this ability consumes 90% of the recipient's maximum mana.

"The second one," I replied instantly. Don't get me wrong, the first one is great too, but teleportation? To Melody? Anytime? It'd be so easy to visit her! And we'd only need to buy one plane ticket since I can just teleport over.

I guess that's not really an issue anymore. But still, I want to be always together. Although the first might be better for Melody right now. Double stats, just always since we're never more than a meter away from one another, is really nice. "Or the first one."

Melody chuckled. "Second one it is."

A 'Submission Level Up' notification was received. It indicated that the Mistress, having reached a submission score of 45, had unlocked an ability and subsequently shared it with the recipient. The notification also stated the recipient's progress towards level 8 is currently 33%.

The shared ability is 'Always Together', identified as a Level 1 Mistress Ability. It grants the recipient the capability to summon their own pet to their location anytime and anywhere, conditional upon the pet's consent. The mana cost for using this ability is 90% of the recipient's maximum mana.

Well that's nice. "We should test it."

"Really?" Melody sighed, standing up and walking over to the TV. "90% of my mana is a lot, you know? What will you do to pay for the cost?"

Eh? Umm. I just realized that actually is a lot. And it doesn't even matter if you get stronger. It's percentage based. I hope we can lower that. I don't know what Melody's mana regeneration rate is, but 90% is bound to take a long-ass time. That's kind of insane. But uh… "I'll be your puppy?"

Melody crossed her arms, tilting her head and staring down at me before replying. "You already are."

Shit. I've been caught. What else can I do? I'm already her puppy and her kitten and her, uh, flamingo… I can be her… animals won't work. She'll just say I'm already all of her animals since I'm a zoo or whatever. Objects? Table? I guess? "I'll be your table?"

Melody smiled as her head dropped down to hide it. She let go of her arms and dropped them back to her sides. "That works. Okay table. Get on all fours and I'll summon you."

Really? Right now? I thought I'd pay her back later, like in bed, tonight, not… now. Also why the fuck did I say table?! That's like… how do I be a horny table? Being a pet means I can act dumb and whine and cum but being an object is just being ignored and denied, that's torture! Blegh, whatever. It's fine if I'm Melody's table, I'm at least useful to her.

I stood up from the couch and stared down at the floor, at my socked feet, then dropped to all fours, placing my forearms and shins flat on the ground, the moment I did so, another system popup appeared.

A notification panel displays a teleportation request originating from Melody. The message states that the Mistress (Melody) has initiated a request to teleport the recipient to her location. It concludes by asking the recipient whether they wish to accept the teleportation request.

Yes, of course.

Immediately, my vision clouded with black, and a split second later, it reappeared. I was still looking down at the floor, but as I tilted my head up… yeah. I teleported. I could see the TV on its table, Melody's leg just to my right, and the couch and table I was at mere seconds ago to my left.

And I didn't feel sick. The media lies. Don't believe them. Teleportation doesn't make you vomit.

"That's pretty cool," Melody said from above me.

"Yeah," I agreed, still on all fours. And then we were silent for about thirty seconds. Melody was probably trying to decide how best to use her table. Oh yeah, tables don't speak. I shouldn't have spoken.

"Stay here," Melody ordered, before setting some cold metal rectangle down on my back, probably her phone, although it was heavier than I expected.

I obeyed and watched Melody's feet wrapped in their black stockings as she sauntered away, all the way to the door… and left. Okay. Bye. I'll just… be tabling over here.

What do tables do when they're left with so much down time? Must be boring. I feel bad for all the tables out there. They can't even think like me, so they must be really really bored.

I guess I can look over my system again. See if anything else changed. Open my status, please.

Tables don't have statuses. BDSysteM replied and I swear I heard a chuckle.

Stupid system. You know, I'm not a table.

Did you not just say you were a table?

I said I was Melody's table, I'm not just a table. I'm only a table to Melody. See what I mean? Basically, since you're not Melody I'm not a table to you.

That's some puppy-brain logic for sure.

Open please? I begged, in my mental puppy voice.

Scarlet Diamond's BDSysteM is a unique X tier, currently at level 7, with 33% progress completed towards level 8. She possesses 7914.06 credits. Her health and mana are both full at 560/560. Her strength is 560 and her agility is 560. Additionally, her submission score is 45 and she has 25 points. Currently, there are no active effects applied.

Looks like I gained some more points. You gonna spill the beans yet?

Level ten, table.

Also gained some experience. Nothing crazy. Well, nothing crazier than getting stronger for just having sex and shit.

At that moment, Melody decided to return from her short, few-minute stint. I watched as she approached me again, carrying a bag of chips in her hands. Instead of walking all the way over to me, she sat down by the couch, then asked, "Are your elbows and knees doing fine, table?"

I nodded. They were starting to get a little sore, now that my mind wasn't focused on other things, but nowhere near painful. Thank god I'm not old. It'd be hard to be an old table.

"Come over here. I have need of you." Melody smiled, pulling open her chip bag. I fear this so-called need might be a little dirty, specifically for my back. "And don't drop my phone. It's worth more than you."

Fuck that's hot. Say that again, Melody. Phones are pretty expensive, but being worth less than one… you know, phones are quite replaceable. Break one, you buy another. Just like me. Melody's breakable, replaceable, little table. Really horny table that wants to drop the phone on its back and earn a very expensive punishment.

I walked, crawled, over to Melody slowly, sliding my forearms and shins along the ground to maintain my stability so the phone wouldn't fall off of my back. It wasn't difficult thankfully, as long as I didn't go too fast.

Eventually, I made it over, and entered the narrow passageway between the real table and the couch, then finally slid right in front of Melody, her still clad feet resting beneath me.

Once I stopped, Melody grabbed her phone, relieving the pressure on my back, but soon replaced it with some very light, crumbly chips as she poured the bag all over her table…
