Chapter 210: The Great Restart

[Restart]

Such is the word uttered by the dictator of time herself, such is the power of the strongest calamity in the whole world and the bane of the goddess of creation herself that caused such a great existence to willingly offer her body to the last Sophia, who have again inevitably failed, if she ever succeeded in ending the time loop.

Nothing fancy, just plain, old time Restart, basically it just makes a small-scale restart of the past or enactment of the future... Alongside miscellaneous abilities like being able to see anyone or anything that moves at the same rate as 1 frame per existence of time, as Sophia would call it.

Maybe that's the reason why Sophia opted to walk casually, using her prized ability [Unquantifiable by Time] is just useless against her opponent, but in any case, all of these don't matter anymore for Eris, for her, one thing is what she's been gleeful about all this time.

With the failure of the last Sophia, in 10 minutes, she would succeed in using up all the Planck energy of the universe and destroy the cosmos that the gods, especially the one Eris loathes the most, Siginarugan, are trying oh-so-desperately to save.

"All those repeated years of suffering in your hands..."

Eris felt gleeful; however, the dictator of time, a dictator that she retained her composure as she continued to watch the breathtaking scene that came right after she utilized the ultimate function of [Restart], restart the time of Planet Pentateuch.

The moment the dictator of time activated her ability, millions, nay, hundred of millions of blue and ethereal, beautiful and terrifying sands of time in the shape of almost microscopic pocket watches erupted from her body and soaked up a 50 meter radius with her as the central point, the trees, grass and soil that was swallowed down by the swirling sand of time that already started to rise had all their movements down to their last atom halt in place as if awaiting orders and won't even dare move if they are not allowed.

These, alongside the air, vapor, and dust that are in the air of the tornado of sands of time that seem to reach up to the end of the planet's exosphere or even beyond, have also halted their subatomic movements.

If this tornado that's increasing in density were released and were made to latch onto the earth of planet Pentateuch, this process wouldn't be as instantaneous and would need 10 minutes to get activated.

The pillar of swirling almost microscopic sands of time caused 1/4th of the face of Pentateuch that's not facing the sun to light up, seemingly willing to compete against Urduja's repeated [God's Finger].

This phenomenon and display of power made the opposition of the armies of Urduja, Mayari, and Kamatayan to either get back the morale that they had already depleted due to being on the Mayari front or get even more motivated, attacking the somehow backing off undeads fervently.

Well, even the wives, generals and living soldiers of Sophia was quite shaken for just a second before such a beautiful impending disaster, all of their communication with Sophia has been cut off, for a moment, all of their thoughts swerved into that of abandoning their orders and saving their queen, causing them to falter, but the contingency of Sophia called subtly brainwashing her allies so that all of them will align with her plan made these seditious thoughts fly off the window and their minds to refocus in their respective fights again, though because the illusion is subtle, worry is still etched in their faces.

At this point of time, Eris looks like a glowing blue-colored light as she continued to release the particles of time that she have been bestowed by the foolish goddess of creation as the tornadoes of time continued to become denser and denser until it practically seized becoming an ethereal tornado and turned into a twisting pillar capable of piercing the very heavens where gods reside. This form, however, only lasted for a brief moment, not even allowing mere spectators to admire it for even a second, in a flash, the tall tower of time exploded and once again become individual time particles, only now, these sands of times started to move towards every metaphorical corner of Pentateuch, and as they did, the ethereal blue particles also started to coalesce into straight, sometimes curved, sometimes pointed shapes depending on where in the world the observer is.

Though, as if they are oblivious, the fighting soldiers, powerhouse or normal seem to be oblivious of this change, and even when the particles finally created a new shape that when seen from above Pentateuch is that of a blue, illusory clock that encompassed the whole world, they continued fighting as if this change has nothing to do with them.

Well, someone does have a reaction, and that is to turn his, alongside all the sclera of every participant of the war, to jet black just before all of them can react.

_That should be enough... she's already stronger than me and Urduja..._

Of course, Eris didn't notice all of them, with her chests bobbing up and down due to exhaustion of engulfing the whole world with her power, her crimson-red pupils turned blue and unlike Sophia, this blue is darker and more prominent, drowning the red hue in her eyes.

[Dictation]

Eris muttered, causing one last, bigger pocket watch to appear 1 meter above her head and slowly descend to herself, the centerpiece of the world engulfing watch, it took a second, too short, yet too long for Eris before the pocket watch entered her body, and as she did, the whole world quaked.

It's not really that damaging, it's just a single sway of the ground, and unlike before, the warriors alongside the mere spectators felt an existential, soul shuddering bad premonition, as if the doom of themselves, their atoms... their very existence has now been sealed.

Even the gods above who can only watch can't help but held their breath to a halting pause and clutch their armrests.

_We are requested not to interfere even after the failure of Sophia... but... can she really succeed after this point?_

At this question of the deities watching form above, one of them, Siginarugan felt a headache and can't help but tilt his head and stare intently at the "screen" in front of himself.

The god of undead, felt like he... no, they have forgotten something.

Though of course, the mortals doesn't have a way to know of this thought for the moment the quake stopped, the blue gigantic watch shone brightly, brighter and brighter until the whole world was momentarily engulfed with blue blinding light.

__________

The whole world, upon seeing the bright light froze in place, all of the fights from Genesis or the spies that are going back and forth to report the situations, or even just those that are disturbed to the continues changing of the brightness of the night sky ceased all of their bodily movement, in their head, is one single notification.

[Notice: The Dictator of Time [Eris Darkbringer] have Dictated the Time loop to restart for the one last time, the complete sequence of restart will be completed in 10 minutes, everyone is ordered to follow what the time loop has given to you as your role and movements, failure for compliance will immediately lead to termination using the automatic purging system of the time loop, as a requirement set by the Mother Goddess of Creation, all memories of every individuals in every time loop will be reinjected in their brain.]

The moment this notification ended and a pendulum sound was heard in everyone's head, the brightness subsided by being slowly absorbed by the dilated eyes of all living beings on Pentateuch, and alongside this light are flashes of memories of their previous lives, or at least, their lives in different loops of the planet they live in.

For normal people, it was just their typical movements, again and again, in repeat, if one is a farmer, then the moment after he was born, trained by his father/mother how to farm and then his yearly anticipation of the yields, some maybe are lucky enough to experience in their every lives the rise of their fields from a simple farm into a prime cotton raw material trading point, raking in large stash of money.

If one is a fisherman, then the moment they were born, they will see their first encounter with normal sea fishes and the occasional monsters of the ocean that are being kept at bay by nothing but the existence of the ancient calamity Mizukuni Mamorite, though he is now dead, going back, like farmers, they might see their perpetually hard and mundane life or see themselves repeatedly, with the same heartbeat, number of breaths and strides become a hotshot because of their fishing spot that they have monopolized by creating a dock that have a toll fee, becoming shrewd due to the passage of time.

That's right, for these normal, unassuming people that only have basic fishing or farming or negotiating common skills, all they saw are these, yes essential, but still common, uneventful days of their lives, even then, all of these "normal" people started to shed tears and slump to their knees weakly at the realization that all this time, their lives has been being orchestrated by someone, someone they didn't even know, well, technically, they do know who Eris was but they didn't know him enough to the point of being even in her Kingdom.

Nobles... children... merchants... everyone stopped on their tracks and instantly had an identity crisis as they realized what they are doing are just repeat of what they have been doing for hundreds or even thousands of times.

If these normal people that bears none of the weight to balance the powers of the planet felt such a great, unfiltered shock, how about those so called "buffers" of their own race and nations? How about the calamities, Urduja, Aerendil and Roselle the Fixer, and how about the weaker, yet equally significant ones? Eleanor... Bakunawa... Hebi... The two emperors of Kasikis... the kings of the nations of the continent of Exodus and Numbers...

___________

Kingdom of Valentine, the ruins of the capital, City of Eris.

The fighting between the three clay puppets of Eleanor, Eleanor herself and Hebi came into a screeching halt as the two individuals saw their past lives transpire before them, some ended right at the moment they tried to move away from each other after the light subsided, some ended the moment Sophia or Loki did something that may violate the "time loop" as it was said by the system, even when the light subsided, the two stared at each other, unprecedented despair is evident in their eyes.

For Eleanor, it was the thought of having to finish the fight before having the time loop allow her to aid her wife, however, of course that would be already too late, thus she looked at the direction of the focus of the planetary clock's center.

However, Hebi who's still in her giant form have beads of sweat flowing out of her forehead.

_I can't remember Loki at all..._

__________

The westernmost city of Apolaki, or more specifically, it's ruins, a serpent is looking at the headless body of a gigantic eagle at it's metaphorical feet, all over them are tongues of flames and auroras that freezes and melts everything in their path again and again.

"Sophi... Sophia needs help..."

Bakunawa, with her still falling scales looked at the direction of her wife's fight as her brain that doesn't boast the greatest processing plays out how did she watch Sophia, that's in every life of hers is her lover fail time and time again and shout cries of indignation without Bakunawa even being capable of helping her... she bowed to not be a bystander like before, however, just when she was about to move, her whole serpent body morphed back into her small appearance, except it's bloodied and seem to be paralyzed as of the moment.

_Damn... my battle lust..._

___________

The two closest women to Sophia was rattled, ready to destroy their roles on the time loop's canon events, even the heroes, "angels", S- ranked Familiares, and the living human calamity Urduja as well as the undead former smartest man in the world stopped in their tracks, like Bakunawa and Eleanor, they looked at the direction of Sophia, their face laced with worry, and some even with fear.

Yet their pride let them get to know what they have to do at this moment.

They have to help Sophia, and help her, they did, with their various means, they started to float up from the sky and was ready to fly to the location of Eris, however, just when the "strong" individuals capable of joining the battlefield that's yet to take off was about to float, they felt another tremor.

"What is it this time...?"

___________

Mayari empire, in it's airspace, in the midst of the despair of the people of the empire, the bright blue surroundings suddenly turned pitch black, causing all this people to look at the sky unconsciously.

There they saw a pitch black sky, making them wonder as how is it possible for the sky to turn blue and black in a matter of minutes, however, if one is to see this site from above, they will see a gargantuan orb of black matter seemingly within a solid water-like object that encompasses the whole sky of the empire.

This black orb then suddenly lost it's integrity and dispersed in a thick black fog that swept Mayari, Apolaki, Genesis, and finally, the whole world.
