Chapter 212: Isn’t that Harassment Though?
Eris started to feel like this conversation is not normal, so much so that her head started to bob left and right and then up and down slowly whilst looking at Sophia, and no, not because she was a fool, it's because she was really confused on how can this Sophia Demiurge in front of her can remain so calm and collected, all of the numerous Sophias before became erratic, cried, or tried to do anything in their feeble power to escape the seal.
And all of that happened before all those Sophias were sealed... this Sophia, however, even after she got sealed and was able to have temporary respite from her supposed inevitable end, was able to talk how great her body is and even ask her how did she end up as the bane of the universe's existence.
Eris, yet again, thought of all the things she might have not considered, and yet again, she had found nothing that might have made time overlook an event, something that not even the goddess of creation can now freely control, the only concept that can be considered absolute.
"What are you trying to do?"
Eris' brain started to hurt as if her subconscious was fighting desperately against something that was invading her mind, yet the owner of the said brain wasn't able to notice this and instead asked Sophia, who answered with a sigh.
"I am flirting with you."
Again, Eris felt like all of the Sophias before are more reasonable than this Sophia even though those people basically have "random bullshit go" as plan in defeating her, who the hell flirts with the literal person that sealed them?
Is Sophia out of her mind?
Eris again tilted her head, confusion apparent on her face that made Sophia smile as if feeling giddy on seeing another side of the woman she loves.
Though with her earlier remarks, that's highly unlikely.
"Aw, come on, I'm already dead like this and already doesn't have any hope in reversing this situation, my best bet disintegrated somehow with effects I don't even know, so I might as well shoot my shot for a 4th one, right? Who knows, I might get a peck on the cheeks before you end me and everything that exists in the world."
Sophia replied, as if resigned to her fate but on the flip side might still have something up her sleeve, and smiled.
Her smile feels genuine yet synthetic at the same time.
"Well, we can only have so much time before you release all your pent-up emotions. I'm a good listener."
Though she prefers if it's the mindless moans of women...
Sophia can't really say that, though. Besides, Sophia needed five minutes, and she just spent 2 minutes, 30 seconds, and counting; there's still a lot of time before Eris realizes that she's been stalling for time.
"I guess... I can tell you my story then... though I should warn you, you might question your affiliation... or might even outright hate yourself."
Hearing this, Sophia shook her head.
"What is about to happen after everything that happened is already set, I mean, look, my wives are too weak to help me and I don't know why but the other strong people seem to know that they shouldn't fight their roles in the time loop, no help is coming for me, I lost, so say what all you want to say and please sit down in front of me while doing so, I might be able to focus more if you did just that."
Eris finally heard something that makes sense come out of Sophia's mouth, though the last part is still questionable; it's true that Sophia practically has no hope in this ordeal and can only wait for her inevitable demise.
Though, of course, Eris still feels like something is wrong.
Nevertheless, the dictator of time has decided to entertain Sophia so that she can probe her true intentions.
____________
In the beginning, the Mother Goddess of Creation created the world of Pentateuch.
Unlike the Earth, the other, as of the moment, living planet in the entirety of the universe of Paraluman, Pentateuch doesn't need billions of years of evolution to create one single life, in a snap, trees, breathable air and simple life have been made to exist by the goddess of creation that personally created the best atmosphere for the beings of this world just so that the mortals she have planned to become bearers of mana, the energy that operates the cosmos and sets a limit on how physics should play out will have a good life.
A brilliant move, really, for that means the humans of Pentateuch will not be able to destroy their planet because they won't strive to use fossil fuels if they have the purest and most potent energy known to the intelligent life of the universe.
However, like the creator herself has said, she has made one big mistake, she has divided most of her divinities and let them become elder gods, these elder gods became the ones that will create mortals.
And everything started to deteriorate when one god that is yet to gain full personality, and quite honestly also doesn't know what he was doing, the god of death, future creator of undeads who was named Siginarugan created his first child, this god, is quite the perfectionist, one can even say that he's the most suitable person to wield the divinity of time for how death comes at someone in the perfect moment in the perfect time, yet because he also has sustained injuries during the war of gods, he was not able to do so.
Going back, Siginarugan, alongside his brothers and sisters, was tasked to create progenitors for their race that they would govern.
Thus, from the mud, Siginarugan molded a woman as an experiment in order to be able to create the perfect mortal, amortal that can be killed only by the being that rules them.
And the very first product of his experiments is what he called Eris.
This one mortal, with the power given by the still budding power system of the world, the "weapon familiar" have the unique power to use the concept of "error", a very powerful ability and in this time's current standard, might even be able to propel Eris to be the strongest of calamities even without her current power as the dictator of time.
Yet still, even with [Error], Siginarugan is not satisfied.
He felt like something was missing... or perhaps something was wrong with the first product he had made.
Thus, he consulted the King of Monsters, the one in charge of creating tribulations for the mortals of the world, which also in fact is also just experimenting on how to fill such a role.
The King of Monsters created a monster and gave him fighting instructions while Siginarugan did so too. Eris, at that time didn't have emotions and just wanted to obey her "father", so the two fought, and in the end, within an inch of her life, Eris won.
But still, the god who was yet to gain emotions finally realized the mistake in the design of his creation.
_My race doesn't need a beating heart._
Such were the thoughts of Siginarugan, the thoughts that will make him and her first daughter have an irreparable relationship.
Of course, Siginarugan doesn't have a way to learn such a thing, and from that moment on, Eris was relegated from being a daughter, to being a servant, all of her education (that was from Paraluman that was also inspired by the things on earth) were cut off and was only thought by her fellow "rejects" on how to become a lead servant.
Eris, though, of course didn't complain, it was the will of her father, and his will be done on earth, as it is in heaven... or haven, because the place they were in currently is the future Thanatos. However, every day, every night, she can't help but think, what's wrong with me?
Why can't I become the queen of my father's race?
Why not me?
These question brewed in her mind, hour by hour, day by day, month by month... endlessly, these single inquiry turned into a whirlpool of restrained hatred, hatred on the perfect undeads, hatred on her father, hatred on her Kingdom and hatred to the world, hell, even hatred to the very universe that decided to create such a twisted world where being able to breath is a sin for the god of death.
That's why, when the mother goddess of creation offered her the power to control the time loop for reasons unknown to Eris, she immediately accepted it.
Eris doesn't know how or why the goddess of creation was not able to see her true intentions, but even if the creator knew and just let her play around, Eris doesn't care.
Eris was neglected by her father.
Neglected by the world, and only the ones who knew of her power knew her out of fear
And thus she decided that she would burn down this cold world to feel its warmth.
__________
"My error ability got sealed by the system so that I won't be more powerful than I already am, and I later knew through my brother Loki that the goddess of creation have sacrificed all of her three omni powers and also seem to not able to fully grasp time even with the three of them is with her if she didn't intend to do so, so when she saw the future of the world being destroyed, she never saw me as the one that will continuously make her see her planet explode with sands of time. Of course, because the time loop have already restarted several times, she already knew who I am, but because the system have already banned her and the gods from descending personally and can only intervene against through other mortals she can't do anything about me anymore, that's the reason of your existence... and you might have already know this and you seem to not mind, but you're the last one of Sophias."
Eris paused for a moment, looking at the deeply contemplating Sophia with a seemingly conflicted expression as she seemed to mutter something continuously.
_She has never done anything so far._
With that thought, Eris continued.
"Unfortunately, like I said earlier, even the goddess of creation can't use time without intent, and with your confused face, even the creator seem to not be able to realize this flaw of hers..."
Sophia remained silent, still looking confused, actually, her face looked so confused that she seemed not to notice the pain of her struggle, though, of course, because Eris was granted permission to speak of her, the dictator of time decided to continue talking.
"Well, I know you have already inferred this, but looking at how the "absolute one" can't even control time, this means that time itself is the only true absolute concept in the whole universe, it cannot be stopped unless time itself gave you permission to control it and even then, the controller can't understand it completely... this is the reason of your defeat."
Eris wanted to stir emotions from Sophia, but still, the woman continued to murmur things to herself, causing Eris to look at the face of the woman who had been staring at her bulging chest the whole time, and after 4 seconds of murmuring, the queen of the undeads finally asked.
"... That's tragic and a new low even for an asshole like Siginarugan, but... where is Loki?"
At that question, the confident face of Eris instantly froze as if it was dipped in liquid nitrogen, she finally realized one of the flaws of her memory, something that she found strange... yet normal at the same time.
And in that moment, her sclera once again turned pitch black, and alongside her sclera is the sclera of Urduja, Bakunawa, Aoi, Kasikis of Mayari, all the powerhouses of the world that might or might not know of the origins of devils and vampires like Eleanor, among others.
Even the gods have their eyes turned black for a moment, alongside the whole palace of Paraluman being engulfed by a brief mist of darkness that only took a second. Looking at each other, the mother and son trio were silent for a moment before Siginarugan snorted and started to laugh out loud.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! TINA YOU SON OF A BITCH!"
For a moment, even the tesseract of the time loop itself completely lost its bright blue hue and darkened on all of its sides.
__________
[Notice: Warning! The time loop has been deceived by the god of the distortion world: Tina! Planting a false memory in the tesseract and to the mortals of the world! Automatic purging sequence activated!]
[Notice: Warning! The individual who has deceived the time loop has already perished! Purging him is undoable!]
Everyone on the planet, even the smiling Sophia, who at some point has started to break free further from her seal, heard, or remembered one teeny tiny detail from deep within their brain.
Loki... the devils, are not undeads... but rather the children of the god Tina, the god of the distortion world.
Most prominently known as the pinnacle of trickery, the god of deceit, and the progenitor of all illusions.
"I didn't know that."
That's what all Sophia can say.
