Chapter 27- What Kei thinks!

"How this all happened so suddenly, Nee-san…."

As Kaori kept her eyes glued to the unconscious Kei, she heard her brother asking about the ordeal, which took mere hours yet gave a memory for life.

After the Black Bounty took the runic stone from the heir of Kamazaki, Kaori was freed from her restriction.

But the unfortunate part remained in the chains which were binding Kei. Those curse seals weren't relying on the peculiar blue stone.

What was left were two options. Either Kaori jumps to slaughter the bastard heir or protect Kei by transporting him back to the human realm.

Kaori didn't need to ponder before she reached her decision and pulled Kei out of that place.

In between, he lost consciousness which helped her to remove all the chains carefully without letting him feel any more discomfort.

After returning, naturally, Ryuuta and his teammates came running down the living room since they sensed the portal was activated. Still, there wasn't anything they could do to stop the inevitable.

The image of Kaori shedding wordlessly while suppressing her voice, so she doesn't wake Kei was heartbreaking for the four.

Not in a sound mind to talk with her brother, Kaori pulled something out of her dimensional pocket. It was a small silver briefcase with four syringes lined side by side.

Aoi's eyes went wide as she realized what it was as she muttered under her breath.

'Of course, she would erase his memories. '

What Kei saw was more than what could cause emotional trauma. Despite blaming herself constantly, Kaori had to take this step, so Kei doesn't change from his usual self.

Taking the syringe, Kaori extended her hand toward his nape, but the moisture in her eyes blocked her vision, with her hands shaking uncontrollably.

Ryuuta could not see his sister suffering before he held her hand and took the Memory Eraser from her hand.

"Let me do this, Nee-san. You go out with the girls."

Kaori looked persistent, but after Aoi and Sayaka persuaded her, she agreed, albeit slightly resistant, to leave Kei alone.

"Don't hurt him, Ryuuta."

"Yeah, I got it. Now go and have some water."

As Ryuuta urged, the four ladies left the room with a half-dead Kei and Ryuuta only in the room.

"Okay then, buddy. Sorry if it hurts…."

______________

'Fuck! Is your mind a warehouse of shit, you dolt! Where you fuckin pierce that needle! '

Shouting at the top of my lungs inside my head, I endured the pain from the stab I felt in my chest. I didn't know whether he was trying to kill me or if he was actually clueless about injecting someone.

But knowing this chicken brain, I was certain Ryuuta couldn't be a villain who was hiding in the shadows to find a chance to kill me. He probably has found the opportunity to discover what injecting someone feels like.

Anyway, the pain subdued not long after as Lord Ryuuta finally left me alone for some time to bring some cold water to give my head some cool pads.

Now that I had time, it was unavoidable for me to think of nothing but a single person.

'When this happened?... '

Even though I tried, I couldn't find the memory which explains how Kaori fell for me.

Yes, that amazingly hot childhood friend has confessed to me, but unfortunately, I can't even talk about it anymore because my memories of this day are meant to be erased.

The face that spoke to me about how deeply she has fallen in love still makes my heart clench. I am pretty much attached to Kaori, so this reaction of mine is entirely justifiable.

Or maybe my hormones are just reacting to jump on a girl since she loves me?

I will take my liberty to believe the first choice.

I would be lying to say that I was totally clueless about her fondness toward me, but to the point where villains are trying to capture me in order to force her?

I never foresaw that.

I only strived for a partner who loves for whom I am, but Kaori doesn't know what I actually am.

The organisation she works for, regards inhumanes as their enemy, and so I believe she would too.

What was left for me to think carefully regarding this case since I know how bothered I would be until I don't sort everything out.

I can't just let this slide even I have been injected with the mind-erasing syringe, but just jumping on the stage and announcing my true self would also be problematic.

There's a possible chance of me altering my residence and this high school individuality if things go South. That's why I am getting skeptical about this whole situation all over again.

'Fuck, I am getting sleepy….'

Since I put a clone in the binding chains and acted things out with my Hunter's identity, I have to constantly use my energy to keep things going properly.

I knew, once Kaori saw my imperfect clone, she would notice that's why I had to transfer my soul from that body to this, which took a whole lot of my energy.

Resulting in m current drowsiness…

'Well, let's see where this relationship goes from hereon…. '
