The Green Hat Lover’s Wife (1)

What should have been a simple guide leading Michi and Nik to their residence extended to be another meet and greet session, with an additional member this time.

Michi had only heard of Toph Beifong, Poppy Beifong's daughter, and had long forgotten about her but Michi hadn't forgotten the rumors and whispers about the Beifong's overprotective nature... and other tales common between noble houses of a certain standard, or in this case, wealthy traders trying to make as a noble under the new regime. Honestly, Michi wasn't sure which circumstance she would choose. Her literally mind-twisting one... or Poppy's.

Still, both the woman, despite their experiences managed a smile as the young girl greeted Michi.

Now that her daughter was in the open and greeted by Michi's sight, Poppy couldn't just stuff her daughter back. Instead, she now had the chance to properly and proudly display her daughter.

Nik took a moment to observe Toph. She... looked like a doll. With her glossy black hair tied back without a single strand marring her features, the porcelain but slightly paler girl blinked her large, round, and unfocused eyes. Her milky gree pupils revealed her disability— blindness. But revealing that she had indeed gained her mother's features, Toph pulled her short, pouty pink lips into a polite smile and bowed, "It is an honor to meet Mistress Michi."

As she bowed, Nik noted the drastic differences. Compared to her mother who.. seemed even more developed than Michi as emphasized by the stretch of the fabric under which her large bosom was confined, Toph was petite. Short and definitely the kind of girl who would elicit the desire to protect her.

Nik wouldn't.

Something just felt off about Toph. From her annoyed click of the tongue to suddenly appearing in that very location.

Nik hadn't heard anyone coming in and out of the mansion's entrance but then Toph was suddenly there. He did, however, heard the very discreet noise of the gravel shifting in that particular layer of the courtyard.

"Your daughter is precious, Poppy!" Michi broke the usual formality, something that served to please the mother rather than annoy her. Both of them were mothers so Poppy understood that Michi's reaction had been sincere.

Standing up to gently hold Toph's hand, Poppy led her daughter to sit next to her and smiled, "I'm glad you favored my Toph. Sigh, sweety, what are you doing outside? Shouldn't you be resting?"

'Resting... this early?' Nik was a bit confused but Poppy didn't bother explaining as Toph stuttered for a second and replied with her soft and sweet tone, "I couldn't sleep, mother. Then I heard sounds outside and wanted to see who could it be."

Poppy shook her head. Dotting and smiling, she brushed it off, "Don't worry. Now you know. Gaiju, bring Toph to her quarters. Sweety, rest for now. I will have you woken up by the time of night's meal."

Toph stood with an obedient expression as the servant held her hand and led the girl. away. Although Michi had been smiling the entire time, it was hard to resist the urge to comment on how overprotective Poppy was acting. Truly, she needed a hobby or something.

As Toph and the servant walked past Nik, again, due to his initial positioning, a mischievous expression suddenly touched Toph's face and a soft tremor jolted from her feet towards Nik. All but confirming his suspicions that the little doll could perhaps be a mischievous imp in disguise, Nik saturated the ground underneath him with his chi. While he cannot bend earth properly, he can fill his surrounding with his chi and will. Others may not have such a monstrous reserve to do so but Nik did and to save himself for whatever embarrassment this blind but surprisingly well-trained earthbender had planned for him, he stopped her mischief in its tracks.

Toph's milky green eyes widen in surprise. There is a second's pause to her footing as if she was deliberating whether to continue or not but in the end, she decided to leave. Even if she had her head in another direction, Nik couldn't shake the feeling he was still being watched.

As if a prey trapped in a net.

When Toph entered the mansion, Poppy finally took her eyes away from the doors of the mansion and remarked with a proud smirk, "Although a little inexperienced, Toph's earthbending tutor claims that she is slowly mastering the basic moves. In no time she will be able to bend the earth!"

Returning with a smile, Michi nodded and commented, "Toph would have been the perfect candidate for the Royal Academy intended to be constructed within Ba Sing Se..."

Exhaling softly, Poppy shook her head, "Those rebels find a way to halt the nation's growth time and again. Let's not dally any longer. With Gaiju gone, let me lead the way to your residence. That's the least I can do when your own man saved my face."

She turned to look at Nik but both Michi and he would be a fool to think there wasn't any hidden meaning to her words. After all, that's the same way Michi eyed Nik once, until he eventually roped her in.

---

"So... elephant in the room," Michi began as her guard dutifully took his position behind her. His hands pressed down on her shoulders, eliciting hot sighs from Michi with the relaxing massage as he would have her enjoy the day of commanding him. Of course, there was a personal pleasure in it, too.

"Toph is weird," he commented.

"And you've turned into an eye-candy," Michi added, "I wonder what expression Poppy would have if she'd look at your face."

Nik chuckled internally as Michi continued, "Actually, I lied when I said... I don't know much about the Beifongs. In fact, aside from their overprotective nature, I have heard of a... rumor."

"Oh, is it embarrassing?" Nik questioned. After all, Michi had purposely kept it from him.

"No," Michi's mood plummeted for a second, "It's sad... given how one looks at things."

---

As Poppy had promised, Michi was asked to join the Beifong family for the dinner. Nik walked out of his room. In reality, while Michi rested, he returned to his personal space and trained. Although he had freshened up, he still looked a little worked up but the mask over his face covered things up perfectly.

The two made their way through their estate. Without a guide, they could have lost their way given the size of their residence. Nik had half the heart to steal their mansion. His name would surpass the mysterious Blind Bandit surely.

The dining hall of the Beifong estate, as opposed to their relationship with the Fire Nation, happened to be less 'metallic' and oakier. The traditional setting with wooden, less than decorated furniture but the quality of which already surpassed what can even be commissioned by the local craftsmen, the scroll painting of a lone, potted flower behind the estate head, and the two incense lit on a small but neat table temple gave a somber and grounded feeling.

Aside from Michi as she takes the seat on the other side of the head table as a special guest behind which Nik stood loyally, his reward only a few hours away now, she finds herself greeting a ruddy man for his age. Two sleek mustaches dangling down and a wide smile on his face as Lao Beifong wore golden earthen robes and cupped his fist, "We meet again, Mistress Michi. Last we met was in Omashu, during Sir Ukano's appointment as the mayor of the kingdom."

Although Michi didn't deserve such treatment now that her title was empty as his smile, Lao had been filled up on her claim and wanted to see what Michi had in mind. As a trader, saying a few sweet words to get results was one of the most profitable approaches in his books. Second only to sweetening the deal with something else.

Nik, however, glanced at the other male present.

All earth kingdom nobles or wealthiest had the same style of facial hair, that Nik now knew. The man sitting across from Toph was none other than the Dojomaster Nik and Mai had come across yesterday.

"Sir Lao," Michi smiled and cupped her fist, "Please excuse my intrusion. I am sure you have a multitude of trades banking on your attention for the good of your family and the Phoenix King's regime."

With the pleasantries exchanged, the food was quickly served, and damn what a lavish spread it was. Modest in looks, but the tantalizing scent of the broth, the perfectly fresh veggies in, and platter upon platter of dumplings, meat, and a large bowl of rice in the middle served to tickle Nik's hunger.

He gazed at the table silently. Like a predator who's been shackled.

Michi could be well aware of his inclinations so her smile broadened. She just wanted to tease her guard a little more and the spread served to do just that.

As they ate, Poppy picked up the conversation.

She sat in between her daughter and her husband as she introduced the other man in the room, "This is Toph's Earthbending Tutor, Master Yu."

"Hmm, Miss Beifong has been learning splendidly. If she continues with such ardor, she would be able to perform the basic moves in no time." the man nodded elegantly but didn't speak any further. After all, he was just asked here for a formality.

Lao smiled but his tone remained worried, "Toph, take care of your body and don't overdo anything."

"Yes, father," Toph replied quietly.

If he didn't know any better, Nik would have felt he was back in Omashu with Lao being replaced by Ukano.

'But... this is the story of most noble households...' and it didn't help that Nik was comparing the experience of one world with the other.

As they ate quietly, Nik felt a lasting gaze linger on him. Its intent was mischievous, too, but it was the kind of mischief in an adult's arsenal and not a little imp's. Granted Toph was 18 years old, at least that's the age she introduced herself with, her petite frame had still left a lot to fill out if she ever hoped to match her mother who was now glancing in his direction for some time. And given that he stood behind Michi meant that Poppy's and Michi's gaze had locked for more than once.

"Miss Michi," Lao began after a while as he used a thin cloth to clean his lips, "My wife tells me you have come with an interesting proposition. You know as well as I do if there is something an Earth Kingdom trader can't resist is then that's a good trade."

"Indeed," Michi nodded, "The man standing behind me has no name."

She uttered and made others, including Toph frown.

"He follows orders. He protects the individual asked to protect and has senses surpassing ordinary benders. Granted he is a firebender, he is an elite. Not in bending— tracking.

When traveling with him alone, I could entrust myself to him," as she said so, a meaningful smile was plastered on Michi's lips while she gazed at Poppy.

"It is because his senses rival that of beasts that even bandits don't dare take on one-on-one. I believe that my personal guard can find this Blind Bandit in time and cure the Beifong's Estate problems in a few days."

Lao nodded. Although Michi had finessed her story, the major points remained the same. Instead, he questioned, "I am led to believe that Miss Michi brings Mayor Bumi's regards... am I also to believe that in assisting us, we are agreeing to Mayor Bumi's request whatever they may be?"

"Mayor's request is... to be delivered after some amount of time has passed," Michi stalled, "But do consider this assistance a favor in the pot. I am sure that Mayor Bumi would be as entertained in your company as you would be in his."

Lao nodded thoughtfully. He would have never considered that everything was a sham. No, he would have never attributed Michi to having such courage now that she was an empty woman.

"May I inquire what you know about the Blind Bandit?"

"Not many things aside from their ability to occasionally sneak past the defenses of the Beifong Estate and commit theft of rations."

Revealing a bitter smile, "Not occasionally. That part is done so by trying to hide information as much as possible... the Blind Bandit steals from us every day."

Michi blanked out for a moment. Sensing the lack of Lao glanced at Michi's stunned expression and waited until Nik brought her back by taking a step forward and patting her shoulders firmly. His voice muffled as he brought her back, "Mistress?"

The sound of it instantly narrowed Poppy's eyes. She regained her bearings but her almond eyes had begun to accumulate hunger in her gaze.

"Ah, do excuse my rudeness," Michi cleared her throat and then confidently pointed out, "If it is true, then Mayor Lao, you need this man's talents even more."

The man sighed, "Indeed I believe that human methods are proving... less than acceptable. For that, I had even contacted a special bounty hunter but the response has been lacking. If this man is truly gifted, I suppose letting him try for a few days will not change the situation for the worse."

Nik had his attention on Toph for a while. But unlike a moment of mischief this afternoon, Toph was entirely silent. Well-behaved.

As the dinner ended and they dispersed, Michi and Nik soon found themselves entering the quarters appointed to him.

"See?" She smiled, "I told you he will accept it!"

Nik removed the mask and took off his helmet before breathing with ease.

"Whatever!" he slumped the next second. He was hungry now. For food and a few other things.

Their plan, or in this case, Michi's plan was quite simple. It was something they had done already.

If Bumi is correct and a prison does exist somewhere in Gaoling then chances are that Mayor and his Wife may know of it. Just like Nik and others snuck into Omashu to find out what's what, Michi wanted to have some time to investigate the Beifong Estate. Of course, this was the subtle approach. When the time is up, she was in full support of Nik taking the mansion. She liked this mansion a lot so it was worthwhile.

Of course, if Lao Beifong was administrating a secret prison then he wouldn't admit it. Her wife, if she knew, may just do that because of... her and Lao's history. Michi couldn't see Poppy going through all that without holding a shred of resentment and if Nik could just... guide her in the right direction, things would be well.

Of course, the mature woman knew better than to expose the fact that she wanted Nik to sexually manipulate someone else for their benefit. As much as she liked Suki, she would be the first to reproach.

These are the kind of things that... you do but not say. So, without any other words, Michi sunk to the floor on her knees with an eager grin.

"Hey, that's unfair... you already ate your fill!" Nik scoffed.

However, with a hungry snarl, as if a lioness out for a hunt... for her mate, Michi held Nik's knees and pressed her lips and nostrils against his crotch. The fabric of his pants didn't stop his erection to take form against her heated face as she begins to deliberately pant. He had been hungry, yes, now Michi wanted to channel all that hunger... onto her!

She looked up, eyes wide. There was a sudden innocence in her eyes as her soft cheeks were slightly pushed up against his dick through the confines of his pants and Nik couldn't help but willingly fall for it. He could eat an hour later, right?

He smiled, his hand now reaching out for her cheek and tenderly stroking it as his other hand freed him from his confines. In the next instant, his very eager erection overwhelms Michi as she is forced to stare at the schlong pressed over her face but well beyond the length of her head cross-eyed.

With a lascivious smile, Michi wrapped both of her hands around his cock, giving him gentle but dry strokes until he begin to leak precum, something she began sneaking over the length of his shaft while she found her mouth full by swallowing his balls, letting her tongue lap around them and enjoy his heavy, well-trained scent that made her cheeks hotter.

As Nik expected, Michi was very serious when it came to rewarding good work.
