Chapter 40 – Panty shot
While Noah walked around the city after asking for a well known scenic view of the city from the fruit vendor where he bought some apples, the system peered at the CS screed within his mind with interest while performing high speed calculations and analyzing the data received from the people having conversation there.
Guys is there anyone playing this game too? Asked a person in comment section posting a picture with some warriors fighting with fancy lights flying around them.
Oh you play this also? Answered him other person.
Want to make a team.
Khe-khem gentleman why don't you go talk about games on other sites. We discuss mangas here….also I play it too, so let me in.
Huh people play this shit? There is no better game that this you know? Said a fourth person posting a picture of another game
Huh this is the best game in your point of view. You really are a dumb kid that have not seen the world. The best game is clearly…. Said another person posting his own game picture.
Ok boomer
Old man is that Sega? Yo how old are you? Are you a dinosaur?
After that a discussion of games and pictures streamed into the CS that system watched with interest, pulling out whatever information it could from these people.
*******
Noah stood at one of the homewares stall holding a metal tray in his hands turning it around while carefully peering at it.
/Well. At least I am sure, that I am being followed./ Said Noah in his mind while turning the tray so that he could see barely visibly reflexion of a guy in brown pants and grey jacket. The same guy that was sitting in the eatery Noah lunched at with the woman in black dress and beret at the corner table. The one that was lewdly rubbing the guys calf making him jump up and hit the table with knees, making half the eatery notice them.
*Yes. That's no doubt the same guy.*
/The girl is not with him though./ Said Noah putting back the tray and walking off.
*I am quite sure she should be following us as well if what we analyzed about this event is right.* Said system.
/That made me thinking, system. Is there maybe some skill to check my surroundings or let me know of being followed./
*Analyzing data. Calculating.*
*Ding
*New folder has been created. Folder name: Database*
*Ding
*New skill has been created.* Said system and Noah noticed something appear in the corner if his view.
*Ding
*New skill has been created.* Sounded repeat of the previous notification
/Two of them and a folder? Nice. Let's see. First of all, what's the Database folder for and can it be opened without transferring to the mind realm?/ Asked Noah.
*Database folder contain the list of faces of people you have met, as well as some other useful information. With this folder the search of people and analysis of useful information will be simplified through creation of easily accessible library.* Answered system and a yellow rectangle like object that system calls folder opened in front of Noah. Inside that folder were many other folders with different names: people, plant, location.
Noah willed the people folder to open and saw the pictures of many people he has met. He then opened plant folder and saw similar picture but on the plants he has seen.
/Okay. This looks indeed useful. Let's see the skill then./ Said Noah closing the database folder and willed the skill list to open instead.
He searched through the list and found two new additions numbered one and two in the corner representing that they are the new arrivals. He willed number one to open and read the description.
// Awareness minimap (Passive) //
// Creates a minimap in users scope of view, that shows a small area in his immediate surrounding, mapped through combination of information from all of his senses. //
/Minimap?/ Asked Noah. /Is that the thing I see in the right corner of my view?/
*Yes. It shows a simplified map of the area around you. As you can see the grey rectangles represent the buildings that are around you. The blue dots that you see there are representing the people that you are aware of through your senses. For example if you saw or heard a person, it will automatically show them on the map.*
/I see that's nice. But what if I am not aware of them, like the girl that I still have not seen?/
*Oh, this one is the best part. Look at the small picture of an eye above the map.*
/What does it do?/
*This one uses your sense of peoples gaze. Once someones is gazing at you. They will be shown at the map in yellow and also the eye sign will appear to show you that you are being gazed at.*
/Huh? There is such sense?/
*According to the Chronical of Great Library humans of the ranger or similar profession may open such a skill when they are quite high leveled in their sensory stats.*
/When they are quite high? I am quite low leveled though will it be ok?/
*It's fine. Until you level up enough, I will take all the calculations needed for the skill use upon myself. It will however use up some of my calculative capability so if I need to make high resource analysis this function may stop working well.*
/I see./ Said Noah. /So the yellow dot behind me is the man that surveiling me right?/
*I assume so as well.*
/Then the blinking yellow dot that is moving from building to building is the woman. Is she moving on the roofs? No wonder I could not see her./
*I would assume she is a skilled ranger. It seems she specifically chose the side of the road with sun shining at her so that her shadow would not be seen on the road below.*
Noah looked at the road in front of him and saw that the building from his left throw a shadow to the street. If that woman moved on these roofs, the shadow she would throw could have given her away. Thus she chose the right side of the road.
/You are right. She did calculate even that it seems. At least now we sure she's there. Alright let's see the next skill./ Said Noah.
//View change//
//Gives another view of the target//
/Huh? Change view?/
*It's an active skill so it uses mana when used and then consumes mana all the time while it is activated. But you can freely use it now.*
/Nothing will happen in the middle of the street right?/
*It's safe. Go on, use it.* Answered system.
Noah used the skill and something strange happened. In his eyes scope of view a screen appeared where he could see a person standing with his back to him. However something was suspicious. This person was dressed just like him.
/Hold on. Is that me?/
*Yes. It shows you from a third person perspective. It's 3rd person view mode. It has some useful perks like seeing behind the corner. However this is not all. See the numbers above the screen. Try changing to number two.*
Noah did as system suggested and his view on the screen changed again. Now he saw his own face as if in the mirror including everything that was behind himself. As if he looked at himself from in front of himself. In surprise he immediately turned his head to one side and saw that this view followed the movement of his head, showing the scene behind turn as well. At one of the angles Noah saw the guy that he noticed following behind him before.
/Wow./ Thought Noah shocked. /This is insane. What's the third number?/ Asked Noah and willed to open it before system could explain.
Suddenly the view on the person started to rotated and zoom out. In the next moment Noah saw himself as if he looked at himself from the sky. He looked upward to see if there is some kind of object looking at him and saw nothing. However on the screen he saw himself looking himself in the eyes. That was a strange experience. While he looked up. He saw an interesting movement on the roof of one of the building near which he stood. In this view mode his watching perspective was so high that fit almost entire area of the minimap including rooftops and a woman hiding on one of them. When he looked up she moved away from edge and sat down, to not be noticed. However Noah could see her clearly.
/Th..this...How is this possible?/ He stuttered
*A high frequency waves of mana emitted by your body is interfering with surrounding objects…*
/Ok, ok you lost me at the word frequency. So you can stop explaining. It works and I am happy. System, you outdid yourself. With this I have no blind spots./
*And it's not all.*
/There's more?/
*It's not exactly a new skill, but just another function of the skill. Try choosing a person on the minimap, just like you will to touch something.*
Noah chose one of the yellow dots on his minimap.
*With this you locked the target on your minimap. Now notice how the //change view// skills explanation says it changes view of target instead of changing view of yourself. Try using skill again but now with this target locked on.*
Noah listened to the system's explanation attentively and used the skill change view again.
New screen appeared above the old one. Now showing two screens at the same time.
/Huh? Two screens/ Asked Noah surprised.
*Every new use opens a new screen. However mana spent every moment increases as well.*
/I see./ Said Noah looking at the recently appearing screen with an entirely new type of viewpoint. /So this allows me to see a 3rd person view of the locked on target?/
*Exactly.*
/I see…../
*.....*
/System?/
*...yes?*
/What the fuck is this?/
*User, do you remember how the system explained that it can create skills applicable only within the system Ugly Bastard Capability?*
/Yes, yes. I remember that well already./
*Well the lock on view was not actually applicable to the system. However, when I tweaked and played with its code a bit, I found a variation that was within the system's capability.*
/I see. And what do we call this view?/
*The panty shot view!* Said system while Noah looked at the great view of succulent firm dark skinned ass cheeks and thick thighs in stockings with a strip of dark violet panty showing from between them belonging to the feline cat girl in the black mini dress crouching on the rooftop above Noah.
/Wait. Why is this bitch wet?/ Asked Noah with a strange expression.
