Chapter 228 – Becoming a High Priestess

The rest of the party was kind of boring. My wife pointed out two women who would be working with me as healers and suggested I get to know them.

It was surprisingly nice. They were both worried when I told them about my limited history of healing, but they quickly smiled when I told them about how I healed Fluvis's sailors and families after the rescue.

However, I neglected to tell them that my mana is what allowed me to kill the icy Princess. There's no need to freak them out like with Oriphusa.

The party ended rather early, but it seems everyone will be starting their march tomorrow. The meeting with the Queen included giving them their orders.

One army is staying behind to keep the other Queendoms from overrunning us and to help with any problems nature may send, and the Princess will be in charge of the middle of the three offensive armies as the 'cause' of the war.

Sleep comes a lot easier than I thought it would, though this is the last night I'll get to have Aurora in my arms for a while. She'll soon be too pregnant to march, so she gets to stay safe back home with the lazy dryad.

*** Isda ***

Damn it. Fuck all of this. I just found an old temple, and now Alzi is running off to war. Should I even pray in it? Would that just attract attention?

My Goddess is going to yell at me for not being able to bring Alzi here. And I doubt she'll care that it is her fault that I couldn't even find an old temple for so long.

It's not completely her fault, though, as it seems that many of the Queens in the past weren't so open about sex. But I'm sure she could have given me directions to one or done something to ensure she didn't get stripped out of the history books.

Then Alzi may have had the power to protect herself. Or the Goddess of Sex may have broken Alzi completely and finished the job the nobles started. But I don't see why a Goddess would want to ruin their champion.

The temple I found has broken apart over the years, and the small portion I'm using is abandoned—and for a reason, it seems.

But that can be left for the Goddess to figure out. I've done enough as a heavily pregnant woman needing to sneak around. Who knows what the Queen or Elora would say if I had conflicting tasks from two Goddesses.

I slowly work myself down to my knees in the middle of the destroyed temple. The old marble is cracked, and the walls have been scorched with fire to remove any depictions the temple once displayed about the Goddess.

"A little late," my Goddess booms out. "Don't you think?"

I hardly get my senses sorted out before I'm on my back, limbs spread, and naked. Rope digs into my wrists and ankles as the pretty face looks down on me in disgust.

"It wasn't easy to find, and then Alzi got taken, and the war," I stumble to get out. "This was the fastest I could do it. Fertility threatened me, and I'm doing what I can. Help point me to a temple or place of worship on our warpath, and I'll find a way for her to get there. Please, my Goddess."

Her finger traces up my massive belly, goosebumps trailing under her soft touch. My desire rises each second I'm in her powerful presence.

"It is normally just Fertility's angels that are failures," Goddess of Sex says. Her voice turns me on, even with the veiled threat. "If I didn't know better, I would have thought you were tainted by them. I want my champion. Bring her to me."

"I'm trying, I'm trying," I cry out.

"Stop trying and just do it," she says, her hand moving to my lower lips.

I fight my restraints, toes curled as I feel a climax wrack through my body.

When I come down, I'm back in the destroyed temple. I feel a small connection to where the altar used to lay.

I hope the Queen will be fine with the newest temple. I don't know if I need to find a priestess or if my Goddess will handle that, but I don't have time to stick around.

Maybe I can get Alzi to come here before they all leave me behind.

*** Zarzi ***

How did that happen?

Some nobody bastard dominated me and forced me to submit! I'm going to be a damn priestess until he comes to collect me for his harem.

HIM!

Sure, he has tits and a filled womb, but how could someone with a fucking cock defeat me? I was supposed to make him feel small and helpless. Get him to roll over when my Queen comes to collect the bastard.

But no. I just ruined everything, and my wives know it.

It took forever to earn these two, and then I embarrassed myself the first time I went out with them.

"Zarzi," one asks. "What are we to do now?"

"We fly home and join the temple," I say. All the work it took to make that grand entrance...

"Why would we join the temple?" the other asks.

"Because I said so! Do you want to die? If so, then keep asking questions." I leave them be and jump up into the air. I use my mana to speed up my flight and soar out to our realm.

I hear my wives start flying behind me. Luckily, they still seem to be correctly conditioned.

...

It's a good thing my mother expects me to fly to her instead of collecting me at the edge of the city. I mean, how could even a failure like me fuck this one up? Why worry there at the edge when she can throw the Queen into bed and have some fun while waiting?

Nobody notices an extra red dragon landing. I only look special in my brother's Queendom. Here, I'm truly nothing.

That bastard just had to ruin my chance to be something. Though it was only going to move me a step up to a place where Mother recognized me.

But maybe I can be something in the temple or with Alzi's harem.

I'll probably just be another womb for her to fill.

I march my way through the city with my head down, my wives silent behind me, as always. The dark and gloomy architecture really helps to keep me depressed.

Through the shadows, I make my way to the grand temple. My only hope. A large black tower with doors of obsidian.

I force them open without mana, as I need to impress the Goddess in any way I can. The heavy doors slowly grind open, revealing a cave. Piles of gold trinkets have been placed randomly, with dragons resting in them to pray.

A silver dragon walks up to me and takes my hand before dragging me down a hall to a private cave. Effortlessly, she shoves me into the small pile of silver coins and laughs as she leaves. My wives stand at the entrance with tilted heads.

With nothing else to do, I close my eyes and pray to the Goddess.

"So, you met the bastard royal," a voice booms from the white void. "Got quite close, it seems."

"Let me serve you as a priestess, my Goddess," I cry out. "I'll be faithful."

"You are already promised to another," the voice chuckles, shifting from the overbearing tone. "Why should I shelter you from the Queens?"

"My kids," I say. "I'm heavily pregnant, and they will still be born of a priestess. I never told Alzi I would leave my post if I married her. A priestess can do that, right?"

This bodiless void is not helping to keep me calm.

"Why would I need those? Will you even make it to labor? A hundred is a bit much, don't you think, silly one?"

"That was how many the text said the last Queen took," I cry out. I don't even need my mother to kill me?

"After a ritual and many births before that. This is your first, and you've had no ritual. The Queen before you even died in labor."

"Please, Goddess. I'll do whatever you ask. The Queens will torture me for this. I don't want to burst or end up next to my dad. Please, I promised Alzi I would be her wife."

"You are not giving me a lot of reasons to protect you."

How much work would it take to protect me from the Queens? Isn't she the ultimate power in this realm?

"I am. Be careful with your thoughts here. There isn't a difference between them and speech for me. You are correct. It would be trivial for me to save you from the Queens, but why should I fracture our relationship over you? It won't be big, but every crack increases the chances they'd forget about me, and I'll have to flex my muscles more than I want to."

"Old rituals. They normally need a pregnant dragon, right? Would it hurt? I can be used for those, and my wives can help. Three new Priestesses is surely better?"

How are one hundred kids not enough?

"The bastard really fucked all the pride out of you. Even handing me your wives in your panic. A hundred kids is more than enough for me to take you. You'll be useful to me, and Alzi will have to deal with sharing you. Have fun with your bloat."

"Thank you, Goddess. I'll be your faithful servant."

"You don't have a choice. I give you two weeks before you're bedbound as these kids of yours aren't growing at the normal speed. You'll have the title of High Priestess, but listen to all of my Priestesses until Alzi comes to pick you up."

"As you wish," I say as the black cave returns. The silver Priestess is back, standing over me with her arms crossed.

Someone clearly thought I was going to be turned away.

"Follow me," she says. "You two as well. You'll be in charge of keeping her and the kids healthy. None of you are to leave the temple without an escort."

"Yes, Priestess," I say, scrambling to get on my feet. My wives follow me blindly, like always, through the cave.

The Priestess takes me to an open room with a bed in the middle. There is no door for privacy, and there is plenty of room for rituals.

"This will be your room, High Priestess. Your wives have a room through the back door. I hope you understand what you've signed up for."

"My life," I say. "I'll need help understanding my role beyond that."

"We will help you serve the Goddess," the woman says. "For her glory."

"For her glory," I say.

The three women leave me alone in the room. The silver Priestess is clearly mad that I have a better title than her, but she'll find out soon that she still ranks higher than me. I doubt my role here will be enjoyable, but I'll be alive.

I fall asleep on the mat and let my wives figure out their room. I'll have to write a message to Mother and hope she listens to me somehow.
