Chapter 286 – Who is to Blame?

*** Alzi ***

"Lady Alzi," someone says. "Please follow me. Your lovers should join us. The Queen would like to have the meeting in the Temple of Fertility."

"Come on, my little rainbow," Mommy says. "The Queen has been kind to us. We can give her a meeting and see what happens."

"Ok," I say. I doubt there is anything that she could give me that would be good for me. Maybe one of her other daughters is nice, and I could marry her instead.

"My Lady," Shyla says. "May I wait for my Mother? She is likely in a lot of pain right now. I will catch up immediately."

"Sure," I say. "But don't take too long. I'll likely need your help with the noble issues they are going to throw at me."

"Thank you, my Lady," Shyla says. "I will come as fast as possible for you."

Mother has to lead me out. My eyes aren't willing to leave my daughter and only son. I'm sure I'll have another eventually, as I don't have much of a choice on the matter of kids. I don't know how many I have on the way right now, but if Zarzi truly survives, that is a hundred. Then maybe Esiyae with another twenty. Isda, Vanya, Inanos, the Princess. The list is too long to remember. Even if I tried, I'd likely miss a few, and I know it will only grow. Even now, I want to pin my Mommy down again. Ilka and Akhae look like they want kids, too. Kelly, I'm sure, wants one of her own after helping me through so many births. And I want to give each of them a kid. Kids, honestly.

But I can focus on these two for now. Six kids for a bit. Mai should be giving birth soon as well, so seven.

And then I have Sarania. I promised her kid after kid when she wanted to be my servant.

The sun reflects off my daughter's golden horns, forcing me to look up and see the line of carriages. Twenty? Something like that are lined up. The front few are being filled already. The maid leads us to the back two. Mai, Mommy, and Sarania join me in one with the kids. I wish it could fit Ilka and Akhae as well since I don't want them to think they aren't important. Mommy loves them, so they must be good people, and they were nice when they visited me.

Back when I thought everything was going to be fine.

"Oh, baby," Mommy says. "Come here, sit close to Mommy. She has you now. Mommy has you now."

"How did this happen?" I ask. "I thought it would be simple."

"I know. I know. It shouldn't have been like this. I'm sorry for all the pain I caused you," Mommy says, her hand rubbing my wings. "If only I hadn't been so careless. I knew my sister was no good; I don't know what I was thinking."

"No," I say. "No, I was too stupid to go to a healer. I- I thought I needed money. How could I not see that I could pay differently?"

"You were scared and tired, baby. The Mistress took advantage of us. None of this is your fault, Alzi. You did your best, and I love you. You suffered because of me and your Aunt. You did the best you could, and I'm so proud of you. You're the best child I could ever have, and I love you. The Queen hasn't told me much, but she promised that we will be married today or tomorrow. Soon, we will be together forever."

"Thank you."

A long black furry tail whips around and snatches my own, wrapping tightly against my rainbow scales. "We may not be strong," Mai says. "But we'll be there with you from now on, supporting you however we can. And Esmeralda is happy that you got another one of her wives pregnant, so she'll support us as well."

How did I forget about them? I guess it isn't surprising that I would forget about a group wanting to work with useless little me.

No. No, I healed those women, and they thanked me. I kept so many of them alive and gave them back their limbs. I can do more. Fertility should be giving me better Skills and classes now, too. I have the magma thing working for me as well. I am kind of strong.

What do they want from me? Are they going to force me to get some of them pregnant? Some ritual I don't know about?

Just worry about the kids. Fertility should support me inside the temple.

*** Yuki ***

"What the fuck do you mean, they went to the Fertility Temple?" I say. "Do none of you know what a message is?! Having a Princess run around the capital with two prisoners and a Princess's maid is ridiculous. Give me a carriage. I won't be running to the temple just for them to decide to run off again."

"I will see if they have one ready for you," the guard says.

"Get me one," I say. It doesn't take long for the gate to open and a carriage to roll out. "Finally. Get in, you two, before I decide to take out my frustrations." The two slaves move quickly, even opening the door for me. I step in, and now it's time to see what is going on in the great temple.

They better not force Alzi to do a ritual.

Nakuma jumps into my arms and pins me to the seat. The only thing keeping her from stripping me is that I'm fluffing her tail. Will Alzi fluff my tails again? She was really good at it, but I wouldn't be surprised if she's tired of doing it.

Maybe only on special occasions... I need to pamper her for a few years, at least.

Can this carriage speed up? I don't trust that Queen. They've ruined too many of my plans. Alzi was supposed to find some weak-willed noble to control for a while so I could sneak her out of the damn Queendom without a fuss. Now, she's about to become the King.

With a bit of help, maybe I can make her the Queen behind the scenes, and that should let her move around. The dragons are the real problem after that, aren't they? I'm sure they're stirring right about now.

But I can let Mother figure that out. She'll hate whatever plan I come up with anyway.

*** Shimmer ***

The Queen gave me my own carriage.

I don't know if it was out of hate or to get me to talk to my Mother. Mother did contact me, though, so I'm guessing the second option, with some of the first as well. Nobody likes to be reminded that there are others stronger than them around.

I pull out the mirror fragment and pull her up. "Mother?" I say. For some reason, she is naked on her bed, a few members of her harem kissing her skin. If I had the chance to keep Alzi liking me, I would have loved to make my Mother like licking Alzi's cum from my pussy. Maybe I can still get Alzi to like me enough to help me take the throne. "I'm pregnant and working on getting married to Alzi again."

"I'm glad one of my kids can get pregnant," Mother says. "How did you fuck up so badly? All you had to do was stay by the damn dragon's side all day and night, fuck her until you pass out, and let her keep playing with you. One child. Think I want just one child from you two? I want an entire wing filled with your children, and now I can hardly get even one grandchild."

"You had me marry Elora, not Alzi. If that was the goal, then you should've forced the sale to go to me, and I would've gotten everything you wanted out of her. Alzi would be happy and safe and in my grasp. Instead, I had to act like I wanted Elora to be the stupid Queen."

"Don't deflect your incompetence onto me. You had one job, and the marriage would not force you to abandon it. You were just too short-sighted to figure out the solution. Alzi needed a guard. Why didn't you offer to be that guard? Let her figure out your secret. If Elora truly wanted to be the Queen, she wouldn't say anything. This is your fault, and then you went and promised a true Phoenix a meeting with a woman you can't force to meet her? I hope you are ready to face that issue. Because I'm not helping you out of that mess. I'm already busy cleaning up your other messes."

"Don't tell me what I could do in my marriage. You didn't have the stupid Goddess controlling you and limiting your options. Sure, that would make perfect sense, and I wanted to do that. I tried to stay near her, but up until Alzi got captured, we needed everyone to work, not sit around getting fucked by Alzi. I would love nothing more than to be warming her bed right now."

"You fell for her that bad and couldn't keep her safe a single fucking time," Mother sneers. "Embarrassing. Just be a good little submissive, like these dears, and hope Alzi's desire to breed strong wombs lets you stick around. I'm having to convince my sister to join Alzi when you fail. Getting her willing to submit to a young dragon is not easy."

Fuck, I need to see Alzi pound this bitch into the bed, filling her with children as I have her stupid harem pleasing me instead. Just once, Alzi. Can I get that? I'll wear a damn collar with a leash in public if I get that just once. I'll even let it be a slave collar for a hundred years.

"I don't need an example of how to act. I know how to please Alzi."

"Really? From my viewpoint, it looks like you only know how to drive her away. She wants nothing to do with you or your wife in the divorce and is clearly scared of all of you. Crawl naked into her lap if you need to. Become her slave wife. Do. Not. Lose. Her."

"I won't."

"Fine, I have some women ready to please me. Remember, I'm hard on you because I know you're better than this."

"Hmph." Elora is the one that fucked up. She made it impossible to do anything correctly. Fucking idiot.

*** Isda ***

"Aurora, hey, your daughter is here," I say. The divorce has been hard on Elora, but Aurora got the worst of it. Her pregnancy is in full swing, and now her aura has flared up again. She can hardly eat or drink right now. Hopefully, Alzi at least takes her back as a maid, even if she won't take us back.

"Mother? Oh, Mother, I'm sorry. I couldn't defend our Lady. I was useless when they came to take her away. Forgive me, please," Shyla says. "I'll get her to take you back. Even if I have to get thrown out. She is kind, and we were good to her. Good enough to keep working as her maids, at least. I promise. She accepted me back."

"Yes," Mother groans.

"Come," I say. "We need to hurry. I'm likely to be the last one there, as it is, and I'm the one who has hurt Lady Alzi the most. I'll work to try to get your Mother taken back as a maid again."

"Thank you, Lady Isda," Shyla says, taking a seat next to her Mother in the carriage.

What a shit show this is. Sex, why did you have to make this so hard? I don't know if I want to marry Alzi again or if I should find a hole to hide in.
