Ch 130: A spear to kill a King.

Asuna thought that Choe Neng Poww's frustration must have reached its peak, as he stopped trying to punch, grab or kick her, and drew his Zanpakuto. The weapon, of a normal size to someone of average height, looked like a thin steak knife in his enormous hands

"What's this?" laughed Asuna. "Am I not just a mere Shinigami trainee? One who doesn't even have a Bankai? And yet this big guy feels the need to use his Trump card against the puny me?"

"Insolent! I am doing you the honor of witnessing my Resurreccion! Breathe, Calderon!"

The Zanpakuto in his hands shone with a green light and exploded in sparks. And Choe Neng Poww's body began to inflate. In seconds, his body had taken a droplet-like form supported by thick, small legs. The front of his body, from his mouth to his crotch, was covered by something that looked like the white grooved throat of a whale. And his height now exceeded even Yammy's resurrection, easily sixty or seventy meters tall.

Asuna wasn't impressed, and kept charging her light sword, now close to four meters in length. One nice thing about her Shikai's ability was that, as the kept feeding the light sword with her reiatsu, the sword didn't just grow in size, but also in density, becoming harder to stop or break. And during a previous test done at night in the quiet forest near the Soul Society's academy, she had exceeded eight meters in length.

Back then, the resulting explosion when she had fired it high in the air hadn't done any damage, but the resulting discharge had still been felt by some Shinigami, and she had been scolded a lot. Then praised for having a strong Shikai.

Choe Neng Poww tried to smash her to the ground, sending her a fist that was easily five meters wide, but Asuna jumped away. The shockwave created by the impact caused every building within fifty meters to collapse, but Asuna was unharmed.

She increased the distance between her and her opponent, and Choe Neng Poww jumped toward her. She evaded easily, and the Arrancar opened his mouth to charge a Cero. Asuna pointed her index at his mouth.

"Hado n°4: Byakurai!"

The lightning bolt coming from her finger disrupted the Cero, making it explode. Choe Neng Poww screamed in both pain and rage as his tongue, gums and lips got severe burns. He jumped forward again and tried to grab Asuna, but she easily evaded.

After several more attempts from Choe Neng Poww, Asuna concluded that in his resurreccion form, Choe Neng Poww's strength and resistance was much higher, but his speed was significantly slower, and he couldn't use Sonido. Against an agile opponent like Asuna, resorting to the Resurreccion was a stupid move.

And she was about to make him pay for his stupidity. The sword of light floating behind her was now about seven meters in length. She pointed it toward the Arrancar's face, and fired it.

Seeing the huge projectile made of bright blue light coming, Choe Neng Poww crossed his arms in front of his face and braced himself. He expected to take some injury, but his arms were though. The injury wouldn't be incapacitating.

He was wrong.

The sword of light didn't just pierce his skin to bite into his flesh. It blew through his arms without slowing down, the reiatsu emanating from it creating cavitation shockwaves that mangled his flesh around the puncture wound, enlarging it. The sword continued on its way and impacted Choe Neng Poww's forehead, penetrated his brain, killing him, and passed through the back of his skull.

The whale-like Arrancar's body fell forward as the sword of light continued on its way for a hundred meters, then shattered into hundreds of fragments.

Fragments that Asuna turned into swords, and she pointed them toward the last two of Barragan's Fraccion. They were both looking at Barragan activating his own Resurreccion, and didn't notice the approaching swords until it was too late. Each of them got their torso pierced by at least a dozen swords, and they fell, already incapacitated.

Asuna looked at them while shaking her head. The need to keep situational awareness at all times had been a lesson she had painfully learned in Aincrad. Those two Fraccion were obviously too used to single one on one battles.

Barragan did notice, and he stared at her. His resurreccion was over, and he now looked like a lich with a golden crown over his naked skull. The huge black axe reappeared in his skeletal hand, and he pointed it at Asuna.

"You will pay for this." promised Barragan.

He expanded the black miasma surrounding him and looked at Soi Fong.

"Respira." said Barragan, and a burst of miasma was projected toward her.

She immediately used Shunpo to get well away from it. She knew, from what Noah had told her when he gave a briefing to the Gotei 13, just how dangerous the miasma was.

Barragan's power was all about time manipulation, and decay. Had the Miasma touched any part of her body, Soi Fong's flesh would rot and disappear, and her bones would follow shortly after. The rot would spread from the point of contact at a rate of several centimeters per second, and the only way to avoid death would be to cut off the affected part.

This terrifying power also was an absolute defense for Barragan. The miasma emanating from his body over a range of several meters guaranteed that anyone trying to get withing melee range would experience near instant death, and any projectile or magic would decompose into nothingness before it reached him.

"How long will you be able to evade? I am death personified! Respira!"

More bursts of Miasma were shot toward Soi Fong and Byakuya, with no greater result than turning some buildings into ruins.

"Senbonzakura Kageyoshi (Vibrant display of a thousand cherry blossoms)."

Byakuya Kuchiki unleashed his own Bankai, his Zanpakuto disappearing. Instead, thirty giant blades emerged from the air, and they turned into hundreds of thousands of pink petals. Each of those petals was as sharp as a blade, and Byakuya sent a wave of them to test Barragan's defense.

Without surprise, after entering the miasma, all the petals dissipated into nothingness before crossing twenty percent of the distance necessary to reach Barragan.

"It is completely useless. You maggots should resign…" Barragan paused as he saw the young male from the anti-demon corps appear twenty meters from him, using Shunpo. He held his Zanpakuto in his right hand, while the left hand held what looked like… an iron spear?

Noah threw the spear with as much strength as he could. It broke the sound barrier and entered the miasma.

Barragan made no attempt to move, already about to taunt this new opponent for his stupidity, and the spear hit him under the sternum, the spearhead burying itself into his body.

For the first time since Barragan fought Aizen, Barragan experienced pain.

"How?" he gasped, staring wide eyed at Noah.

Noah smiled as he put some distance between them, expecting to be targeted by a burst of Respira at any moment. It wouldn't kill him, since he was immortal and was immune to curses, but his clothes were not, and he didn't want to end up naked in such company.

He grinned as he took another spear from his inventory.

"Iron. The universe's nuclear ashes, and the most stable matter. Even in a trillion years, iron will still be around. I only added a layer of chrome to prevent oxidation on its way in… And a bit of rune magic, to neutralize your defense against your own power."

Barragan's eyes widened in shock, and he stared down at his own body. There were several spots in his hands, legs and especially around the wound on his chest, where his bones were marred by black cavities. Those cavities were growing, and more appeared every instant.

"Damn you!" screamed Barragan, sending a burst of miasma at Noah. Actively using his power only stimulated the decay of his own body, and his right arm, weighted by the axe he was still holding, was the first to fall, the bones eroding away.

"I can't forgive you ants! Arggghhhhh…"

The rot reached Barragan's head, making him unable to speak anymore, and in seconds, his whole body had turned into nothingness. The miasma disappeared with him.

Before Noah could rejoice, someone appeared in his back, and the magic Noah had set up to defend against surprise attacks in his blind spot activated, opening a Hole as a shield before Aizen's sword could pierce Noah's flesh.

He turned in a hurry, slashing, and Aizen stepped back.

"You are intensely irritating." said Aizen flatly.

"It's good that my efforts are recognized." nodded Noah.

"I have been trying to get the captains to fight you, but they aren't moving. Is this also your doing?"

"Yes. The effect of your Complete Hypnotism is comparable to a lingering curse, and I am very good at removing curses. I dealt with that shortly after you left Soul Society."

"…I see." Aizen didn't attack further, as he saw the Shinigami make their move at last. Captain-Commander Yamamoto had unsheathed his Zanpakuto, and intense heat radiated from his blade, Urahara and Yoruichi were getting closer, and the eight Visored, the former Shinigami Captains and Lieutenants that Aizen had tried to turn into Hollows a century ago, appeared not far, ready to act in an instant.

Starrk was still alive, but injured, and Yammy had been blinded by Fubuki's repeated strikes on his weak points and was losing strength. Gin Ichimaru was simply watching, one hand on the hilt of his Zanpakuto, ready to defend himself if needed. Two of the Captains were keeping a close watch on him, but didn't act.

Seeing the situation, Aizen… dropped his weapon.

"I surrender." he said calmly, his face losing all expression.

Noah blinked, but quickly realized that he shouldn't be surprised. Aizen might be an amoral monster, but he also was a rational one, and even he wouldn't be able to face such odds. Even in the original fiction, when Aizen was sentenced to ten thousand years of being bond on a chair and sealed in darkness, he only displayed an arrogant calm, like it didn't really matter… or he knew he would get out, one way or another.

Kisuke Urahara, who was very proficient in sealing magic, quickly applied several types of restraints to Aizen, who didn't resist.

Seeing that Aizen had surrendered, Gin took his hand off the hilt of his Zanpakuto and lifted both hands in the air.

Ren stopped attacking Starrk, and told him to return to Hueco Mundo. Kenpachi protested, until Ren told him she's visit him again later for another spar. This satisfied the lunatic and he let Starrk go as well.

Noah used Shunpo to go near Fubuki, and Ren and Asuna appeared by his side.

"Do you mind if we help?" asked Noah as he looked at the screaming Arrancar.

"I don't. This battle is boring. There's no technique in his moves, he's only flailing around like a beast." said Fubuki with disappointment.

"Well, in his defense, you did blind him…" shrugged Noah, before they got to work. With the four of them together, it only took seconds to dismember and kill Yammy.

"And that is done." smiled Noah. He flew closer to the group of Shinigami.

"Urahara-san, Captain-Commander, my partners and I will return home."

"Yes, Kuro-kun. Soul Society owes you. Thank you for your assistance." said the Captain-Commander.

"You're welcome. Please contact us again when the Quincy start showing up. And before I forget, if you see a female Arrancar with long pale green hair named Nell and her two Fraccion, please don't attack them, they are friends and helped us save Orihime."

Noah used Senjutsu to create an illusion showing Nell, Pesshe and Donchakka, and the Captains and Lieutenants present nodded.

With one last glance to Aizen, Noah returned to his partners.

"Let's celebrate our victory. And starting tomorrow, I will give you your rewards."

"Yes!" cheered the girls.

In order to convince them to take part in that whole Sentai Ranger farce, Noah had agreed to reward each girl with a date that would last a whole day, featuring romantic dinners, theme parks and other activities, followed by a five days (subjective) vacation into their soul space during the night.

It would be intense and demanding for Noah, but he also looked forward to it.
