Chapter 495 – A Son

"Oh, FUCK!" I scream out through two voices. "Space, now wasn't the time to throw me another body! Kou? Kelly? They want out."

"I guessed that part," Kelly says. "Kou, can you get Rosemary? I don't trust myself to help deliver a Goddess without help, and Rosemary should want to help with this."

"I don't care," I say. "Just. Need. Room."

"Don't worry, dear, I'm moving us all," Nanoka says. "Just focus on your breathing and whatever else Kelly tells you to do. She can handle this. Don't put yourself down, Kelly. I'll get Rosemary once you're clear, but you two can do this. I'll take your newest body away as well."

Nanoka moves fast as the babies make sure I know their desire to join the world. Kelly does her best to crawl through the massive bed, but her own growing belly makes it slow work until Nanoka can clear the way out for her.

Kelly helps me strip out of my nightgown, my contractions still far enough apart that we don't have to worry about them pushing the babies out yet. Mommy is putting pillows around me so I can try to have some comfort during what is going to be a long labor. Hopefully, the Goddess comes out last. I doubt I'll have the energy for the rest of them after pushing her out if I still have all the dragons in there.

"How are you feeling?" Mommy asks. "Let me know if I need to help you move. You know the process."

"I still have a bit of time before everything truly starts up," I say. "I'm good right now. Thank you, everyone."

"We need to think about when everyone will be going into labor so we don't have to rush everyone out in the morning," Mommy says. "But just focus on you and the babies, and tell us if you want any more people here."

"Thanks," I say. "But I do like them all being with me."

"Well, sorry to say this, but spread them," Kelly says. "It's time to check things out."

"Ok," I say. "Mai, please?"

"I'm here, dear," Mai says. "We've got you."

"Thanks," I say.

...

"Last dragon," Kelly says. "She looks like the Priestess's child. You're so close. You've got this."

"No. No, there's another after," I say. Why do they all have to be dragons? Why couldn't I have a cute cat, or a human, or an elf? They hurt so much. They hurt, and I still have a Goddess to go.

"You went and had sex with a Goddess," Rosemary says. "You've been popping out dragons, and if that last one is a Goddess, I'm going to spank your ass. You have to be careful, Alzi. You shouldn't be carrying so many kids at once, and then add in a Goddess, too!"

"Just help," I cry out. "I'm learning that now!"

"Sorry, I haven't overseen a birth in a few years, and they're normally normal," Rosemary says. "But you've had larger pregnancies before, so you'll be fine. Just breathe and push. Perfect. The little girl is almost out, and then we have just one more."

"I won't say much about the count, since I'm part of the problem there. But you're doing well," Kelly says. "You've been in labor for longer before. You've got this. The babies are waiting for you this time. Do what your body wants you to."

"Ahh!" I scream out with yet another contraction in my life and this long day. A few seconds pass, and then I hear the cries of the new baby.

"Just the Goddess is left," Kelly says. "Relax the best you can."

"NOPE!" I scream. The pressure of the next baby is already sweeping through my body. Someone can't wait to greet the world.

"Crowning," Rosemary says. "A, the Goddess wants out."

Of course, my babies want out quickly. Maybe she'll come out easily? Fuck. No. That isn't how this will go. Painfully, all the way through.

"Relax your breathing," Kelly reminds me. "You've birthed two Goddesses before. You can handle a single Goddess."

"I know," I say. It is really annoying that I'm now a decent midwife, have given birth a lot, and am struggling to keep it together. I know what I need to do, but everything hurts.

...

"Um, slight problem," Kelly says. "It's a boy. Do you feel any more contractions? Did you let someone slip in two kids?"

"No," I sigh. "Fertility must have messed up, or the baby didn't get enough of something to turn divine, or was a male so that they couldn't become divine."

'Alzi, you know that isn't right. Sorry, but things need to move quickly.'

Nakuma pops into the room and steals the baby from Kelly's hands. I'm too confused to say or do anything before she disappears.

"What?" Rosemary asks. "Boys happen. Why did she take him?"

'Space!'

'He needs to stay with his sisters for a bit. He's ruffled some feathers up here. Mother felt her little curse disappear and didn't have the decency to keep quiet about it. It wasn't long before people spotted a strange divine being near our favorite dragon. Well, dragonkin. You'll be changing soon. Dragon doesn't care about the boy and is completely focused on your change. I would get outside quickly. She doesn't know if you'll be forced to change forms or not.'

"Nanoka, get me outside and away from everything!" I scream. What the fuck is going on?! "I can't crush my babies!"

"We're out, we're out," Nanoka says. "Everything is going to be fine. Geta knows something is up, and she promised to defend us."

"Goddesses. They may come," I say.

"Oh, well, if they do, what happens, happens," Nanoka says. "I'll let the succubi know. Maybe their Mother can help us, and I'll send Yuki to pray to Kitsune. It's about helping you, so it won't matter that it's Yuki who's going. Nakuma needs to stay to support me in moving everyone. We're already on lockdown. You should be able to tell that with your other bodies."

"Yes," I say. A small itch is running down my spine, tickling every bone in my spine until it reaches my tail. "Oh, shit, I'm growing again."

"I'm sorry, I wish you could just relax with your babies right now," Nanoka says. She starts to rock me gently in her arms, careful to let my dragon features have room to grow. "Don't worry. The babies are safe, and they are yours. We're bringing them to your second bodies now for their first feeding. We wouldn't dare take that from you. Just work through this. I'm not going anywhere. My Mother is already here and watching over the compound. My daughter is on call. Just worry about yourself. We'll handle everything else."

"Thank you," I say. "Don't forget you're pregnant."

"Oh, I feel that," Nanoka chuckles. "If you ever put five in me again, you'd better be ready to give me a few massages, or something, because I'm not going to be able to stay mad at you, but I would still like something for the struggle."

"I like that trade," I say. More time with some beautiful tails and the chance to make even more of them? Nanoka is getting soft in her pregnancy.

"Your wings are growing," Nanoka says. "Does it hurt?"

"Not much," I say. "It's more of a tickle. I don't think they have far to go. I feel more of an itch to change my body completely."

"Do you want some space, then?" Nanoka asks. "You're going to look so beautiful as a dragon."

I try to respond, but I find myself staring at the world. Or the woman who creepily stares at the world.

"You dare to give birth to a male god?!" the world says. Her white eyes are just staring at the ceiling, and her belly is showing the result of my last visit. And of course, I remember that silly thing that I forgot, or that someone hid from me.

"Yes," I say. "I didn't pick it, but I'm happy to do it. I'm not sure why you care. You haven't been doing your job, so you can shut the fuck up about it."

"Maybe I'll end you all right now," the world says. "That ungrateful child poisoned everything. Maybe I can just try again, build it all from a clean slate this time."

"You won't. You can't," I say. I don't like the sound of her scheming things. I need to figure out how to remember that she exists when I leave here. "I have more than one body. I may move slowly, but I'm already writing about you. I just need someone smart enough to put the pieces together when I disappear. Kitsunes have plenty of those around, and the Goddess of Writing should be about ready to give birth to the Goddess who can figure it out. Death will come for you. I'm sure she'll love to have you as a toy."

"Do you think I can't wipe a few scribbles out of the world?" the world says. "Do you think I can't make everyone forget about you?"

"No, I don't think you can," I say. "You hide because you're weak or something." Dragon, what are you doing to me?! I'm threatening the entire damn world right now. But it does feel nice. I just wish there was someone else here to witness me doing this. I don't even feel like the world is seeing this. She looks more like a pregnant ghost than a woman.

"I'm more than a person," the world says. "I'm everything. They can't kill me without destroying themselves. I just don't want an idiot testing that."

"Then shut up about everything and deal with the simple fact that this is all because you failed to do your job," I say. "I'm going to remember you now when I leave this room. I'm going to have Space learn how to send me here, and when you give birth, I'm going to pop right in here and fuck you again and again until you learn to do your part in filling out the Goddesses, and Gods, if there are more of them that need to exist. I'm tired, I'm going through a bunch of changes, and I have babies I want to hold. And I don't care about you; you're annoying and stupid. So what if the world has a few demonesses running around? She hasn't done anything wrong. She's killed the one who poisoned you and then the two idiots who were trying to destroy the world. That's a better track record than your Goddesses. Now send me back. I don't care about you, and I want to see what I look like when I'm in my new dragon form. I was quite comfortable with my wife. And if you can do something about the stupid Goddesses not liking my newest son as well? If you do, I'll make our breeding sessions pleasant for us both."

"You won't remember me until you come back up here again," the world says. "But you'll be back here to help me. I've only ever had kids one at a time."

"You'll get used to it," I say. "Now don't mind me as I cut into myself the fact that you exist. You don't get to threaten me and run away."

"I'm not going to do anything," the world says. "I'm just- Sorry. I'm grumpy, and something surprising happened that made me think about when Malralloz was born. Male Gods are fine. I'm expecting a few more eventually. I don't pick, but I have an idea of what will come. Pregnancies are hard on me. I have a lot to focus on, and now I have two little kids I have to grow, and I can feel one of them turning into a demon, and then I felt your son, and I got set off. I'm sorry. Don't hurt yourself. Just a few more Goddesses, and hopefully, I'll have purged this poison, and you'll remember me soon. You're turning into a Goddess soon anyway, and I won't be able to control your mind then. Can you rest with me for a bit? Please? It feels good when you touch me. And yes, that is even without your Skills. Just for a few minutes."

"Fine," I say. "But I don't trust you."

"You're right," the world says. "I was scared and stupid. We can work together to fix things. It won't be perfect, it never will be, but it can be better. Thank you for correcting me."

"One more chance," I say. "One more instance like this, and I'll be done playing nice with you."

"Thank you," the world says.

The bed grows a bit wider, and I dare to slip in next to her. I rest a hand on her belly and my head on her tits and listen to her heartbeat. A soft, slow thud... That is speeding up.

She's just jealous of my wives.

"I am not."
