Chapter 215 – Wicked entertainment and Mad woman
The coming of age Bachelor party of a first son and next family hair is a unique occasion that nobles took very seriously. This was an unofficial contest between the nobles where they showed off how successful and resourceful their household could be. For that they tended to surprise the guests with all kinds of entertainment that would appease the tastes of even the most spoiled nobleman.
For those of a unique taste like that, Margrave O’Sullivan prepared the entertainment that could be found by going down the stairs into the basement under the party venue.
The very stair that William tended to avoid while walking around the party venue, as it gave him goosebumps. He knew what kind of entertainment people going there were seeking. And he was greatly disgusted by it, yet had no say in his father's decisions.
Many nobles however, had no such feeling as him and on the contrary went there to seek unique types of joy.
It was an unsaid understanding among nobles that they were above common people and laws did not affect them equally. What was banned for most, they had no qualms of commiting. If only behind the doors and in the closed circles of high society, where they were sure no information would leak.
People participating in such parties were the ones aware of the monster family's secret. And where one secret was shared. Others could be too. If someone leaked information about the things they saw on such parties, they would be considered a menace among other families and not only would be boycotted by other nobles, but also would be falsely accused of spilling the most important secret, with many nobles attesting as witnesses, in the end bringing them to complete ruin. No one would risk doing that and as such all kinds of banned actions could be easily performed behind the closed door of this party.
For this party, Margrave O’Sullivan has prepared an entertainment that could be found separately from the main venue. In a gloomy windowless halls of the basement lit by candles, people could find several rooms that had the furnishing of lavish stylish bedrooms. However there was no doubt that they were no different from prison cells, with prison bars on one of the walls and manacles with chains attached to bed posts, walls and strange shaped tables.
Many beautiful women dressed in overly revealing clothes and adorned with slave magic collars that were considered forbidden, were held in these basement prison cells-bedrooms as entertainment. Those who came here to seek fun could do with them whatever they pleased.
As slavery was forbidden many nobles were wary of buying their own slaves or had no way of hiding them. As such quite a lot of young noblemen were happy to have a chance to use a slave as their grand-grand parents could freely do, decades ago.
Those women that were brought here understood their fates quite well as some of them had distraught faces full of fear and others sat with detached soulless gazes of hopelessness. They all had no doubt of what was awaiting them that evening when they saw all kind of vicious looking tools and torture devices spread around the rooms.
All them were bought by Margrave servants from different black markets and secretly brought here specifically for this night. In black market dungeons they were well regarded prostitutes, because of their prominent beautiful looks and were treated far better than any other slaves. Back there they still had hope to get free as it was not rare for a beauty to be bought as a concubine by some rich man on the black market.
Once they were brought here, however, they instantly had this hope completely crushed. Even if they were to survive, they would most probably be dealt with so as to not leave any witnesses. This evening would be their last.
For this party only exceptional beauties were selected, and in the end the beauty they put their hopes on, became the reason for their life’s miserable end. Not all could come to terms with it.
So when the party finally began and the first noble lords made their way to this basement, some of these beauties even tried to appeal to them to be chosen first in hope to charm the young men with their beauty. However, all the speckles of hope soon vanished once they were brought to a separate room and “fun” began.
In the black market, or as privately used slaves they may have been pampered and treated with care. However, on this party they were common use goods and nobles that came here did not seek gentleness and care. For most, this occasion was a rare treat. No one intended to waste it on play or talks. For that they had prostitutes on the party floor. Here, these men came to fulfill their darkest of desires and no amount of charm would distract them from it. They were wicked, unappealable and merciless.
They came to torture and enjoy the misery and pain of others. And soon the halls were filled with screams and begging for mercy.
When the first corpses of women, that did not live through the wicked sense of entertainment of these lords, started to be carried out by, the special servants wearing masks, and carried through the hall right in front of all other jailed women, a sense of dread and horror filled the hearts of everyone.
The corpses were brought to the furthest room where they were thrown into the pile, that would be taken care of after the party. There were always a monster family that would buy them.
Every new corpse meant someone’s turn to be selected as a play thing of these inhuman people.
One by one these enslaved women were dragged wailing and screaming into one of the prison cell-like rooms, and one by one new corpses were added to the pile as the evening dragged on.
In this dark basement filled with desperate sobs and anguished screams of women accompanied by wicked laughter of joy from the noble young masters, no one noticed a quiet rumble of a door and a shuffling noise of feet that came from the direction of the furthest, darkest corner in the hall.
A secret door in the rock-like wall opened with a barely audible sound, bringing a weak draft of stale air from the secret passage. However, over the stench of blood that now settled all over the room, this draft of stale air was unnoticeable.
The figure dressed in a dark mantle quietly slipped into the basement before closing the secret door behind and walked toward the pile of corpses that had been left to be taken care of after the party.
The figure passed through the dark hall and slipped into the room filled with the corpses of tortured to death women, lying in heap with faces of anguish and horror eternally frozen on their once beautiful faces.
The person in black gazed at the corpses for a few seconds in silence before raising hands and moving cape back, revealing her face.
A beautiful woman with long dark hair made into a delicate bun, and expensive jewelry on her neck and ears, watched at the pile of corpses with a dark gleam in her eyes, as a small wicked smile spread over her lips. A shadow of craziness could be seen in her expression.
She spread her hands in front of her, pointing her palms at the mountain of dead women and started whispering as the magic poured out of her body in dark fog. The magic filled the room, before slowly sinking into the corpses, saturating them with dark mana. As she muttered some words for several minutes her voice became louder as time passed. Soon she was so loud, her voice could be heard throughout the hall, which was immediately noticed by the servants attending this dark prison basement.
“Who’s there?” Asked the servant quickly, walking down the hall and opening the hall.
“Who are you? What are you doing here?” Asked the man seeing a person standing in the room where no one should have been.
The woman slowly turned her head, smiling gently at the man as he walked up to her.
“M..Madam? Why are you here?” He asked in shock as he recognized the wife of Margrave O'Sullivan, mother to his son William O’Sullivan and madam of the household - Clarisa O’Sullivan.
“Madam…haven’t you left to visit Young Lord William's fiance's, the De la Cour family household?” Asked the servant in bewilderment.
Knowing well what kind of entertainment was happening at the Bachelor party, the servants were aware that Madam was sent away under the pretext of a friendly visit to meet with Young Lord William’s fiance and future mother-in-law, Lady Evelina and Countess Dianne De la Cour.
However for some reason, instead, Madam O’Sullivan was found here and in the basement full of wicked entertainment of all places.
“Shhhh.” Voiced madam pressing her index finger to the lips. “This is a surprise for my dear Lord husband. Can you keep a secret about this?” Said Clarissa O’Sullivan.
“Madam….I….” Started to say the servant but a sudden stab of knife under his chin, stopped his movement, as it pierced through his throat and hit into the base of his skull.
As the madam jerked her hand away, pulling the knife out of his throat in one smooth move, the servant's body dropped lifeless to the floor.
At that moment two more servants reached the room and were immediately alarmed when they saw the corpse of a servant in front of an armed woman. It took then a few moment to recognize the madam of the house.
“Go call the master.” Said one of the servant to another.
However before the second servant could react, his head fell off his shoulder.
“Call my husband? There is no need. I was going to go to him myself. Me, and all my new daughters. I gave him family but he was not happy. It was not enough? Well, I will make even bigger family. Will he be happy then? What do you think?” She muttered with a mad smile on her face.
“I don’t know madam…” said the servant taking a few steps back, slowly backing out of the room.
“You don’t know? YOU MEN NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU NEED! WHAT ELSE CAN WE GIVE IF YOU TOOK ALL AND STILL DON'T KNOW IF IT’S ENOUGH OR NOT!” Screamed madam like crazy and clapped her palm.
A wave of mana spread through the room from her clap and suddenly a white fog started to rise from the pile of corpses.
A few moments later other servants.
The servant at that moment turned away and ran with his full power, leaving the madam behind.
“Yes. Raise my daughters. Come to me. Come to your mother.” Chanted a mad looking madam as she looked at the white fog with a loving gaze.
Soon several half transparent women floated over the pile with agonized faces.
“I know. You all wish to be back. Wish to take revenge on those wicked bastards. But for that you need bodies. Go! Possess those women that are imprisoned in this basement. After that, we will slaughter everyone!”
