Special Chapter 2 Part 4: The Story

Again, not an accurate depiction of the Philippine government.

The cabinet was shocked, and their expression towards the president has become strange, because even though the 1987 constitution didn't forbid anyone, from the poorest of retards to the president of the richest corporation to become a president of the state as long as their age and citizenship requirement has been met, all of them, or some of them who's not aware of the truth have an unspoken rule that a president should never be a business man.

"Please explain this... Mr. President..."

The Commissioner of Elections slowly said this, looking at the president with hostile eyes. In contrast, some of the other cabinet members, those who had held their positions since the beginning, in short, the true allies of the president in the cabinet, frowned at the man.

The President of the Philippines was speechless, ignoring the commissioner of elections, thinking of why is he still holding on in this bastard of a investment despite him being ungrateful, in fact, his cabinet and Apolinario himself doesn't know why is that the case and in the end, only Emilio will learn of the reason in the future.

Though that story has already been narrated last time.

"You... you..."

The president heard coaxing and requests to open fire, yet President Segundo knew that this order would be useless, for he already inferred that if Apolinario was killed or died, this man would have contingencies that would destroy his reputation of him and his father's company in an instant. That's right, all this time, Apolinario is right, the president of the Philippines is also a very late heir of the largest conglomerate in Southeast Asia.

In the end, all of the militants are ordered to lower their weapons.

"Alright, for my assurance, I'll never let this gun away of my head, and of course, I also request everyone to remember the fun fact about cyanides I just said."

Apolinario said casually, as if no gun was pointed at his head, he then put a blueprint of a diamond-shaped object in front of the cabinet, and let other people read the title.

"Emilio's Bomb...?"

Apolinario nodded.

"Yes, well, as a politician, I value transparency and don't hide my identity to secretly control the country from the shadows like this one president I know... Anyway, because of my emphasis on transparency, I would like to tell my demands."

Apolinario put his index finger up.

"First of all, I would like for Emilio to be revoked of his degree because of unethical use of special knowledge, this paper in my hand is the evidence, and yes, this is the file that's been misisng since 3 days ago, and because I'm amazingly trained by Mr. President to be a capable manipulator, I was able procure it from the courier."

Apolinario then put up another finger.

"Next, I want a constitutional amendment that prohibits any kind of political dynasties and business heirs from taking any office, but because some might really have good intentions, make it so that they will surrender the management of their assets to an independent commission that focuses on this and also make them have the right to demand explanation to this commission... also, in, say 3 years, I want an exemption to run for president because I might need to pound this government into shape."

Apolinario paused, yet no cabinet member spoke, because, as it was said earlier, they knew just how decisive this young man is; they felt like they would just make a fool out of themselves if they asked why he is so confident of this arrangement.

"Hey, that's no fun, you all have to be cheerful. Now, to my 'bargaining chip', it's really simple, really."

"I have stored all of the evidences of the dirt of the president, from him being a heir of a big company to his drugs, weapons and other under the table deals in the pretext of state visits in other countries... and yes, the bomb Emilio is creating will be used by the Segundo Conglomerate to become the most powerful weapon dealer, and, as a heads-up, my very prodigious friend was able to find a way to equate, prove and apply the theoretical energy, Planck energy into the bomb. Now, it can solve the energy problem of the country for all eternity, maybe make the bills of the common people free... but no, Mr. President here wanted to create a bomb that can destroy the world, and possibly cause those sci-fi rip in space time because Planck energy is the highest form of energy that upholds the laws of physics that we know... also, every single one of the cabinet, even myself have dirt in the archive."

"Also, yes, the Segundo conglomerate infiltrated this palace, used the secret service to find the 3 greatest geniuses of this generation, and then trained them as their loyal dogs... and you know what's more fun? The trigger for all these information to reach all internet providing satellite, hack weather satellite and every single computer in the world and then transfer all of these dirt is the moment I died, I was killed, I disappeared, I was investigated even by a minute or my girlfriend and friend died, killed, investigated, or disappeared."

Apolinario looked at the president.

"And, you know, because I'm very amazing, once a system analyzes in any way the firewall of the archive, all the information will be sent to the whole world too."

Apolinario, looking at his colleagues who have pale faces for not realizing that Apolinario was ready to use all of their shady businesses just for the disqualification of the doctorate degree of his friend.

Apolinario of course is not bluffing, after all, like he said, he is the second most influential politician in the Philippines, so influential that the amendments of the interior governance will not be able to proceed without his directive, and even though it was a wonder how did the President tolerated the presence of such a dangerous man in his cabinet to the point of letting this situation explode like this, he didn't even noticed that their best hacker in the secret services department has been blackmailed by him a long time ago, storing all dirt he have find to a godly software that will really do what Apolinario proclaimed.

He used this information bomb this time to betray his friend, to save him.

"Ah, I forgot, after I said the security camera thing, all microphones and listening devices have been blocked... use that information in your discretion, please..."

The president, who was caught off guard and was not prepared for a proper counter attack looked at his investment with pale face and widened eyes, thinking of solutions he can take, the only way is to ask for hep of other countries, however, this is not possible for the payment of the country will surely receive the informations stored and they might even just directly set the information bomb alight to have this information.

For the first time, Alejandro Segundo has realized the weight of his mistake, now, all he can do is to do as Apolinario says and forsake the greatest genius to have ever grazed the planet, just so that he, his cabinet, his company, and ultimately, his country would not get destroyed.

Apolinario and all people close to him have become untouchable.

___________

The next day, orphanage where Emilio was woken up by a letter, the letter's title says.

"Notice of the disqualification of the PhD degree of former Doctor of Philosophy in physics Emilio due to unethical use of specialized knowledge."

Emilio, his magnificent brain doesn't need to read the whole letter.

In his mind, all of the dots have been connected, the disappearance of the lab report... Apolinario's disappearance... and Apolinario's personality as well as his certainty in his own judgement have made him know the truth, and, for some baffling reason, tears started to drop from the eyes of this emotionless genius.

"What have you done... Apolinario..."

___________

All of those scenes are still vivid in Apolinario's mind.

The hollowed out eyes of Emilio, looking like a person who has lost his only purpose, as well as the silent stare of his friend when Apolinario forced him to become a chess player, a questioning look, yet Emilio didn't start asking.

His friend betrayed him, and even though Emilio would later know that he was being used by the president for such bad dealings, this fact will never change.

Apolinario also watched how his friend discovered his uncanny ability to make the crushing defeat of the experts he destroyed in their field of expertise even more despairing, he watched how his friend slowly, but surely enjoyed watching, with a faint smile on his face, the charging old people in chess tournaments, or e-sports tournament or whatever he plunched into that he dominated, abandoning their reason just so that they can get back to the kid that trampled on their pride.

Emilio slowly spiraled down the path of sadism.

Yet Apolinario didn't regret it, after all, someone can watch a sadist, can make them predictable and reject something that they don't want to do, maybe because he won't be able to see the ugly mug of crying old men in the verge of having cardiac arrest when he did something and that in itself is not normally okay, for Apolinario and Manila, it was enough.

As long as Emilio has the emotional capacity to reject something because his emotions say he doesn't want to do that thing, it would be fine.

Apolinario sighed, again saying to his friend's grave: "I'm sorry," before leaving.

However, before he could even turn back, he saw the whole world turn black and then white again before hearing the words.

"Don't worry, it's fine, I forgive you."

It was from a woman, positioned from her back, who is not the First Lady.

In fact, with the woman's voice alone, Apolinario can say that no woman, even his wife, can match this lady's beauty.

"Ops, I shouldn't use this form."

The woman, with a voice so luscious that adulterous thoughts have started to permeate in the mind of the current president of the Philippines, said before continuing.

"There... there..."

Apolinario, hearing the voice change into a very familiar voice, snapped his whole body forward to see a young boy with black hair and eyes. This face is so familiar to Emilio, yet those emotions, the cheeky, confident, and haughty look on them, are strange.

"As you can see, I'm not dead, and I shall say, thank you for taking down the Segundo Conglomerate right after I die, that's a very bro move..."

Apolinario is still speechless as he sees his deceased friend again, the man who was assassinated by his own relatives.

"I'm..."

Emilio shook his head and then, with a snap of a finger, they disappeared from the grave and appeared at a bar seemingly designed for royalties. Emilio also changed form; in the eyes of Apolinario, he now became tall with white hair, tanned skin, and white eyes.

"What in the world..."

The president asked, dumbfounded.

Yet his friend just slid him a tequila whilst Emilio himself had one.

"Hey, hey, y'all said it yourselves, right? Everything is possible for me..."

Apolinario heard a snap, and again, the two changed places, now as giants, sitting on the planet Earth itself.

Apolinario feels like this is a dream, but like Emilio has said, for him, everything is possible; thus, in a short time, he started to accept every shenanigan that happened in seemingly the longest second of his life.

"Apolinario, my friend, let me tell you the story of how Emilio, the squandered genius of the pearl of the Orient, ascended to the throne only he can conquer."

The story of Fulfillment.

The story of self-discovery.

The story of forgiveness...

The story of Sophia Demiurge.

Next are the 18+ scenes, but I gotta focus on my sequel, so it might take a long time.
