Chapter 270 – Three Little Ones
*** Sarania ***
I thought we would meet in peace, but instead, my Mistress is sweating in bed. She doesn't have a fever, and I have her naked without covers. Yet it continues, her face scrunching up as she shakes.
Sleep is important for her, but if all she is going to have is terrors?
All I can do is sigh and hope she gets better. I know of someone in the capital who can help with this issue, but she is likely part of the problem to begin with. Until then, I can just hold my Mistress tightly and hope her condition improves.
I'll find a way to help you, Alzi.
*** Elora ***
"Kill her," I say. "She's just a spy. String her up for the army to see and pull her limbs from their sockets."
"One problem," Geta says. "She's pregnant. It likely happened during the march. She claims it is Alzi's."
"At least let me break the fucking bitch's bones. She doesn't need them to provide our wife with her child."
"Call your Mother," Ioelena says. "We can deal with the changeling and Azula after we've informed the Queen of what has happened. She will want to know what happened, and your sister will need to know about the reinforcements."
Only Ioelena and Geta came with me to the tent. Or only Ioelena went with Geta as she took me to the command tent, the rest keeping the changeling and Azula De Vil company.
"Just let me get a few hits in."
"Elora! The fucking war," Geta says. "Our forces are already packing up to march. We'll get to Alzi and have plenty of time to punish those who took our wife and caused all the deaths. We need to talk to the Queen."
"Fine," I say. I toss out the mirror and wait to tell Mother she was right.
"Elora Elagwyn! This better be fucking important!" the Queen says. The battlefield is right behind her, blood covering her golden armor.
"They took Alzi," I say. "They kidnapped a healer. Shimmer somehow destroyed their army and is out cold right now. I believe Princess Eirina is dead, and her forces are no longer among the living."
"I told you to keep her in the fucking capital," Mother says. "Well, go after her."
"I'm splitting my forces in three. Some will join you, and some, my sister. Lyrei failed to inform me about a group of nobles missing from her opponent. They took Alzi. The rest of my troops will take Lomlen. They don't have anyone to defend them anymore."
"What do you mean there is no one to defend Lomlen?"
"I told you Princess Eirina is likely dead, and her troops are destroyed. Gone. They no longer exist. Just charred bodies in the frozen wasteland."
"Geta, is my daughter insane right now?"
"No, your Royal Highness," Geta says. "Shimmer summoned a beast that killed the army completely and thoroughly. No survivors have been found. Shimmer did not take kindly to the kidnapping, it seems. We do not know if she will wake up."
"I don't know if I should kill you, Elora, for losing a damn champion or just crown you as Queen for killing them all. Thank you for the troops, and I can't do much about the kidnapping now that you've killed their healers. An eye for an eye, there. Now, I have an Ice Queen to deal with."
My disheveled face fills the mirror, and I freeze. "She should kill me," I say, and I feel the tears coming. The first time was only partly my fault, but this one was entirely my fault. This one, I failed. I let a spy stay by my side for how long? I didn't have to bring Alzi along. I could've left her at home.
"Elora, dear," Ioelena says. "No. We all missed the changeling. We all thought it would be a good way for Alzi to get experience as a healer. Your sister failed to inform us of the missing nobles. Eirina dared to go against the rules yet again. Ok, the group taking Lomlen should be ready now. Let us start the march, and we can inform your sister later, just like she did with us."
"Ok."
*** Alzi ***
I wake up in a pool of sweat. Sarania is hugging me the best she can with her pregnant belly, the nightmares hounding me even now.
"I'm sorry, Alzi," Sarania says. "I'm sorry. I'm right here. Nothing will take me away from you. Ok? We'll figure this all out together." I shift around to hide my face in her breasts, tears streaming out as I try to forget everything. "Let it out, dear. It won't do you any good to keep it in."
...
Eventually, the tears stop coming, but why does that matter? The memories are still haunting me. Every crack of a whip, every time they pushed me until I passed out from the pain. How could they even call some of those sessions sex?
"Alzi," Sarania says. "I need to know what to call you. It isn't right for the servant to use your first name. I can use Lady if you like or Mistress. Mistress is more fitting, but I understand that may cause issues."
"Mistress is fine," I say. "Maybe it will help me."
"Ok, my Mistress," Sarania says. "I like that. I know of a woman who may be able to help you, and she owes you a number of favors. But she is in the capital, and I don't have a good way to get us there."
"The capital is where they all are," I say. "But first, I need to see Love."
"Sorry, my Mistress, we can't travel for a bit. This city is still under the control of the Edeozia Queendom. I'm strong, but I don't want to take any more chances with your life, and your kids are going to be coming soon."
Them. Yes, I need to have them somewhere safe. I can't risk it. The first three kids I'll get to keep. And then Sarania's kid. She should be due soon, right? "Your kid?"
"I've got a bit before they come, my Mistress," Sarania says. "For now, we just worry about your kids."
They want all the attention, it seems, as the first pains of labor hit. But this time, I only have three to push out. Just three little babies to love.
"My Mistress," Sarania says. "You can't give birth with my tits in your face. I'll be beside you."
"I've still got time to cry," I say. My kids come quick once they start, but I'm not like fertility yet. Will I get that practiced?
"Ok, my Mistress."
...
"My Mistress. Just a few more pushes, and the first will join us," Sarania says. She's been saying that for the past ten minutes.
"Have you participated in a single delivery?!" I scream out. "AAAAHHHHH!" follows as a contraction hits, and I force myself to push. Why is this time so much harder?
"No. But one more. I'm sure this time, my Mistress."
I give her the push and hope to hear a baby crying for me. Please. Why are these babies so hard to push out?
"Baby girl. A dragon, even, my Mistress," Sarania says. The baby was waiting for herself to be announced before letting loose with the normal cries. "Now, these next two will be difficult, my Mistress. But I'm here with you, and we'll get through this together, ok."
These will be hard? What was my first one, then?
"FUCK!" I scream. "Why?"
"My Mistress. I think you are giving birth to Goddesses. I'm sorry we can't do this in a temple. Just breathe with me, and we'll bring your children into the world."
"It hurts. Everything just hurts."
"I know, my Mistress. I know."
...
"I can't do it," I say. "I can't."
"My Mistress, you have just one more child to go. You can do it. I refuse to let my Mistress abandon her child just as it comes into this world. Push, Alzi."
"I'm trying. I'm tired. Let me rest."
"No, stay with me, now. When she comes out, I'll give you all three to hold and let them bathe you in their love. Now, breathe. Now, push!"
I do my best to find the strength to push with her, but I'm so tired.
It would end the nightmares.
"Mistress, I need you to feed them," Sarania says. "I think your children are hungry."
"Please," I say. I can't let them go hungry. They need me. "Please help me, my Goddess. Please, Fertility." I feel the constant pressure get replaced with a tug as they suckle on my nipples.
"Don't worry, my mana will keep them in place. You have the strength, my Mistress. I promise. We'll do everything together from now on. Another push," Sarania says. "Oh, perfect, my Mistress."
A soft cry rings out. The last child of three joins her sisters.
Two little ones with glowing golden hair and a pale blue dragon.
"My Mistress, who is the father of the dragon? I have not seen that color before."
"Esiyae," I say. "I've put a lot more in her womb. If she is still alive."
"I see. That does strangely follow. Try to get some rest. I can handle the kids. Right now, the four of you need to rest. Remember you are loved and safe now, my Mistress. All will learn to fear you."
"I'll try. I can let you feed the kids. I just need to use a Skill."
"Please do, my Mistress. I wish to let you sleep for as long as possible."
*** Elora ***
"OPEN THE FUCK UP!" I scream. How does this city expect to defend itself from me? They have a few commoners as guards and maybe a handful of nobles that can sort of muster some kind of attack with their mana. Yet they refuse me. "ONE FUCKING MINUTE BEFORE YOUR STREETS RUN RED WITH YOUR BLOOD!"
"Dear," Geta says.
"I don't care. Is Shimmer awake? We could use that bird again."
"We are not massacring a city with our husband still inside it."
"It won't take the entire city. Just the important parts," I say. "But fine. The hard way it is."
*** Goddess of the Hearth (Last met when Isda was finding out who her Goddess was) ***
"Oh, calm down, Nature. You're just mad that another mortal is having kids, and you weren't the one to rape the kids into them," I say. "Let the two play around with their mother for a bit. We saw the damage your method of parenting did."
"Calm down?! I don't get to be in the lower realm. We all agreed that Goddesses wouldn't be down there anymore, and yet there are two playing around with a champion!" Nature says.
"Yes," I say. "Well, they didn't sign the agreement, and we really need to make that again now that the actual Goddess of Contracts is around."
"Future," Nature says. "You know how this ends."
"Yes, that is my domain, isn't it? I'm not like Justice, who likes twisting their power around. I knew this was going to happen and what will happen after it. Yet you are the one who is complaining. I agree with Hearth. Let them be. They'll join us up here soon enough."
"Death."
"Did someone die?" Death asks.
"No," Nature says.
"Then why would I care? Elora and Shimmer just gave me a gift, so I can let their husband have their kids around for a bit."
"My advice," Future says. "Let Alzi be."
"Shut up, bitch," Nature says.
She's always the one who gets so worked up about things. A busybody who can't relax. I thought that after all these years, she would have calmed down a bit, but here she is, getting worked up over her plans falling apart again.
"Well, that settles everything. I have some cookies to make."
