Chapter 8- You are him right~2!

"You are black bounty, right?!"

Hearing a familiar voice, I turned toward the source and found my new desk neighbor, sexy onee-san, standing there, with her eyes at the point where it seemed she was witnessing something beyond belief.

To say I was surprised would be an understatement, by her knowing my secret, which I had done nothing to hide.

I knew the time she planted her fangs on me, she subconsciously made me her bond, but since the interaction between her and me was much less, I never got the chance to tear off that bond.

Since I knew it would be draggy to let her pry into my memories and emotions, I now intended to end this conversation along with this girl once and for all.

"Well, yeah, I am, but my deepest apology; you can't share it with anyone."

As I said, I created a veil around us. The veil, unlike other barriers, wasn't visible to any perception unless the audience was experienced enough. And in this case, this girl is clearly not in that league where she could sense herself getting entrapped.

"I wasn't going to tell anyone in the first place tho..."

Unlike the first time or when she came to meet me, she was getting strangely polite.

I guess it was the effect of her knowing about my secret identity. She might be thinking of pursuing me to help her mother or something ...

Or her sudden change of temperament might be because of the bond she formed subconsciously.

Well, the chances of the latter option was quite unlikely, which helped my intention of killing her unwavering.

Her face, body, and charm were too good to resist, and if I wanted, I could make her mine by several means, but then again, if I really wanted women, there were several chances.

But strangely, I still wasn't intending to let myself get drowned in any fake relationship, which follows the principle of wanting something from the other to keep the relationship going.

Maybe, my standards were high, but this was what I really was.

A character who was happy to be on the sidelines and enjoy seeing the world burn.

"You are going to kill me, right?"

I was perplexed for a moment as I was sure my intent wasn't rising, unlike the girl in front who doesn't know how to control it. And since my veil wasn't possibly visible to her, I wasn't sure how she found out.

"Are you surprised that I caught your intentions? Well, to be honest, there wasn't anything to guess since I know about you a little. Not this perverted side but the one who kills their prey without mercy."

"And you sure you not gonna resist? You really don't want to help your mom?"

I asked reflexively. It was the first time I was going to kill someone in this form, so I was also getting slightly hesitant...maybe?

"Well, I do love my mother, but even if I protest and try to run away, I know it would be beyond impossible to escape. But on the brighter end, my death might leave guilt on you, and maybe...just maybe, you try to help my mom? It's a serious risk, but I think I can bet on it. So please make it quick and painless, if possible."

'Tough guy...my ass!'

I chanted my praises like I was a hardhearted saint who would never melt by any charm but here I was, feeling sympathy for the girl.

Would I be able to kill her after I saw those eyes which spoke that she already had lost all hopes of living anymore?

I don't put my Line status as a 'Man with no heart' and still could feel the emotions that makes up a human.

Well, people would argue that I am not being human, but currently, I am in human flesh, so I would pretend to be a human!

No one could stop me!

'Whom am I arguing with...'

Sighing, I charged at the girl as I enchanted one of the exclusive techniques I had inherited and focused it at the tip of my index finger.

The girl naturally was stunned upon seeing me approach at a speed that was out of her trackability, but since she was expecting her death, or she pretended to, her face changed and only showed signs of being a shock for a mere blink before it returned to normal.

Planting the tip of my index finger at the center of her forehead, I heard a cute yelp which gave me another reason to do what I was going to.

The fingertip, which was now dyed black due to being the catalyst of my spell, was now planted at her pale head as I directed my words to her.

[@#&&@&###]

The words I used probably would have gone over her head, so after concluding the spell, I made it understandable to her.

"It was Vow which would ensure your death if you ever in your life try to betray me. Tell others about my hectic job, and your whole being would disintegrate in front of your loved ones, and I will make sure to eradicate your beloved too, when I sense my oath being broken. So choose what you say in front of others."

Saying so, I turned on my toe and, after erasing the veil, went directly back to my door.

Turning the doorknob, I looked back at the girl who was still in a daze, probably thinking about why she didn't die.

"You want to save your mama, right? Then come in before I change my mind."

Hearing my tone, which was as natural as ever, the sexy onee-san finally got out of her stupor as she subconsciously moved her feet and followed behind.

__________

Leaving the girl in the living room, I started preparing my dinner. Since vampires don't eat anything ordinary, I made something special for her and poured it into a sipper.

Well, it wasn't anything weird, just a lemonade with a drop of something she might need since she had already become my bond.

I had the means to break the bond, but until she doesn't recover her mother, I was going to let this connection she had formed without my consent.

'Well, she won't be able to pry more than I let her...'

The reason why she was able to surveillance the bits and pieces of my memories of being the *cough*Black Bounty*cough* was because my mind was a little unstable when I sensed death nearing Ryuuta.

My slight fluctuation of emotions and Karen was able to pry in my mind. It makes me admire her at the same time, feel disgusted with how sloppy I had become for some days.

'Aah~ It smells nice.'

Throwing away my self-blaming thoughts, I served my fried onions and chicken in one dish and served a large bowl of rice in another before placing everything in a tray and moving away.

Karen was still in a daze, but now she was conscious of her surrounding as my approach made her alert.

"You okay? My Spell wouldn't have hurt, right ?"

Putting my tray on a foldable table that I had arranged beforehand, I sat on the ground as I asked in a neutral tone.

"Well, I'm more concerned about why it didn't hurt. I have seen Vows before too, but those Spells always take something from the promiser, mostly blood or a genetic part of the body. But in your case, I only felt the effect of the Vow but not any loss from me. I am not sure what race you belong to evoke such a spell with such fluency."

I heard her words while munching on my dinner as I concluded that she wasn't a brat, even in a Vampire's sense of aging, but I didn't have any motive to flame her curiosity.

"Don't dig into those matters which don't concern you. Here take this."

The girl got startled as I extended the sipper toward her before she grabbed the cup like a baby snatching their favorite toy.

'Well, that was adorable.'

I continued eating without minding the need to explain to her about the content, as I hoped for her to ascertain that much. And thankfully, she got beauty with brains.

"I-It has your blood!"

"I know, right? I was the one who put it inside, after all."

Karen was entirely flabbergasted upon finding my blood in the lemonade. Well, I wouldn't have drank anything if it had blood mixed in it, but for vampires, blood is the best beverage to offer.

She still was going on and on with her daze, which I wasn't able to discern what was all about. I had just finished my dinner and, after cleaning the dishes, came back to see the still frozen Karen at her spot.

But at least she had something to say.

"Why are you helping me, Kei? After I learned that you are the infamous Hunter in the underworld, I thought killing myself would be better as, from what I have heard, you always have killed everyone who has come across you. But I thought of confronting you on my own initiative since I had hidden selfishness. However, not only did you spare my life, but you also gave me the strength that I could save my mother on my own. Please, tell me, what made you do all this?"

'This vampire...'

I felt sighing in defeat as I heard the curious query of the girl who was getting pure passing each hour now. At first, I never thought she could have this side too.

Hearing her question, I felt like flirting with her, but in the end, I didn't want to get further entangled with her, so I kept my fun to myself and answered honestly.

"You can say, I respect an emotion you carry. I think you understand what I am saying, so don't dwell it on, more than necessary, and drink it."

Even pondering on my words and still half doubting what I said, Karen connected the straw to her lips.

What I told her was the truth but only the first part of it.

The main reason I wanted her to become powerful and save her mother, was so I could continue my daily life as a shadowed classmate who doesn't intervene in anything unless poked.

It goes without saying that Karen would not leave the underworld after saving her mother since no vampire likes to live in broad daylight, and that's how I would get rid of this single person who could ruin my precious everyday lifestyle.

Karen was sweet and lovable, onee-san, but the risk of getting my heart stolen and see it getting crushed again, wasn't something I preferred.

Watching everything from the sidelines without any motive of interfering, that's what I prefer.

And to add another character to this fulfilling life...nah!

A/N:- His personality quite twisted and his monologues are complicated. I'm not writing it that way anonymously. There is a part of Kei that resulted in his current self. His attachment to Ryuuta is also related to that.

Anyway, drop a comment.
