Chapter 470 – A Quick Final Marriage

Love is going to pull me up again, isn't she? I hope I don't have to deal with her again after this. It should just be Yzzorres that could cause me to have another marriage, and that won't be with Love overseeing it. A complete harem. It'll be nice to have that part done. I need to start getting things over and done with so I can just spend time with kids. I didn't spend as much time with them last night as I would've liked. Yes, they got tired, but we could've started earlier in the day if I didn't have things to do.

If only it were that easy. Would I have more free time if I were a Goddess? Nobody could tell me what to do. I would be too strong for anyone to force me to do anything. I mean, Fertility did nothing for so long that people gave her a nickname for it. I can just force Elo, Elora, and Shimmer, if she gets the crown, to do all the work for me.

Kitsune, you'd better make me a Goddess soon. That'll solve some of my problems. It's kind of crazy to be thinking that thought so naturally. I was a slave, ready to end it all, but now I have an oversized family with so many kids that I can disappear in them, and I'm demanding to become a Goddess.

Who even am I anymore?

Ok, that's just silly. I'm still Alzi. Why am I thinking so much about all of this right now? I've got two free days before the big move, once I've married Yumanea, and I'm spending my time thinking about such silly things. What is the point of that?

I've never had a real crowd at my weddings. It's kind of funny how it's always just a few people, if I even have anyone in the audience. Kiyomi is here for some reason. I thought I did enough for her to leave last night, but she must be trying to get me to like her more.

And there's Yumanea, finally coming down the aisle. She's in a simple red dress, and I'm in a green dress; none of us wanted to get fancied up for today. In fact, Kiyomi put more effort into her clothing than we did, with Nesh, Lotus, and Rosemary in simple dresses as well. I only dragged Elora out here with me, though Eterna is still attached to me. So, it's a small group for the early morning marriage.

Here we go. "Hello, Love," I say. I'm not in her courtroom this time, or even in her office. Is someone hopeful? She isn't shaking her tits either, so she's probably just trying to be nice.

"Hello," Love says. "You're doing well, as far as my affinity goes. There is still the problem of Azula, but I can let that one be. It is complicated, after all. But I'm sure you'll figure it out."

"Anything else?" I ask. Maybe she does just want to annoy me.

"Well, yes," Love says. "I heard you were thinking of running to my temple and offering me a kid for safety."

"It was a thought, along with running to Yzzorres," I say. Of course, she lets those thoughts go to her head.

"I'm glad to hear about it," Love says. "I'm happy to be thought about like that. It would be funny if I lost my little racket here by protecting someone who doesn't like me."

"You know this is stupid?" I ask.

"I kind of have to admit it when a person who threatened to kill me kills two Goddesses and tricks a third into running into Death's embrace. I would have to be either stupid or asking for my head to roll in the future. The two masterminds are still running around, after all."

"I would love to have a marriage outside of your temple, or maybe in a shared temple thing," I say. "Yzzorres refuses to be married by you."

"Well, that hurts," Love says. "But it's your choice. Part of bringing you up here was to annoy you. You've caused me a lot of headaches, and I agree that this will likely be my last chance to cause you one."

Do I care enough to marry Yzzorres? It seems the kids are likely to be random, so there's no way to guarantee that I'll get Marriage out of her. "Would I get more?" I ask.

"Not really," Love says. "There isn't much to give you at this point. You're on your way to being someone who can get exactly what I can give you. You've got love already, so it would just be some fun in bed if you care about that with a new Goddess."

"I'll think about it," I say. "It's kind of early in the day."

"Of course," Love says. "I didn't expect much to happen today. Have a good day, and thank you for marrying Yumanea. She's hurt you a lot, so don't feel like you need to rush to love her or anything, but she could use some help with feeling better. You both could use a bit of help in that regard."

Love sends me away as fast as she took me up. Well, at least the visit was short this time.

"Thank you for joining us," the Priestess says, trying to make this an actual thing. Which is strange with such a tiny audience, but ok. "This family has come far and has had a rough journey. I'm happy that they're finding love and growing so well. I wish you all the best for the future. Now, the required words. Do you all love one another and promise to work together in your marriage?"

"Yes," I say.

"Yes," Yumanea follows.

"Then be married," the Priestess says.

Well, it's time to play with my kids for a day. Maybe tomorrow, I can visit my home village and see what the silver mayor has to say about things. It could be interesting while I'm still around here. I need to check with Shyla and Kou about what I need to do to be ready for the move. I don't have many things to carry. I have most of my important stuff in my tattoos, and Shyla always carries the fancy dresses for me. So, it should just be the babies I have to worry about.

"Do you wish to handle court today? Or would you prefer to have Elora handle it?" Yumanea asks.

"Elora," I say. "I had enough trouble the first time I went to court. Well, I guess I should show up. I do have to show up for the one time at least. And occasionally after as well. I did take the crown, so I have to do some work."

"It would be a good thing," Yumanea says. "I'll be there as well as Elora. She's prepared to take on most of the responsibilities. Eterna would be a fine woman to bring as well. That should keep things orderly. I wish that your time in court will be nice and productive, but it's difficult to get things flowing for the first few months. Nobles like to test boundaries."

Well, there goes part of my day. Maybe I can handle Ashryn during court and finish that up, too. I'll still have some dealings with her after the sentencing, since someone has to keep her bloated with children, but that would finish off most of my dealings with her.

"I have to get dressed, then," I say.

"Shyla will be happy about that, My Empress," Kou says. "Shall we get you prepared?"

"Yes," I say. "Does it start soon?"

"Soon enough to start getting ready, My Empress," Kou says.

"Of course it is," I say. "I suppose that means I'll get more time in the afternoon to play with my kids. Let's get ready, then."

*** Victoria ***

"Empress Alzi is going to be holding court today," Stacy says. It is fucking nice having her around. It saves me from having to spend some time thinking about useless shit. Or maybe I just get to fucking sleep more when she's around.

"Why the fuck do I care?" I ask.

"I don't know, my Lady," Stacy says. "I just wanted to let you know about it. The maids have been gossiping about what would happen to Ashryn. Most think Empress Alzi will have to fight the nobles a bit to give her a good punishment. Some of them have been getting Ashryn ready for it. They think the permanent solution is going to be decided today in court."

"Fuck," I say. "Fuck this shit. Get the fuck up. I have to get dressed for the damn thing now. Why the fuck does Alzi have to do that during fucking court? Just ship the bitch off to some brothel or tie her up as a fuck toy and let it fucking be! Goddesses damn it. Making me fucking get up... Those noble bitches are going to cause so many fucking problems."

"Oh, ok, I'll let Kou know that you would like to join them at court," Stacy says, jumping up.

"I don't fucking want to join them. I have to fucking join them," I say. "Don't let them get the wrong fucking idea! Now, how do I have to fucking dress up for this shit? Damn nobles."

"Shyla has made sure that everyone has a dress for court, just in case, my Lady," Stacy says. "I'll get it out."

*** Alzi ***

This had better go better than how the one with the Dragons did. I don't think Yumanea is anywhere near as scary as Elo is, though I could get Eterna to help out. If she isn't able to scare the nobles, then they're just too stupid to be scared.

The biggest surprise is Victoria showing up at the event. If Eterna isn't willing to help me out, I can just set her on the nobles. But I do wonder why she got dressed today and showed up. I would've thought she would be hugging Stacy in bed, or if she really wanted to get dressed, she would be working out with Geta or something.

"Ready?" Yumanea asks. "The first part is simple. Walk in, sit down on the throne, and tell everyone that they can be seated. Give a speech if you want, or go straight into asking about their issues. There'll be a lot more people around than normal today."

"Easy enough," I say. "Let's see how demanding they are."

The throne room is a lot less fun when my kids aren't inside it. Sure, it looks beautiful with the gold and paintings and tapestries and large display of wealth, but my kids are better. The nobles all stand when I walk into the room, and some maid is calling out the names of my wives who are joining me.

The strange part is when Elora sits on the armrest of my throne, with Yumanea taking the smaller chair to my right, and Eterna taking the other armrest, while Victoria just plops herself down on the left chair.

"Please, be seated," I say. "I know we have much to do to clean up and rebuild after the devastating wars. We'll have to work hard together to complete this work, and the crown is ready to support you as well. My family now has a lot of healing power, and I plan to share that with everyone throughout the nation. We'll need everyone to help build our nation back up to be stronger than it was before." Do I just start with my punishment of Ashryn? That would be a good thing, right? A show of power and force. They would have to be more willing to work with me if I demonstrate the reason why they should. "To start, we'll put an end to one of the last reasons for the war. Ashryn. Her actions against me put us all at risk and left the Queendom unable to work with the Goddesses to keep them from starting a war. Specifically, the last war, which inflicted so much pain on every family."

"Sentence her for how she treated a slave?" a noble asks.

"Yes," I say. "We have to think about our actions, about what is fair and right. We must understand that our actions can have consequences much worse than we ever thought."

"We haven't forgotten about what you did to the other brothel owners," another says. "They saved too many lives for us to speak against it. But the war is over now. Do nobles have to worry about every little thing they do? If they turn away from a needy child in a rush, are they going to have to worry about losing their land?"

"Fuckers," Victoria says. "You shits really can't just shut the fuck up and listen to the Empress. Making me get out of my fucking bed and come down here... Fuck. Sorry, Alzi, but these bitches are whining too much. So, you fucks, since you're so worried about keeping your damn power, let me explain how this is a perfectly just fucking punishment."
